11:00 p.m.

Princess Nidra is just trotting along the streets. Many bat ponies were also out, either just taking a light stroll, heading to work, or just patrolling for the night guard. Since her father was the captain of the night guard, Nidra knew some of the bat ponies she saw along the street. Turing onto Main Street, she sees her destination only a block away: the bar Day and Night, Light and Heavy. This was where both her’s, Illusion’s and Claire’s first drinks were.

She always enjoys going there every once in a while. Especially when they’re selling some Fireball Whiskey. Ever since she first tried it at Annie’s 21st birthday party, she bought as much of it as she can whenever she could. I hope they have at least one bottle left. She thought, nearing an alleyway when something horrifying catches her eye: a little colt covered in blood, lying half buried under some old newspapers.

“Oh, sweet Celestia!” She cried as she runs up to the body. The blood still flowing, meaning this happened not too long ago. “Who would do such a horrible thing?”

“Isn’t beautiful how blood flows out of the body?” Someone form behind her suddenly said. How did she not hear anyone walking towards her!? “Don’t you agree, little girl!” Before she can do anything, something hits Nidra in the back of her head. Everything went black.

Solnary 23, 1035 ANM

4:00 a.m.

“Where is that mare?” Luna asked. She and her husband, Supernova, haven’t seen Nidra since she went for a drink earlier that night. “She should’ve been back by now.”

“I’m sure she’s fine. She probably went to visit Annie and T in Ponyville.” Supernova said, casually lying on the stairs leading up to the thrones.

“Perhaps.” Said Luna. Suddenly, one of the night guards runs into the throne room.

“Princess Luna! Prince Supernova!” He called out, a grim expression on his face.

“What is it?” Supernova asked, getting up.

“Your daughter, Princess Nidra…” the guard held his breath. Whether it was from his frantic run or just to add a dramatic effect, Luna and Supernova didn’t care. “Has been kidnaped.” He finished.

“What!?” They both shrieked. “But by who?”

“We’re not sure.” The guard replied. “All we know is that the Traditionalist will likely believe that the Modernist were responsible. And there’s the chance that some Modernist are the culprits.”

“But why would anyone do this?” Luna asked.

“Simple: compared to Celestia, the Traditionalist still believe that you’ve kept to the old ways.” Said Supernova. “Even though Nidra is half alicorn and half bat pony, she’s still technically a pony. That means that, when he Traditionalist learn of this, the worst possible scenario will happen.”

Luna looks out into the city from one of the opened windows in the room, a look of worry on her face. “A civil war.”

Solnary 23, 1035 ANM

6:30 a.m.

Starburst had just dragged herself out of bed. Lazily walking though the hallways of her mother’s castle, she makes her way to the dinning room. Passing by a window, she sees a mod just outside of the castle. Stopping in her tracks, she sees that most of the ponies are entirely Traditionalists, nearly all of them from out of town. Some of them burning posters of Celestia and burning Equestria’s flag. Some are carrying signs, saying ‘Rid Equestria of the infidels who defy Faust’s teachings!’

“What the hell is going on?” She asked.

“It’s horrible, isn’t it?” Twilight suddenly said as she walks up to her daughter.

“Mom.”

“Late last night, Princess Nidra was kidnapped by an unidentified group.”

“What?” Starburst asked, shocked.

“And because of that, small fights and riots like this one have broken out in both Canterlot and here.” Twilight added.

Starburst looks out into the mod. Royal guards are doing their best to keep them in check. “Did they forget that you and your friends saved Equestria at least 4 times?”

“I doubt that, but things are getting so bad that I had to bring everypony into the castle to protect them, especially Rarity, Spike, Claire, T and Annie. I hate to see what would happen to them if they didn’t have the royal guard to protect them.”

“Where are they?”

“In the foyer. They’re waiting until we can get their rooms ready.” Twilight answered… when Starburst’s stomach suddenly reminds them that she hasn’t eaten anything yet. Star blushes as Twilight giggles. “Go get yourself a watermelon or two, then you can see everyone.”

“Oaky,” the still blushing Starburst said, stopping herself from drooling at the thought of watermelons.

July 23, 3330 AD

0800 hours

Cheese Sandwich just ran into the room, startling Chrysalis and some changelings. “Sorry I’m late. I had to get by some Traditionalists firing guns. How they got those, I have no idea.”

“We’re just glad that you’re safe.” One of the changelings said.

“Where’s Imamu and the others?” Cheese asked.

