Chapter 1: Anyone Feel Like Breathing?

Anyone Feel Like Breathing?

"This is a pretty interesting plan, Luna, but what happens when we need air?" Twilight said, studying the map of Equestria's solar system.

Luna paced the room. "I believe I can dig up a spell or two that will help us with your dilemma." Luna answered, scanning Canterlot's library.

"A spell that can recreate oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide? I wonder what school that belongs to..." Twilight pondered.

"Alteration." Luna answered, levitating a few books from the shelves of the library.

"Another thing, princess. Why are we going to space anyway?" Twilight asked.

"Because I saw something out there that shouldn't be out there." Luna answered once more, firmly.

"Like what?" Twilight asked, intrigued.

"I honestly have no idea, lets just call it a...space alien thingy." Luna Declared.

Twilight giggled a bit before returning her gaze to the map. The two princesses sat in the room for hours trying to figure out how to get to space. Finally, Luna had a breakthrough.

"I got it! There isn't a single spell here that will help us get through the Troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, and thermosphere, right?" Luna exclaimed.

"Yeah, but what are we going to do now?" Twilight asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Were going to go to the castle and search for a spell in the Starswirl The Bearded section." Luna declared, ecstatic at her bright idea.

Twilight smiled before realizing. "Why didn't we just head over there in the first place?"

Luna, who was already making her way out the door, stopped in her tracks and face hoofed.

Later in the library, Twilight and Luna were searching through Starswirl's old spell books and scrolls in order to help them get to space without burning alive or dying from lack of oxygen.

"I don't think we're going to find anything here princess." Twilight moaned, disgruntled.

"We may!" Luna said.

"But Luna! It's been three hours!" Twilight retorted.

"I'm not giving up." Luna commented.

"Ugh fine." Twilight agreed reluctantly, slamming her head on the table she was sitting at.

After twenty minutes of searching, Twilight thought of something genius and stupid at the same time.

"Luna?" Twilight called out.

Luna looked up. "Yes Twilight Sparkle?"

"If I pick up a random scroll and read it, if it doesn't turn out to be a spell to go to space, then can we go home?" Twilight pleaded.

Luna sat in silence.

"Please?" Twilight pushed.

Luna sighed "Fine."

Twilight smiled slightly and without thinking grabbed a random scroll and read it. Five seconds later everything went black and the room itself, disappeared! The subtle darkness was disrupted by white dots that dotted it. Twilight knew where she was.

"Twilight! You found it!" Luna called, floating to Twilight, hugging her.

"Thank you princess, but uh, what are we looking for exactly?" Twilight asked nervously.

"Well, I was studying the night sky when I saw something glinting up here. It was a star, either because last time I checked stars are little white balls of gas, not blue and yellow lined with silver glinting in the moonlight." Luna Explained.

"So do you think its dangerous?" Twilight asked, concerned.

"Maybe, maybe not. You never know." Luna answered cautiously, not trying to throw her own opinion in the sentence.

"So once we find these, 'things' what do-" Twilight was cut off by a robotic voice that zoomed past her.

"OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, I'M IN SPACE!" Cried the unknown voice ecstatically.

Twilight spun around. "What the hay?!" She exclaimed.

Her eyes darted around until she saw what looked like a metal ball with a yellow eye.

"Princess?" She called out cautiously.

"I saw it." Luna said. "And I have no idea what it is."

"That is what's known as an idiot." Answered a british voice behind Luna, causing her to jump.

Luna and Twilight spun around to find what looked like the metal ball, but had a blue eye.

"Hi how you doing, the name's Wheatley." He greeted.

"What are you?" Twilight asked.

"What are you, ya flipping pony?" Wheatley retorted.

"You...you just answered your own question." Twilight hesitated.

"Yeah? Well, oh forget about it." Said Wheatley, floating off.

The yellow one floated towards Luna and Twilight.

"Space." It said, twitching.

"Space?" Twilight said.

"Bored of space." The metal sphere said.

Wheatley zoomed over to him. "Wait? So the infamous Space Core is finally shutting up about space? YES!" Wheatley cheered.

"You seem happy." Luna said.

"Let me tell you doll...horse...thing, We've been floating out here for ten years now! Ten bloody years! The only exciting things that have happened were getting sucked into a black hole last week and him giving up on space!" Wheatley exclaimed.

Space Core looked around before a happy expression creeped on his face. "OH LOOK MORE SPACE!"

"You've got to be kidding me!" Wheatley cried. "I swear to god, I only wish I could hit myself off of something, I'm that frustrated."

Twilight and Luna both looked at each other slowly before looking back at Wheatley.

"Listen, um, this sound really interesting and don't get me wrong, It sounds REALLY interesting, but we need to get going." Twilight explained, smiling sheepishly.

"I agree with Twilight Sparkle, we must depart." Luna cried out.

The two floated away from the two cores until Twilight realized something.

"Where the hey are we?"
