As the party began to draw into the later hours of the night, Midnight had taken it upon himself to stop drinking and move forward with his plans to talk to Blizzard Wind, the pegasus captain of the guard, in a more private area. Well, as private as you could get in a mess hall filled with semi drunken stallions, all of which were partying pretty hard.

"Blizzard, a word if you please?" Midnight spoke up to the stallion as he trotted toward one of the more vacant areas of the mess hall. Blizzard giving him a questioning look as he followed the dark Alicorn.

Once they had found a spot to sit and talk without fear of anypony eavesdropping, Midnight began.

"Blizzard, I've been told that you've gone to Appleloosa on several occasions to meet a certain somepony. Somepony named Venus?" Midnight smirked seeing Blizzards face erupt into a bright red before he turned his head to the side slightly to clear his throat.

"Um...... aaaaah, I don't know what you're talking about sir." He sputtered slightly as his eyes darted around the room. Finally landing onto the pony in question as 'she' was sitting at a table, talking to Shining Armor.

"No need to hide it my friend. I am perfectly ok with your decision on that type of relationship." Midnight chuckled only to see Blizzard lower his head slightly.

"Sir, I don't want to seem like a bad pony for stating this, but I don't care what anypony thinks about my preference when it comes to who I want to be with." He stated as his eyes met Midnight's in a piercing gaze.

"I'm happy to hear that, it isn't often that a pony will stand up to others when it comes to that topic. You make me proud to call you one of the captains of the royal guard." Midnight smiled to him only to receive a slightly disheartened smile in return. "Now then, I was told that you had requested that this particular pony be brought to the party, but never divulged why. Care to explain?"

Blizzard gave a long sigh as he closed his eyes, opening them as he looked over to Venus across the room, still sitting idly talking to Shining Armor. He smiled seeing 'her' laugh.

"Sir, I was hoping to let that stallion know about my feelings for him, but every time I get near him, I.......... I get weak in the knees. It's like........... I don't know."

"Like your heart is a flutter, your stomach filled with butterfly's, and your on cloud 9?" Midnight finished for him only to cause him to lower his head and nod slightly, his face burning red.

"I couldn't have said it better myself." He chuckled softly as he looked up to Venus again only to see 'her' smiling toward him, and walking over to the table they were sitting at. Blizzard's eyes shot open as they began to dart back and forth around the room, attempting to find a way out of this moment in time. He knew that he felt he wasn't ready for this, not here, not now. He began to get up but felt his hooves glued to the floor. He tried pulling them up but they wouldn't budge. After looking to them he noticed a small field of magic holding them to the floor, then looked to Midnight whoes horn was glowing the same color. He gave a glare toward Midnight as he spoke two words before sitting back down.

"You....... suck!"

Midnight gave a chuckle for a moment but stopped as Venus arrived at the table, taking a seat next to Blizzard.

"Fancy meeting you here sugar." 'she' said, giving him a heart warming smile. "I'm beginning to think you're setting up these little meetings just to see me." She giggled causing Blizzard to give a goofy smile.

"Venus, I'm sure that you've already met one of my Captains of the guard. Blizzard Wind. I also think he was wanting to speak with you about something as well." Midnight stated causing Blizzard to give a nervous gulp. "I'll just let you two talk." He chuckled as he gave a wink to Venus before leaving the table to go and speak with Shining Armor across the room.

As Midnight made his way across the room, he took a seat next to the white unicorn so that he could watch across the way to see how the conversation was going between the two ponies he had just left.

"How are we doing brother?" Midnight spoke up catching his attention as he sat down next to him.

"I would be doing a little better had you not had Venus give me a lap dance in front of the entire guard." Shining groaned, rolling his eyes.

"Well, then you wouldn't have had the bachelor party experience, and that would make me a saaaaaad pony." Midnight chuckled as he gave his best looking pout. Shining giving a chuckle before giving him a quick jab in his arm.

"You, sad? Perish the thought." He laughed. "But seriously, why have her give me a lap dance instead of taking it for yourself? It is your bachelor party after all."

"Well, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for some revenge, so I had 'her' help me out." Midnight chuckled seeing Shining's eyes go a little wide before turning into a squinting glare.

"Revenge? For what?" he asked in slight shock.

"Remember that time you knocked me out from one of my own spells?" He grinned seeing Shining face hoof.

"Yea, and that merited revenge?" He asked incredulously.

"You knocked out an Alicorn with his own spell in front of a whole gaggle of the guard. That was pretty embarrassing." Midnight groaned.

"Fine, you got your revenge, although I don't see how it was."

"Well, I am guessing you don't know Venus at all, otherwise you wouldn't have gone on stage, much less let her give you a peck on the cheek." Midnight chuckled seeing Shining cock a brow. He leaned down and spoke into Shinings ear giving a chuckle. "Venus is actually a stallion."

Now at this moment, several things occurred. Shining Armor pulled back from Midnight giving him a shocked expression, he then looked over and across the room to see Blizzard and Venus kissing, at which point his jaw dropped to the floor before looking back to Midnight.

"Does Blizzard know?!" He asked only to get a nod in return.

Shining Armor stopped gawking for a moment before his expression turned to anger and then worry as he looked around to all of the stallions in the room. His vision finally falling onto Midnight as he gave a pleading look.

