“Just give up already.” Vinyl mumbled, her mouth having troubles with speaking more complicated lines, “Like hell you can, you can—“ she stopped and put a hoof to her mouth, stopping herself from showing Void what she had for breakfast.

“As if, you are barely holding up, so what one more drink?” Void asked with a smug smirk on his muzzle, he tried to look as if all the alcohol they consumed had no effect on him, but that was just a bluff.

Vinyl shook her head and pounded their table with a heavy hoof, “If I’m going down, we’re both going down.” She waved her arm at the nearest waitress, who quickly answered their calling.

“How can I help you miss?”

“One more shot of Tequila, for me and my friend.” She said and cursed under horse nose as suddenly she started to suffer from a series of hiccups, visibly struggling to stop herself from barfing each time.

Void on the other hoof couldn’t stop laughing at the scene.

“Excuse me miss, but I think you both had enough?”

“What—“ Vinyl withstood another hiccup and took a deep breath—“what are you talking about?” She continued.

“Maybe she’s right you know,” Void butted in, clearly feeling his limit was breached. “let’s call it a night for now.”

Vinyl opened her mouth to protest, but with another hiccup and another close call she decided to agree with the bat pony, at least for now.

Void paid for their drinks, and without further ado they left their meeting place and journeyed forward into the city of Canterlot.

Maybe forward isn’t a right word, they swayed from left to right into the city of Canterlot.

“Hey Void, don’t you think the moon is beautiful today?” Vinyl asked, her brain cells slowly but steadily refusing to work under the pressure of tequila and vodka.

“It’s always beautiful, this doing of our great Princess,” He stopped and threw his arm into the air, trying to look more dramatic. “Princess Luna.”

“Moonlight is also nice.”

“That’s also doing of our great Princess Luna.”

Vinyl scratched her head. “Isn’t moonlight just a sunlight reflecting from the moon?”

Void stopped in his tracks and with an angry scowl he turned towards Vinyl, “Shut up.” Was all his brain could come up with in this state.

“So, am I going to the dungeon or…?” Nova asked and gently run his hoof over his neck, ensuring himself that his head is still there.

“Quite honestly I have no idea.” Luna answered. “She just left the room all of the sudden.”

Supernova nodded and looked over to his marefriend. After Luna tried to convince her sister to accept their relationship, Nova saw everything in new light.

To say that he was stunned by her speech is an understatement, up till now he didn’t understand why would somepony like her agree to go out, more than once that is, with somepony like him, now everything was different.

Luna needed him and he needed her, that is without a doubt, after her speech one more thing was certain for the night guard, this wasn’t a crush or a simple attraction, he had his doubts but not they were all gone.

He loved her with all of his heart, and he knew that there will be no other mare he will share such feelings with. If Adamant was there right now he would probably tell Nova that he’s doomed, but Nova wouldn’t care, he found his Princess.

And she’s not in another castle.

“Hello? Equestria to Supernova?” Luna said and waved her hoof in front of her coltfriend.

“W-What? Oh I’m sorry I dozed off a little bit.” He said.

Luna chuckled and removed a small bunch of her mane from her face, “I’m sorry Nova, but this whole argument with my sister tired me out, can we—“

“Continue our date another time? Of course.” He said with a smile and looked around, “So, since Princess Celestia busted us anyway, how about catching some Z’s together?” He said with a wink.

Luna blushed for a moment, surprised with a sudden suggestion, but very soon her lips changed into lecherous smile, she turned around and walked up to the doors leading into hallways of the castle.

She turned her head back to confused Nova and with half-lidded eyes she said. “My bedroom, ten minutes.”

Nova stood there for Faust knows how long after his marefriend left the room, completely dumbfounded by Luna’s unexpected boldness.

“I sometimes can’t believe my luck.”

Void and Vinyl lied down somewhere in the park on the cold grass, for a long time neither said anything, they enjoyed a bit of silence while watching the stars on the clear sky.

“Hey,” White mare decided to finally break the silence, “I had a lot of fun today.”

“Did ya?” Void replied. “We kind of spent whole date on drinking and cursing each other.” He chuckled.

Vinyl gave few laughs. “Yeah, but you know, that’s something new to me, aside from the alcohol.” Vinyl turned on the grass towards Void, “Usually right now I would be banging with my date in his house, and here we are watching stars, laying on the cold ground, this is the most romantic thing I ever did with somepony.”

“I didn’t think you like romantic stuff.” He replied, his eyes still glued to the sky, oblivious to the stare pointed at him.

“That might not be my favorite thing but hey, every mare once in a while wants to be treated like a princess.” She laughed. “Wow, that was so lame, I’ll blame it on alcohol.”

Void finally turned towards Vinyl meeting her gaze, it might have been because of tequila in his veins, but he couldn’t keep his eyes away from hers, “Incredible.” A lone word left his mouth.

“What’s incredible?” She asked.

“Your eyes, they are so beautiful.”

Vinyl felt her cheeks get warmer, as her white coat got painted with crimson. “T-Thanks.” She mumbled.

After that no other word was spoken, they lied down in the grass on the cold ground, only stars watched over them as they slowly closed their eyes and started to get closer and closer.

“Pardon me for interrupting.”

Void and Vinyl snapped out of their trance and jumped into standing positions, startled at the sudden voice.

“Hello?” Octavia asked, standing few meters from pair of ponies. “Vinyl, it’s quite late already, shouldn’t you be going home already?”

White mare with a red color still visible on her muzzle nodded to herself and turned towards Void, “Thanks for everything.” She scratched her head, “You think we could repeat this one day, I mean night?”

Void smiled gently and nodded. “Sure.”

Vinyl smirked and trotted towards Octavia, who quickly run towards her friend before she managed to fall down. “You can’t even walk straight.” She commented.

“Aww shut up.” Vinyl replied.

Void watched two mares walk away until they were no longer visible, he gave another gaze towards the sky and then towards his legs, “Well that was something.” He commented and left the scene, swaying from left to right towards the Canterlot Castle.
