--Magic Training--
Chrysalis slammed the desk with her hand. "Where the fuck is she?!" she growled, before her door opened.
"Mistress!" Nala called, running in and stopping at her desk. "It's Rogue."
"What about Rogue?" the queen asked, eyeing her desk. "Did she kill Twilight?"
"No, uh... She's in the hospital..."
Chrysalis looked up at her. "What?!"
"The story is, uh... taht she was raped, but... given the location and the amount of injuries... I'd say she fell."
Chrysalis sighed. "Or Twilight pushed her off..."
"That, too..." Nala mumbled.
The queen sighed before standing up. "I think I'll go pay our little assassin a visit...
Nala tilted her head. "You gonna kill her?"
Chrysalis gave a smirk. "We'll see..."
Twilight finished untying Luna as the blue alicorn dropped to her knees with a grunt.
"Are you okay, Luna?" she asked.
The alicorn nodded weakly before looking her over. "My apologies, but... Who are you?"
Twilight gave a light chuckle. "Don't worry, ma'am... Once we reclaim the city I'll have all the time in the world to fill you in... For now--"
"What?" Luna asked as Twilight moved to Celestia. "Reclaim? You mean Chrysalis won?"
Twilight looked over her shoulder at the blue alicorn. "Not yet..."
Chrysalis entered the hospital lobby, everyone letting out startled and frightened gasps and murmurs. The queen walked up to the counter where the receptionist had on a worried look.
"Wh-What can I do for you, m-mIstress?" she stammered nervously. " H-Here to see--"
"Yes," the queen interrupted. "Where?"
"R-Room 104..."
Chrysalis entered the room and sighed, seeing the black mare with her right arm, right leg, torso, and neck in a cast.
"Well, she sure fucked you up, didn't she?" she asked, approaching the bed.
Rogue gasped weakly and coughed, looking over at her. "Ch-Chrysalis, ma'am, I... I..."
"Save it," the queen replied, holding up a hand.
Rogue gulped. "Are you... going to kill me?"
The queen looked the mare over before leaning in close to her face. "No, I think you've suffered enough... Besides, I know all about your past... The pain... Your memories... Killing you would be such a sweet release, wouldn't it?" she asked darkly. "No... I want you to live with it... Your past, this failure... They're yours to bear," she said, standing back upright before turning and walking away.
Rogue stared at her as she walked away, feeling both rage and sadness.
Earlier...
Twilight stood beside the warehouse, watching the ambulance drive away. She then went around to the back of the building where the two sisters were helping each other stand. Celestia was having a harder time as she appeared weaker.
"So, what happened to you two?" Twilight asked.
"Chrysalis drained us of our magic by feeding off our love for each other..." Luna explained. "She started with Celestia which is why she is much weaker than I am."
"I see..." said Twilight. "So, you're magic's gone?"
"Not gone. Just faded. It will come back eventually..."
"Hopefully soon," Twi said. "We'll need all the help we can get if we are to retake this city and free our friends..."
Luna then took a good look at Twilight. "Wait... You are a unicorn..." she said, before eyeing her sister. She then looked back at Twilight. "We can teach you how to use magic. It doesn't take long if you're good at concentrating. You get sidetracked easily, then..."
The purple mare smiled. "I'm very good at concentrating. BEst in my class when I was in school."
Luna smiled. "Which grade?"
"All of them."
The blue alicorn chuckled. "Well, then... I do not believe this will take long at all."
Later...
Chrysalis returned to her car, getting into the back seat. She then sighed and looked out the window. "Drive..."
The car began to move as she heard a female voice in the seat beside her. "You're doing well, Chryssie..."
The queen quickly looked over to see a figure wearing a black hooded cloak. "You?" she asked. The figure was showing no skin or hair so the Changeling queen could not figure out who it was. "Still being secretive?"
"I have to be... You can never trust anyone..."
"I think that's a bit harsh," said Chrysalis. "Even I have one I can trust..."
"Your precious Nala?"
The queen let out a mental gasp. "How'd you know?"
"I know everything about every one. Helps to have eyes and ears throughout the city..."
The queen tilted her head. "So, we all have our bases and headquarters... Where are you?"
"We are... everywhere..." the cloaked mare said before tapping the driver's shoulder. The car then pulled up to the curb as the mare got out. She then looked over her shoulder at the queen. "The apocalypse is coming... Prepare yourself," she said, before closing the door and walking away.
Chrysalis watched her for a bit more before looking at the driver. "Drive..." she said, thinking about the mare's last words.
We are everywhere... The apocalypse is coming... Prepare yourself...
