Supernova didn’t waste his time and so as soon as his shift ended he ran to his room, took the armor off and jumped into bed.

Void wasn’t even here yet and Nova was already slowly drifting into the lands of dreams, his excitement wasn’t making it easy for him but it couldn’t be helped, after all he’s going on his next date with his marefriend.

Suddenly his eyes snapped open and he lifted himself into a sitting position Wait a moment, she is my marefriend, right? I mean we’ve only been on one date, but she had kissed me on the cheek, and we nuzzled and…

“I didn’t think you’d be here already.”

Nova turned his head towards Void who just entered the room and stopped his train of thoughts “Yeah, hey dude can you help me out?”

“Depends, what is it?”

“From which base on can you say that the mare you’re meeting is your marefriend?”

Void scratched his chin “Well what base are you on?”

“Does kiss on a cheek count as first base?”

“Maybe in kindergarten.”

Nova sighed “I guess you’re right, so we aren’t even an item yet.”

“You mean you and Princess Luna?”

The only response he got from Nova was a slow and sad nod.

“Look dude.” Void started with reluctance “I have no idea what is going on between you two, but I have to say that since that date on Saturday, I don’t know how to put this.” He scratched his chin once more. “Lets say that you seem much happier than before, when we had shifts together you were only talking about the Princess and how gorgeous she is, how mesmerizing her eyes are and so on.”

“What’s your point?” Nova asked and raised his eyebrow.

“My point is, maybe you’re not an item yet, maybe you haven’t kissed her yet, but if she feels about you like you feel about her, that’s just a matter of time.”

Nova pondered on his words for few moments and smiled widely “Thanks Void, maybe you are an asshole, but an asshole that helps his friends in need.”

“I’ll take the compliment, thanks.” Void said and without any more words he started to take his own armor off.

On the other hoof Nova with renewed confidence laid his head on the pillow and closed his eyes, soon he felt his consciousness fading and after few more seconds he was finally on his way to the dreamland.

Luna entered her chambers walking with her usual royal grace, she closed the doors behind her and lowered the curtains to block the sunlight.

She laid down on her bed and slowly let her consciousness travel to the land of dreams, where she was the one to dictate the rules.

After few moments of drifting through the dreamspace, and with a little help of magic, she stopped at the grand hallway which looked like it belongs to some kind of grand castle.

If it would be any other day, then Luna would just walk from one door to another and try to look for any nightmares that her subjects would need help with, but today was different.

She had a specific pair of doors to look for, it didn’t took her long to find them and so soon enough she stood before the doors to Supernova’s dream.

She smiled unknowingly and entered.

She passed the boundaries of his sleep and stopped a bit surprised at the sight, it took her few moments to comprehend the situation but soon she smiled and flew forward.

“I missed you so much Nova.” Luna said in seductive tone as she was moving closer to the said stallion.

Supernova smiled “So did I, Luna.” He replied “Now my dear Princess, what should we do?”

“How about we use our lips and tongues for something else thank talking?” She asked with a seductive wink.

“You read my mind.” Nova said and started to lean forward, his imaginary Luna closed his eyes and he was about to do the same until he suddenly heard another voice coming from behind.

“Oh my, so you’re cheating on me, with me?”

Nova’s eyes snapped open as he quickly turned around until his gaze stopped on the smirking Princess Luna, the real one that is.

“L-L-Luna?! I told you to knock before you enter!”

Princess of the Night chuckled loudly “Don’t be silly Nova, it’s just your dream, you can do whatever you want in here, however I must say I am flattered.” She said and stared at her copy with proud smile I knew I didn’t need any diet

“So umm, what now?” Nova asked.

“Now we go, spread your wings and follow me.” She said and took off, at the same time her horn started to glow with magic which started to wrap itself around Nova.

Said stallion stood there for few seconds in confusion before shrugging and jumping into the air after Luna.

Soon they appeared at the doors through which Princess got in his dream, thanks to her magic, Nova was able to follow her even through the doorstep.

“Ta da! Welcome to the Hallway of Dreams.”

“Wow.” Was the only thing that came to Nova’s mind as he stared in awe.

He stood in what seemed to be an endless hallways with thousands upon thousands of doors, each of them had different color and design but they had something in common.

