Nova and Luna were lying peacefully on their flower bed in center of the Snowdrop meadow.

Their feelings were becoming a huge mess, they both felt joy and happiness, excitement flavored with a bit of nervousness.

They were so close to each other that they could even feel each other’s heart rhythm, which in both cases was beating faster and faster.

“Supernova?” Luna asked quietly and nuzzled her coltfriend gently.

“What is it?” He responded with the same gentle tone.

“I can’t even express how good I feel right now, but we have to wake up, night is coming.”

At this statement his eyes opened wide and his expression distorted into sadness and disappointment. “No kidding, already?”

“Yes, sadly time in dreamland flows differently than in our world.”

“How can you tell it’s night already?”

Luna raised her head from his chest and laid it down on the earth in front of his muzzle. “Magic.”

“Oh, right…” Nova said and sighed in defeat. “I would prefer to stay here with you, but if we have to…”

“Oh don’t be like that, we can meet in dreams again tomorrow.” She said with a cheerful smile on her muzzle.

She looks so adorable when she smiles”Then I’ll have something to look forward to on my duty.” Nova replied with a cocky grin on his muzzle.

They closed their eyes and laid in silence for few more minutes, Luna was about to stop the dream with her magic sending both her and Nova back into real world, but was stopped by said stallion.

“Luna, before we go can I ask you something?”

“Of course.”

“Would you like to go on a another date with me? In real world.” He said while awkwardly looking around trying to avoid her gaze. “I mean there’s nothing wrong with meeting here, it’s awesome, but I still would like to see you, well, in person.”

Luna grinned and held his muzzle with her hoof, making him look right in her eyes. “When would that be?”

“Well my nearest night off is two weeks from now so…”

“That’s way too long, how about this Friday.”

Nova raised his eyebrow. “Pardon me?”

“Who’s your captain Nova?”

Nova’s expression fell and he cleared his throat. “C-Captain Riddick.”

Surprisingly, instead of gasping with terror, Luna smiled with joy. “That’s perfect!”

“How is that perfect?”

“From all of my guards, he’s the one with the most loyalty towards me, if he’s your superior then you can rest assured, I’ll make sure you’ll have a free night this Friday and my sister shall never know about it.”

I think I’m in love.”Amazing.”

“There are some pros to courting a Princess, my dear Supernova.” She whispered last three words and closed her eyes, this time Nova knew very well what to do.

He closed his eyes and leaned in closer, he didn’t have to wait long before their lips met, once again throwing them into a sea of passion.

This was their second kiss, and it was even more powerful than the first one, time seemed to completely stop around them, even wind stopped whistling and petals stopped flying becoming frozen in midair.

They stayed like that till they used up all of their oxygen, their kiss finally broke and time started to flow again as they both gasped for air in ecstasy.

Maybe I wasn’t with many mares in my life, but I never felt something like this after a simple kiss on the lips. Nova commented in his thoughts and felt the reality around him disappear into black void, after few moments he opened his eyes and saw the rooftop of his room.

“Hey look, the sleeping princess woke up.”

Were the first words Nova heard after returning from the best dream he ever had. They were spoken by nopony else but his friend Void, who already was in his armor and ready to go.

“You better hurry or you’ll be late, Riddick doesn’t like us being late.”

“I guess you’re right.” Nova answered, he still had that wedding ceremony before his eyes, he could still see Void in a tuxedo standing before a white mare.

A mare he recognized from somewhere.

“Hey Void?”

“What?” He asked stopping right in front of the doors.

“What do you think about marriage?”

It took Void a few moments to make sure he heard his friend right. “Where did that come from? I mean that’s rather weird question.”

“Is it?”

Void sighed. “If you ask me, I think I would like to get married in the future, like in very far away future. What about you?”

“Huh?”

“What do you think about marriage?”

Void’s sudden question made cogs inside Nova’s head work. That’s right marriage, if this will continue then one day, I will get married with Luna? Nova had been on two dates with Princess of the Night, he cuddled with her, he kissed her, but a vision of him and Luna at the altar seemed too far and too unrealistic for him.

“Hello? Equestria to Nova? Oh forget it.” Void commented and left the room without saying anything else, leaving Nova with thoughts.

What’s up with him? Asking about marriage out of the blue. Void walked through great hallways of Canterlot Castle on his usual route to Captain’s Riddick’s office.

Soon enough he stopped bothering himself over his friend’s weird question, after few moments he made it to his destination and knocked few times on the doors.

“Get in.”

Void cleared his throat, and opened the doors.

“Void Night, I’m glad you’re on time, this time.”

“Yes Sir!”

“Today you’re going to work with Guard Supernova, your post for tonight will be the Royal Gardens. By the way where is he?”

“If you mean Guard Supernova, then he is still in his room, Sir.”

Riddick mumbled something under his muzzle and gritted his teeth, which was enough to send a shiver of fear through Void’s body.

“Go tell him that I want to see him, right now.”

“Yes Sir!”

Void didn’t waste any second and ran madly towards his and Nova’s room, it didn’t take him long to get there.

He opened the doors and saw Nova putting on last fragments of his armor. “Yo Nova dude?”

“Yeah?”

“If you die can I have your money?”

“What?”

“Riddick wants to speak with you, he doesn’t seem happy.”

Supernova’s muzzle became completely pale. “Oh, t-that’s great, then I’ll b-better get going.”

“Good luck.” Void said and saluted as Nova made his way to where he believed his execution would take place.

His walk felt like hours, while it only took him around two minutes to get to his captain’s office, as he didn’t want to be even more late than he already is.

He knocked on the doors meekly, and waited.

“Get in.”

Nova gulped and slowly opened the doors to the room, he entered and closed them, before finally turning towards his captain.

Who looked back at him with stoic expression.

“Supernova.”

“Y-Y-Yes sir?”

“I talked with Princess Luna.”

“You did?”

“Yes, she told me about you two, and cause of her order I’m granting you a free night on Friday.”

Nova sighed with relief as he felt a huge stone being lifted from his heart. When did she talk with him? Didn’t we wake up at the same time? Oh who cares, I’m alive!

“However Supernova.”

“Y-Yes Sir?”

Riddick stood up from his chair and agonizingly slowly moved closer and closer to Nova, until his furious muzzle was only inches from the scared colt.

“If you will dare to break our Princess’s heart, or even leave a small scratch on it, then mark my words, I’ll make you pay for each one of her tears with your own blood.”

Nova lowered himself feeling that he was about to faint.

“And if she will stop herself from crying, then I’ll just rip off each of your limbs and beat you with them until you won’t be able to scream for help anymore.”

“Yes Sir.” Nova replied in voice so high and quiet it was barely hearable.

“Good, then get the hell out of here, and get to your post! You’re guarding Royal Gardens with Guard Void Night.”

Nova only nodded and slowly left the room, he closed the doors to his captain office and sighed with relief.

“How was it?”

Supernova turned around and saw Void standing in front of him with something unusual for him, a concern written all over his muzzle.

“Good, I guess, but you’ll have to guard Gardens alone for few minutes I need to take a quick shower.”

“Why is that?”

“I think I peed a little.”
