Chapter 6: The Shadows in the Daycare

Meanwhile, while Mickey and Minnie were having a time of their lives back at Xion's house, back in the Caterpillar Room, it was a different story for their friends, as well as terrible.

The day at the daycare has come to an end as the whole place is empty now. It was at the time that all of the children went home. The toys came to life when it was all clear for them to do so.

"Oh Gawrsh, I think I got a kink in slink." Goofy groans off to say in what happened with him.

Willie looks frantically as he looks for his two big boot feet that has fallen off during the carnage. "Aaaah! My feet! Where's my feet, Dugh anyone seen them?" The giant toy asked in being unable to find them as he looks silly without his parts on tight.

Bugs sits up looking dazed while groaning a bit, even a worse for wear Penelope, a sore Porky and a traumatized Daffy were recovering a little bit. We see Iago with glue, glitter and such on himself, stood up on a desk, groans while pulling his cork open, getting a lot of detritus spill out.

"Wow; that must be tough to squeeze that out." Oswald stated in seeing Iago getting what isn't money out.

"You have no idea what!" Iago strains off as he made a Weedle toy pops out before grabbing a familiar plastic wing arm. "Hey! Any Mook needs an arm or a hand?" The toy bank patriot called out.

"I believe Donald or Daisy lost one." Nicole pointed out while she was helping to pulling Spike out of what he were stuck in a giant clay ball. Golden Heart, Pinkamena and Gold Wing, who came out of hiding, were helping the lynx out. "There you three are. Where were you?"

"Meeting up with some old friends." Pinkamena comments as she kept on assisting Nicole.

Now Iago tosses that duck's arm to Donald & Daisy who are recovering from the madness that they themselves had endured. Their parts are jumbled all over each other and they are quickly putting their own parts back from each other and onto themselves: as long as they feel which is which.

"Whack! Where's my nose part of my beak?" Donald mumbles off asking while looking for his own nose.

"Here it is Donald." Daisy sighs in sadness as she gave Donald his own nose beak back.

"Got your arm right here, Daisy....heheheh..." Donald showed the arm that Daisy was missing while making a light laugh out of it.

"Give me that, that's mine." Daisy asked off in wanting her am reattach to her as she was...well, short- handed.

"Hey Daisy, that's my hat." Donald said with a sigh as he took his own sailor hat back from Daisy carefully.

"Wow, I don't recall play time being quite that...roughly insane." Bugs mumbles off to say as he straightens up with his back cracking.

"Brother, those little tykes are rougher than any dangerous and angry animal I had ever come to face!" Daffy remarked off to trying to rub his aching arms.

"An-an-and less trams-ma-ma-z-z-z, it was nerve wrecking!" Porky spoke off in how that was traumatizing for them.

"Oh, look at us, we're a mess." Penelope stated this off in having looked terrible.

"Waaaaaaaaahhhh!" Rarity was heard screaming as she looked at her mane and body, it was all messed up so horribly.

"Wow, someone sure can scream." Golden Heart pointed out in seeing this after he and his sister helped freed Spike.

"Oh dear, this is very tricky stuff." Fluttershy stated in trying to remove the funky stuff off her tail.

"Try dealing wit' 'dis, Ah don't do fancy stuff." Applejack protest in seeing her mess was having dolly clothes on her country appeal, it was embarrassing.

"Ugh, it be a lot easier if or hooves could hold things!" Rainbow Dash complained in seeing they can't hold or remove stuff off themselves easily.

"Or have magic to make it go away." Twilight stated in trying, but failed to remove a bubble gum off her horn.

"Good thing I'm here, I got fingers to help..." Spike stated in being freed to come over to help out...a little bit.

"Dugh; me remember that Tommy would never play with us like that. Dugh, right?" Willie issued off to say just after he found his missing feet and pulls them out from the pegboard.

"Well, we will have to make the best of it." Lola sighs off to say this as she pulls the decaf off Pluto's nose. Of course, deep down, even the girl rabbit misses Tommy, but he's the one who toss most of his toys out, right?

