Chapter 5: Loved Ones' Passing

 

After a while, the group lands in some sort of forest, small and freaky. They all land though Lorcan lands on his tail, making him yelp, "Ouch."

The group got up and looks around. This must be where the Moochick is at. Derpy, as Dinky watch on from her mommy's back, smiles while saying, "Finish what you start, please. Don't forget, human girl thing. You're only a visitor. We have to live here."

"Yeah, we know that." Rarity said with a nod.

"Are we on holiday?" Fred asks a bit confused to the others.

"No, we aren't!"

"And I am not ungrateful! You are now all honorary Pegasus, well those who aren't anyway." Derpy remarks happily as she gave the gang some sort of bracelets.

"So what does this do?" Megan asks Derpy curiously.

"Oh, this allows you to fly without wings...and swim underwater! Press the button and see!"

The gang press a button on a bracelet each, causing wings to appear on those who don't got any. Apple Bloom remarks sarcastically, "Oh, lucky all o' us."

"You will think so once you're under water or in the air. Dinky and I gotta go now. Good luck in stopping the princess!" Derpy exclaims happily as she flies away with Dinky riding her.

Once the gang turns the bracelets off, Alpha Prime comments, "At least you all will know when to use them." Soon two ladybugs appear, not doing anything yet. "Well, come on, we should let Spike know that we're here."

The group heads onward, seeing a Troggle which Lorcan kills instantly. Nyx glances at a nice looking place with a waterfall. She said, "We should go this way."

"I see a ladybug up there." Ed said as he points right at a ladybug on top of the waterfall.

"I got it." Megan said as she goes at the ladybug on top of the waterfall and attacks it. A Troggle is seen waiting on a ledge until Alpha Prime fires a laser, killing it. There appears to be some sort of creature in the water, spitting stuff. "Let's try to be careful when jumping over. We don't want to be spit on by that thing in water."

"Allow me." Lorcan said as he fires a blast at the thing in the water, killing it. The ladybug that Megan thought got dizzy and fell, allowing her Dragon friend to kill it instantly.

"There're some leaves." Scootaloo said upon seeing some leaves.

The group jumps to the first leaf and head to the one near the hanging rope, some swam for it or flew. Upon reaching the rope, they all climb or flew up.

"For ponies, I'm surprised that we can climb stuff." Rainbow mumbles a bit, climbing while the rope is in her mouth.

Once reaching the end of the rop, the group follows a path until they saw a path attacking. Fred remarks, "I got this." The Changeling rolls the dice, causing the Demons to appear and kill off the plant in a fury.

"Here's some Meta Essence, Megan." Sweetie said. Megan touches the essence stuff, refueling her.

The heroes move onward until they found a glowing mushroom. Luna asks curiously, "I wonder what this mushroom does."

"I guess we're supposed to jump on it." Alpha Prime said while observing the mushroom carefully.

"Like 'dis?" Apple Bloom giggles as she and her friends got onto the mushroom and bounce on it, "Wheee!"

"This is fun!" Sweetie and Scootaloo exclaims happily while bouncing on the fun.

"This is not time for fun right now!" Megan exclaims as she saw a rope nearby. "Let us get to that rope and move on!"

The ponies and Dragon got onto the mushroom and jump on it, laughing while getting the hanging of the trampoline. They grab the rope and climb in, getting to the top.

"There's Spike!" Rarity exclaims upon seeing Spike waiting for them nearby. "Come on!"

The gang jumps over to where Spike is at. A ladybug appears to attack but Rainbow got rid of it. They came over it while Nyx exclaims happily, "Spike!"

"Geez, you all took your time in catching up to me." Spike remarks as he hugs Nyx who giggles a bit. "But you all made it."

"Hey come on! What do you mean, you didn't wait for us!" Rainbow exclaims to Spike in annoyance. "Anyway, we got reasons, right?"

"Never mind the reasons. They are useless! Anyway, come on. The Moochick is waiting for us."

"Oh yes, I remember him." Megan said, thinking of her past. "Old, goofy looking, forgetful at times, had a disagreeable smell, all that."

"Is that the case, why do we need him anyway?" Scootaloo ask Spike puzzled.

"No one in Equestria is as wiser as him, as far as we know." Spike explains to the group. "He's the only one who knows what Megan must do to save us. Now follow closely.

Megan and her group nods as they follow Spike who leads the way. Hopefully they can find the Moochick and figure out how to save Equestria. The heroes saw another ladybug coming, making Apple Bloom remark, "Ah done got 'dis one."

Apple Bloom takes the mallet from Megan and hits hte ladybug, killing it. Now the gang fell down to the platforms by the tree, spotting an ant which Alpha Prime kills. Next they jumped onto the rope and jump across, jumping over to the place where the Troggle were at.

"So the Moochick is this way?" Megan asks Spike hopefully.

"Sure is, come on!" Spike exclaims as the group moves onward while following the dragon.

"Do you know why my mother has turned evil, Spike?" Alpha Prime ask Spike seriously. "And what happened to father and the Autobots that went with him?"

"Not sure on both but some sort of darkness were said to be in the area when it happened."

"Suspicious."

Luna spots the ladybugs and the plant attacking, forcing her and her friends to strike it right back. Next, the gang continues on the battle while killing another Plant, Troggle and Ladybug.

Now the group confronts more of the ladybugs which Megan and Lorcan kills before reaching the ledge. Spike looks around in concern while saying, "This is too quiet. Strange, I don't like it." The Dragon saw a clearing up ahead. "Okay, listen, the Moochick is just beyond this clearing. We should sacrifice stealth for speed."

"Right, come on." Lorcan said with a nod as the dragons quickly rush through the clearing.

