Equestria, Some Time in the Past Before

I woke up in what smelled like a forest, with my head pounding and spinning in both directions at the same time.

“Anybody get the number of that planet?” I asked, trying to get my head straight.

I started to get up and look around to see if there were any people. “Wait why am I in a forest?” I asked myself before realising something.

“OH CRAP!” Vocalizing my thoughts and started looking for my purse. The one I handcrafted with my Uncle to look like Charmcaster’s golem bag. “Oh thank the...” I stopped mid-sentence when I looked into my bag. “What the hell?” I said as I discovered my bag was a pocket dimension...somehow. Pulling out the book I bought and a couple other things, like my wallet and my old Ipod, unfortunately I couldn’t find my cell phone. I then opened the book hoping it would have some answers.

I started rapidly turning the pages of the book, hoping for something that would prove that this is all just a dream formed by a tainted snow cone. As I read the book I saw a bunch of random words. “What the?” I asked myself as I kept reading it still looking for a note saying what happened to me. “Well I don’t have anything to lose” I said before speaking out loud one of the spells “Zap!” I shouted as a a blast of lightning came from my hand.

“Holy!” I shouted as my lightning destroyed a tree. I then remembered the watch I had “wait if I can do that then...” I said pulling my sleeve to see the Omnitrix on my wrists was fused to it. “now lets see if i'm right.” I said pressing the dial and watching it pop up and display the silhouette of Terraspin shown on green display. I slowly reached out to press down on it when a voice from behind me make me pause in my tracks.

“I wouldn’t do that just yet.” A voice said from behind me.

“Who’s there?!” I shout turning on the spot to try and find the source of the voice. But behind me, there was nobody there.

“We’re what’s left.” A different voice, more feminine than the last, stated from my left. However, when I turned in that direction there was, once again, nobody there.

“Or perhaps, we’re all there ever was.” The first voice said from behind me and this time I found the source of the voice.

A man and a woman dressed in similar beige suits with green ties were casually standing between some trees. The similarities between them, such as their green eyes and red hair, gave me the impression that they were twins. One of them, the man, had a chalkboard strung over his chest that was divided into two sections, one of which was full of tally marks while the other was empty. The sections were labeled “Heads” and “Tails” respectively. The woman, on the other hand, merely held out a plate with a large silver coin on it in the palm of her hand.

“Now then,” The woman said as she picked up the coin and tossed it to me. “Heads?”

“Or the Tails?” The man asked as he looked at me expectantly.

“What?” I asked not sure what they meant.

“Heads?”

“Or Tails?” They repeated, looking at me expectantly.

“Sideways” I said still not knowing why they were asking this and proceeded to flip the coin.

They looked slightly amused at my answer, but they both raised an eyebrow as they saw the coin land on it side for a second then flop over to the heads side. “Close, but no cigar.” The man said as the woman took out a piece of chalk and added a dash to the heads side of the chalkboard.

“Okay now will you tell me who you two are?” I asked in minor annoyance.

“Us?” The woman asked.

“We are where we’re needed-” The man started as he pulled off the chalkboard and put it...somewhere.

“-and needed where we are.” The woman finished as she also stored away the plate and coin.

“Well thats neat but can I get a name?” I said showing a bit of my anger.

“Why would we answer what is already known?” The man asked me with a slight tilt of his head.

“Wait...” I said recognizing them “The two of you where at the con.” I stated receiving a nod from the duo. I started to open my mouth when I was interrupted by them.

“No we are not going to say the Team Rocket motto.” Robert Lutece, or at least, the man I saw dressed as him from the con, told me causing me to shut my mouth before opening it again and being interrupted once more.

“Neither are we going to sing Birds of Prey.” Rosalind Lutece told me causing me to frown with sadness.

“So what are two here for?” I asked wondering how they got here.

“We’re simply here to point you in the right direction.” Rosalind said as her brother gestured to a well-worn path that was half covered in dirt heading into the forest.

“Simply head that way and you shall start your journey home.” Robert explained as he lowered his arms.

I looked at the path wondering where it would take before turning around to thank the two but they had vanished. In there place was a simple, silver coin lying in the grass. “I hope this will bring me good luck” I said placing the coin in my bag and starting to sing the theme song to ‘Gummy Bears’.

Modern Equestria where last left off

“Can I help you?” A feminine voice asked from above me.

I turned my head around while still keeping focus on the books and saw a Lavender alicorn walking down the stairs. “Are you the librarian here?” I asked resisting the urge to facepalm at the stupidness of my question. It was obvious that she wasn’t.

“Why yes I am” she said to my amazement “And like I asked earlier can i help you?” she asked again as I placed the book I was holding down.

“Sorry I have a weird tendency to try to organise things that seems disorganised.” I said sheepishly before grabbing my head as I felt lightheaded. The magic holding some books stopped working and dropping them as I fell to my knees saying “Ah.”

The mare quickly rushes to grab me. “Are you alright?” as my vision starts to go.

“I may require medical attention soon.” I said as the room started to get dark. “My name is Charmcaster by the way. I’m a royal mage and caretaker for King Kronos. Goodnight.” I said as the ground comes up to meet me.

Before I went fully out I heard her shout “SPIKE GET DOWN HERE I NEED YOUR HELP!”

Canterlot, a couple minutes later Celestia POV

I was enjoying a walk after finishing my breakfast before receiving a letter from twilight. This made me happy due to the fact I rarely hear from her or her friends anymore.

Dear Celestia

I apologise for sending you this message this early but a couple minutes ago somepony came into the library and reorganised it. After a quick explanation she fell to her knees and fell unconscious. But before going out she told us her name was Charmcaster and that she works for somepony named King Kronos.

We wrote to see if you had any information on King Kronos or Charmcaster?

Your’s truly Spike

When i finished reading i rushed inside to inform the guards to postpone the daycourt to the afternoon due to an unexpected trip to Ponyville. I quickly wrote and sent a letter to Spike telling him that I would be coming there to see if she was the real one. “Guards” I shouted getting the two guards beside me standing ready “Tell the chariot drivers that i’m heading to Ponyville” i said hoping that the Charmcaster wrote about was the real one.
