"I can't believe your world celebrates Halloween Twi, I have always had so much fun during this time of the year." Midnight chuckled as he trotted around the library.

"Halloween?" She asked while cocking a brow.

"Sorry, I meant Nightmare Night. It's on the same day in your world, just a different name in mine. Still though, I can't wait. I have so many pranks I want to pull that it'll make Pinkie jealous." He snickered evilly thinking of all the pranks he would pull that night.

"Have you decided on a costume yet?" Twilight spoke up breaking his train of thought.

"Actually, no. I've been so busy coming up with pranks I completely forgot to choose one." He spoke in surprise. "And Nightmare night is tomorrow. NNNNGH! *SNORT*" Midnight let out a loud annoyed snort as he would not be able to come up with a costume in time for tomorrow. He wanted to avoid magic usage, or transformation spells because this one time of the year meant he could act the total fool in costume without others thinking he was insane.

"Dammit, maybe I can think of something if I know what my ladies will be wearing." He sighed turning back to Twilight as she sat at her desk. "What're you going to wear for Nightmare Night?" He asked Twilight who only gave him a devious grin.

"Are you sure you want to know?" She giggled seeing his sudden discomfort.

"Uuuuuhhhhhhh..........." He trailed off now getting a little nervous.

"Oh come on you big baby, it's nothing bad." She smirked seeing him relax as she went into the next room, quickly getting dressed.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Sure why not." he chuckled, but stopped as he watched her trot playfully into the room.

"OH......... MY........... GOD!" He squeaked out looking at Twilight's costume. She was dressed up as a Catholic school girl, a white long sleeve button up shirt with a little red tie, a plaid skirt hiked up to show off just part of her cutie mark. and a pair of knee high socks going up her back legs along with complete set of little shiny black shoes to set them off. But that wasn't what set the outfit off. It was the final piece that really did it. A small set of red glasses that she floated from nearby onto the bridge of her nose before giving Midnight a sultry gaze.

"So how do you like it?" She trotted up and around him playfully flicking her tail to his nose.

"Heh hubba da neh........" He slurred out while staring at her, his jaw agape while trying to form words. She gave a sinister smile trotting up to him and pressing his jaw back into its rightful position before giving his nose a quick kiss.

"I believe my job here is complete." She giggled before trotting back into the other room, quickly stripping her clothing off before coming back into the other room smiling. "Well?" She asked giving a smirk.

"You are soooooo going to pay for tormenting me like that." Midnight chuckled.

"Well then, I had better prepare for later then." She giggled, giving him a wink while sticking her tongue out at him.

"I better go check and see what the others are planning to dress up as, and see if Rarity can come up with a costume for me on such short notice." He chuckled seeing Twilight still grinning at him. "I'll take care of YOU later!" He smirked causing her to give a mock shock expression while placing a hoof over her mouth.

"Oh no. Whatever will I do?" She smirked causing Midnight to shake his head giving a chuckle.

After making a quick exit from the library, he made his way down the street to Rarity's boutique. As he walked by the window he noticed Rarity pulling a costume from a ponequin in the window. Making his way inside, he passed a smiling earth pony who had a small box on his back, who made a quick exit from the store.

"Looks like business is booming right now." Midnight spoke up catching her attention.

"Midnight, darling I have been looking all over for you. I need you to try on your costume I made for you." She beamed as she trotted into the next room.

"Wait......... You chose my costume? But I never asked you to make one." He said while cocking a brow.

"Oh but you are going to love it darling. It will match mine perfectly." She giggled as some shuffling was heard in the next room.

"Really? What are you dressing up as?" He asked as he trotted toward the door she had just gone through.

"Ah ah aaaaah, keep your flank in there. I will not have you spoiling the surprise." She spoke out authoritatively halting his advance.

"Fine fine." He sighed as he sat there for a couple minutes before she trotted slowly back into the room causing him to gasp. "Your kidding me?! But......... how in the hell?!" He stuttered before she floated out a DVD case placing it in front of him. It was a DVD of the Adams family from earth showing all of the human actors on the cover.

"I borrowed a movie from Applejack that was was in your old house. You have quite the collection in there." She giggled causing him to gawk. After watching the movie, I simply fell in love with the female actresses dress, and had to make one of my own for Nightmare Night." She giggled as Midnight looked at the form fitting dress on his ivory love. Her mane and tail now completely straight and solid black.

"But........... what about your mane and tail?! I never thought you would dye it black?!" He choked out in surprise causing her to giggle as she removed a small pendant that was around her neck. In turn causing her mane and tail to return its naturally curled, purple shape.

"Enchanted jewelry darling, I have one for you as well." She smiled as she floated a black tuxedo from the next room to him along with two pendants on a necklace.

"A black tux?" He asked while cocking a brow. "Not very clashing dear." He smirked.

Once you put the pendant on you'll change your mind darling." She giggled.

Midnight hummed quietly for a moment before placing the necklace with the two pendants around his neck. Once it was on, his coat turned to a blistering white while his ethereal mane and tail became a solid, slicked back black. He looked into a large standing mirror at his new colors and gave a dashing grin while striking a couple poses.