"Uh-uh, no way, those toddlers don't know how to play with us!" Donald protests to complain as he put his sailor hat back on his head, getting himself back together.

"Dugh, even am smart enough to known them kids are too young and don't know any better!" Willie exclaimed to say in agreement, them toddlers don't know how to play with them more carefully.

"As well as sticky, eeeeehhhh!" Iago exclaims this off in disgust as he glances at the glue and stuff all over himself. He say. "Playtime with those kids was a living he..." He was cut off before he could finish...

"Careful, we got to avoid using bad words in this k-rated story!" Pinkie Pie cuts off to the parrot to stop what he almost said.

"Where is TV's Super Nanny when you need her? Kids that are very destructive and really need to be taught right until they are mature enough to play with toys the RIGHT way." Pinkamena issued off in breaking the forth wall to mention this.

"Unfortunately, this daycare doesn't have one. Even if it did, they are too little to understand." Unknown explained this out to the others about developing kids.

"We oughta be put in the Butterfly Room with the big kids!" Daisy Duck exclaimed off this in being upset.

"You got that right!" Donald Duck exclaimed to say in determination, agreeing with his wife.

The other toys agree with what Daisy Duck was saying. They shouldn't be in a room where kids don't know how to take care of them right. The gang should be in the right place where kids know how to do it right and won't be careless.

"You got that right, duck!" Iago exclaimed in determination as well. "Because as far as most of us are probably starting to think, Mickey and Minnie had the right idea of leaving when the getting was good!" The toy bank pointed off in seeing that their other pals may have had the better idea to leave than stay.

"I agree with the parrot, this place is for the birds!" Daffy pointed out to say this.

"Everyone, calm down folks. We will get this madness straighten out. Me and my squad buddies will talk to Scourge about getting us moved to the other room." Bugs said to his friends in assurance of what to do.

"We-we-we will?" Porky asked off surprised to hear that out of nowhere.

"It is the logical choice, perhaps there was an error of our location destination." Nicole pointed out that maybe Scourge's operation of where to place them in the Caterpillar Room was a mistake in judgment.

"Well, he seem like an old hedgehog who's age is catching on to him, maybe he read off that we could be played by kids who know how to treat us." Penelope stated in thinking Scourge didn't know they get abused by the toddler kids here unless they were made to handle such things.

"Perhaps, or maybe there is more to this that we are not seeing." Unknown held his chin to think, could it be a second theory was they were place in this room...by purpose?

"Well whatever the case, Scourge did say that if we need anything, we go to him to talk, right?" Oswald said in knowing they can talk about matters with Scourge to help them if they got problems.

Bugs then climbs up to a table nearby and leaps to the bathroom door knob which should lead to the Butterfly Room. However, he looks surprised as the whole thing won't turn to open; it's locked!

"Drat! This door is locked tighter than Fort Knox! Try that door over there!" Bugs exclaimed in seeing this problem as he moves to a hallway door nearby.

Lola leaps to the hallway door latch and tries to open it, but to no prevail as it was locked too.

"This door is locked here too!" Lola frowns while announcing this state of a door.

Goofy tests the door knob to the playground and got the same result.

"Gawrsh fellas...So does this thing!" Goofy announced off with sad news here.

Bugs drops down to the ground to think of another plan. "Let's try the windows, docs. We could get out in those exits easily, right?" Bugs stated that if doors are out, windows are the second best thing.

We turn to see Daffy, Porky, and Penelope leap up to open the windows...but we're having difficulty even with three action toys strengths to do one.

"Sorry, no way we getting here, Bugs." Iago announces off the issue of a struggle, as he sat on the sill, glancing at a window lock. "It’s a Fenster-Schneckler 380, the finest childproof lock in the world." After their rot said that, Bugs's squad pals gave in from exhaustion.

"Swell, tell us after we tire out!" Daffy remarks this off to Iago's delayed update.

"We're trapped in here!" Daisy exclaim in horror of what this means for them.

"As in trap like prisoners?" Rarity gasped at hearing this before fainting.

