The Book Of the Lost
Chapter 16: Filli Fiance Part Six
Previous Chapter Next Chapter“That is positively barbaric!” Rarity said as she set down her cup of tea. “You chased him all over town? Twilight, you are a princess, you should have police ponies going after him!”
Twilight didn’t care. “Applejack can help me catch him. There is a better chance—”
“I want doing no such thing,” Apple jack stated in a matter of fact tone. “Now we know the facts that he did cheat on Pinkie. He started herding and got quite a few mares to boot. That between them now, all we can do is be there for Pinkie when she gets back tomorrow.”
“You know what he did to my mother!” Twilight hissed.
“No we don’t, we all know your mom Twilight and she wouldn’t do anything she wouldn’t want to. Maybe he got a snake bite on his privates and she was trying to suck out the poison. We don’t know. We will ask her when she wakes up.” Apple jack said being the voice of reason.
“Twilight, dear please. That little episode this morning cause quite a bit of drama. Ponies think that you’re a jilted couple. Chasing him around town like an enraged mare.”
Twilight thought she would lose her lunch, “I rather die than mate with him. Who would even think that?”
“Every pony darling, it’s the frolic and you caused a huge scene. Now we I surmise we all regroup and search for him after we find Fluttershy, I haven’t seen her since we got off the—“
“Guys!” came a shout from fair above the table.
“What is it Dash?” Twilight questioned.
“I found him! I spotted him walking along the Everfree going towards Apple Jack’s place.” Rainbow Dash yelled.
“Well isn’t that just great, we can get to the bottom of all of this!” Apple Jack said, being the first to stand.
“I’m going to try and find Fluttershy,” Rarity chimed in. “I’m getting kind of worried.”
“Yes,” Twilight said as she stood from her seat, “Let’s get to the bottom of this right now.”
You needed to get to the north field and fast. It finally hit you why you were being track down so easily. It was your damn foot prints. You sunk near an inch to straight into the dirt everywhere you went. Only hope now was an apple laced with medicine. An apple only provided by an Apple.
You would just take an apple and tell them later. The family suffered like you did. They would understand if it was just one apple.
“Move it or lose it!” Scootaloo yelled.
You barely had a moments noticed before three little fillies whipped by. The blur scooted along as the driver skitters to a stop.
“Found you!” Sweetie Bell beamed.
“I can’t believe how long that took.” Apple Bloom sighed. “We had been looking for like almost a whole hour.”
“Why are you three looking for me?” You said as he kneeled down to their height. “I can’t make you any of my famous shakes anymore.”
“Your shakes kind of sucked.” Scootaloo said.
Well screw you.
“Twilight asked us to help search for you. She seemed really eager to find you.” Apple Bloom said honestly.
“Yeah I bet she does…” You said as you looked back towards town. “Look me and Twilight are playing hide and seek, sort of, and I’m hiding. So let’s not tell her where I am ok?”
“Why?” They all said in unison.
“Because were playing a game and if Twilight finds me its game over,” for your life.
“But Twilight said if we found you she was going to take us to Canterlot lot for dinner.” Scootaloo said.
Using children’s untold energy for your own advantage and bribing them with good food no less. You were kind of impressed by how resourceful Twilight was. “How about I take all three of you out to eat, all you can eat hay buffet.” You said beaming.
“Pizza Buffet and you got a deal.” Apple bloom staid as she extended her hoof, you got to admit you loved these fillies more and more. They could be bribed.
“Was Rainbow Dash playing your game too?” Scootaloo questioned.
“Ah… yes.” You say curiously. “Why do you ask?”
“She is flying over there.” Scootaloo pointed to the clouds and low and behold there was a long rainbow streak dashing across the sky.
Into the bushes you went.
“Hey… do you know a place where I can lay low for a bit until she finishes making her sweep.”
The three fillies beamed as they knew right where to hide their meal ticket.
You just deadpanned as you looked at the fillies’ club house. This was not a hiding place for a grown man. Maybe if you were a marshmallow that weighed a pound but sadly that wasn’t the case.
“This isn’t going to work.” You say.
“Well you can hide under the Picnic tables.” Apple Bloom pointed to the bush nearest a patch of trees.
