Dashing Star and Moonlily stood by one of the tables in the main hall where Octavia along with her band was giving a true show of classical music. Star was very nervous and really didn't know what to do, he couldn't even look at his date for too long without averting his gaze.

Moonlily on the other hoof had the time of her life, most stallions were very straightforward and bold, so it was a nice change. She couldn't help but giggle at how nervous he was and how cute it made him look, but soon she decided that she had enough fun and took the first step.

"Hey Star, how about we go for a walk? Find a less crowded place?" She asked.

It took him few seconds to realize she spoke to him, but when it finally hit him he smiled nervously, "S-Sure, where to?" he mumbled out.

She put her hoof to her chin and thought about her options for a few moments, then she came up with an idea, "How about I give you a tour around the castle?"

Star cocked his eyebrow, "You do realize I'm guard in this Castle?" he made a circle in the air with his hoof, "As if in, this castle?"

She chuckled, "Sure you are, but I'm a maid here, and guards are not allowed into all places that we are allowed." She said and winked playfully.

Star wanted to reply somehow but he found nothing, after few moments of looking over pros and cons of the situation, he nodded. "Lets go then."

"Great." She simply said and walked away from their table, Star quickly caught up with her, and they soon were at the door leading to the hallway.

He wanted to open the door for his mare, but as his hoof was about to touch the handle, doors suddenly burst open almost hitting him in the muzzle.

He quickly recognized a pony who walked through them, and with a big smile on his face he raised his hoof. "Rainbow Dash!"

Said mare smiled as well, seeing her rival and raised her hoof towards his, "Dashing Star, didn't expect to see you here." She said as their hooves bumped.

"I could say the same thing, didn't think Gala was your sort of party?"

"Maybe it's not, but that might change by the end of it."

Star suddenly became confused and asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, you'll see."

Moonlily stared in silence, confused at first but then recognizing Rainbow, she was well aware of her position as an element of loyalty, at first it was a surprise that Star knew her, but then she added two and two together.

"I take it that you two met on some kind of race?" Moonlily said.

Star suddenly got shot right back to the earth, as for a moment he completely forgot about his beautiful date standing next to him. "Sorry, Rainbow Dash this is Moonlily, Moonlily this is Rainbow Dash, yes we met during a race."

"I totally beat his ass."

"Hey!"

"What? It's true."

Moonlily chuckled, but she suddenly was even more confused, one more pony walked through the doors, Soarin of the Wonderbolts.

"Dashie, how long did you plan on making me hold these doors?" He asked.

"Is, is that Soarin?" Moonlily asked Star quietly, she wasn't some kind of Wonderbalts crazy fan, but she sure knew that pony standing in front of her was a well known celebrity, and an awesome flyer.

"Apparently so, I heard these two got married." He replied quietly.

Rainbow looked at her husband for a moment then back at Dashing. "Hey, you two never met before right?"

Both stallion shook their heads simultaneously.

"All right, you two will get along I bet, sorry Star but my friends are waiting for me, and buffet is waiting for Soarin."

Wonderbolt gave Rainbow an angry glare to which she replied with a smirk.

"Sure thing, oh hey just before you leave, I heard that you're, well, how do I say this—"

"Pregnant?" Rainbow finished for him.

Star felt his cheeks redden as he nodded.

"I sure am, almost two months and counting," she said as she pointed towards her belly, "this filly will one day become the second fastest flyer in all of Equestria, right behind me."

"So it's a girl?" Star asked, "Wait how can you know this early?"

"We don't," Soarin answered, "but Rainbow really wants her first child to be a filly for some reason, she usually gets what she wants."

"Hey, first and only child," she said with a small scowl on her muzzle, "I won't take another eleven months of 'taking it easy', this is so frustrating."

"Dashie,—"

"Don't you 'Dashie' me!" she cut him off, "You can fly all you want while I have to sit down and 'relax', I admit I like taking a nap from time to time but everything has a damn limit!"

Soaring nervously smiled, "Well then, we'll see you two later." He said as he grabbed Rainbow by her hoof and quickly trotted with her into the crowd.

"Wow." Star said.

"Mares can be scary when pregnant." Moonlily said.

Star agreed completely, he shook his head and put his hoof on the handle, he opened the doors and motioned for her to go first.

"What a gentlecolt." She said and walked by him, Star following her into the hallways of Canterlot Castle.

Octavia bowed towards the crowd and swiftly left the scene, leaving her fellow musicians to occupy the audience. She had to go and look for Vinyl, their main act was supposed to start soon.

She entered the backstage and asked few ponies who where handling the instruments, both classical and electronic, about Vinyls whereabouts, but to her surprise her friend left backstage sometime ago.

She went to the toilet and few other places she thought Vinyl might be at, but she was nowhere to be found. Octavia, slightly mad walked through the hallways, asking anypony she met if they saw white mare with pink shades anywhere.

Right when she was supposed to give up, one of the waiters said that he indeed saw her sometime ago, as she entered the room 203.

"Room 203?" Octavia asked confused, "Pardon me, but why would rooms in Canterlot Castle be numbered like in some kind of hotel?"

