Twilight aimed her gun at the approaching blue mare, hands shaking as she found it hard to aim.

"What's the matter, Twilight?!" Trixie yelled to her, spinning her wand in her hand before flicking it at Twi, a fireball shooting out. Twi gasped and jumped to the side, dodging it. "You scared?!"

Twi panted and got to a knee, realizing she was right next to the body of Dirge. She let out a gasped and scooted backwards away from it before scrambling to her feet. She then took cover behind a car as another fireball struck where she was standing.

"Peek-a-boo!" Trixie sang, lifting the car up with her wand. "I see you!"

"Oh, shit..." Twi muttered before jumping out of the way as Trixie slammed the car back down.

"Oh, this is so much fun!" the blue mare yelled as she kept approaching Twilight, now a block away.

Trixie then picked up a van and threw it at the mare. Twi gasped and held out her hand. The van was engulfed in a faint purple aura as it slowly lost speed and crashed in front of the purple unicorn. She then let out a yelp and stepped back, shocked by how close the car came to crushing her.

"Not bad, Twilight," Trixie said with a smirk. "You're learning."

"Stop this right now!" Twi yelled. "I don't wanna hurt you!"

The blue mare burst out laughing. "You? Hurt Trixie?" she asked with a giggle. "I don't think so..."

She then spun her wand in her hand before quickly pointing the star end at the car sending out a fireball. Twi went wide-eyed and used her magic to push the car to the side before holding a hand out to stop the fireball. Instead of it stopping, it burst in front of her, sending her flying back and tumbling across the pavement.

Lightning Dust eyed Gilda as they watched. "I think we should go up next, G."

The griff nodded. "Sure... Let's just be prepared, though..." she said with a smirk. "Get some grenades."

"You were taught well..." Trixie cooed. "I suppose it's safe to assume that you've found your two leaders..."

"Oh, they taught me well, alright..." Twi growled, slowly getting to her feet.

"Ooo, the big bad mare is going to fight back..." Trixie teased. "Good luck," she spat, shooting out another fireball.

Twilight ran towards it before focusing her magic. She then reached her hand out and flicked it to the right. The fireball immediately shot to the side and exploded a car. Trixie went wide-eyed and threw another one. This time, Twilight sent it flying to the left.

"What the hell?!" Trixie gasped.

Twi then focused some magic into her hand before launching an energy sphere at the mare. Trixie held her wand in front of her and created a transparent forcefield. When the sphere struck it the mare was pushed back a little. Twi then lunged at her with a punch that Trixie manage to narrowly avoid by stumbling backwards.

"I-I thought this was a magic duel!" she protested.

"I never said that..." Twi replied before kicking the mare in the chest, sending her falling backwards with a grunt.

"Dammit..." she growled before flicking her wand at the unicorn, causing a strong gust of wind to knock her over.

The purple mare then rolled away and got to her feet as Trixie did the same.

"Fine..." Trixie growled, putting her wand in the pocket inside her cape. "You want a fistfight?"

"Think you can handle it?" Twi said with a light smirk.

"Trixie can hold her own in any situation!"

She then walked up to Twilight and threw a punch, which the purple mare caught. The blue mare let out a low growl and threw another with her other hand. Twi caught that one as well.

"Thought you said you could hold your own?" Twi teased.

"The Great and Powerful Trixie will always triumph!" the blue mare growled.

"Oh?" asked Twilight, eyeing the wand inside the mare's cape. She then levitated it out and grabbed it, stepping back. "How will you triumph without this, huh?"

Trixie let out a gasp and went wide-eyed. "W-WHAT THE... B-BE CAREFUL!" she yelled, lunging forward.

Twilight stepped out of the way as Trixie stumbled passed her. "Careful? With this?" Twi asked, looking the star wand over. "Why? So, you can use it to cause more damage?" She then chuckled as Trixie turned to face her. "I don't think so..." She then gripped the wand by both ends.

"WAIT, WHAT ARE YOU--" Trixie started as she began to moe forward, before a snap made her stop dead in her tracks. "What did you..."

Twilight looked at both halves of the wand before collecting them both in her left hand. "I broke it... Good luck channeling your magic without it." Trixie stared at the broken wand before dropping to her knees. She then sniffled and closed her eyes. "Oh, you're gonna cry over this thing?" Twi asked. "What's so special about it, anyways?"

"MY FATHER GAVE IT TO ME!!!" she yelled, her eyes shooting open and filling with tears. "RIGHT BEFORE HE WAS..." She then stopped and shuddered, closing her eyes again.

Twi's expression turned to shock as she let out a soft gasp, slowly looking at the wand halves in her hand. "Oh..." She then gripped them tightly.

"Well..." Trixie sniffled, rubbing her eyes. "Gonna kill Trixie like you killed Dirge?"

Twi hesitated before looking at the body of the colt. She then looked back at Trixie before walking over to her. The blue mare hung her head, awaiting a bullet to the head. Instead, Twi knelt down in front of her.

"Go on..." the purple mare said. "Get out of here."

Trixie sniffled and looked at her. "Y... You're letting me go?"

Twi nodded. "Mmm... Now, go on before I change my mind..." she said with a light smile.

Trixie rubbed her watery eyes and started to stand when they both heard the sound of metallic clanking. Both mares looked towards the hotel and saw two grenades rolling towards them, a foot away.

"Oh, shit!" Twilight yelled, quickly putting her arm around Trixie and pulling her away. The grenades then went off, sending both mares flying into a nearby car. Twi hit the pavement with a grunt and rubbed her head. "Ah, fuck..." She then looked at Trixie, who was laying on her side beside her. "Trixie?" she asked, rolling the mare onto her back. She was out cold. "Damn..."

She then heard laughter in the distance and looked over, seeing Gilda and Lightning Dust approaching them. They both held a grenade.

"Close call, Twilight!" Lightning yelled, throwing the grenade in the air and catching it with her other hand.

They both then pulled back and threw their grenades. Twilight let out a gasp and held out her hand, catching the grenades in mid-air before both exploded. Twi, Gilda, and Lightning Dust all shielded their eyes before the purple mare quickly grabbed Trixie and pulled her off the street and into an alley, propping her up against the side of the building.

"No one else will die..." she said, gently rubbing the unconscious mare's cheek. "Not on my watch..." she said, before heading back out into the street to face Gilda and Lightning Dust.
