Chapter 9: The Next Plan

Boris looks displeased as he kick the door down in his lair in anger. The villain found out that his men has failed in the kidnapping...and to make matters worst, the ones who stopped them...were the same idiots that he chose to be Rarity's bodyguards in the first place!

"Okay, now I got a problem!" Boris scowls angrily. "Those idiots are apparently tougher than I give them credit for!"

The Diamond Dogs are being punished by being hung out to dry...literally! Brian is hanging the three on a line. Rover looks up and ask his boss, "Right, so?"

"So stop hanging around, you mutt!" Boris yells furiously, making them all yelp a bit. "Okay, change of plans. We're going to have to do the switcheroo tomorrow night at the opera!"

The poster is seen once more...and as before more singing is heard. Boris looks at it then groans. That little song is starting to be a bit irritated.

"Okay, annoying." Boris mumbles a bit. He turns his attention back to the Diamond Dogs. "Listen up, getting the princess will be difficult so I think it's time we take those little annoyances off one by one. We will start with the extras and the dumb pink one!"

Boris yanks the Diamond Dogs off the line, causing them to fall onto one another. They groan in pain: that hurts!

It was nighttime the next night as the new musketeers are on guard duty. After what happened earlier, they can't afford to let what happened to Rarity happen again.

Pinkamena's Senses go off as she says, "I fear Boris is ticked and is now planning to take out us one by one and I think.................we are his first target and we might not be able to get away."

"I see." Golden Heart said seriously. He and his sister must work to figure out how to escape for the time being. The Alicorn looks around and sees a sewer cover. "Sister, there's a manhole; make a run for it. I am right behind you."

Pinkamena dashes into the manhole as Golden Heart's horn glows. It makes a real life Golden heart and Pinkamena and he gets into the manhole."

"I made clones of us but they will not last or long but long enough to outsmart Boris." Golden Heart explains to Pinkamena.

"Good thinking, let's go." Pinkamena said as they dash though the underground along with Gold Wing.

Rarity is in night clothes, smiling happily as she draws a doodle of herself with Spike and what she believes would be their kids. Twilight is using magic to assist her princess with her mane.

"Ah...Rarity and Spike the Dragon." Rarity said thoughtfully. He then gasps in realization. "Say, Twilight! He's purple and I got a purple like mane and tail! It got to be destiny."

"Yes, must be." Twilight said with a shrug. "At least I'm glad it doesn't control my life."

"What makes you say that, darling?"

"Well, check me out. If destiny does control my life, I'd be stuck with Mr. Pony with a Female Name."

The two mares giggle a bit while Twilight did an imitation of Ben. Rarity stops giggling to speak, "Geez, darling. I thought you said that he was cute earlier."

Twilight sighs, saying, "I still do...but unless he can somehow get rid of his problem of being scared and stand up for himself...Ben won't be much of a colt-friend to be with."

And this time, Applejack found Rainbow Dash when on her way to the kitchen. After leaving Spike's group, AJ wanted to get started with her new assignment and see about meeting her old friend and talk about lucky here.

"Rainbow Dash, there ye are!" Applejack called out that earn the attention of the pegasus pony.

"AJ! Woah, what are you doing here?" Rainbow Dash replied surprise, what's her pal form the country side doing here.

"Ah just got be given a good approval by her highness fro' 'de rescue Ah aided wit' her new bodyguards." Applejack stated in letting Rainbow know of how she managed to get her after aiding Spike's group in rescuing princess Rarity.

"Rescue? We weren't told of any kidnappings." Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow in hearing this as something unusual.

"Hugh? Really, them new guys, Spike, Pinkie, Ben, an' even Golden Heart & Pinkamena reported 'ta dat there captain Boris." Applejack spoke off puzzled, the new bodyguards report the issue to Boris since it's apart of the musketeer job to report anything of suspicious activity.

"And I'm telling you, when the captain order all us musketeers for a report matter, that never came up and we were told to fan out around the border of the opera show tonight." Rainbow Dash exclaimed that when she and other musketeers were assemble, that kidnap manner wasn't reported in like it never happened while being told to spread their numbers thin across France.