"Don't worry bro, I ain't going to tell anypony. I just thought we could have this little event happen so that you'll remember not to knock me out anytime in the future." Midnight chuckled giving him a wink.

Shining Armor glared at him before laughing loudly. "Has anypony ever told you that you are absolutely devious?"

"Midnight brushed a hoof against his chest giving a smirk. "On more than one occasion actually." He chuckled as he looked sideways toward his brother.

At that moment though, Blizzard and Venus trotted up to the table smiling as 'she' was leaning onto Blizzard.

"I take it the talk went well you two." Midnight smiled to them giving a wink.

"It did, and I would like to request a short leave from duty sir." Blizzard said as he gave a salute.

"How long?"

"Just a few days, I will return to duty for your wedding." He stated giving a smile.

"Granted." Midnight grinned to the two only to cause them both to blush.

"Blizzard............" Shining spoke up catching his attention before looking to Venus for a moment and giving a slight pout. "Is it true?"

Blizzard gave a sheepish grin before nodding. "Yes sir. Please do not think ill of me. I just never really found mare's attractive." He chuckled nervously.

"So all those times I caught you looking at other stallions flanks." He chuckled seeing Venus give Blizzard a playful shove.

"Yeeeeeeeees, let's not get into that please. I just managed to get the stallion of my dreams here and I don't need a fellow captain derailing my relationship before it even gets a chance to get started." Blizzard groaned giving a face hoof in annoyance.

"Go on you two, I'll see you before the wedding starts Blizzard, and do me one favor." Midnight stated as he caught his attention. "Go and have fun. You two make a cute couple." He chuckled causing Venus to wrap 'her' hooves around Blizzards neck before giving him a kiss. Blizzard giving a dopey grin before chuckling.

The two stallions made a slow exit from the party, many of the guard seeing the two all over each other and giving out some loud cat calls. Good thing they weren't the wiser about Venus being a stallion, otherwise the captain would have had his hooves full with his platoon of pegasi.

Back in the dining hall where the girls were having their party, Twilight had been dragged on stage by her mentors magic so that she could get a lap dance from the three stallions currently adorning the stage. Applejack, Rarity, and the princess all hooting and yelling at Twilight as her face turned a bright shade of red.

"I can't believe Midnight don't mind us having this much fun at our party." AJ stated as she chuckled at Twilight who was having a stallion grinding her thigh.

"Darling, our stallion is very understanding, and I doubt that once this party has concluded, he will feel much different. But.......... Considering that he will be royalty, I may be wrong." Rarity stated as she rubbed her chin in thought.

"Either way, this has been one of the most enjoyable nights I have ever had when in regards to it being 'fun'." Celestia stated as one of the stallions came over to her, daring to flick his tail at her nose playfully.

"I think you would have a lot more fun as just a regular pony princess, I've never seen you so carefree while at a party. Much less at a party like this one." Twilight piped up as she leaned forward, giving the stallion that was shaking his flank at her a little nip and making him bolt forward in surprise, only to fall off of the stage and land directly on top of Rarity.

"Oh my, such a naughty boy." Rarity giggled as the stallion gave a nervous grin before dancing over top of her. The other mares in the room hooting loudly and laughing before the stallion moved to the side and helped her up, then jumping back on stage.

"I do believe this night couldn't get any better." Rarity giggled as she took her seat once again.

"Don't be to sure about that." Celestia giggled as she nodded to the stage as Twilight was led off of it, only to be replaced by Luna whom was quickly surrounded by the stallions as they began to dance for her. The four mares of the evening bursting out laughing as they noticed her face bursting out in a deep red beneath her dark blue coat.

"I guess this evening will remain eventful." Rarity giggled loudly as she cheered the stallions on.

The sun began to break the horizon with the help of Celestia's magic. She giving a large yawn from having stayed up all night to party with her new family. Luna was currently eating breakfast with a smile while the others were out cold and laying quietly to the far side of the room on a large pile of pillows. Celestia having already left to her quarters for the morning since raising the sun. It was an eventful night for the night princess, even though the party was not meant for her, she still had fun seeing her sister and future sister-in-laws making total asses out of themselves. Yes, she would have stories to tell once they were awake.

However, Midnight and his friends were not in the same boat. He was currently sprawled out on the floor of the barracks along with about twenty other stallions from the guard who had to much to drink. All asleep from the long night of partying. Shining Armor was making his way around the room giving a chuckle at all of the stallions he knew well enough from the guard, being out cold from having drunk too much. After making his way out of the mess hall, he made his way to the guest room where Cadence was just getting up from a pleasant nights sleep.

"Morning." He spoke as he saw her brushing out her mane, coming over to her and giving her a kiss.

"Good morning, oh.......... my." She began as she waved a hoof in front of her nose. "You smell like a brewery, did you drink last night?" She asked giving him a skeptical glance.

"Believe it or not my dear, I didn't. I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when somepony tripped and sent several pints of cider onto me. I may smell awful, but at least i'm sober." He chuckled as she headed toward the bathroom. "I'll just take quick shower before going to sleep. I'll need at least a few hours to recuperate from that party." He chuckled.

"Alright then, I'll see you for lunch." Cadence smiled as she headed out of the room.

Shining looked into the mirror in the bathroom giving a sigh at the bags under his eyes. "Boy, that was some party." He chuckled.