"Oh dear!" Fluttershy yelps in feeling that isn't good at all.

"This doesn't make sense, why lock us toys in here?" Twilight pondered off as she, Bugs, and Nicole seem du struck while concern of the question of toys being locked in the Caterpillar Room.

"Maybe it's to keep burglars out?" Applejack suggested here a thought.

"Don't forget child safety of kids leaving the room unsupervised." Pinkie Pie pointed out this random and truthful statement.

"Yet still, this makes no sense. Why lock toys in a room when we been told to have free reign in the daycare?" Nicole looked over the evidence that for what Scourge told them, they can go as they please, but why are the doors and windows locked for?

"Ugh, this whole thing is hurting my brain!" Rainbow Dash held her head, nothing was making sense here.

"Anyone know where Starscream is, I'm sure he can get us an audience with Scourge?" Bugs asked looking around.

"He ran out of room before it was shut close for the night, no doubt he is needed elsewhere." Nicole said explaining she saw the jet Transformer sneak out of the Caterpillar Room before.

While Bugs was thinking, he looks up and notices something. "Wait, guys! Anyone notice the transom?" Bugs spoke off in noticing something to exclaim this out.

"Uh, transform?" Willie asked off a bit puzzled while saying the word wrong from misunderstanding. The others look up and saw what Bugs just saw: atop the hallway door is an open transom. The gang could get out that way but one problem remains.

"Oh terrific! How will we get up there? Fly? We're toys!" Donald complains in annoyance in seeing there was no way small toys can reach that.

Bugs narrows his eyes in determination, trying to think up a plan. That's when he hatch something.

"Looney Tune squad, huddle up, time to begin operation: Escape Trap Room Maneuver 62!" When Bugs said that plan, Penelope, Daffy and Porky were a bit surprised since they know the routine, but will it work?

"I trust you have a solution." Unknown stated off in being nearby to hear the rabbit space toy had a way to get out.

"Yep...listen Unknown, can you watch the gang here till we get back?" Bugs nods his head while asking this guy stay and keep an eye on this, in case they are delayed.

"Of course..." Unknown nods his head in understanding the idea, he'll go if he needs to, but for now, he shall stay to look after the others.

"Okay boys and girl, let's do this." Bugs smiled off in seeing it's time that they pull off a toy escape stunt to knock a few socks off.

A while later, Bugs' team and the group hold the Fisher Price Corn Popper with Bugs himself at the rear, holding a loop of red yard around his chest. That same yarn was tied to Penelope, Porky and Daffy. The Plan was to get the space rabbit and his space pals to be launch towards the transom. Once up there, they can drop the yard to their plans to let them climb out.

"Okay, guys. This is it. On the count of three." Bugs issued off to instruct his friends carefully. "1, 2..."

"3!" Lola exclaim quickly in jumping the gun.... The toys soon took off quickly, pushing the popper at top speed. "Let go now!"

The toys soon drop away, leaving Bugs to jump onto the handle with his trio buds pulling their own weight. And at the right time as the thing hits an upturned table, sending Team Bugs right into the air. Bugs grabs the string that runs across the room, using it as a zip line. Penelope did the same, Porky and Daffy bumbled before sharing one together, the gang zips down past some drawings including a picture of Bart Simpson.

Bugs soon reach the end and leaps off, expanding his wings to fly towards a bunch of hanging paper-Mache caterpillar on display. Penelope followed the same trick, Daffy and Porky had to watch themselves to keep their tied members from failing this task. With the help of those things' legs, Bugs himself swing from one to another, so did his team.

"Alright you Mooks, jump now!" Iago gave out the orders to Lola, Pluto, and the pony group, giving the signal to them.

Lola, Pluto and the pony pals jumps off nearby a shelf to catapult a broom forward which bugs and his team managed to bounce off of, sending space rabbit towards the transom. The Bugs flips, twists and lands safely. Penelope followed the same routine to land gracefully, while Porky and Daffy either try to flip or bounce off another, in the end, they crash land near their pals. The others below were seen cheering wildly. Their friend has made it!