You just huddle against a tree and hoped for the best. It almost embarrassing squatting next to a tree hiding from a group of pastel ponies. What were you going to do? You weren’t going to go in swinging. You never hit a mare, it was wrong. You knew Twilight just had a misconception and the other girls are just following her lead or protecting Pinkie’s honor.
“Hey what’s that?” Sweetie Bell asked as she pointed to your chest. Some of the bottoms seems to have come undone, most likely when you brush dived.
It was the mana burn that Luna had given you when she connected with your mind. The black mark almost looked like a tattoo. It was then you got a small twisted idea. “It’s a cutie mark.” You said snickering to yourself. All three fillies went wide eyed as they looked at the black horseshoe print on your chest.
“I thought only ponies could get them?” Scootaloo said.
“Well humans get them on their chests.” You say trying your best not to laugh. It was nice to have a bit of fun.
“What is your special talent, making horse shoes?” Sweaty Bell asked as she disarmed the shape.
“Yup, making and fixing them. I can also enchant them to walk on air.” You said stepping out of your joke. You looked back to the road and tried to see if anyone was coming, you were sure you heard footsteps but that may have been your paranoia.
You felt a small breeze caress your cheek. It was faint and you just caught it out of the corner of your eye but you were sure you say it. It was the rainbow tail of the local weather pony. You remained completely still as you tried to merge yourself with the tree.
“Shh. Girls be quiet, if they catch us it’s all over.” You could almost feel your heart in your throat. You turned your head, “Girls—“
All you could do was blink.
It felt like you were sitting at the wrong end of a line up. Laying on the ground before you nestle in the shade was three fillies.
Sweaty Bell caught your eye first as her soft curves of her tail spread wide covering the ground floor. It looked almost like an arrow as it pointed to her young marehood. Small, supple, innocent to the ways of males. She looked so soft, you were mildly tempted to use her as a pillow. She was on her back, with her hooves pointed in the air.
Next was Scootaloo, her tiny wings were folded at her side and covered the small tuffs the fur that grew unevenly along her undercarriage. Her tiny pristine privates looked like a small tear drop. She also was on her back with her hooves pointed in the air.
Last was the youngest of the Apple family. Err, used to be youngest. Her mane looked messy, and there were a few leaves that were stuck in her locks. Her small supple frame almost guided yours eyes as you looked over her young untouched innocence. Her hooves were also in the air.
All of this information was gathered in a tenth of a second before you looked away.
“What in the living world are you girls doing?!” You almost shout, a dark crimson growing in your cheeks.
“What do you think we’re doing, we want you to enchant our shoes to walk on air?” Scootaloo stated. “This can really help me fly so me first!”
“No me first,” Apple Bloom protested. “I’m the one who saw him on the road first. Besides I’m the one who likes his shakes the most.”
“I like his shakes more!” Scootaloo said.
LIAR!
“Girls, you need to be quite or were going to get caught!” you pleaded.
“Get caught doing what?”
The voice struck your ears like two large hammers; you lower back tensed up immediately as your head whipped back almost giving yourself whiplash. Touching down just behind the girls was Rainbow Dash. You looked at her and she looked at you.
She looked down at the fillies and then back up again. Her eyes narrowed, “you sick bastard.” All three fillies zipped up tight and they knew they were in trouble, they had never heard Rainbow Dash curse. “There little fillies!” Rainbow Dash finished in a snarl.
You opened your mouth to protest only to shut it almost immediacy. You’re really worried was trailing behind about a hundred paces away climbing up him and fast, Apple Jack ahead of Twilight thankfully. You however knew what you had to do.
You turned, and booked it the opposite way. Fuck explaining that situation. It was fillies lying in the dirt. Even an enraged Twilight would have enough common sense to know you weren’t doing anything.
Rainbow Dash didn’t follow; it took all she had to swallow the bile that was beginning to churn in her stomach. She looked down at the now three frightened fillies. Her scowl lightened as he looked at the girls, “girls what were you doing out here with him?”
Apple jack and Twilight slowed to a halt as they wordlessly looked at the little girls in there compromising position.
“What in tarnation is going on here!?” Apple jack said as she looked down at his sister. “Apple Bloom!?”
Apple Bloom coked, “It’s not my fault!? He said he would eat us out if we hid him.”
Silence filled the air as Twilight looked over at Apple Jack. “He has become a deviant, you really want to defend him now!?”
