Chapter 6: The Kidnapping Plot

Boris leaves the throne room, humming to the tune of 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' Yes, everything is going as the way that the villain wants it to be and no way would any pony messes this up for him now!

Buster was watching him leave, looking concerned as he spoke, "Not good. Whenever a villain is happy like that, that can mean only one thing." The bunny took out a huge tuba, "Time for a bad guy song, toonsters!"

Buster blew on the tuba loudly while Boris slams the door to his office evilly. He begins to dance while singing.

Boris: I was born to cheat and lie;
I’m a mean rotten guy.
When you ask me why I’m nasty,
Here’s my reason why

Boris laughs sinisterly while pointing to a picture of a mare whose face was covered.

At that stork delivery mommy screamed,
"Woe is me, suck a dork!
Hey Mr. Stork, behold my misery,
Boris is nasty, Boris is a snob
Boris is a nasty, naughty slob!"

Boris then jumps into the seat behind his desk and push a button. The chair then begins carrying him through an underground passageway which leads to his secret lair.

Can it sister, I’m the mister
Who will get the job!

Boris reaches the bottom of the ride before he got off his chair, which sprang back to his office all by itself. The evil villain got into a cart, riding it through a series of roller coaster tracks, singing some more.

So I’m nasty, I’m no good;
I’ll be king, knock on wood!
I’ll impress ya though I’m just a common-lowly hood. Ha!
If you can’t be loved, be feared.
Don’t get shoved, sheep get sheared.
Be the king, pull the strings
Or else you might get smeared!
I’m so happy I could dance.
Seize my chance, I’ll advance.
Come and cheer me, love and fear me,
Boris is king of Equestria! Ha! Ha!

Boris then arrives at the end before getting out of the cart. He then got into a rope bucket which is tied to two buckets of bricks that rise up and lowers himself down to his secret lair.

Brian was waiting for his boss at the bottom. Upon arrival, Boris take his hat from his second in command while saying, "Evening, my trusting second in-command. Oh, and watch out for the bricks."

"Bricks," Brian ask Boris confused. When the villain got out of the bucket, it shot upward fast, causing the other buckets with the bricks to come down fast, much to Brian's notice's too late. "Oh horse feathers..."

Boris paid no attention to the slam of the buckets landing on Brian as he got into his chair, ripping off his uniform; The villain sings, unaware that the tuba playing has stopped.

Come and cheer me, love and fear me,
Boris is king of Equestrrrrria!

Of course, Boris finally realizes that the music has stopped. He looks confused while asking, "Wait, where's the music?"

"Song's over Boris the Animal," Plucky's voice is heard, much to Boris's annoyance.

"It's just Boris!" Boris grumbles as he goes over to the Pit. The Diamond Dogs are still in there, doing some stuff to keep themselves busy. Rover is making a crude drawing that makes Boris looks silly, Fido was playing a game of jacks and Spot was reading 'Diamond Monthly'. Of course, they stop what they're doing upon their boss overshadowing them, "Hey, boys."

The Diamond Dogs quickly hide what they're doing with Rover erasing his picture quickly, Fido eating his ball and jacks and Spot sneezing on the magazine before hiding it on his person. Boris rolls his eyes. This isn't the first time his goons tries to hide what they're doing behind his back.

"If you boys aren't doing anything right now, would you spare the time to go snatch a princess?" Boris asks his minions in amusement.

"Sure, your most evilsome," Rover remarked, checking his watch, "Whenever we can."

"Well, stop dawdling and do so now! The opera's tomorrow night!" Boris reminds his minions as he points to the poster...which causes opera music to be heard signing once more. The villain looks oddly at it then shakes it off. Boris turns to the Diamond Dogs while adding, "So the job got to be done by then. Got it?"

"But what can we do?" The Diamond Dogs ask their boss pathetically.

"Easy. Just grab her, even Twilight if she's with her as long as you handle her gently, find a remote tower that no one will ever think to rescue her from, and lock the princess away forever so that no one would even find her! You got all that?!"

"Sure, boss, no problem. We're going!"