"Dugh, oh boy! Bugs and other space toys has done it!" Willie exclaim wildly in seeing Bugs and his team made it.

"Good work, Bugs!" Lola exclaim with a smile, her love has done it.

"Hey, where are our praises?" Daffy asked off in feeling annoyed.

"Never mind that, we have work to do." Penelope pointed out in what they need to do here.

"Alright docs, let's get this plan going." Bugs issued off to say, as begins casting part of his yarn down to the toys who run and get it as he turns to the hallway, preparing to jump down on the other side of the doorway, from Penelope, Daffy, and Porky here, their weight and balance will make this go smoothly.

"Um Bugs, wha-wha-what's that?" Porky stops to notice something strange.

Soon the Looney Tunes squad stops and saw something suspicious.

In the hallway down below, Taz and Rhino were walking by, unaware of what's going on nearby.

"Hey, you think these bums have 'fun' with their 'playtime'?" Rhino asked off this question here in a shorty way.

"Taz think the kids gave them what they 'wanted'!" Taz laughs stupidly between his animal Tongue.

Both of them were laughing at their jokes until something was made to quiet them down.

"Oh, oh, Ssssh, we keep quiet! You want them to hear you?" Taz yelps to hush the Rhino in knowing they need to be quiet around here.

Bugs and his team frowns in suspicion. Something tells rabbit, cat, pig and duck, that Rhino and Taz knows something that Tommy's toys don't know. Course that was pushed aside when the space toys heard giggling, making Bugs group turn to see Newt and Minerva Mink at the Butterfly Room door, saying goodbye in their cute way.

"Okay, now you start." Newt said to Minerva Mink happily and lovingly to the girl.

Minerva Mink giggles happily, as she loves doing this! "I..." She begins to start off here...

"...love..." Newt went ahead to say this next one.

"...you." Minerva responded to fins in that sentence.

"Ha, see? I said 'love' that time!" Newt exclaim happily. He loves this goodbye to his new girlfriend. "Now this time, let me go first!" Bugs, Daffy and Porky do their best to keep their mouths close...just to keep from laughing and being heard by the toys outside the room.

"Boys." Penelope rolled her eyes in seeing her pals were not getting e picture of how their mink friend has found love at long last and it was cute and sweet how they take their enjoyment of their romance.

"Right, right, right!" Minerva Mink giggles happily, waiting Newt to start the next round of goodbyes.

"I..." Newt spoke the first letter here.

"...love..." Minerva Mink started off the next thing.

"...you!" Newt exclaim with a smile in finishing that sentence. "Ha! See what I mean? Oh, the goodbye changes every time one of us starts off." Newt stated in how things change.

"You are so smart, even for a newt." Minerva Mink exclaim with a big smile at her lover guy.

Just then, Taz and Rhino were passing by with the Tasmanian Devil grabbing Newt while remarking this. Come on, Romeo! We're late!" Taz spoke off in knowing they got a Guys thing going on.

"I will wait up for you, my love!" Minerva Mink smiled off to wave goodbye in knowing the newt was going out somewhere.

"Kisses!" Newt exclaim lovingly to Minerva Mink as he left with his pals, the girl toy smiles before heading back into the Butterfly Room itself.

No doubt about it, something suspicious is going on here and Bugs along with his space pals are going to find out what. Using the red yard, Bugs rappels down into the hall, landing on the floor below followed by his team. Bugs had to unfortunately, untie the yard itself and rush down the hallway, reaching the Teacher's Lounge where he saw Taz, Rhino and Newt's group entering and entering in precaution.

Afterwards, Bugs then glances as Newt, Rhino and Taz approach a vending machine. The newt toy opens the bottom flap to let himself and his pals inside the thing. Bugs frowns and walks to the machine for a closer look as he signals his team to come when it's clear.

Suddenly, a strange cow 'moo' sounds come is heard from the vending machine, making Bugs and pals look confused. Did that machine just did that?

"Oh my, do they have cows?" Porky asked of worried here.

"Don't ask me if they have pork or ducks on the menu." Daffy stated off to say this off.