“They’ve split up.” Chrysalis said as she points to the map. On it, 4 X’s are at Ponyville, one is near the sight that the solar power station is being built, and the last X is at Appleloosa. “Wu, Hilary, Imamu and Amani are staking out Ponyville in the four cardinal directions, while Amanda went to guard the solar power station near Dodge Junction. And Lance went to investigate Nidra’s kidnapping in Appleloosa.”

“Why would he go there?” Cheese asked.

“A lot of Traditionalist live in the towns surrounding Appleloosa.” Chrysalis explained. “And if they are responsible, then that would be a good place to look. Right now, finding Princess Nidra alive is the best chance we have at stopping this civil war. But Lance also thinks that whoever kidnaped Princess Nidra aren’t Traditionalists.”

“You mean that some of the Modernist staged all of this?” Cheese asked.

“That, or we’re dealing with a third party.”

“If you don’t mind me asking, but why did you suddenly deiced to move to Ponyville?” A Changeling suddenly asked Cheese.

“A bit off topic, but I guess I decided to stay here was to help the Gundam Meisters.” Cheese admitted.

“Probably causing a lot of awkwardness for Pinkie and her husband.” Another changeling whispered, earning him a glare form Chrysalis.

July 23, 3330 AD

0814 hours

As Lance walks along the dirt road, he sees that at least a couple of Traditionalists live here. Some of the Traditionalists are staring at him, while all of the other residents (some of them bison) greet him with happy smiles and waves. Some of these ponies want to start a war. They have no idea what they want. He thought, having flashbacks from when he was fighting as a guerrilla fighter back on Earth.

“Excuse me, sir.” A little colt with a golden coat, light green eyes and a light brown mane, wearing a white and red headband with a red and yellow feather, said as he trots up to Lance. He's carrying two water jugs on his back. “You want to buy some water?”

“No thanks. I have enough.”

“Koda!” A female bison called out. She’s accompanied by an earth pony stallion with a yellow coat, a gold mane and green eyes, wearing a leather jacket and a cowboy hat, having an apple for a cutie mark, and a mare with a dark brown coat, a black mane and dark green eyes and an apple tree for a cute mark. “I told you not to run up to somepony like that.”

“Sorry, mom.” The little colt, apparently called Koda, said. “This is my family. My mother, Little Strongheart, my father, Braeburn, and my older sister Bilasáana.”

“Nice to meet you.” Said Lance.

“You’re not from around here, are you?” Braeburn asked.

“You’re right. I'm kind of a world traveler.” Lance answered.

“Really?” Bilasáana asked, while Koda smiles.

“Hey! My grandpa, Chief Thunderhooves, told me about these giant machines that are built to fight. Are they real?” Koda asked.

“Mobile suits. They’re for real.” Lance replied.

“Do you pilot one?” Koda asked.

“Yeah, I do.”

“Awesome! What country are you from? Have you been in any battles? I’ve heard about special machines called Gundams, are they real?”

“Okay, Koda. I think that’s enough.” Said Little Strongheart.

“Sorry about that. When he gets interested in somethin’, he asks as many questions as he can.” Braeburn said.

“It’s okay.”

“Hey, what are you doing here!?” An old earth pony suddenly said to Lance. “I can tell just by that face of yours: you support Princess Twilight and her infidels, don’t ya! You look so much like her!”

“Now, let’s not get hasty, Jackrabbit,” Braeburn said.

“You don’t belong around here and you know it! Get out of here, now!” Quietly, Lance walks by the odd family and leaves.

Solnary 23, 1035 ANM

6:54 p.m.

An old mining town, Slaterville was abandon 50 years ago when the silver mines ran dry. Nopony has been here in years. But one particular group has decided to uses this town as a hideout. A small group of mercenaries, all of them either ponies or zebra. In what used to be the town hall, Princess Nidra begins to stir. With a groan, she tries to get up… only to find that her wings have been tired to her body by a rope and an anti-magic ring is on her horn. “Good, you’re awake.” A zony said as he trots up to her. She’s repelled by his appearance. Not his heritage but by the fact that half of his body has horrible burns, mostly his left side.

“Where am I? Who are you?”

“My name is Zarren Zhan. I’m a mercenary, as you can see.” Looking around, Nidra notices several assault rifles and other weapons, like army knifes and crossbows. “I was hired by my sponsor to capture you so a civil war will start. And that’s all you’ll get from me.” With that, the zony leaves her and several guards and heads outside.