Above each of them was a small gem, however some of them shone with green light and some with blue.

“Luna what are…”

“Those gems?”

Nova nodded.

“They are what I call dream shards, their color describes the state of the dream.”

Luna walked to the first door on the right “If the gem shines with green light like this one, it means that the dream is calm and safe, the blue ones on the other hoof.”

Luna said and motioned with her leg towards the door with blue gem. “Blue ones mean that the pony isn’t sleeping right now, and thus what’s behind these doors is just projection of his last dream.”

Nova nodded, he didn’t expect this to be so interesting. “Are there any other kinds of light?”

Luna frowned. “There’s a red light, it means that the pony is going through nightmare, however if it’s a red one then I’m not supposed to interfere, I am supposed to help with black gems, which indicates the nightmare born from extreme fear.”

Nova felt shivers going down his spine. “Dreams made out of fear huh? What else…”

“Can they be made of?”

“You’re starting to creep me out a little bit.”

Luna chuckled. “Dreams are usually a pure creation of imagination, but can also be made from memories, both happy and sad, joyful and scary.”

“All right, is there anything else I need to know?”

“Not really.”

Nova smiled. “All right! Then lets go!” He said and turned around, he stared into endless hallway for few seconds before frowning “Lets go, where exactly?”

Princess chuckled once more, much to Supernova’s amuse “I figured we can just walk from one dream to another, maybe we will see something funny, honestly there’s nothing else to do here, however.”

Luna moved closer to Nova and smiled “I’m happy we can talk at least once more, without hiding behind Discords illusions.”

Nova returned the smile and he moved closer as well “So am I.”

They stood there only few inches apart and stared firmly into each other’s eyes, at that moment an idea popped into Nova’s head.

Is this the moment? Should I go for a kiss? He felt the nervousness coming back to him, however he had gotten used to it already.

His question was answered by Luna, who smiled and moved away a bit “Shall we go then?”

Nova felt a bit disappointed but nodded nevertheless.

They walked together, side by side through the endless hallway, they passed by dozens of doors by now and at that point Nova figured out another question “Luna?”

“Yes?”

“If we just go into somepony’s dream, aren’t we violating their privacy?”

Luna smiled mischievously “We totally are.”

Nova’s expression showed nothing but astonishment as he would never expect a Princess to be okay with something like that.

“Is something wrong?” Luna asked concerned that she just ruined their date.

“No, I think I’m falling head over hoofs for you.” Nova replied without even thinking.

Luna felt her cheeks redden and she smiled sheepishly “T-Thank you.”

After her answer it was Nova’s turn to blush as he just realized what he said “No problem.”

They stood there for few moments in awkward silence, not even looking at each other.

Supernova couldn’t stand this any longer and looked around to find some kind of solution, some kind of way out from this situation, and he found it.

He saw a pink door, with a lot of balloons on them, the gem above it shone with blue light.

“Oh look! These doors look interesting.” He said and ran forward before Luna could even react.

“Which doors…Wait Nova! Don’t go in there, that’s…” But she was too late as Nova already peeked inside, only to withdraw his head a few seconds later, with nothing but horror written all over his muzzle.

“Nova you okay?” Luna asked as she moved closer to the stallion.

“I’ve seen some shit in my life, but this, what the hell was that?!” Nova shouted.

“Whose dream was that?! I don’t think I’ll never be able to eat cupcakes again, oh my goodness that poor mare with rainbow mane.”

“Yeah, I was supposed to talk with Pinkie about that dream…”

“Pinkie? Who’s Pinkie?” Nova asked curious.

“Oh you probably don’t know her personally, rather as an element of harmony, to be precise element of laughter.”

Nova felt his face muscles twitch “Laughter? An element of laughter?! More like a freaking element of horror!”

Luna moved closer and embraced Nova in a hug, while nuzzling him at the same time “Calm down, that’s only a dream, some of us dream about Princesses, other about…. Cupcakes.”

Supernova returned the hug and they stood there for few moments in silence, before it was broken by Luna.

“Hey Nova?”

“Yes?”

“Would you like to go and see my sister’s dream?”

“Heck yes.”
