Chapter 7 – It’s Friday!

Blaze walked down the stairs into the huge hallway, a place that his parents for some reasons cared very deeply, adorning it with multiple statues and paintings on the walls, for him it was just a room through which he must venture in order to get anywhere else in the house.

Soon enough he arrived in the living room which was connected to the kitchen, his father enjoyed watching his chefs cooking while eating, something Blaze never could really understand.

He walked up to the round old-styled table and sat down, as far from his parents as possible, he started to gobble up his meal which consisted of some first class French toast, orange juice and few slices of apple.

Blaze hoped that maybe he will manage to eat his meal before his parents inevitable speech, but he hoped wrong.

“So Blaze, did you decide what college do you wish to attend to?” His father asked not even looking at him.

Blaze sighed and stopped eating his almost finished meal “No father I did not.”

“And why is that?”

“I don’t know.”

“*Sigh* Blaze you’re in the first class of high school, it’s about time you start thinking about your future, for example your brother knew that he will become a doctor right after he finished middle school.” His father said with a proud tone in his voice emphasizing a word “doctor”.

Blaze narrowed his eyes and returned to his meal trying to finish it as quickly as possible while ignoring his father.

“Blaze honey, we are worried about you.” His mother stated without any kind of emotion in her high voice. “Your grades are very bad and we don’t understand what’s the problem, when your sister was in high school she…”

“Thanks for the meal.” Blaze cut his mother short and stood up quickly not wanting to her anything else about his perfec siblings.

“Blaze where do you think you’re going? We were talking to you.” His father shouted out as Blaze was leaving the room, without even thinking about it he turned around towards his parents and simply stated

“I’m going to school.” With that he left the room and quickly ran through the hallway into his room, where he laid on the bed for a few moments letting one or two tears flow from his eyes.

Soon enough he calmed himself and stood up ready to go to school, as far he disliked the boring lessons he was very thankful that he doesn’t have to be in the house when his parents are present.

Pixel walked casually down the street humming to herself a song that didn’t want to leave her head for quite some time now I can swing my sword sword, cause I am the lord lord As she continued like that she saw her school in the distance and heard something that made her blood freeze.

A school bell ringing.

Pixel started to run like her life depended on it, which was partially true, she was passing house after house as she felt her poor condition showing up, finally she made it to the school gates gasping for air, she was sure she lost one of her lungs.

After few moments she took a one big breath and walked inside, hallways were already empty which made her even more nervous as she once again ran this time towards her classroom, Pixel was about to pass the corner when suddenly she felt a familiar feeling of bumping into someone and soon enough she was on the floor and in front of her laid the same guy she walked into last time.

“You do that on purpose don’t you?” Blaze asked rubbing his forehead as he slowly picked himself up from the floor and offered his hand to Pixel.

“Sorry about that, didn’t mean it.” Pixel stated and accepted his hand, soon enough they were once again standing up last time she didn’t pay much attention to how Blaze looked but now that she was well rested she noticed that…

“Hey you’re shorter than me!”

Blaze flinched not really expecting this kind of comment right now “Yeah emm well, not much I can do about it, besides height isn’t really useful for me.”

Pixel chuckled “Hey did you get some sleep? Cause you still have bags under your eyes.”

“Oh these.” Blaze stated and ran his finger under his eyes “I’m afraid this is a permanent thing.” He said and frowned slightly.

“Hey don’t be like that, I think it looks pretty cool, makes you look older and stuff.”

“Thanks, I guess.” Blaze said confused a bit they stayed like that in an awkward silence for few moments before Pixel broke it.

“Hey Blaze, you’re a gamer right? Do you have steam?”

Blaze formed an almost unnoticeable smile and nodded his head knowing very well where was she going with it “Yeah I do.”

“Great! We can play after school and… Oh crap.” Pixel froze as she remembered something really important.

“Blaze! Sorry we will talk later I totally forgot that I am already late for first lesson, seeyoulaterbye!” She shouted out towards him as she ran down the hallway towards her classroom where math lesson was taking place.

Blaze chuckled and walked towards his own classroom, not really caring about being late that much, he walked inside said that he’s sorry for being late and sat down at his usual place, the lesson was about atomic structure or something but he didn’t care, the only thing he could think of was going back to his house when his parents won’t be there and doing the only thing he’s good at.

Playing games.

And recently whenever he thought about games his mind always wandered off to one certain player he wanted to play against, he still didn’t understand what was so thrilling to play against her, against Pix64 but he knew the answer was laying ahead of him.

First lesson was ended by a loud ringing of school bell, Pixel walked out of the classroom puffing her cheeks in annoyed manner, Night followed her quickly into the hallway.

“Pixel..”

“What?” She asked with a tone of anger in her voice making Night flinch slightly.

“You need to learn these things you know that?” Night asked referring to their math lesson, Pixel was welcomed by her teacher with mathematic problem for her to solve, which of course she couldn’t do.

“I don’t get it! I’m trying to listen to him talking on the lesson but only thing I can hear is “blah blah blah square blah blah blah numbers blah blah…”

“Hey guys what’s up, oh wait let me guess, math lesson?” Icy asked with a smirk walking up to his friends.

“Ha ha, very funny Icy.” Pixel stated not very amused, on the other hand Night was stifling his laugh.

Suddenly Pixel’s phone rang and without waiting she picked it up.

“Hey dad what’s up?”

“…”

“Well emm sure I guess?”

“…”

“Love you too.” Pixel stopped the call and sighed. “Great…”

“What did your father want Pixel?” Night asked both he and Icy being quite curious at the moment.

“He has a day off and wanted to check out CS:GO on my computer, sooo it seems I don’t really have anything to do back at home.”

The three friends stood there for a few moments before Icy felt like a small bulb just lighted up over his head.

“Hey then Pixel, from what I know Night was supposed to go the to Ponyville library and study today, maybe you could go with him? He might teach you math and stuff.” Icy stated proud of himself that he had such an amazing idea, Night on the other hand wasn’t very amused.

“Icy that’s…”

“Great idea!” Pixel cut Night short shouting out with a smile on her face.

“I-It its?” Night asked

“Of course! You said yourself that I need to start learning this stuff and what better way to do that then study with you mr. best grades?” Pixel said with cheerful smile while Night nodded his silent thanks to Icy.

“All right then, I guess we have plans now.”

“Yay!” Pixel added “Oh right, sorry but I really need to use the bathroom, so see you later guys!” Pixel ran away alone, not really understanding while other girls needed to go to the toilet in pairs.

“Thanks again Icy.” Night stated and his athletic friend patted him on his back.

“No problem bro.”