Applejack's eyes narrowed at your silhouette as you charged through the forest. “Girls, go to the house. Now!” It was almost like they teleported as the got on their tiny hooves could carry them. “Twilight, that weight spell that you put on me, can you reverse it?”
Twilight looked to her side, “I can, but even if I did he would still weigh more than you.”
“Sugercube, I want you to reverse it. If you make a spell that can make me less dense you should be able to make it so there is one to make me more.” Apple Jack said oddly calm in her situation.
“I can… but if I do that Apple Jack your muscles will get accustom to it, you would uproot any tree you would buck. You might not ever be able to harvest apple again. Are you sure you want me too?” Twilight said.
“Twilight, I’m going to pummel him for what he did to my sweet little Apple Bloom. Family is more important than apples.” Apple Jack said confidently.
Even Twilight knew there was no changing Apple Jacks mind as her horn sparked to life. Apple Jack could feel the rush of mana wash over her as her real weight came back to her. It told a moment for her body to grow accustom to.
Then it hit her like a brick.
Apple Jack looked at herself, her skin below her coat took on a light red hue. It felt like somepony was pouring lead into every fiber of her being. It took all she had not to whimper as her muscles strained themselves under her knew weight.
“Twilight what is with the steam?” Apple Jack said as she looked at the stuffed of steam rolling out of her coat.
“It’s your muscle adjusting to the strain, your core temperature is rising dramatically to try to get used it. I can almost feel you radiating heat.” Twilight said slightly surprised that her spelled worked for the first time.
“This is all well and good and all guys,” Rainbow Dash stated as she pointed a hoof at the tiny titan. “He is getting away.”
All three locked onto their target, each now contemplating how they were going to stop you.
Three little fillies sat on a bed, their hearts full of dread. Each looking at the door waiting for their punishments to arrive.
“I knew we shouldn’t have tried hiding him.” Apple Bloom said as she hugged her pillow.
“Yeah, but I feel sorry for him a little bit. They looked really mad.” Sweetie Bell said as she fell against the soft blanket.
“Well it didn’t help when you said he was going to try and eat us! Now I bet they think he is a monster.”
“Well anypony can get mix up ‘eat us out’ and ‘take us out to eat’,” she nodded, “besides they know he doesn’t eat ponies.”
Scootaloo perked her head up, “but… what if he does…”
It was hopeless.
You were almost completely out of breathe. Sweat poured down your face as it soaked into your uniform. Your hair was glossy and pushed back thanks to the wind that was pushing against you. It felt like a knife was in the dead center of your back and it was becoming harder and harder to breathe.
You couldn’t lose them.
The flying rainbow was keeping an eye in the sky watching your every move. It was impossible to lose her; she normally had at least a small lazy streak that you could count on. The look on her face though was scary; she looked like she was out for blood.
Thankfully Twilight wasn’t in her god mode state of mind anymore. Although, she still decided to keep up firing magic bolas. Thankfully her aim was still crap. She however was the least of your worries; she was almost a tenth of a mile behind.
Lastly though was Apple Jack thought was scary the living hell out of you. It wasn’t the steam that was rolling out of her fur like a smoke machine. It wasn’t the red and golden aura that made her look like she went super saiyan. It was that death glare, shallow and filled with focus on one thing.
You weren’t going to find out what that thing was.
Sadly, running at a dead sprint for five minutes was taking its toll on you. You were already tired from before, this wasn’t helping.
“Maybe if I asked for a time out?” you said as you made your way down a barren stretch of dirt.
“I got you now!” you heard from above.
It was all the warning you got as your entire field of vision was lost to you in a sea of rainbow colors. It stopped you in your tracks as you fell to one knee. You covered your ears as they began to ring and pound inside of your head. You forced your eyes shut as you tried to come to your senses.
It may have been just a few seconds or a few minutes. It took a long moment for you to realize what your pastel friend had just accomplished.
She used a sonic rainboom, right next to your face.
You had only ever heard legend of her feats in the air, you were even curious to what a sonic rainboom would even look like. You could now cross it off your bucket list. Sadly, your list was burned with your house.
“I think I broke him.”
“I’m going to mangle him, Twilight let me at him.” Apple Jack said.
