Void stood completely frozen and stared with confusion and a little bit of fear.

If Vinyl’s goal was to catch him off-guard, then she succeed. Time completely stopped for poor stallion whose brain was trying to think about any solution, but to no avail.

The atmosphere in the room was so dense that you could cut it with a knife, and they stood right in the middle of this awkward silence.

“So…” Vinyl said and dropped her gaze on the stone floor.

It took Void few moments to notice that she spoke “So… how are you doing?” He asked and mentally facehoofed himself.

“I’m doing good, I think.”

“Ohh well, that’s great.”

And so the silence fell upon them once again, Void searched his brain through and through but he couldn’t think of anything.

“Look Void, we have to talk about what happened back then.”

He sighed and nodded “Yeah, we do.”

“So?”

Void cocked an eyebrow “What?”

“Well I hoped that maybe you would tell me why did you ran away after that night, if you wanted to blow me off then you could have at least do it a bit smoother. I mean we are friends for how many years?”

Void lowered his gaze as he couldn’t stand the piercing daggers that came from Vinyl’s eyes, which tonight weren’t hidden behind her shades. “I’m sorry it turned out like this, I didn’t want to blow you off I…”

“Then what?” Vinyl shouted infuriated “If you didn’t then why the fuck would you go to bed with me and then just ran away in the morning?!”

“I was scared!” Void shouted back surprising her. “Look, I’m sorry but it truly wasn’t my fault, back in the club there was a pink mare, a bartender who gave me a free cupcake, which I realized way later, was drugged.”

Vinyl cocked her eyebrow confused “Let me get this straight, she gave you drugs, in a free cupcake?”

“Yes exactly, I realized it was drugged yesterday when I finally put two and two together.”

“So, this night in the club, then what we did at my place, you..”

“I don’t remember any of it, last thing I remember is Nova running away from an army of Princesses, I guess it was another effect of this stuff she gave me.”

Vinyl stared at him in utter confusion, her shocked expression slowly started to change into a sad and disappointed frown. “I see, I’m sorry I reacted like this.”

“Don’t be sorry, I deserved it.”

“No you didn’t.” She said once again locking her gaze with his own “You had no idea what was going on, I see ponies on drugs on daily basis because of my job and yet I didn’t realize that you were one of them.” Vinyl finished and lowered her head once again, a small tear started to escape her eye.

“Is it really so bad that it’s worth wasting your tears?” Void asked concerned.

“Maybe not, I thought I was used to it, one-night stands, every stallion I met always wanted one thing from me, I enjoyed it at first but recently I started having doubts you know.”

Void nodded.

“When Tavi got married I was so happy for her, but I also got a bit jealous, but I never was good in these “stable” relationships you know, the only stable relationship I had with a male is you, as my friend.”

“You must be joking, putting romantic relationships aside you must have other male friends?”

“There are a few that I hang out with from time to time, but I know what’s on their mind, on the other hoof you are different, whenever we talked about something you were thinking about our conversation, and not about what would you do with me in bed like they did.”

“So when you started to hit on me in the club, I was confused and surprised at first but, I thought that maybe this is a sign, that maybe this could become something…”

Vinyl bit her bottom lip trying to stop her tears “And then I just straight up blew it and took advantage of you, maybe it was unintentional but what kind of relationship starts from jumping into bed?”

Void raised his hoof thinking that maybe he should hug her, or at least tap her on the shoulder but he stopped mid-air, there were times in his life when he didn’t know what to do, that time when Star’s sister started to hit on him, or when he met captain Riddick for the first time.

None of these could even compare to what was going on right now.

Void felt his heart rip into pieces upon seeing one of his closest friends tearing up because of him.

For these next few moments his brain completely stopped working, without thinking about his words Void opened his mouth, and said.

“Vinyl.”

Said mare raised her head and looked at him with watering eyes.

“Are you doing something on next Friday night?”

Supernova finally made it to the turning point, he stopped looked around pretending to search for any kind of problem and then made a quick turn which resulted into a crash.

“Ouch that hurt, I’m sorry.” Nova said rubbing his forehead, he picked himself up and offered his hoof to the mare who still laid on the floor.

Said mare was one of the maids. “Oh no problem, it happens.” She said and accepted his help.

“I’m still sorry though, I should pay more attention to my surroundings in the future, well then it was nice meeting you and see you later.” He said and started to walk away only to be stopped by her crossing his way.

“Leaving already? You didn’t even give me your name.” She said with half opened eyes, which he had to admit, looked amazing.

“I’m Supernova.”

“Supernova? That’s a really nice name, mine’s Moonlily.” She said as she batted her eyelashes seductively.

“Well then *cough* it was nice meeting you miss Moonlily but I have my duties and so…”

“Since you have such a nice name, maybe you would like me to blow your mind?” She asked and moved herself closer to him.

“What?” Nova asked confused.

“There’s a nice empty room here, maybe we could go there and, have a little fun?”

Supernova gulped and stared at her for few moments, before shaking his head “I’m sorry miss but like I said I have duties to do, and sorry to disappoint you but my eyes are set on somepony else.”

Moonlily backed away and changed her seductive expression into warm smile “That’s very nice to hear.”

Nova blinked a few times “I think I know this voice.”

“Oh do you?” Luna asked and chuckled while Supernova put two and two together and frowned.

“Ha ha, that was very funny, how dare you toy with a stallion feelings like that?” He said and turned his head away.

“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help myself since the situation was so perfect.”

Nova turned his gaze back and smiled widely, he moved closer and embraced her in a warm hug, surpring and startling her at first, but she quickly returned the favor and hugged him back. “I really wanted to see you.” He whispered into her ear.

“Me too believe me, but my sister was watching me very closely these past few nights, either by herself or her guards. Right now she thinks I’m still in my chambers which she observes.”

Nova stopped the hug and looked into eyes of the pony she changed into, maybe these eyes were beautiful, but Luna’s eyes were surely more mesmerizing. “That’s not good, how are we supposed to go on another date then, that is if you want to.”

“Of course I do.” Luna chuckled.

“Oh good, I’m a bit glad you showed up like this, I don’t think my brain would let me feel so relaxed with alicorn Luna.”

“You’ll have to get used to it.”

“I know, I know, so what do we do about your sister?”

Luna pondered about his question for a few moments “I guess we could either tell her the truth, which I don’t think she’s ready for.”

“Or?”

Luna smiled mischievously.

“Have you ever been on a date in a dreamland?”