The Diamond Dogs quickly rush off to do the master's plan. They cannot mess this up this time or Boris will have their heads and their diamonds! Boris of course is confident that these mutts won't mess up again.

After all, Boris did pick the best losers to be the bodyguards, right?

The new 'musketeers' are escorting Rarity and Twilight in a carriage throughout the peaceful meadow. During this time, Pinkie and Pinkamena were leading the non-talking horses with the former reading a book that reads 'Musketeering for Ponies'. Spike, Ben and Golden Heart are in the back, keeping an eye on the two mares inside the carriage itself.

"Wow, isn't this musketeering stuff awesome?" Spike asks his friends with a smile; So far, no attacks.

"Right, but we best to keep an eye out." Golden Heart said seriously. "We don't know when an attack is going to strike again."

Rarity and Twilight was eating some food while enjoying their carried ride. Rarity swallow her food while giggling, "Twilight, isn't this romantic; Being protected by a couple of dashing musketeers. And that baby Dragon? Oh, he is so cute."

"Well, Spike looks fine too...and cute I agree. But aren't you forgetting something?" Twilight ask Rarity in concern. "They are musketeers, commoners, no-college bound. Plus, Spike is not a pony. You know what that means, right?"

"As in...our love is forbidden?!"

"Yes, that is the case."

Twilight drank her tea using her magic to life her cup. Rarity pauses in curiosity, thinking about what her friend just said. Then with a happy smile, she asks, "A forbidden love? Oh yes, that is romantic!"

Yes, things are going slowly...but no one even notice three figures waiting on a branch ahead of them. And by the time that the carriage passes under it, the Diamond Dogs lands on the roof with evil smirks, much to the notice of the ones in the back.

"Diamond Dogs," Golden Heart exclaims in alarm at the Diamond Dogs.

"Diamond Dogs," Ben ask in alarm and fright upon seeing the Diamond Dogs.

"Diamond Dogs," Pinkie yelped in surprise. She ends up whipping the horses, causing them to neigh loudly and making them run faster, causing the carriage to speed up like mad.

Pinkamena keep her hold onto the rail tightly and safely, calling out eagerly, "OOOOOH YEAH! RIDE 'EM, COWPONIES!"

"Yikes, whoa, not good," Spike exclaims, keeping his hold onto the carriage.

Ben gave a nervous chuckle as he saw the Diamond Dogs glancing at them. The musketeer should do something. But Rover smirks evilly as he spoke to the frightened stallion, "Boo."

Ben screams in terror as he quickly dash into the carriage, hiding under Twilight's couch, much to her and Rarity's shock and alarm. What is he doing?! Ben is supposed to keep the two mares safe!

Back outside, Spike and Golden Heart fights off the Diamond Dogs. The baby Dragon calls out to the two ponies up front, "Pinkie, Pinkamena! Give us a claw or a hoof here!"

"Well, we're kinda busy!" Pinkamena exclaims, struggling to get the horses under control as well as sitting down properly. This whole thing is getting way out of control.

"What?" Pinkie asks confused. She turns and gasps as the pink pony saw the Diamond Dogs fighting her friends with Ben still in hiding inside the carriage. Pinkie jumps onto the carriage to help Spike and Pinkamena. "Not in the script but I wanna help out!"

"En guarde," Spike exclaims, holding his sword out at the bad guys in determination.

"En guarde; I hate French words!" Spot scowls angrily at Spike.

Spot in fury swung hard at Spike and Golden Heart, trying to hit them. The Diamond Dog manages to knock Spike's fencing sword before slashing several swipes at him. This causes the baby Dragon's clothes to fall off, revealing his usual self.

"Always love the classic." Spike remarks to the camera. He quickly pulls out another musketeer outfit and puts it back on. Golden Heart taught his hat right back. "Thanks, Goldie."

"This battle isn't over yet." Golden Heart said seriously. These Diamond Dogs are obviously after the princess.

The carriage kept on driving fast, making it hard for the good guys to keep on fighting the Diamond Dogs who got the drop on them. Back inside, Ben was trying to stay inside while Twilight and Rarity is trying to shove him back outside. The stallion got a duty to perform!