I need to get out of this. Nidra thought. If I don’t, then dad, mom, auntie Celestia, uncle Discord, Twilight and Cadence could all get killed soon.

Outside, she can hear Zerren talking to someone on the phone. “She just woke up boss. What do you want me to do next?”

“Attack the- … -olar power s- … tonight.” Nidra could barely make out what the guy on the phone said. Zerren must be quit a ways away form the building.

“That will surly cause a civil war. But what if something happens to Nidra?” Said Zerren. His ‘boss’ then says something else, but Nidra can’t hear any of it. He must’ve went further away. “You wan’t me to capture Princess Twilight’s daughter as a backup? I’ll try to, though I doubt I’ll have much success. That castle must’ve increased security a lot since I took Nidra. … Even if I do it during the coup d’état tonight, I doubt I can just sneak in and capture her. … That Starfall punk is going to be there too? Well, then I’ll do it free of charge, unless I can’t kill that little unicorn punk.”

Nidra nearly gasps when she hears that, but she manages to not to, otherwise it might inform the guards. A coup d’état!?

“So, if Nidra somehow dies during the takeover, then you’ll engrave that Control Glyph I taught you into Starburst, huh? Then she’ll be the figurehead instead of Nidra. Well, mister future king of Equestria, I’ll call you back when the power station is gone.”

Who was that guy talking to? Nidra thought. It sounded like-

“Now I can have a drink.” Zerren suddenly said. “I wonder, which side will Faust chose? The Modernist, or boss’ group — the Traditionalists? Well, either way, we’re gonna have a war and some dead princesses tonight.” He chuckled.

8:00 p.m.

“I know that this is so sudden, but right now you all need to stay here.” Starburst said to her friends.

“It’s okay, dear.” Said Claire as she drinks some tea. “We don’t spend much time together these days, so it’s okay. I just wished the fate of Equestria wasn’t at stake.”

“Do you think Nidra is okay?” Whirlwind asked.

“I hope so.” Annie said as she comforts Oasis while T tends to the sleeping Apollo. “It’s okay, Oasis. Aunty Nidra will be okay.”

“If I know Nidra, then she’s probably holding her own against whoever captured her.” Said Illusion, drinking some tea with Claire.

“What do you think those guys want?” Candy asked as she plays a poker game with Del, Starfall, Whirlwind, Prism, and Red June. Even though her family wasn’t in any real danger, she insisted on being in the castle with her cousin, aunt and uncle. Although Annie and Candy have other ideas as to why she came in.

“I don’t know, but I have a bad feeling we’re about to find out.” Said Starfall… and then wrinkled his nose. “Looks like all of the alicorns are gonna be here for a while.”

“What do you mean?” Prism asked, when he notices that Annie is sniffing something.

“I think Princess Celestia, Discord, Princess Luna and Prince Supernova are in the meeting hall with Mom and the others.” She said.

“Don’t forget about me.” June begins to blush as she recognizes that voice.

“Val!” The pleasantly surprised Starburst said as her older cousin walks into the library.

“Why are you here?” Illusion asked the crown prince of the Crystal Empire.

“My parents and I heard about what happened and I decided to come here to help.” Valiant Heart answered, when he glances over to; “Starfall.”

“Val.” Starfall replied, drawing a card.

“So, anything else?” Red June asked.

“June! I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there.” Said Val.

“And he wonders why he has a hard time finding the right mare.” Illusion whispered to T, earning him a glare from Val and June. “Speaking of… We might as well tell you, T.”

“Tell me what?” T asked, his interests peeked.

“That … Nah. You’re not ready yet.” Annie said.

T, not sure what’s what, just asks: “Not ready for what?”

“Honestly, you know when some mare has a crush on another colt, but not on you?” Del said, making some of the group chuckle while T get’s an even more confused look on his face.

“What do you think those guys are gonna do next?” Illusion asked.

“Well, and I can say this for everyone here, that we don’t know.” Said Del.

18 miles west of Dodge Junction

Solnary 23, 1035 ANM

9:00 p.m.

There aren’t many royal guards at the solar power station. Maybe only about 20 of them, compared to the 50 workers building the station. Just as they are about to start, 10 of the guards go to a small boulder nearby. “What are you guys doing?” The captain asked, when one of the guards fires a machine gun and kills him.

“Bring the wrath of Faust down upon the infidels who would dare to change our ways!” Some of them screamed as they charge at the remaining guards and defenseless workers.