"Wait, what's that above?" Penelope pointed off in noticing this strange thing.

Bugs group looks around before they look up, spotting shadows of what were Newt and the rest of his gang via some light coming from the glowing vending machine.

Soon a rooster crow is heard followed by muffled laughs and such. There must be a hidden room behind that vending machine. Bugs pointed to his team as they approach the thing, the voices from beyond can be heard. "Right, all right! Let's go again!" Some voices are heard, as those far away listen in.

Bugs push open the dispenser flaps and climbs in into the machine itself followed by his pals. They soon hears a pig oink loudly followed by laughs and groaning noises. The Looney Tunes team climbs up rows of candy bars, potato chips and other treats until reaching the top where the light's at before going towards it.

Now sneaking towards the light some more and found it coming from indeed a hidden room where Newt's group is at a table as if playing a game of Poker or something.

"Place your bets, guys, any splits! Okay, here we go!" Newt exclaimed to say as he and his pals throw batteries, Monopoly money, any items that they want to gamble with into the pot.

Ursula smirks off proudly as she pulls the cord onto a Farmer said toy, causing the arrow to spin. The gang roots wildly for their bets. "Come on, duckie, duckie/Big pig, big pig/Turkey, give me the turkey!" Their voices were mix of which animal they were betting on to make the call.

"Wh-wh-what is this?" Porky asked off in seeing this.

"It's gambling, sure, but different." Daffy pointed off in seeing this.

"I got it, they're betting which sound comes next; it’s like a kiddy version of betting a ball to land on black or red." Bugs stated in having figured out what Newt and his pals are doing here: they're betting on what farm animal noises that the toy itself will make next. The winner is the one whose noise is heard here.

Newt waves his hands over the table to quiet his pals down while saying this. "No more bets, enough!" It was time to find out who was gonna win the bet.

Soon the spinning arrow stops on 'duck' causing a voice from the toy to call out: "Here is a duck that goes 'quack, quack'!"

"Oh yeah, come to mama baby!" Ursula laughs as she grabs the pile of money. The other groans in defeat in having picked the opposite animal.

"Okay Ursula wins the hands. Now then, minimum bet, five Monopoly, everyone. The toy coyote's wild. Changing two doubles AAs!" Newt orders off to issue this off as he changes money during the game. "So how about those new recruits? Any keepers that we can put in the Butterfly Room?" During this ordeal, the toy turn the subjects to the new toys they got.

"Ha, those bums? They're disposable!" Bender laughs insensibly over the fact about the new toys.

"Bah, nothing but landfill, the toy's graveyard!!" Ursula scoffs a bit.

"Yeah, coming from you, Ursula, I would understand." Newt said with a nod on the subject. "So how about the rabbit girl? The giant guy?" He was asking off in recalling the different toys they got.

"Toddler crud!" Taz scoffs as the gang begins making bets once more.

"That girl is too wild and that Giant toy is nothing but a scaredy cat! Who needs them for our room?" Bender pointed out the flaws of Lola and Willie.

"Fine, I can take a hint. How about that space rabbit toy? He could be useful. Plus those space guys of his, the duck, pig, and cat?" Newt pointed off in thinking those toys could make a difference.

Bugs reacts in concern, the others were also puzzled. To them, it sounds like the toys are deciding on which one of them or their pals are good enough for the Butterfly Room. Something's suspicious is going on here.

"Hee hee. He ain't the sharpest knife in the...uh, place that knives are held." Rhino snorts while trying to think up where the knives in the kitchen go.

"No offense, Rhino, but you aren't so smart either." Bender teases Rhino while laughing a bit. "Hey, what about that hooded guy, and I ain't stating Hooded, that unknown fella?" Bender asked off another toy that they should think about now.

"Well, if he's something like Hooded, he might be unknowingly useful. Plus the Lynx girl seems capable of accessing systems." Newt stated in thinking Unknown looks important even as he looks mysterious, plus Nicole the Lynx has a special talent that could be helpful.

"Bugs, what do you think this is about?" Penelope asked in not liking this one bit.

