Chapter 112: 112. Redemption (part 3)
Previous Chapter Next Chapter"Alright then, let's go over the list Twi." Midnight nodded to her as he opened his stash portal and began unloading all of the materials.
"Lumber."
"Check."
"Tools, nails, and screws."
"Check."
"Blue prints."
"Check."
"Foundation materials."
"Check."
"Alright then, let's get to work!" Midnight shouted as his horn lit up a blistering white as tools from all around him began setting up. He pulled the blueprints to in front of him as he quickly set up markers in the soil. He pulled a single shovel to his side just as the markers finished setting up. Twilight gave a giggle as she noticed the single small shovel.
"I don't think you'll be done anytime soon with a single shovel that size."
"Who says I was leaving it this size?" He chuckled as his magic hit the shovel causing it expand and grow fifty times its normal size.
"I guess that will do." Twilight smirked as she watched the shovel plunge into the ground and begin to move the dirt to the side a few yards away. After a few minutes the ground had been dug and evenly set. Midnight set up a force field into the basement pulling it just over a foot from the wall and placing rebar's along the floor and walls holding them in place as he quickly mixed the cement and poured it into place.
"This is amazing." Trixie said as she came up, taking a seat next to Twilight.
"I know, who knew that construction was so interesting." Twilight smiled as the two continued watching Midnight finish up the foundation. Twilight watched as Midnight's face contorted slightly as his horn began to burn brighter with magic.
"Midnight? What spell are you using?" Trixie asked trotting up to him.
"Time manipulation for the concrete. Gonna set it quick so I can finish the house today." He smirked as they listened to the concrete groan slightly from setting. Midnight stopped for a moment taking a few deep breaths before starting on the house.
"Don't you need some saws?" Twilight piped up.
"Not when you can manipulate the air with magic." He laughed as his horn glowed, lifting some of the lumber into the air for a moment before it mysteriously began to separate into many different pieces.
"That's a useful spell when you get in a jam." Trixie smirked.
"You know I can teach you some self defense and offensive spells if you want Trixie. I let Twi there copy my entire spell list right from my head." He chuckled as he continued working.
"Really? How many spells did you learn Twilight?" Trixie asked with a smile.
"Just over ten thousand spells." She smirked causing all of the color to drain from Trixie's face.
"Please tell me your joking!" She squeaked.
"Nope, it's all true, Plus I know over a hundred different spell categories. I just wish I could learn them like he does." Twilight smirked nodding to the Alicorn before them.
"How does he learn them?" Trixie asked looking from Midnight back to Twilight.
"All he does is think of something he wants to have a spell to do and he learns it. Surprised me to at first. I cast a mind spell onto him to allow us to walk around in his head to see memories, we came up to his spell door and the number was moving slowly. But when I asked him why, he said something and the number shot up by five hundred. I couldn't believe it. After opening the door I learned all of his spells from that moment, which reminds me." She stopped as she yelled to Midnight. "We need to have another look at your spell door Night, I need to update my portfolio of spells." Twilight giggled.
"Not a prob babe." He chuckled as he continued working.
"That is just incredible. But what about how he casts them? I'm sure the alchemical ingredients needed for some of them are possibly rare or even non existent." Trixie added giving a scrutinizing tone.
"That's the best part. Every spell he knows is a different version of the spells all of Equestria knows. His spells don't require any ingredients what so ever." Twilight giggled seeing the expression of pure shock on the azure unicorns face.
"Yep, I have saved a TON of bits from not buying any ingredients since I learned his spell list, and believe it or not, his list of spells is superior to normal spells." Twilight smiled.
"Keep feeding my ego Twi and I might just have to reward you." Midnight smirked back to her.
"I might just do that." She winked back.

After a couple of hours, the house had been finished. Midnight had run a scan spell over the house to make sure everything was in order and nothing was left out of place to cause any problems later. He gave a satisfied nod turning back to the girls.
"All done, just need to put your bed and some furniture in there and we'll be done." He smiled.
"But we never went to a shop to pick them out." Trixie proclaimed, that was until she heard hoofbeats against the ground coming toward them.
"Sorry Trixie, but I had Rarity pick you out some furniture. She has wonderful taste." Twilight smiled but stopped as she saw the look of horror on Midnight's face.
"Please tell me your joking Twilight." He spoke up.
"No, why? Is that a problem?" She asked watching him facehoof.
"Did you set a budget for her?" He asked.
"Uh....oh..........." Twilight gave a nervous smile.
"Ok boys, lets get this furniture inside post haste." Rarity chirped happily as she trotted up to the other girls.
"Trixie darling, I have picked out the most exquisite furniture and bed for you, along with some kitchen supplies and other items." She giggled.
Midnight just stood by as he watched the unicorn moving company pull items left and right from the large pony drawn van.
"Eeyup, there went my savings." He sighed but stopped as he noticed quite a few other items still inside the van. "Rarity, I take it you purchased a few items for yourself as well hmmm?" He spoke up cocking a brow at his ivory love.
"Yes darling, and for Twilight as well. I picked out something fabulous for her. Do come and see it." She chirped happily.