“Wait.” Twilight said in a calm voice.
You had no idea what had gotten into Twilight in such a short amount of time but if it was stopping her from trying to beat you, you were not going to complain. Your eyes fluttered open slowly to see the terrain. It was a long road to that was the clinic rout that came to the ledge. Straight in front of you though was the cliff face that was almost legendary for strollers to lose control and roll down.
The bottom was covered in several different types of wild flowers, although from that high you were sure you wouldn’t want to find out what they were from the top of the cliff face. It took you a moment to realize though as you twisted in place… you were surrounded.
“Well let’s talk this out now,” you said trying your hardest now to ponder Twilight’s change of heart.
“Twilight after what he did with Apple Bloom and the girls, you are really going to bargain with him!?”
“Hey,” you said, “they came to me and I know it may have been wrong but I made the offer and they accepted it. I know they were young and probably have no idea what they were doing or how much trouble they could have gotten into." You could only guess how much trouble a pony would get into for helping hide a man wanted by the princess. “Come on though, there just a bunch of little fillies. The—“
“Please,” Twilight said trying not to lose her lunch. “I have heard more than enough and with the testimonies I can acquire from more than half the town I am more than well prepared a good case against you. So as I think I am being more than fair I have come up with a good solution, you can write a full confession of your crimes and intentions and then you will be put into the prison. Don’t worry, I know a spell that can keep even you restrained. After you can await sentencing and with good behavior you can be out in fifteen to twenty years.”
You only gave a deadpan stare, “Well gee-willikers there Twilight that sure does sound swell. I however will have to take the other option because I have done…” well you did cheat of Pinkie, but that isn’t a crime. “Look I know you mad but really, since when have you ever thought I would do anything like that.”
“We never thought you cheat on Pinkie either but look what happened!” Rainbow said with a snarl. “I don’t care; you’re coming with us the easy way or the hard way.”
You just had to ask. “What pre-tell is the hard way?”
”Were going to get AJ to knock you out and drag you in.” Rainbow Dash finished.
“Well I’m not in the mood for prison food.” You said taking a step back. You were never going to hit a mare even if they were seconds away from pummeling you. It just wasn’t in you, and deep down you knew that they thought what they were doing the right thing.
“Then we will do this the old fashioned way.” You swore you could almost see a twisted smile grow. “I Princess Twilight Sparkle hereby sentence you to be restrained in Tartarus for twenty years.”
You blink several times, “you can do that! Can she do that?” You really didn’t know. She was a princess and she did have jurisdiction of Ponyville and the Everfree forest… Fuck. “Then what was all the shooting you were doing before?! You can’t just go firing away at me without just cause?!”
Twilight looked over to Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash, “What shooting? I don’t recall me shooting anything? Do you girls see that?”
“Nope, all I saw was you processing your magic. Nothing odd about that right Apple Jack?” Rainbow said as she looked over to her golden friend.
“Nope, I don’t reckon that is at all peculiar. Now let’s get down to business.” Apple Jack was the first to step forward. You could see the gleam in her eye. She was more than ready for a fight.
“I’m not going to fight you Apple jack.” You said as you took a step back. “I rather jump then hit a mare.” It was almost in an instant; Twilight vanished from your vision. You only had a moment to react as you heard a pop from behind you.
“Get him and hold him down Apple Jack, I’ll stop him in case he jumps.” Twilight said as she now fluttered several feet behind you.
You stop for a moment, before you whip you head back. It was almost scary how fast the farm mare traveled in such a short amount of time. Rainbow Dash moved in next, with several flaps she went above the cloud line just out of sight. It didn’t take a genius to realize she was going for another one of her trademark rainboom. You knew you only had a minute or so before she would tear passed you and stun you with a sonic blast.
It was like this was almost planed out.
You focused on what you knew, which was that you were facing a pissed off steaming mare. Apple Jacks forest green eyes sparkled indignantly. You cursed yourself for thinking this, but Apple Jack looked kind of good in this setting.
“Ahhhhhh!” It was a sound that you never actually thought you would hear in real life. A scream from a damsel in distress. You turned back, Twilight was missing. You looked down, corrected, she was falling. Then you realized why Twilight had never flown all day to try and hunt you down. She still couldn’t fly.