"Shhhh, let's ears drop more to find ourselves." Bugs quieted Penelope so they can hear more.

"How about you Starscream? Think we have any keepers in that lot?" Ursula asked at the jet Transformer.

"Well...I will admit...maybe the lynx toy though I think she will not go along with us but I agree the space rabbit may be good one to have as a more effective enforcer." Starscream said thinking.

"By the way, those three toys, the two golden ones and the Pinkie with the flat mane, they remind me of three previous escaped toys." Newt said looking at him.

"Well just cause they look like them doesn't mean they are, they could be different ones." Starscream said shrugging.

"Guess you're right." Newt said nodding and understanding the possibility.

"Hey Newt, you got yourself a little keeper, eh?" Taz stares at an elbows to the cases Newt has got going for him, much to the latter's annoyance. "You and Minerva are hitting it off though we didn't decide if we wanted to keep her yet. Keeping the good ones for yourself?"

"Hey, shut up, Taz! Minerva is different!" Newt hissed at Taz angrily. For what he was saying, he hates it when his pals tease him other something like the guy making love to a girl from his toy series.

"Look at Mr. Softy over there." Ursula chuckles in amusement at Newt, annoying him some more.

"Hugh yeah, what do you expect from a girls toy?" Rhino laughs a bit to point out this harsh blow.

Newt stands up angrily at what he was called. "I'm not a Girls toy, I'm not! Why must you guys keep calling me that? I don't even look like a Girls toy!" Newt snaps off to protest in being addressed like that.

"Awww, who cares, eh?" Taz remarks off to say, he sits back in his chair while putting his arms around his head. "All those toys are disposable. If we're lucky, they will last us a week!" The guy pointed off this factor of how long the new toys last them.

Bugs reacts in concern some more, just as the others did. Sounds like they are in that Caterpillar Room on purpose...and these guys are deciding which ones goes into the Butterfly Room and which ones ends up being tortured by those destructible kids!

"Okay, found out who's messing with us, can we go now?" Daffy asked off that off in what they learn, this could be bad.

"Ye-ye-s-s, yes we should warn the others." Porky issued in seeing they need to leave.

Bugs was about to turn to go and inform his friends, but bumps into a familiar big baby who glares at him, very cranky and upset.

"Uh oh, Big Fat Baby." Penelope yelps in seeing they woke a baby from his rest.

"Mother..." Daffy yelped in seeing this will be bad.

"Uh, hey, this isn't the Caterpillar Room!" Bugs exclaims, trying to make up an excuse for being here. "Uh, I was just leaving."

The gang's game got interrupted when Big Fat Baby tosses Bugs and his team right onto the table, startling them. Realizing that these toys are out of the room, they grab the space rabbit and his team to keep them down.

"Well, look at who's out of his room." Newt remarks with a sinister grin on his face. "Now what shall we do with you?" He asked this off of what to do with eavesdroppers.

"Let us go doc! Cease this at once!" Bugs exclaimed off to say as he struggles in the gang's hold. Newt narrows his eyes between the struggling space toys. This group with Bugs must've overheard the group's conversion. Something must be done with him.

"Take him to...the Library." Newt gave the order of where to take this group of troublemakers.

"Es-escu-us-us, come again?" Porky raised an eyebrow in what they heard.

"In short, that's where we take nosy toys that know too much." Newt explained this off here for this group to get the picture.

"Nooooooo!" Bugs was heard screaming in protest and horror, same with Daffy, Penelope, and Porky before they are each soon muffled by a sock puppet pulled right over their heads. Things go dark as no one knows what will happen to these brave space toys next...

Yikes! Bugs and his group has been captured! Not good. In the next chapter, as Mickey and Minnie's new friends decide to help them, get home, Scourge makes an offer to Bugs...which the rabbit cannot used, causing the green hedgehog to change Bugs and his squad's POV. And when Tommy's toys find out that the truth of what their owner wanted to do, they wish to check out but standing in their way is Scourge and his crew...including Bugs and his squad! Read, review and suggest!