1.5 miles west, above cloud level

Silverwind, Sidewinder, and Slipstream, three of the top Wonderbolts, are out on patrol nearby. “Silverwind, look over there!” Sidewinder said, pointing to the solar power station. Some smoke and flashes of magic are coming form the station.

“Lets go!” Said Silverwind as they race towards the sight. There they see that about 20 workers and 5 guards are dead. The surviving workers are running away while the remaining guards continue to fight.

“Who are the traitors?” Slipstream asked, when a cornflower blue beam suddenly blasts by and attacks the guards with guns.

“What the hell?!” All three asked as they looked over to where the beam came from, and see a white mobile suit standing on a hill about 3 miles away.

“So that’s a Gundam,” said Silverwind.

QN 006-R Gundam Evasive

“Shot on target. Shot on target.” Said Violet.

“Staking this place out was a good idea.” Said Amanda, when she see four rocks suddenly fly up form behind the mountains south of the solar power station. “A missile attack!” She quickly begins to fie as the rocks release 20 missiles each. “There’s just too damn many of them!” She said, only able to take out about 8 of them as the rest destroy the station.

9:09 p.m.

“The solar power station has been destroyed?” Celestia asked. A guard had just informed her and everyone else in the room about the attack.

“As it turned out, some of the guards on duty there were extremists who support the Traditionalists cause.”

“But why?” Fluttershy asked.

“It’s almost like they had planned this.” Said Twilight.

“That’s it!” Luna gasped. “All of this was planned by somepony! But by who?”

“Princess!” Another guard said as he barges into the room. “Earth Bullets have been spotted heading here.”

“Mobile suits? Here!?” Twilight asked.

“How many?” Discord asked.

“About 20. They’re being accompanied by about 30 extremist who support the Traditionalist cause, many of them being royal guards.” The guard answered.

“That means…” Celestia dreadfully said as she looks out towards the forest, where the faint silhouettes of the Earth Bullets steadily making their way into town. “A coup d’état!”

“How long until they reach Ponyville?” Flash Sentry asked.

“At least 2 hours.”

“We need to evacuate to the shelter.” Said Twilight.

Solnary 24, 1035 ANM

12:00 a.m.

On the outskirts of Ponyville, the 20 mobile suits and the 30 extremists march into the small city. Many of them then yell: “We are the lance of Faust! We will rise up against the so-called Elements of Harmony! Bring the wrath of Faust down upon those who have forgotten Her teachings! Chase out the infidels from our homeland!” Some of them begin to fire at the castle, though they’re too far away still to cause any damage.

Three of the Earth Bullet pilots begin to charge forward, intending to crash through the castle’s walls. Some of the Royal Guards and Wonderbolts are doing their best to stop them, but they can’t even slow them down. Suddenly, a giant figure flies past the guards and Wonderbolts and cuts off the heads of the three charging Earth Bullets with two oddly curved blades.

Looking closely, they all gasp when they realize what it is, the Earth Bullets it defeated falling to the ground with a thud. “It’s a Gundam!” One guard cried as two Earth bullets fire at the Gundam the others going down different streets to reach the castle. But the bullets bound off of the Gundam as it floats over to them. Using it’s curved blade it also cuts off their heads.

On another street, some of the extremists and three Earth Bullet’s are moving by Sugarcube Corner. “I can’t believe this! A Gundam is here!” One extremes said, when a giant shadow appears over them. Looking up, they see the Pink Gundam is blocking the light form the moon. Suddenly its beam scythe is deployed as it drops to the ground. Using its beam scythe, it slashes one of the Earth Bullets in half. It then cuts off the heads of the other two.

At the town’s market, 6 Earth Bullets are firing at the castle, when another Gundam appears. It jumps in front of them and aims its gatling gun, machine gun and two cannons on its legs at them. It fires. In an instant the 6 Earth Bullets suits fall to the ground, gashing holes all over them as electricity sparks around.

On main street, the last 6 Earth Bullet suits are moving towards the castle, intent on bridging it down. Suddenly, something like a dragon’s hear grabs one of the Earth Bullet’s head and tears it out. Looking to where the ‘dragon head’ came from, they see the Dragon Gundam.

It aims its dragon head at another suit and it catapults itself at it as well, destroying the suit. Grabbing a beam trident, it charges at the remaining Earth Bullets, cutting in half three of them before charging at the last one. It aims the beam trident at the center of the suit and pieces it. It them slashes the trident out of the suit as it explodes.

QN 005-RD Lighting Flash Gundam

“All of the extremists mobile suits have been taken care of.” Said Wu.