"It's one of the guest rooms, we number them so it's easier for visitors to not get lost in here." He answered.

"Thank you." She said, and with some irritation still left in her she trotted in the direction waiter pony gave her.

She soon found it, and quickly walked in. But to her dismay Vinyl was nowhere to be seen. She facehoofed and was about to leave, but suddenly a single noise caught her ear.

She turned around and walked towards a big wardrobe that sneezed a moment ago, and as far as she knows wardrobes don't sneeze.

Octavia opened it and to her utmost satisfaction she found Vinyl, with her shades slightly down making a part of her eyes visible, Vinyl's muzzle adorned a dumb smile as she waved her hoof and said, "Sup Tavi?"

"'Sup Tavi'?" Octavia repeated with anger in her voice, "Don't you 'Sup Tavi' me! What do you think you're doing, hiding in here when our show is about to start?!"

"I was preparing for our performance."

"In a wardrobe?" Octavia asked with cocked eyebrow.

Vinyl looked straight into Octavia's eyes and with her voice as stoic as possible she replied, "Yes."

Octavia sighed, she looked at her friend, but not with anger this time, rather than malice her eyes showed compassion, "We both know why you are here Vinyl, but lets face it you two will have to talk it out eventually."

White mare's smile suddenly disappeared, she corrected her shades and nodded, "Yeah I know."

Octavia smiled and offered Vinyl a hoof, "Come now, you were the one that wanted to rock the Gala." While I was, and still am against it Octavia added in her thoughts, as she still was scared about their duo act not meeting with great responses from this kind of audience.

Vinyl accepted her friend's hoof and nodded, "Sure, lets rock it!"

Luna and Discord stood by the buffet, Princess of the Night nervously rubbed one of her hooves while the god of chaos enjoyed baked goods that were displayed in front of them.

"Discord, what if something happened?" Luna asked.

"What do you mean?" He asked as he swallowed another bite.

"Well I, don't know, but Nova still hasn't showed up, and neither did Tia."

Discord licked his claws and chuckled, "Why so serious Luna?" He said, "What possibly could go wrong? We only made two harmless pranks on them."

Even though Discord words were kind of soothing, Luna still couldn't help but worry a bit, especially once she noticed a certain pony running towards her.

"Void Night?" Luna asked, "What happened, why are you in such a hurry?" She asked.

"Princess," Void quickly said, "Supernova is in trouble."

Luna's ears perked up upon hearing her coltfriend's name and word "trouble" in the same sentence. "What happened?" She asked nervously.

"Well, Princess Celestia ate a certain muffin that she at first thought was a prank from her husband, but then it turned out that it was actually Supernova, who possibly tried to poison her."

Luna and Discord looked at each other, "This is ridiculous, where did my sister get that idea from?!"

"I have no idea, your majesty." Void answered.

"Where are they?" Luna asked, her muzzle slowly becoming pale.

"In the dungeon, apparently Princess Celestia has some kind of punishment for him."

Without second thoughts Luna dashed towards the doors to the hallway, Discord, who now was equally nervous about the situation, followed her and quickly caught up.

"We must hurry." She said as she ran.

Discord flew by her side, "Couldn't we just use teleportation spell?"

"Dungeon is created in such a way that unicorns can't get there with teleportation, it's a safety device."

"Sure, unicorn or for that matter, an alicorn can't, but what about a god of chaos?" He asked as he pointed towards himself with his thumb.

Luna stopped and looked at him with an angry scowl.

Discord gulped and nodded, he put his claw on her arm and they both disappeared.

"So how do you like Princess Celestia's private library?" Moonlily asked.

"I'm not really into reading, but this sure looks amazing." Star said as he looked at the biggest number of books he ever saw in his life.

"I'm usually cleaning Princess Luna's chambers, but I get to clean this place from time to time as well." She said, "Well then, since we are already here we can go to the gardens, and from there to the special guest room."

"Special guest room?"

"It's on top of a tower, but it's special because that's the room which Princess Twilight Sparkle used to live in when she visited Canterlot."

Star whistled in awe as Moonlily showed the way, they soon got to the gardens, a place where Star loved to be on duty.

"This is really something." He said, "All of these flowers, trees, it's so quiet here you can hear the wind blasting through the leaves."

Moonlily stopped for a second to admire the scenery, he was right, royal gardens, especially at night had outstanding atmosphere.

They both sat on their haunches next to each other, as their eyes looked into the sky, where a full moon awaited them, with stars twinkling all around him.

"So beautiful."

"I know right? Princess Luna does amazing job with—"

"I didn't mean the sky."

Moonlily looked down and noticed that Star wasn't looking up any longer, he was looking at her, once she realized that her cheeks reddened, "Thanks." was the only thing that she could think of, as his sudden compliment caught her off guard.

They stared at each other with smiles on their muzzles, as night watched over them with nopony else to disturb their peace.

After few moments of total bliss Star finally came to his senses, his cheeks turned crimson as he suddenly realized what he just said.

He was embarrassed, but also happy.

"Well then, what about that special guest room?" Star asked.

"Oh right," Moonlily scratched the back of her head, "it's not far from here."