"Come on, Ben! Get out there and fight!" Twilight exclaims to Ben in annoyance.

"I can't go out there, I can't!" Ben exclaims to Twilight in fear.

"Come on, you're a musketeer! You must do something!"

Back on top of the fight, Spike, Golden Heart and Pinkie kept on fighting Spot and Fido. Meanwhile, Rover smirks evilly as he lands in the seat next to Pinkamena who manages to get herself balanced.

"Any chance you've seen any bad guys around here?" Pinkamena ask curiously while looking around.

"Got you one, right now," Rover chuckles sinisterly as he took a camera out and push a red button.

Without warning, a boxing glove came out of the camera's lens, hitting Pinkamena and sending her right off the carriage. The Pinkie lookalike yelps in surprise as she roll down a hill a lot of times. That was not nice!

"Ooh, that looks like fun!" Pinkie exclaims, seeing what's happening to Pinkamena. "But shouldn't she be driving?"

"She was driving!" Golden Heart exclaims to Pinkie in concern. "Those dumb Diamond Dogs pushed her off!"

"Ooh, pink pony, here's a cupcake!" Fido remarks evilly, tossing a cupcake over to Pinkie.

"Oooh, a cupcake," Pinkie exclaims, jumping up to catch a cupcake...but while she does so, Fido quickly hit her, sending the mare right into Golden Heart and knocking the two musketeers right off the musketeers.

"Pinkie, Golden Heart!" Spike exclaims in alarm and worry.

Suddenly Rover grabs Spike and kicks him from behind, knocking him off the ride. The Diamond Dog leader taunts evilly, "Bye bye, dumb Dragon; Ha ha ha!"

Ben was finally forced out of the carriage to participate in the fight. Upon getting to the top, he saw what happened, making him gasps, "Oh no!" To make matters worse, he turn and saw Rover facing him again. Ben points his sword out in hopes to fight the enemy off. That causes the Diamond Dog to chuckle as if asking 'you're kidding me, right'?

"Ahem...boo."

Ben screams in terror. Without a second thought, the stallion got a suitcase out and jumps in before tossing himself right to where his friends are at. Anything than facing these crazy scary Diamond Dogs!

Pinkamena kept on rolling down a hill before she lands in a mud pit. The flat mane pony groans a bit then saw Pinkie hitting the ground, right onto her. The pink pony giggles, "What fun! Can it get any better?"

To answer her question the hard way, Golden Heart and Spike lands right onto the pink ponies, knocking them all into the mud. Spike was about to get up but then the suitcase that Ben tossed himself in hits him in the face.

Spike was dazed but soon snaps out of it. He exclaims, "Princess Rarity!"

"Help me, Spike! Help," Rarity is heard crying out from the carriage. The evil Diamond Dogs laughs as they drove the carriage until it disappears from the sight. Spike tries to get out of the pit but it was too late. He looks down before sliding back into the pit.

"Oh great; what now; How can we save the princess now?"

"You're kidding right? Forget it!" Ben groans to Spike as he got out of the suitcase in despair. "It's hopeless, we are all failures!"

"Hopeless; Failures," Pinkie ask in sadness, causing her own mane and tail to fall flat. She shed a tear then sobs a bit.

"Oh, come on, Pinkie. Here, blow." Pinkamena said as she gave a hanky to Pinkie. The pink pony took the hanky and wipes her tears away. Regardless, the sad Pinkie kept on crying. The heroes had blown their mission as the bodyguards to the princess. Some musketeers they are!

"So...what do we do now?"

"Come on, stop crying, Pinkie." Golden Heart said gently to Pinkie. "I mean, we can turn this around."

"Hey, Golden Heart is right. I don't think we're hopeless." Spike said in determination. He wipes the mud off of himself. This Dragon isn't about to give up without a fight. "Anyway, Boris is counting on us!"

"I don't know. Boris sounds suspicious."

"Come on, Boris is counting on all of us."