“Gundam Meisters, do you read!” Chrysalis suddenly said over the comlinks.

“What is it?”

“Four more Earth Bullet suits have been spotted near Appleloosa. Lance and Amanda are already on their way, but we cannot confirm just how many more mobile suits are hiding in Equestria.”

“Give me a break! It’s one thing after another!” Wu said as he and the others fly off in that direction.

QN 001-TS Gundam Dusk Shine

July 24, 3330 AD

0558 hours

As Lance flies towards the town he was at yesterday, he sees that the Earth Bullets have already reach it. But for some reason they’re attacking the residents. “Why are they attacking a town full of earth ponies?” He gasps, realizing what their target is. “Braeburn and his family!”

Appleloosa

Koda and his family are trying their best to avoid the Earth Bullet suits. One Earth Bullet fires its machine gun at them, but they manage to evade by ducking under a wagon. “This ain’t good!” Koda said. Suddenly one of the Earth Bullets spots them.

They gasp as they try to get away while the Earth Bullet prepares to fire. Suddenly, a cornflower blue beam hits the mobile suits head. Looking to where it came from, they see a mobile fighter. The nose appears to have a blaster of some sort installed into it. Below it is a large, pointed blade with a raspberry colored outlining. The wings are similar to a birds, but lavender and white in color and lacking the feathers. The main body is midnight blue, with red and yellow lines along the vents and guns. The thrusters are emitting a strange, moderate cobalt blue colored light as well.

Suddenly, the nose and the blade separate as the back half of the body rotates. White legs fold outward from the back of the body as white arms fold out from the sides. The right arm grabs the blade, which has folded into something like a pistol. The left arm grabs the nose, making it a combination of a buster rifle and a shield. The wings have folded near the engine now. A head then rotates into view. Its head is also white, with a white horn connected to a white v-shaped fin above crystal clear blue eyes. The machine is now 19 meters in height.

“A Gundam!” Escaped from Little Strongheart’s lips as it lands and cuts in half one of the Earth Bullets. it quickly moves to another and slashes it in half as well. One Earth Bullet tries to fire a gun at it, but the Gundam cuts off its arm, causing it to fall helplessly to the ground.

“Amazing!” Said Bilasáana.

Koda then leaves the bidding place his family was in and runs up to the Gundam. “Koda, get back here!” Braeburn said as he and his wife and daughter chase after the young earth pony/buffalo colt.

Koda stops just feet away form the Gundam, his eyes as wide as dinner plates at the sheer size of the machine. “Awesome!”

“The Gundam Meisters have begun an armed intervention in the unrest and coup d'état currently happening in Equestria.” A reporter said.

“So, the Gundams are in Equestria once again.” Said No-Ble.

“Didn’t Gorn Industries sell some mobile suits to a high Canterlot society unicorn?” At-Lass asked.

“I guess we now know why they needed those suits.”

“Damn them!” Zarren cursed as he exits a crimson painted Shadow Bolt. “Thanks to the Gundam whatchamacallits, I wasn’t able to get a big enough chance to kidnap that Starburst girl! Those guys are terrible for business.”

7:00 a.m.

“We’ve suffered a coup d’état, and then there was an intervention by the Gundam Meisters.” Said Celestia as she and the others leave the shelter.

“We’ve already dealt with the coup d’état, and we’ll be sending supplies for those who were injured.” A guard said.

“We’re there any casualties?” Luna asked.

“It’s not exact, but it is believed that about 20 civilians were killed, and all of the royal guards who were part of the coup d’état are either injured or were killed by the Gundams.” A guard answered.

“What about Braeburn and his family?” Applejack asked.

“We’re not sure. We’ve already sent some guard there to check.”

QN 006-R Gundam Evasive

July 24, 3330 AD

0722 hours

“This is terrible.” Said Amanda said as she approaches the town of Appleloosa.

“Dusk Shine found. Dusk Shine found.” Violet suddenly said. Getting a visual, Amanda sees that the Dusk Shine is just standing in the center of town. Down below, she sees that Lance is helping anyone who’s injured, while a young earth pony-bison hybrid seems to be either helping or asking him questions.

“Oh, Lance. You’re always trying to become a Gundam, aren’t you?”

What does it mean to become a Gundam? As a demon from Starfall’s past slowly reveals himself, the Gundams try to recover the captive princess. But their presence in Equestria stirs up controversy. The only way to end this civil war is to return Princess Nidra, but it’ll be easier said than done, especially if the citizens don’t want their help. And what does Blueblood have to do with it?
