“This is ridiculous! There’s no way I’m doing this!” Void protested.

“Oh come on, it won’t be that bad, besides, I’m sure this bed is much comfier than yours!” Nova replied trying to change his mind.

“No, we are friends but this is where I draw a line, hell no.”

“Mr. Void Night, you are the only pony who can help us with this, please.” Luna pleaded.

Void shook his head. “Sorry your majesty but I won’t do this, not even for you.” He said and threw away the wig he was holding in his hoof this whole time.

A few minutes earlier, an hour before dawn.

Void and Nova stood patiently in the gardens waiting for their duty to end so they can both enjoy some sleep, however for Supernova it meant much more than just sleeping.

It was his time to once again meet his marefriend in the dreamland.

Nova smiled, now he was sure calling Luna his marefriend was correct, after what had happened last night, just remembering this incredible sensation sent a shiver down his spine.

Suddenly his patience started to run away as he started to imagine laying together with Luna on the Snowdrop meadow, or maybe something else, after all they had countless possibilities, their only restriction were the limits of their imagination.

Void noticed sudden change in Nova’s excitement but he didn’t ask for it, he didn’t care.

And so minutes were flowing slowly irritating Nova with their length, but suddenly happened something neither of them expected.

They were visited.

Princess Luna silently walked up to Nova from behind and covered his eyes with her hooves. “Guess who.”

Supernova got startled at first, but soon he comprehended the situation and smiled.

“Captain Riddick?”

Void stifled his laughter while Luna punched Nova on the shoulder.

“Hey just kidding, just kidding.”

“You better be.” She smiled and her angry frown changed once again in blissful smile, she turned her muzzle towards Void. “Good Night Mr. Void, it is good to see you again.”

“Your majesty.” Void replied and bowed.

“You don’t have to be so formal, we are friends.” Luna scratched her head. “We are friends, right?” She asked uncertainly.

“We are Princess, but please allow me to call you with all the formalities.”

Luna looked at Void confused but nodded nevertheless. “Of course, if you must.”

“Thank you your highness.”

“Well then Luna, what are you doing here? You’re not afraid that Princess Celestia will see us? Or other night guards?”

“She’s asleep Nova, and what’s wrong with Princess talking to her guards?”

“Maybe there’s nothing wrong with talking, but covering their eyes from behind and then punching them…”

“Relax, I made sure you two are the only guards that have posts in royal gardens tonight.” Luna said with a wink.

“I guess it is safe then.” Nova said with a smile and moved closer.

“It is.” Luna replied and with half closed eyes slowly made few steps towards Nova. “I’m really happy to see that all of your nervousness is gone.”

“Yeah, I think I got used to the fact that I’m dating the Princess of the Night, I still can’t believe it but hey at least I’m not shaking in fear anymore.”

Luna chuckled.

Void coughed in attempt to get their attention, but to no avail.

“Excuse me your highness, but did you come here only to make out with Nova? The dawn should be starting in around 50 minutes.” He said that as loudly as he could without shouting, hoping they will hear him this time.

And although Nova was still absent, Luna snapped back to reality and with a blush on her muzzle she cleared her throat before speaking.

“You’re right, I came here because I have a big request for Mr. Void.”

Upon hearing his own name Night flinched slightly and raised his eyebrow. “For me?”

“Yeah for him?” Nova added.

“Yes, Mr. Void are you aware that last night I came up with a way for me and Nova to meet daily outside of my sister’s eyes?”

“I do not, how if I may ask?”

Luna started to walk forth and back. “It is really simple, we are meeting together in dreamland, realm of dreams or however you wish to call it, this is possible because of my powers.”

“Well that certainly is interesting your highness but…”

“What does it have to do with you?”

Void nodded.

“Tonight I came up with another idea, there is a way for us to make these meetings better, it is simple but it’ll let us feel more “realistic” in our dreams.” She said making quotation marks with her hooves.

“And what is this way?”

Luna stopped walking and kept her stare at the ground as her muzzle started turning red, she kicked the ground with her hoof nervously. “Cuddling.”

“Excuse me your highness? Could you repeat louder?”

Luna sighed. “We have to maintain physical contact during our sleep, or in other words we have to cuddle.”

Void blushed slightly while Nova only grinned.

“Y-Your highness, I still can’t see my role in all of this.”

“The thing is, my sister has been so obsessed recently with finding out who is that stallion that asked me out on the date so.” She scratched her head. “I need to make sure she won’t find out, at least for now.”

Void nodded.

“So, my request for you Mr. Void is this, while I will spend the night with Supernova in your room, you will…”

“I’m really sorry Princess, but putting on a special wig that looks like your hair, painting my fur with this removable paint and sleeping in your bed in order to fool Sun-bu… Princess Celestia is too much.” Void said irritated. “Besides do you really think she’s so stupid she will believe it is you?”

“Calm down Mr. Void, if she will go into my chambers it will be only for a moment, this wig and paint were created using unicorn magic. This wig looks exactly like my mane and it acts the same, the paint on the other hoof is created in such a way to fool her eyes at the first glance. Besides you will be covered under quilts and my room is always dark when I’m sleeping.”

“Even if this is going to work I still say no.”

“Oh come on Void, just for tonight? You will feel like a real princess.” Nova said.

“You little….”

“Nova, you’re not helping.”

“Sorry Luna.”

Void gritted his teeth in irritation, after few moments he took a big breath and sighed. “Fine, I’ll do it, but just for today.”

Luna’s expression shone with excitement. “Oh thank you so much Mr. Void!”

“Yeah yeah, whatever.” He added and picked up the magic wig.

“We have to leave before my sister will wake up, in order to cover yourself with the pain simply say “Painting.” out loud, to undo this say “Unpainting.”.”

“Unpainting? How original. Well then you two better get out of here before I change my mind.”

Luna nodded and with one more thank you she left the room, Nova quickly followed her leaving Void alone with his shame.

“Luna?” Supernova asked as they were walking quickly through the hallways towards his room.

“What is it?”

“Couldn’t you just place illusion of yourself sleeping in the bed?”

“I told you already, Celestia knows my magic too well she would see through it.”

“Okay, but I’m sure you had somepony who would suit this role better, like some mare you trust?”

“You’re right.”

“Then why Void?”

Luna stopped suddenly, she stared forward for a few moments before bursting out in laughter. “Well don’t you think it is hilarious?”

Nova confused at first quickly changed his dumb stare into gaze full of awe. “Marry me.”

Luna chuckled. "Maybe later, come now, we don't have much time left before dawn."