It came to you almost completely second nature. You jumped. It didn’t matter she had been trying to hunt you down like a dog. It was built inside of you, ingrained in your very nature. She needed help. A fall from this height would cripple her.
You were flying face first as you reached out to her tiny purple hoof. For a brief moment you and Twilight were suspended in time. You looked at her and her back at you.
Then she vanished. In retrospect, you remembered she could teleport back to solid ground.
“Fuck you, Twilight!” you shouted. You waved your arms in the air like a flailing duck trying to fly.
Croosh
From that day forward, there was a new crater at the bottom of Ponyville’s favorite flower garden.
“Is he dead?”
“No I think he is knocked out, or stunned at least.” Twilight said as she examined the body over. Her hoof dragged across his bare chest as she sent several magical pulsing trying to get a better idea of his condition. “He is dazed; he won’t be like this for very long that fall wasn’t even enough to bruise his skin.”
“Well, let’s get to it then. The sooner we lock him up the safer Apple Bloom will be. I still can’t be leave her was going to do that to my little sister.” Apple Jack traced her hoof over the flap of your slacks.
Twilight took a comfortable position as she sat directly on your chest, her hind legs spread apart toasts to your farm, her eyes locked on you like a bird eyeing a mouse. Her horn glowing, ready to cast any spell needed at a moment’s notice.
Two thick cuffs fell from midair, each landing on either side of your body. “Wrap them around his legs and arms. I made these extra strong. He isn’t going anywhere. The moment they both are locked on it’s a one way teleportation to Tartarus.”
“We have a problem Twilight.” Apple Jack said.
“What is it?” Twilight stated, still not moving her horn from your throat.
“I think he is getting up” Rainbow Dash said finishing her sentence.
You shimmied a little as full cognition worked its way around your body. You tried to move, but from what felt like a ten ton behemoth was sitting on your stomach. Your arms were locked down and even your legs were completely covered in dirt.
“Good I was hoping you wake up for this,” a devilish grin grew on the mares face. “This is for my mother.” She whispered in a tone that only you two could here. “Now Apple Jack!”
Your mind went into overdrive. Both set actually. You were seconds away from becoming the first human in Tartarus. Twilight had labeled you a heinous monster, sending you to a place where only the worst demons live. There was no way out of this.
Fuck it. You were going to fight back. Something dark inside you erupted; it felt like black chains that locked part of you up just… snapped. You went or the only option at your disposal. You leaned forward and bit down onto the base of Twilight’s horn.
“Now I’m glad I got the feature to rewind real time or that would have been hard to explain.” Discord said as he hit the play button.
Cup Cake only sat in amazement on how unlucky things had turned out for you. She however was morally constricted. She knew it was bad to think such things. For a moment, she wanted to see you deck Twilight in the face.
Twilight had done nothing wrong; she was still an alicorn though. It was a deep racism for her kind.
“Discord let’s get out of here, you know this is a mistake and we can explain everything to them. You know he didn’t take advantage of Dazzle and he would never, ever touch a filly like that.” Cup Cake said nearly pleading.
“I’m sorry Cup Cake, but I still must prove to you that love between two different species can never really exist. As your friend I am going to prove you wrong and besides. I want to see this play out. The good guy is getting accused of something he has not done! Now facing the elements of harmony like he is the villain. I can’t tell you how happy I am to see the nice guy get there come upping’s.”
“Discord, why are you so obsessed about proving that love doesn’t exist between different species. It makes no sense, everything has a limit.” Cup said.
“Because I am a nice draconesquus. I do nice things.” Discord said like that covered it completely. “You are one of my new friends so I’m going to prove it to you... That thing needs to be purged.”
Cup Cake didn’t say anything more as she slumped down into her chair. There was something else, she knew it. There was something else driving to become so obsessive about such an off the wall subject.
“Let go!” Twilight squeaked.
“OA AY ELL EPPL ACK TO ET OF I amms” (No way, tell Apple jack to get off arms.)
“Let go of me!”
“UCK OA. ITH EE O oo araru our coingin it e” (Fuck no. If I go to Tartarus, you’re coming with me.)
“Twilight is everything alright?” Dash said.
“No he is biting my horn.” Twilight voice raised in a squeak as your lounge rolled over the tip of her horn. “Don’t lick my horn you pervert!”