"Hmmm, light security fer de opera, an' 'de princess is going tonight wit' all o' Equestria attendin'? Somethin' smells down right nasty." Applejack hummed to herself in finding all this strange, less guards when the princess is at an opera house for all the citizens to be their and to hear any important news; and even more so, Boris didn't tell the experience musketeers about what happen, this was all downright fishy.

"Yeah, Boris always seem like a shifty guy, but never questioned him for fear of being fired from the job." Rainbow Dash shrug off her shoulders in stating this fact about her captain.

"Then come on, let's find de others an' get 'ta de bottom o' 'dis!" Applejack insisted that the two get a move on to figure out what the hay is going on around here.

Soon AJ & Rainbow Dash were rushing down the hallway, having a feeling there was something going on and that Boris was leaving them in the dark. And worst might be of what could play out by tonight.

It's so happens that Pinkie was guarding the door, looking around suspiciously while saying, "Hup, 2, 3, 4,. Hup, 2, 3, 4. Why am I'm the only one here saying 'hup, 2, 3, 4'? It's funny saying 'hup, 2, 3, 4'. Why is Lorcan appears out of character in some of the author's stories, 'hup, 2, 3, 4'. One of his friends imagined him to be something else, 'hup, 2, 3, 4'."

Suddenly Pinkie hears the door creaking open, making her yelp while saying, "Yikes, bad guys!" The mare got her sword out and stood in attention. "Okay, who goes there?!"

Just then, the pink pony saw a shadow of a familiar Dragon. 'He' begins to speak rather squeakyish, "Hey there, musketeers."

"Oh, hey Spike!"

"That's right! Yeah, I am in need of your assistance!"

"Wait a minute...what are you doing here?" Pinkie ask Spike puzzled. Her friend is supposed to be on guard in another part of the hallway nearby. "And what's with your voice? You sound like a balloon. I love balloons!"

"Oh, well, I ate some peanut butter." 'Spike' said quickly to Pinkie. "Got some more where that is."

"Oooh, peanut butter! Let me have some, let me have some!"

Pinkie dashes off in excitement. She wants so much to have some peanut butter. It was during this time that Applejack and Rainbow shows up, them having found Golden Heart and Pinkamena (or what they think was them anyway).

"Hey, Pinkie! What's going on?" Applejack calls out to Pinkie in concern.

"Right, get back here!" Rainbow exclaims as she and her group chases after Pinkie. Glancing to Golden Heart and Pinkamena, the Pegasus pony snaps, "And you could at least speak up more. You aren't mimes!"

Pinkie kept on following the shadow as she and the others follow after it. 'Spike' appears, saying happily, "Hey, over here!" They quickly follows the shadow, unaware that they're leading the palace. Once outside, Pinkie's group looks around for the Shadow that appears in an alleyway. "Hey, Spike! Follow me!"

The group saw the shadow and follows it into the alley. But have they realize it before, the good guys would've realized that the shadow was being made by Brian who is making shadow puppets near a lamp, chuckling cruelly. This is one way of getting rid of dumb musketeers and a few extras.

Brian speaks in Spike's voice, "Hey. Guys, you are almost there."

The group catch up to the shadow, only to end up stopping at an alleyway. Rainbow frowns in concern, saying, "Don't like this. I feel like this is a trap."

"Right. What kind o' pony would fall fer 'dis?" Applejack remarks to Rainbow in annoyance.

"Hey, Spike! Where are ya, buddy?" Pinkie ask, looking around much to her friends' chagrin. "I want some of that yummy peanut butter that makes you sound funny!"

"Never mind."

Suddenly, the group saw a huge shadow appearing, causing them to turn around...only for them to be knocked unconscious by a huge mallet held by Brian, sending the ponies right to the ground.

Brian grins evilly while saying, "Let's see...five down...only 2 more to go. Ha ha ha ha!"

Oh no! Pinkie, Applejack, Rainbow, Golden Heart and Pinkamena (well, clones anyway) are captured! In the next chapter, Ben finds out about Boris's evil plot and warns Spike...then runs out, leaving the Dragon to face the villain by himself. It doesn't look good. Read, review and suggest.