As the four ponies trotted up to the van, Midnight could only dread the amount of bits Rarity had spent on all of the items she had obtained that day.
"Here you are Twilight." Rarity smiled pulling a small glowing orb to her.
"What is it?" Twilight asked while cocking an eyebrow.
"This is something very special for the library, and it will help out Spike quit a bit as well." She giggled. "This little gem will locate any book within your library and magically teleport it to you, It will also teleport the book back to the spot on the shelf it would need to be in as well."
"Oh my goodness, Thank you Rarity." Twilight squealed in glee as she hugged the ivory pony.
"And what did you get darling?" Midnight smirked causing Rarity to smile nervously
"Well, I know how much you hate being my little dress up pony when the clothing I make needs to be just right, so I purchased an enchanted ponyequin that can do the same thing I asked you to do, but without all the groaning and complaining of course." She smirked causing Twilight to giggle.
"Thanks for that dear." He spoke mockingly. "But exactly how much of my savings did you spend today besides the portion I spent?"
"Around five thousand bits I believe." She smiled causing Midnight to give a sigh of relief.
"Thank God."
"And what is that supposed to mean? Did you really think I would spend all of your bits?" She grumped back at him.
"No dear, in the farthest reaches of my mind it is no where present that you would spend all of my money when having free reign to purchase anything and everything you could think of to furnish an unfurnished home." He spoke out in a flat monotone giving her a deadpanned expression. In turn making Twilight and Trixie snort before busting into laughter.
"Well then, I can always take the ponyequin back and kee you as my pin cushion." She smiled causing Midnight to bolt to her side smiling.
"No dear, that will be fine. You can keep the awesome new ponyequin you so expertly picked out to save my hide from being stabbed repeatedly."
"Thank you darling." She smiled leaning up and giving him a quick kiss. Midnight trotting away into the house to supervise the ponies inside. Trixie trotting up to Rarity while watching Midnight leave.
"I must say you have quite the gift. He seems to be wrapped around your hoof several times over." She giggled.
"Oh please, he is as stubborn as a mule at times and will always bitch about something when he isn't in the mood to do anything. Although seldom, it doesn't happen." Rarity sighed.
"I take it this is one of those days when he is being helpful?" Trixie asked cocking a brow.
"Quite the opposite actually. He will of course go out of his way to help a pony in need, but the only reason he is acting so nice toward me at the moment is because, one, I have all of his bits. Two, he knows he is going to have to make up with not only me, but Twilight and Applejack as well. And three, I have him so whipped at times it isn't funny." She giggled causing Trixie to blush.
"So he has three mares? Does that mean all of you......... at the same time?" She asked blushing an even darker shade of red.
"Heavens no........... well not yet anyway." Rarity smiled placing a hoof on her chin in thought while looking at Twilight causing her to explode into a color that would make Big Macintosh jealous.
"RARITY!?" Twilight spoke out in shock seeing a grin spread across her face as she came closer.
"Come now darling, I think we're going to have a little fun with our stallion." She smirked leaning up and whispering into Twilight's ear.
After a moment of listening to Rarity's plan Twilight began to twiddle her hooves nervously.
"Rarity, I-I've never kissed a mare before." She spoke shyly before she looked up seeing Rarity in front of her smiling. Before she could react Rarity planted a firm kiss onto her causing Twilight's fur to stand on end for a moment before relaxing as she pulled away.
"Wow, that wasn't what I expected." Twilight giggled.
"Then how about this?" Rarity smirked before running her tongue the full length of Twilight's horn making it erupt into a shower of sparks and causing her to fall over with a loud moan.
"Really Twilight? One lick and your finished? I'm better than I thought." Rarity giggled brushing a hoof on her chest before pulling it away to gaze at it smiling.
"That was........evil." Twilight snorted giving a smirk, her eyes giving a very hungry look as she got to her hooves taking a lowered posture, her tail flicking back and forth behind her.
"I do think I have awoken the beast/" Rarity giggled giving a satisfied smile, she leaned over to Trixie who was blushing furiously at this moment before speaking quietly. "Get Midnight and bring him here quickly if you want to remember something very interesting."
Just as Rarity finished Twilight bowled her over into the dirt cackling madly. Trixie ran inside her new home to see Midnight pointing a hoof to a corner where one of the ponies would need to place a piece of furniture.
"Midnight, Can you come outside for a moment, Rarity and Twilight need to see you now." She spoke out trying to hide a giggle.
"Al....riiiight?" He spoke, cocking a brow and heading out the door. Once he had made it to the other side of the moving van with Trixie he stopped as his mane and tail erupted into an inferno. Before him was Twilight holding Rarity down and licking the length of her horn while Rarity laid there with her eyes rolled into the back of her head, a goofy smile across her face with some drool hanging down from her loled out tongue.
"Trixie, I'll be back later." He spoke as he walked up to the two playful mares and quickly teleported them and himself away.
"Oh my goodness. What has happened to Ponyville since I left?" Trixie squeaked in surprise before heading into her newly furnished home.