"Hey, wait for us!" The Changelings exclaims as the group follow after the rushing Dragon.

"Honestly, those two can..." Rainbow was cut off as everyone heard a rumbling sound that made them yelp. "What the hay was that?!"

The group heard another rumbling sound that got closer. The Dragons got closer, making Lorcan ask in alarm, "What the Tartarus is that?!"

"I don't know!" Spike exclaims, not liking the sound of those quakes at all. It's like something big is coming their way.

The foals scream in terror as they saw something coming: a pair of giant pink legs that bounce rapidly. Nyx gasps as she saw the creature who owns them coming closer to Spike and Lorcan, "Spike, Lorcan, look out!"

"Move out of the way!" Spike screams. The baby dragon pushes Lorcan right out of the way, knocking him right into some tall grass...and got stomped right on by the monster.

The group gasps in horror, "Spike!!"

As Lorcan got up and groans, he gasps as the tall figure disappear, revealing the remains of Spike...now dead and crush. The surviving Dragon looks stunned and saddened. Spike is gone...that big monster killed him!

"Spike..." Lorcan said as tears came out of his eyes.

As Twilight teleports in, Megan begins to cry as she fell to her knees, "Why must everyone I loves so violently and unnaturally?! Am I cursed?! Why go on?! I will only hurt others!"

Megan sobs some more as her friends look on in sadness. Twilight on the other hoof spoke up, "There isn't time for self-pity. Evade these savage soldiers and find the Moochick."

"What the buck is wrong with you?! He was your friend! He was..." Lorcan pauses to sniff a bit, "my brother."

"He was just an assistant."

"Ouch." Ed said with a groan of worry. That sounds a bit mean.

"That's...cruel." Fred remarks in agreement.

Twilight, now regretting what she just said, sighs, "Okay. Scratch that. He wasn't just an assistant. He was like my little brother too. But, blast it, we can't just stay here moping in grief. We've lost too many friends already. Hopefully, we'll be able to find a way to fix this mess so that it never happened in the first place. It's our only chance of getting our friends - including and especially Spike, back. In order to do that, we need to defeat Celestia and find out what corrupted her in the first place."

Lorcan calms down a bit while saying, "You're right, Twilight. Blast it, you're right. If we stop Celestia and whatever force corrupted her, we'll have a real chance of getting things back to the way things were before they went bad. That includes bringing back our dead friends as they were before the corruptions."

Twilight disappears from sight, leaving the gang to the dead Spike.

The gang made a grave for Spike, burying him where he was stomped on and paying their last respects. Nyx in sadness said, "He was a good adopted brother to me, helping us whenever we need it. Spike was also loyal to all of us, right to the very end."

"I'm sure no matter what happens, Spike is watching over us." Megan said, patting the saddened Nyx on the head. The Alicorn filly sniffs a little as she put a flower on Spike's grave.

Lorcan glares a bit angrily at Rarity, demanding, "Aren't you gonna say a few words in remembrance to Spike; or are you just going to ignore his death?"

"Lorcan, I know how you-" Rarity begins to say but a pissed off Lorcan cuts her off.

"No, you don't! You never shared his feelings for him. He was devoted to you and you had my little brother wrapped round your hoof. No! No, all you cared about was fashion and absolute none stop whining whenever you see a bit of dirt! And oh, you know how you see yourself as higher class? Wake the buck up! You're in bucking Ponyville! All the high class snobs are in Canterlot!"

"Lorcan, come on!" Megan exclaims to Lorcan, trying to calm him down again. "We..."

"Buck you, Megan!" Lorcan roars furiously to Megan before she could finish. "It's because of you this is all happening! Well, I'm not going to stay with a bitch who should have died with her family. So long, freaks!"

With that, Lorcan storms off, leaving the stunned group behind. Luna calls out, "Lordcan..."

"Don't call me that!"

Luna prepares to go after Lorcan but Alpha Prime stops her with a hoof, saying, "Let him leave, give him time to calm down...we got to find the Moochick. Hopefully his advice can help us avenge Spike's death. We can't let the Dragon's sacrifice be in vain now."

Luna looks down but nods as everyone heads off to find the Moochick. Twilight appear briefly, take one look at Spike's grave and, with a single tear rolling down her cheek, say, "Goodbye, Spike."

Twilight disappears once more. Unknown to her, someone else is watching the scene, saying, "There is one way to save him. Undo all that was evil and all that has been done will return to what is was and the Alicorn with the Gold heart as his cutie mark is waiting for you. Be safe, my dear friend."

Then she is gone in a blink of an eye.

Lorcan fumes as he storms away, mumbling, "I can't believe those buckers...they couldn't save Equestria, let alone Spike! And who is that asshole who took his life anyway?!"

"Oh, do you want to know?" A voice spoke up, making Lorcan startled as he turns to see someone in the shadows. The Dragon glances carefully, seeing who it is.

"You; what do you want?"

"Oh, I'm a friend who is saddened for your loss instead of your so-called other friends and Luna. I know who killed off your little beloved brother."

"How would you know?" Lorcan asks the familiar figure with a scoff. "You weren't there."

"True, but I saw who killed him. I can even take you to her and let you avenge Spike personally." The figure said slyly. Lorcan pauses to think. Spike needs avenging right now...and the scarred Dragon wants payback on the one who took his life.

"Take me to her...so I can end her life right now."

Lorcan's mind is on revenge right now, not noticing or caring that he is turning gray right now...

No. Spike is dead...and Lorcan is turning gray. Who is responsible for either one? And who appears right after Twilight just left? In the next chapter, Megan and friends travels through the forest and meets the Moochick. And to get back to normal, the heroes must destroy the evil Grogar; Also, some more exploration; Read, review and suggest.