Twilight took a deep breath and focused magic into her horn. "There it is..." she said with a smile. "I can feel it..."
Luna smiled and stood up, her sister sitting beside her. "Well done, Twilight!" she cheered. "First step in performing magic is building magic up. No one really practiced this in a very long time so everyone's supply is running on fumes."
"Cool!" Twi exclaimed, excited to learn new things. "Now what can I do?"
"Anything, really," Luna said. "Let's start with something easy..." she said, picking up a piece of rubble. "Levitate this piece of wood from my hands," she said, holding the plank out towards Twilight. The mare nodded and stared at the piece of wood, trying to focus magic in it. "Focus it into one spot," Luna said. "Magic is an extension of the body. Amateurs would need objects to do this--"
"Like Trixie's wand?" Twi asked.
Luna smiled. "Yes, like Trixie's wand. Real Unicorns can use their body instead. Hold your hand out towards this plank of wood and focus again. It should be easier."
Twilight nodded. "Okay..." she said, holding her hand out as instructed as she focused her magic again. She let out a gasp when her hand suddenly had a purple aura. Once she did, however, the aura faded. "Right. Concentrate..." she said, trying again.
This time her hand lit up with the purple aura again and she suddenly felt like she had control of her magic. The plank of wood Luna was holding was suddenly alit with the same purple aura. The blue alicorn smiled as the wood was lifted from her hands.
"Well done, Twilight," she said, stepping back.
"Thanks, I--" Twi began, closing her hand into a fist. The plank of wood suddenly shattered. "Um..." Twi stammered, wide-eyed.
"Control it, Twilight," Luna said, walking over to her. "Some magic can be discovered... Like that," she said, looking down at the broken plank.
"Right..." Twi said with a light chuckle. "I can learn the rest along the way. Right now, we have to defeat Chrysalis."
The queen stepped out of her car and entered the hotel, still thinking about what the mare said.
"How'd it go?" asked Nala, standing in the lobby as she was waiting for her return. "Rogue still... breathing?"
Chrysalis nodded. "For the time being, yes... Fluttershy causing any problems?"
Nala shook her head. "Just playing with her animals... I think Peppermint's getting tired of watching her."
"I bet she is..." Chrysalis said with a chuckle.
Twilight parked her armored van on the side of the road. Looking down the road she could see the hotel in the distance.
"Straight shot..." she said, pulling out her pistol and checking the ammo. "How's your magic?"
"Still low..." Luna replied from the back.
"I can barely... feel it at all..." Celestia said weakly.
Twi eyed her before getting out of the van. "Stay with her. I'll deal with this..." She then headed around to the back and opened the doors. After pulling out her assault rifle, with grenade launcher attachment, she loaded it and closed the doors.
The mare then walked into the center of the street and aimed her gun towards the hotel. She then aimed upwards at 45-degrees before firing a grenade.
Chrysalis entered Fluttershy's room and found her feeding Angel, a nervous look on her face before she gasped and looked at the queen. The Changeling then looked at Peppermint who had been staring at Fluttershy with an annoyed and angry look. When Shy gasped she looked at the doorway.
"Oh, thank god..." she said. "Am I relieved of duty now?" she asked, sounding hopeful.
Chrysalis eyed her. "You may go..."
"Yes!" Peppermint cheered before leaving the room.
The queen then went over to Fluttershy, who picked up Angel and held him close.
"No need to be afraid..." she said with a smile as she knelt down. "I just came to see how you're holding up."
"Oh..." Shy said, sounding surprised but still unsure. "Um... We're... fine... Thanks..."
Chrysalis smiled and reached out, moving Shy's hair away from her face. "Of course... Though, I'm still deciding what YOUR role will be..."
"R-Role?" asked Shy.
Chrysalis smirked. "Perhaps I'll make you my pet. You seem to like animals, so it seems fitting... Doesn't it?"
Fluttershy whimpered and shook her head.
"Come on... You wanna be my little bitch, don't you?"
"No..." Shy whimpered again as she sniffled.
"Don't you?!" the queen yelled.
"NO, I--" She began to yell before Chrysalis grabbed her by the throat.
Just then they both heard an explosion outside. The queen quickly looked at the door and then back at Fluttershy. Letting out a growl, she quickly let go and left.
Chrysalis burst through the front doors where the other gang leaders were standing, watching the cars go up in flames.
"Twilight Sparkle..." the queen growled, spotting her in the far distance.
The purple mare spotted the Changeling in the distance and smirked, giving her the finger.
"Oh, this bitch wants a fight..." Chrysalis growled. "Let's give her one..."
