Whats love got to do with it?
Chapter 139: 139. Becoming human?
Previous Chapter Next ChapterIt was getting later on in the evening once Kindle had left the lab. After hearing Steel's suggestion to help hasten the process of their plans, she felt reluctant to lower herself to such a standard in order to progress further and faster into her teams research. She continued to walk along as she mulled over everything that would outweigh her interlude with the Alicorn, That was if she could even get with him.
As time passed by, she continued to think as she walked aimlessly toward her destination a few blocks away. It wasn't until she actually bumped into a pony that she shook herself back to reality.
"I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention to....." Kindle trailed off as she focused on the pony she had bumped into, seeing a large black Alicorn standing in front of her.
"Well hello again my dear." He smiled down to her. "Kindle, right?" He asked.
"Y-yes....." She trailed off blushing beneath her coat.
"You seemed pretty deep in thought, I'm guessing it pertains to your research." He chuckled seeing her give a sheepish nod.
"Yea, its been pretty difficult as of late. But we are making some head way." She smiled.
"Great, always a pleasure to hear someone making progress in something they love to do. Were you heading home by chance? Or just walking aimlessly while thinking?" He chuckled.
"Just deep in thought. I find it easier to take a walk and think about what could hasten the progress of my research." She smiled. "And what about yourself? Why are you out so late?"
"Just walking about really, thinking about Samantha honestly. She is the first human I've seen since arriving in this world. Its just refreshing to know that I'm not really alone in this world after-all." He smiled back.
"Why would you consider yourself alone? There are countless ponies out there to talk or be with. Or....... are you not into being with ponies?" She asked while cocking her head slightly.
Midnight gave a chuckle shaking his head before looking at her once again. "No, I'm into ponies. I have a foal and three ladies of my own. I've never been happier to be honest."
Kindle gave a pained expression looking away slightly. "So, if you have three mares already, I take it they won't allow you to be with any other mare?"
Midnight was taken aback by the sudden comment but smiled softly toward her before speaking. "To be honest, we have an open relationship. Just as long as those I am with aren't in season or are out to keep me to themselves, I pretty much have free reign."
Kindle gave a smirk as they began to walk further down the street. "So then I'm guessing your after Samantha then huh?" She smirked causing Midnight to sputter.
"N-not really........ I just came to this city to talk to her really. Being the only human in this world would seem a little lonely, Meeting another, even if they were turned into a pony would be a pleasant experience. Regardless of whether or not it ended up being intimate." He chuckled.
"Ah, so you did have ulterior motives then." She giggled giving him a nudge.
"Well, if it happens it happens. I doubt she would want to be with a pony though. Yet another reason why I like magic." He laughed. "I can turn back into my human self if the need calls for it."
"Really now? I would love to see what you looked like as a human." She smiled widely. 'Gotcha now.'
"Really? Your one of the first to say that, but I would feel honored to show you my human form." He smiled as his horn glowed as they came to a stop on the sidewalk. His form slowly began to shift, after a minute he was in his original form, clothed in his outfit that he had arrived in. "Wow, feels weird to be my old self again." He chuckled as he looked down to the gawking pony.
"Wow, so this is what a male of your species looks like? Fascinating!" She giggled as she walked around him giving his clothing a poke. "I still don't understand why your species wears clothing all the time though. I have seen Samantha without her clothing in the local showers within our workplace. Even though she is hairless on most of her body, I don't see the purpose of wearing clothing other than to keep yourselves warm."
"To be honest my dear, Clothing is required in my world. Humans are brought up to feel shameful for showing their naked body to others unless it is with those they love or want to be with intimately. I'm just glad that being a pony in a new world gives me the option to wear clothing if I want to. It feels wonderful to not have any restrictive cloth on my frame." He smirked as he began to glow again, slowly turning back into his pony form.
"You know, I'm pretty good at transformation magic. I wonder if I could cast a spell to turn into a human once to see what it is like." She hummed to herself.
"You know what, I never thought of that before. The spell I used was a reversion spell to turn back into what I was, But a spell to turn into a human sounds rather interesting." Midnight chuckled. "Wonder if I could get my ladies to try that out?"
"Anyway, there is a transformation spell that will allow you to turn into anything you want as long as you think about it." Kindle smirked seeing Midnight surprised expression.
"Sounds interesting. Why not try it?" He chuckled.
"There is a slight problem with that. When I transform, I won't be wearing clothing." She shuffled her hooves nervously, looking to the ground.
"Ah..... well then......." Midnight trailed off before remembering some items in his stash portal. "I have the perfect thing for that. I'm not sure if it will fit you while you are in human form, but at least you wont be naked." He chuckled. "Want to try it out?"
Kindle gave a smile, nodding. "I'd rather not do that out here though." She spoke shyly.
"How about my room at the hotel?" He smiled.
"That sounds perfect." She smiled but stopped as Midnight stepped up to her side, his horn glowing. "Wait? Are you going to...." She didn't finish as both of them vanished in a flash of light. reappearing with a loud snap inside his hotel room. She stumbled slightly before leaning onto Midnight for a moment.
"I take it you don't use teleportation spells do you?" He asked while looking at her trying to shake the dizziness from herself.
"Sorry, I should have mentioned that earlier." She sighed as she took a seat on the floor.
