It was a fine day in Ponyville. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and Derpy was, well, derping. Derpy was going on her morning mail route, whistling a tune to herself. She flew along from house to house, sometimes crashing into pony's mailboxes when trying to land next to them. Derpy wasn't usually this happy, this early in the morning. You might be wondering why Derpy was so happy. Well, I will tell you. Derpy was getting married that weekend.

~~~Flash back 1 month~~~

“Will you marry me?” asked the blue pegasus
“Of course I will, Dashie!” replied the grey one

~~~Flash back 6 months~~~

Derpy was out doing her job as a mailmare as usual. She had almost reached the end of her route, when she saw she had a package to be delivered to a miss “Rainbow Dash” in the area. She saw on the package that this pony's house was in the sky. Derpy flew up to the house indicated on the package, and knocked on the cloud door. A pony almost immediately answered. Derpy had never seen so beautiful a mare. She could not help but be captivated by the perfect blue body, the wonderful rainbow mane, and those deep magenta eyes. Derpy snapped back to reality when she heard the pony whom she was delivering the package to calling to her.
“Miss? Um, Miss? Are you OK?” she asked.
“Err, yes, I'm fine” Replied Derpy
“I'm here to deliver a package for you. Are you Miss Beauti... I mean Rainbow Dash?”
“Why yes, I am, the one and only! Wait, what did you just call me?”
“Nothing, miss. Could you please sign on this line?”
Derpy handed the clipboard to Rainbow, but accidentally dropped it.
“Here, I'll get that for you, Miss. Do you mind if I call you Rainbow Dash?” Derpy reached for the clipboard.
“Thanks, and sure, you can call me that.”
Derpy could not help but stare at Dash's well toned muscles and body as she bent down and retrieved the clipboard. Her eyes lingered on her flank a little too long.
“Um, Miss...”
“Derpy.”
“Derpy, what are you looking at?”
“N-nothing” she stammered.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah.”
Rainbow Dash signed the clipboard and handed it back to Derpy.
“Anyways, Rainbow Dash, here is your package.”
Derpy dropped the package again, this time on purpose so she could have an excuse to get another look at this pony.
“Ooops, sorry, I'll get that.”
“Here you go, Miss Dash.”
“Hey, you seem like a cool pony, Derpy. Do you wanna hang out sometime?”
“Sure” Derpy replied, not believing that she was going to get to spend even more time with this wonderful pony.
“Here, tomorrow afternoon, at 3?”
“Sure, that would be great!” Replied Derpy.
“Bye then!”
“Bye”
Derpy flew off, accidentally crashing into a tree on the way back home. That evening, Derpy was sitting on her couch, and thinking. She knew what she felt towards the pony she met on her mail route that day was a feeling she had not felt towards anypony in a very long time. It was love.

~~~The next day~~~

Derpy woke up to her alarm clock, and tried to turn it off, but ended up accidentally smashing it with her hoof.
“That's the third one this week” she thought to herself.
Derpy got up, made breakfast, and went out to her mail route. The rest of the day was uneventful, up until 2:30 when she arrived home. She saw the time, and decided to get ready to go over to Rainbow Dash's house. She had a shower, and made sure to use here best-smelling shampoo. She hoped that her relationship with this mare would come out to be more than just friendship. She set off to fly to Rainbow's house. When she arrived after the uneventful journey, she knocked again upon the cloud door. Rainbow answered quickly, and said
“Hey Derpy.”
“Hi Rainbow!”
She entered Rainbow Dash's house and was gestured to sit down on the couch.
“What do you want to do?” asked Rainbow.
“How about we get to know each other a little better?” replied Derpy.
“That sounds like a good idea.”

Rainbow Dash and Derpy discussed about each other for a little bit, and by the end of it, Rainbow was feeling a little something towards Derpy as well.

“Should I make a move?” thought Dash.
“What if she doesn't feel the same about me?”

Despite being a normally courageous pony, Rainbow's courage was beginning to fade rather quickly. She decided that she would make a move.

“Umm, Derpy?”
“Yeah?”
“I think that we are meant to be more than just friends.”
“I think so too.”

Rainbow could not believe what she just heard. This mare who she barely just met wanted to be her marefriend. And she wanted to be Derpy's as well. Rainbow snapped back to reality as she found Derpy's mouth coming closer and closer to her own. They met, and the two passionately kissed for what seemed like hours, but was probably really only a couple of minutes.

“Wow!” said Derpy.

Derpy though that Rainbow should be known as the best kisser in all of Equestria, instead of the best flier.

“That was intense” said Rainbow.

The two ponies embraced each other, and fell asleep in each others arms on that couch.
