CHAPTER TEN: Soon To Be

It felt good to have a few days off of doing anything. I was on something of a vacation really, I flew high over Cloudsdale, when suddenly a note appeared and covered my face.

“Ack! Damit!” I yelled as I lost focus and began to fall towards the ground, I took the note off my face and landed on the ground.

Dear Dorchester,

Please come to the throne room, we have some news for you.

Princess Celestia & Princess Luna

Uugh... please don't tell me that signs of Lace Danneggiato have been seen... I'm having so much fun!

How long has it been since we defeated him?

A few weeks.

I doubt he's already made his return. Must be something else.

I hope so.

I teleported myself over to the throne room, I saw King Horus, Luna, Celestia, and Silvermoon. Oh great... did King Horus tell her?

“Ah, Dorchester, it is good to see you so soon. I expect things have been going well?” King Horus asked.

“Things have been going great your highness.” I said with a smile.

“We have some good news for you,” Silvermoon said. I looked over and saw Princess Luna smiling widely.

Good news? Maybe this won't be so bad after all!

“Dorchester.” Silvermoon came up to me with adoring eyes.

“Yeah?” I asked, nervous but excited.

“I'm pregnant.”

My mouth opened in shock. I glanced over to see the two princesses smiling, even King Horus was smiling.

“Wha...” was the only thing I managed to get out.

“Your going to be a father!” Silvermoon grabbed me and kissed me.

Hell yeah!

This is great!

“This is great! I love it!” I exclaimed, I was going to be a father! I couldn't believe it! I felt over joyed!

“These moments call upon a rememberance Dorchester, the promise you made.” King Horus said, the smile quickly faded from my face.

“What does he mean?” Silvermoon asked.

“I'll explain later...” I said.

“You'll explain now.” King Horus demanded. I sighed.

“You know how I defeated Lace Danneggiato? Well... King Horus, can you take us to the hallway?”

King Horus nodded, we were teleported to the cave, in front of the picture of me and Danneggiato.

“Yes, you died, but you were saved from something.” Silvermoon said. I felt something tug at my chest, this was going to break her heart...

“Well... that wasn't supposed to happen. I was supposed to die, but something stopped me... I made a deal with King Horus to go back in time and stop myself from being revived... but only until Lace Danneggiato rises again.” I said. Silvermoon looked at me.

“It's fine... I just... how long do you expect?” She asked.

“Reviewing time itself, I was able to calculate the time it would take until Lace would return. Do not fear, it will be a very very long time.” King Horus said, he brought us back to the throne room.

“Well, let's not waste any time!” Silvermoon said. I liked how she always looked on the bright side of things.

“We've got some studying to do!” She took my hoof and we were engulfed in a bright light, and we were back at our house.

“Study?” I asked.

“For the arrival! Duh!” Silvermoon threw book after book at me.

“The foal won't be arriving for a long time though.” I said.

“The early bird catches the worm!” Silvermoon said with a giggle.
