Prologue

It was morning in Ponyville, the simple little town had its own little touch to it; a little slice of heaven for everypony around to enjoy. But this day started with a frantic Rarity levitating material left and right; a constant stream of random objects that flew through the air void of any rhyme or reason. She was searching for something, but couldn't find it; though how franticaly she threw about the objects it was no surprise that she couldn't find a thing. She was looking for a small roll of orange coloured fabric; a leathery fabric for an order she'd gotten all the way from Canterlot! She was frantic to get the dress complete to avoid disappointing the nice mare that would receive it. But the dress would never be finished without that fabric!

The frantic shuffling awoke the small little filly, a small white unicorn with a hair colour that was a morph of two colours. It was Rarity's little sister, Sweetie Belle; she'd heard the frustration from her sister, and decided to see what was going on. She was at a complete loss of words, nothing she could say would describe the absolutely frantic mare that was pacing around looking for what obviously wasn't there. She approached her sister and tugged on her mane slightly, knowing any tug harder than that would 'Ruin her fabulous, wondiferous mane!' she'd always say.

Sweetie Belle looked to her sister with tired eyes, "Rarity? Why are you making so much noise? I have school in an hour, you know I need to sleep." The filly said, letting out a long, drawn out yawn; perfectly summarizing her mix of boredon, tiredness, and agitation. The mare turned around, her mane a mess; ribbon lay embedded in her hair, and her eyes were twitching psychotically. The filly jumped back startled by the deranged look on her face, "Rarity?! Why the hay do you look so crazy?!" she screamed in concern.

Rarity shook her head, and got a hold of herself, "I'm sorry Sweetie Belle, I'm missing a bit of fabric. Fabric i absolutely need to finish this order!" Rarity said apologetically. "Do you have any idea where it could be?" Rarity asked her little sister, who just returned an awkward smile. "Sweetie Belle, you didn't..." the white unicorn said her face starting to droop slightly in frustration. The little innocent looking filly looked at her sister and lowered her head which Rarity had come to know meant 'Yeah, I did....'

Rarity let out a frustrated bellow scaring the little filly shitless, her ears ringing from the loud scream; seeming to burst her very little filly ear-drums. "Rarity, please don't do that!" Sweetie Belle said holding her ears which were still ringing like a tinny, cheap alarm clock. The filly looked at her sister as she paced back and forth in a straight line, which frankily caused the little filly to start to get nervous. "Rarity, are you... you know... feeling okay?" the little filly said looking into her older sister's eyes, which quickly turned around and were bloodshot.

"I'm sorry Sweetie Belle, I've been working on this for weeks! I wanted it to be perfect for the mare from Canterlot! There's so many opputunities in Canterlot. The main reason being that most ponies there actually wear clothes," Rarity sighed as something struck her mind quickly. A sudden, spontaneous idea; her grin grazed from cheek to cheek. Nopony knowing what dark thoughts she now harbored in the recesses of her usually nice and wonderful mind. She stopped her dark gaze and turned to Sweetie Belle. "You know your little friend? Scootaloo or whatever, would you like it if I said she could come over?" Rarity said hiding her dark smile.

The filly's eyes shot up and sparked, "Oh boy would I! I would love it if she could come over! But Apple Bloom is sick, so it'll just be me and her then. But me and Scoots can have fun without her! Not as much. but still fun nonetheless!" The filly ecstatically ran in a circle until her sister stopped her. "Oh, sorry Rarity. I got a little over-excited didn't I?" she let out a small awkward smile. "I've gotta go to sleep now, Thanks for letting Scoots come over when we get off school though!" The filly said making her way back up the stairs, not seeing Rarity's dark grin the resonated on her white face.

"Oh don't worry Sweetie Belle. It's a day that Scootaloo is going to die for." Rarity said as she turned away and looked at the dress. Orange, just the colopur she needed; but that wouldn't be enough. It seems she would have to pay Applejack a bit of a visit...