"Well? Put on your costume darling." Rarity giggle as she watched him hurriedly putting his costume on. It was just a top piece to a tuxedo, but with it being black it stood out against his now white coat.

"Damn! I make an awesome pony version of Gomez." He grinned as his horn lit up, placing a small mustache onto himself.

"I do say, I agree darling." Rarity giggled trotting by while swaying her hips.

"You are so going to regret that as much as Twilight will if you keep teasing me like that." He chuckled giving a sinister grin.

"Really now? I don't regret any other time." She snickered before turning and giving him a kiss.

"Then I'll just have to work harder next time." He smirked. "But for now, I'm going to get out of this costume and head into town to check on preparations for Nightmare Night tomorrow. I promised the Mayor I would help decorate the town." He smirked once again as he quickly pulled the costume and pendants from him, neatly folding it and placing it onto the counter. "I'll be back later after everything is taken care of." He smiled once again, giving the ivory pony another kiss before heading out the door and into town.

As Midnight made his way around the small town of Ponyville to help out where he was needed, he noticed how similar the decor was compared to Halloween. Hay bales being placed in small pyramids along with various gourds and pumpkins for decoration. Jack-o-lanterns with candles in them placed on every doorstep. By far, everything was coming together and looking to make this holiday one of the best he has experienced. However, there was still one problem when he was asked to help with some of the other decorations.

"No way, forget it. I don't care if you get mad at me for not doing this, but I am NOT touching a spiderweb or fake spiders." Midnight backed away looking at the jumble of cotton string that would be the web along with the many plastic spiders.

"Now Midnight, these are fake and completely harmless, I honestly don't see why you're so afraid." The mayor chuckled as she dug some of the fake spiders out of the small container they were in and placing them onto the table only to make Midnight recoil in fear.

"Sorry mayor, I have a never ending fear of spiders. To even be this close to a fake one is honestly taking everything I can muster." He chuckled nervously as his vision never left the fake spiders just to make sure they weren't real ones playing possum.

'Hehe, Midnight is so going to freak.' Dash thought to herself as she snuck up slowly behind the Alicorn with a long stick that had several smaller twigs extending from the end. She slowly pressed forward, making sure to be low enough to the ground and far enough away to be out of bucking distance as she gently extended the stick forward brushing it against his ankle.

Upon feeling something brush up against his ankle, plus the paranoia of possible spiders attacking him, Midnight jumped straight up crashing into the ceiling of town hall before his horn lit up with magic as he spun around ready to vaporize the assaulting insect from behind him. He stopped though as he heard Dash laughing her flank off while rolling on the floor. He quickly landed, leaning down into Dash's face giving an audible snort.

"That was not cool Dash." He glared as she slowly stopped her laughing fit to get up and look him directly in the eyes.

"Oh quite complaining you big baby, I can't believe an Alicorn is afraid of a little spider." She giggled.

"So, I bet your afraid of something. Everyone has a fear of something." He snorted.

"Ahem." The mayor spoke up catching their attentions. "Ms. Dash, Since your here, would you mind helping with placing these webs and FAKE spiders since Midnight seems to have an annoying fear of them?" She asked, causing Dash to giggle.

"Sure thing." She smiled trotting over as Midnight passed her, heading toward the door.

"Oh and Night." Dash spoke up catching his attention as he turned back to her. "You forgot this." She snickered while throwing a hoof full of plastic spiders at him causing to whinny in surprise, tripping all over himself to get the buck out of town hall, causing the mayor and Dash to nearly fall over laughing.

"Luna dear, do you think your costume to be appropriate for tomorrow night? I have a feeling that it may cause quite a bit of uneasy feelings amongst the ponies in Ponyville." Celestia prodded as she watched her sister placing a helmet onto her head and changing her regalia.

"I'm sure Tia, This holiday is after all to try and bribe my former self with candy so that I would not eat the children is it not?" She giggled before using her magic to change her height back to what it was when she was Nightmare Moon. She trotted over to a mirror giving a pleased smile as she turned about, checking to see if there were any flaws in her costume.

"It is as if you were Nightmare Moon reborn." Tia spoke in awe as she watched her sister.

"It does doesn't it, minus the attitude of course." She smiled as she began to remove the costume and reverting back to her original size. "I wonder what Midnight and the elements will think when they see me. This is his first true Nightmare Night, I wonder how he will cope with all of the costumed ponies and pranks." She giggled loudly thinking of his reactions.

"I'm not sure what his or their reactions will be, but please be careful dear sister. You do not want to scare the ponies of that small town into believing Nightmare Moon has been reborn." Celestia spoke out in a motherly tone, worried about the possible consequences of the costume her sister had chosen for tomorrows events.

"No need to worry, I will avoid it as much as possible. But it doesn't mean I will not be having fun otherwise." She snickered thinking of a few ponies to prank as she looked over to a small red curtain with gold fringes adorning it.

"Oh yes, I will have quite a bit of fun tomorrow."