They stood up and walked forward, Star followed Moonlily, this little moment might have only lasted for a couple of minutes, but for him it left like hours.

What he didn't realize, was that the mare in front of him felt the same time paradox, smiling as she walked towards the famous guest room.

After few more minutes they finally got there, atop of a tower, in front of doors to Twilight Sparkle's old guest room.

"Well then," she said as she slowly opened the door and peeked inside before she let him in, "are you ready to witness the—"

She suddenly stopped, her cheeks once again burned with embarrassment as she quickly retreated and shut the door.

Star looked at her in confusion, "What happened?"

"N-Nothing, after a longer thought there's nothing cool to see here."

"But you said this was—"

"I was wrong! It's a very boring room to visit!" She quickly responded.

"Well , okay then." He said and Moonlily quickly trotted down the stairs towards the bottom of the tower.

"Did you hear that?" Adamant asked as he raised his head.

"Heard what?" Twinkle asked.

"Somepony just opened and closed the door."

"Oh please, as if somepony would come all the way to the top of this tower when there's Gala going on in the main building." She said.

"Well maybe you're right."

"Of course I am, now come here, we are nowhere near done"

Adamant smiled, "You're damn right about that."

"Don't you guys feel that this party is sort of...." Rainbow couldn't find a proper word to finish her sentence.

"Boring?" Pinkie said.

"Exactly."

"Well what did ya except Rainbow?" Applejack asked, "It's the same every year.

Fluttershy took a sip of her tea, "I think it's really nice." She said.

"Well it's nice, just, boring." Rainbow said as her head fell to the table with a loud thud, "How did we make it through all these previous Galas?"

"Well there always was some kind of disaster near the end, but Ah don't see anything happening now." Applejack said with a smirk.

Rainbow Dash looked around at her five friends, all standing near the same table, until her stare stopped at Pinkie Pie, suddenly Rainbow came up with a great idea. "Disaster huh?" She said to herself.

"Hey waiter, can I have a cup of a really strong coffee?" She shouted to a closest waiter pony who nodded in response.

She caught the attention of her five friends as they all stared at her with confusion, once the waiter came back the her order, she smiled and took the cup with her hoof.

She trotted towards one of her friends, and as she did other four mares quickly realized what was she doing. Their muzzles went pale, their eyes were full of fear as Rainbow walked up to Pinkie Pie and said, "How about a cup of coffee?"

Luna and Discord appeared in the dungeons, where after few moments of running around they finally found what they were looking for.

Celestia stood with angry scowl on her muzzle in front of one of the prison cells, as they ran towards her they saw Nova, who sat on his haunches inside.

"Luna!" He shouted, "Please get me out of here!"

Princess of the night quickly ran up to her sister, "What are you doing Celestia?!" She shouted, "Why would you imprison him?!"

"Why dear sister? You ask me, why?" Celestia said, "Because this little rat tried to poison me, thankfully I only ate part of what he prepared, which resulted in me losing my taste, hopefully temporarily."

Luna and Discord couldn't believe their own ears and eyes, as the most stupid scenario was becoming reality in front of them.

God of chaos decided to not take this any further, he walked over to his wife and said, "Darling, listen, this wasn't his muffin it was I who prepared it, it also wasn't poisoned it was only a small joke." He said.

Celestia cocked her eyebrow, "A joke?"

Discord nodded.

"Don't try to cover up for him," Celestia said, "I already prepared propper punishment, he will regret ever being born."

"Mercy!" Nova shouted.

"Tia! Stop this madness, it was just a stupid joke made by Discord, why are you... laughing?"

Celestia couldn't help it, she let out few chuckles that turned into regular laughter, Nova soon followed as he casually left his imprisonment by simply opening the doors to his cell.

"W-What, how, what is happening?" Luna asked as she and Discord became utterly confused.

"What, you don't realize it yet?" Nova said, "The two of us decided to get back at you for your pranking."

"And we did, you should have seen a look on your faces." Celestia said.

Nova raised his hoof towards Princess of the Sun, who hoof bumped him with a smile.

"That was all just a joke?" Luna asked slightly angered.

"Indeed." Nova said.

"But, but I was so worried, you really couldn't come up with anything better?!"

"Well that was the best that we could think of, still it worked well." He said trying hold his laughter.

Luna made few deep breaths and calmed herself down, with a tint of red on her cheeks she said, "Fine, I guess that makes us even."

Nova and Celestia nodded, Discord was about to say something as one of the guards that were on duty tonight ran towards the four.

"Princess ! We have a problem!"

"What is it?" Celestia asked.

"T-The main room of Gala, its, its...."

Discord teleported all five ponies back to the Gala, only to find it utterly devastated. "Holy Faust," Nova said, "what could possibly be the cause of such destruction?"

In one of the corners Pinkie Pie snored loudly, as she had to take a quick nap after she used up all of her energy in these few minutes, in other corner Rainbow was rolling around laughting, while her friends, except for Applejack who was barely holding her laughter, were scolding her.

Suddenly Octavia and Vinyl appeared on the scene, their jaws fell to their hoofs, but the DJ mare quickly composed herself and with a smile on her muzzle she said, "Damn Tavi, these parties of your might not be so boring after all."