“IN OT RING OO. PS RD OT TO.” (I’m not trying to, it’s hard not to.)
Twilight struggled to maintain her composure, the warmth texture you’re your tongue pressing against her horn. She had heard rumor of this in the locker room of Canterlot. Mares giving there stallion horns jobs and them receiving one in turn. Even Celestia’s school for gifted unicorns had its secrets.
Twilight though, never had experienced the touch of a man. She was always far too enthralled in her books to give any stallion a first glance. This... was an experience she was not ready for.
It felt like a cool rush of mana was shooting back into her. Each tender stroke of your lounge sent a new found sensation. Each second was a new found bliss that sent a chill down her spine.
“Aaa Applejack, do it now!” Twilight whined.
The bindings were there, just inches away. One click and poof, your gone, Tartarus you go.
“Just do it! I can’t take this much longer.”
Twilight was telling the truth. She was truly a novice in the ways of men. Not even a minute. Several large globs of concentrated mana slid down the back of your throat. Twilight’s wings went stiff, only giving a we little laps as all her nerves rushed to her head as you pushed her beyond the threshold.
It tasted like liquid bubble gum.
“Big Brother what are you doing?”
It was like the world had then dropped on you. It was still a warm summer day and it was about that time. To the young it was a fun day to play out in the sunshine. It took but half a second for your guard to completely shatter.
“Dinky!”
Twilight jumped back the moment your mouth moved. Two globs of pinkish purple mana fell and landed onto your chin and neck.
“Dinky, what are you doing here?” Twilight said as she stumbled forward. Her motor function were still coming back to her from her unexpected… venture.
“Mom said I don’t have school today because I’m going to Canterlot soon, I heard a loud boom and came over.” Dinky said being thorough. “Is big brother ok?”
You wanted to tell the little filly to run for help, you were covered in crazy mares.
“Oh, he will be. Fell and Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack here are helping getting him to a hospital.” Twilight said thinking of the first thing that came to mind.
Dinky though did not like the fact that her favorite big brother was in pain. “Can I help; mom said I’m good at helping?”
“No!” Twilight almost shouted.
“But…” Tears started to form around the fillies’ eyes. She did not like being yelled at.
“It’s nothing to worry about, Dinky. I’m fine.” You hated seeing a mare at any age cry. “Just run along now and I’ll be ok…” you paused for a moment. You needed Dinky. She was your only hope. “Dinky, I know though how you can help me if you want.”
The little fillies ears perked up, she loved her big bother, getting a chance to help him out would have made her day. “How can I help?”
“Twilight here used to go to the school for Gifted Unicorns. Now since I’m running late for work you could be a big help to me if you teleported me to work. I would be very thankful.” You said hoping that this long shot would work.
Twilight smirked, she rarely got to explain magic, and she already knew exactly what he was trying to do. “That feat would be impossible to attempt. Magic comes from inside a pony; he or she must have a strong knack for it to even attempt teleportation. Even more for teleporting other ponies. As for teleportation, the heavier the object the harder it would be for their pony to move the pony from one destination—“
You vanished.
Twilight stood in silence as her lecture was cut off prematurely. “How in the pony world…”
Rainbow dash didn’t say a word as she looked onto her friends. Twilight looked like she was lost in her own mind.
Twilight stood wordlessly as she, herself, had let him slip right through her hooves. The mathematical odd of some pony saving him were out of that world. He had gotten away with it. He even violated her horn. Something she was saving for… well at least her second date with a stallion.
Power.
That was it, it was the simplest answer. She just needed more power. She could have protected her mother, she could have protected herself. She could almost feel herself beginning to teeter over the edge.
“He is a monster,” Twilight’s eyes swallowed. “No… a demon, monsters don’t have malevolent intent.” Even at the point of breaking, she still was a stickler for terminology. Her was voice shallow, and her eyes half lidded. “If only I was a stronger alicorn.”
Alicorn…
It was an idea… that sparked it. Oh what an idea it was. She could get more power, lots more power. Power that would make hers grow indefinably.
“Hehehehehe,” Twilight snicker as her mane started to become undone. Twilight looked up as the cloud overhead had started to come together. She knew what she had to do; it was so simple, so very simple. “I have to stop him.”
A single drop of rain hit the tip of her nose and she vanished.