After a minute to recuperate she looked over to Midnight who had a set of clothing on the bed. She trotted over taking a look at a white t-shirt and a pair of baggy shorts. "Are these what you were speaking of?" She asked as she picked them off the bed with her magic to take a closer look.
"Yea, I can step out if you want." He said while nodding to the door.
"You can turn around, but no peeking." She smirked as she watched him turn about on the spot. She took in a deep breath, slowly releasing it as her horn lit up to cast a transformation spell. In her mind she was thinking of a frame similar to Samantha's. Her body began to glow a little at first but slowly began to grow brighter as the time ticked by. After a minute the glowing subsided revealing a human version of Kindle. Long blonde hair reaching the middle of her back, ice blue eyes, and a beautifully tanned body standing around five feet tall. Her breasts however, were quite small, being around maybe a small B cup. After the glow faded she moved slightly to check out her bipedal frame. Flexing her fingers for the first time and wiggling her toes. She looked to the bed seeing the clothes and began to turn but lost her balance and landed onto it causing it to squeak.
"Kindle?" Midnight asked as he still face the other side of the room.
"I'm fine, Just not used to walking on two legs." She giggled. "Give me a minute to get dressed.
After about three minutes of fiddling with the clothes she had finally gotten dressed. She sat on the edge of the bed looking herself over as the smile on her face grew even wider. "Ok you can turn around now." She giggled.
Midnight turned himself around, gawking slightly at the young girl sitting on the edge of the bed. She was a dead ringer to a young woman in her early twenties with a tan that would make every actor in Hollywood jealous.
"Wow.........." Midnight trailed off while staring at her.
"What? Is something wrong?" She asked while looking herself over again.
"N-no, you're stunning." He smiled, still wide eyed, Kindle blushing furiously at the compliment. Midnight gave a chuckle seeing her face turn a deep red. "Sorry, I didn't mean to embarrass you."
"What!? No! You didn't." She said while blushing even more, looking away only to see her face in a mirror on the nightstand next to the foot of the bed. Her face a brilliant shade of red. She gasped, covering her face with her hands.
"That's the problem about being human. No fur to hide that cute little blush." Midnight chuckled seeing her peek through the fingers covering her face. She slowly removed her hands taking in another deep breath to calm herself as her face began to return to normal.
"Sorry, I don't normally get compliments like that." She sighed.
"Really? I'm surprised by that, your a very pretty young lady, and as a mare as well." He smiled seeing her blush slightly again.
"Thank you for that. Just wish I could find a stallion of my own to tell me that on a regular basis." She sighed. "This spell is almost over, I should get out of these clothes before I turn back." She stopped though seeing Midnight Nod and turn around.
"You know, I don't think seeing me naked as a human is any different than when I'm a pony. If you want.........." She trailed off seeing his mane start to turn a light pink as his head slowly turned to the side looking at her. She gave a blushing smile as she slowly took her shirt off and then the shorts placing them onto the bed. All the time Midnight's mane turning a brighter shade of pink. After a few seconds she shuffled nervously under his gaze. "Well? Am I still as stunning?" She asked giving a sheepish smile before she began to glow softly.
After a minute she had returned to her normal pony self. Midnight's mane was still a bright pink as he walked over to her. "Yes, you were more than stunning, and you still are." He smiled seeing her ears lay back in embarrassment. Her vision fell to the floor for a moment before she looked back up into his caring eyes. There was no malcontent or evidence of him trying to woo her into a sense of insecurity. Just loving eyes looking at her as if she was an actual pony that he cared for. She continued to stare into his eyes for a moment before she found herself kissing him. After a minute she pulled back blushing furiously as she realized what she had just done.
"I'M SO SORRY!" She spoke quickly, turning away.
"Hey, it's alright. I thought it was a very nice kiss. Even if it took me by surprise." He chuckled softly. She turned back giving a slight pout.
"You know, your to nice for your own good." She smiled.
"I try." He chuckled a little louder giving her a wink. "Listen, I'll come by the lab tomorrow, If your free, maybe we can go grab some lunch." He smiled seeing her beam.
"Sure!"
"Want me to walk you home?" He asked seeing her blush again behind her coat.
"No, thank you for the offer though." She smiled before heading toward the door. "See you tomorrow." She beamed back as she left the room.
As soon as the door shut Midnight fell over in a heap releasing the breath he didn't know he was holding.
"DAMN! I swear if that mare was any more beautiful I would probably have humped a frigging hole through a brick wall!" He sighed before looking down. "Sorry big guy, guess you'll have to go without for the night." He chuckled down to his nether region.

Kindle left the hotel with a smile plastered across her face as she walked down the street. After a few blocks however she was greeted by Steel as she rounded a corner where her home was located.
"I see you enjoyed yourself my dear. Did we get lucky?" He spoke while gazing at her.
Her smiled fell from her face quickly being replaced by a slight scowl. "No, but he asked me out to lunch tomorrow. I'll have your specimen then." She snorted as she walked by him.
"Very well. You may have the rest of the day off as well, just bring the specimen back before you go." He grinned as she continued toward her home, entering it and closing the door.
Kindle sat down pressing her back to the door giving a smile at what she had experienced earlier. The actual feeling of love coming from that Alicorn. It was the first time she had felt such love since she was little. It was more than that though. It was as is he cared for her well being and everything. Nothing like what she has been told from other ponies she has talked with. She shook her head slowly giving a sigh.
"That Alicorn is something else." She giggled before heading to bed.