"Wait, he does?" Pinkamena ask Spike puzzled.

"Sure, he does!" Pinkie exclaims eagerly as she calms down, her mane and tail inflate to the usual puffiness again.

"After all, didn't Boris make us all musketeers?" Spike reminds his friends with a nod. Of course, the Dragon has no clue as to the real reason why Boris even made the group musketeers.

"Yeah; He did, I remember!"

"After all, we have been dreaming since we were kids! Well, just me, Ben and Pinkie. The others got into it." Spike said with a smirk. He and his pals got out of the mud pit. They can still rescue Rarity and Twilight, "So how about it? Are we a team?"

"Well, count me in, Spike!" Pinkie exclaims as she and Spike put their claws/hooves onto the top of one another.

"Right, me too," Ben exclaims in determination, putting his hoof on top of his pals'. He wants to at least make up for his cowardice and abandoning Twilight and Rarity during the fight.

"Sure, count us in!" Golden Heart exclaims as he and Pinkamena put their own hooves on the top of the pile.

"Come on! We're off to save Princess Rarity!" Spike said as he takes his sword out, ready for action. "After all, no obstacle's too big!"

"Yeah," Pinkamena exclaims with a smirk as she takes her dagger out. Those Diamond Dogs are going to regret kidnapping the princess.

"And no danger too great," Golden Heart said to his friends in determination, ready for anything.

"You said it!" Ben exclaims. The heroes put their weapons together, grinning. Yes, they got their guard down but the five can still fix it and get Rarity and Twilight back!

"Together, we will save Rarity or die trying!" Spike laughs eagerly. He and his pals rush off to the direction of where their enemies are at...all but Ben who got a worried and scared look on his face. Whatever confidence he got is gone.

"Die?" Ben asks in worry then yelps as Golden Heart came back, dragging the stallion with the others. "Die?!"

"Apples; come get yer apples." Spoke a pony that was selling apples from her stand as the heroes were rushing by, only to notice who she looks like. It is an orange female Earth pony with green eyes, blonde mane and tail, both in a ponytail, wears only a cowboy hat and has three apples marking on her flank. Her name is Applejack. "Howdy, ye fellas need somethin' ta eat?" She spoke in being friendly to offer some fine baked apple goods that seem to mouth water some of the folks here.

"Um well, we're kinda in a hurry, you see, the princess is in trouble." Spike spoke in feeling they are kinda in a rush here, since Rarity is in trouble.

"Trouble; Wha sorta trouble," Applejack spoke off surprise in hearing this suddenly.

"Bad guys kidnapping them," Pinkie Pie pointed off to which Goldie slapped his forehead, that was meant to be a secret so the common folks don't panic and spread rumors, now how can they get out of this?

"Great horny toads; Dat's bad?" Applejack yelped in horror in hearing this news. "Say, alright if Ah come an' help?" She asked this in which surprised everyone.

"Oh, you wanna help?" Pinkamena spoke in hearing what this pony said.

"Sure do!" Applejack proudly stated the answer of hers.

"Well sure, but....we don't have any money to pay you for aiding us." Ben spoke in feeling that they can't pay much for asking aid of a civilian to the cause.

"Aw shoot, just helpin' a friend is good enough, dat there & maybe asking ta be apart o' 'de royal chefs fer her highness; Might help out mah family dat lives around here. My pal Rainbow Dash got in, an' it be nice ta see her again." Applejack spoke off in giving an answer here to the others of her reason of being.

"Okay, how about if the rescue goes well, we shall consider asking the princess for the favor?" Golden Heart stated in seeing that if AJ helps them out, maybe that arrangement can be made.

"Perfect, Ah'm all yers!" AJ proudly spoke in feeling like her chance to help her family out has arrived.

Well with that, Applejack soon joins with the rest to rush off to help in rescuing Rarity & Twilight from the Diamond Dogs.

Well, the heroes are on their way to rescue the Diamond Dogs. In the next chapter, the rescue begins but will the good guys save Rarity and Twilight from the Diamond Dogs? Read, review and suggest!
