MINI: I Know You!

I walked down the street, my foals tucked in each of my arms. "Baux...so, you don't mind me carrying you anymore?"

She nestled back into my arm. "...No."

"Liar." I jeered, leaning down to her. "You cried the first time I picked you up." I stared at her, making sure to look up every so often to keep from bashing myself on a pole. "Well?"

Baux pulled off a rather harsh pout. "...You hurt me."

"I cleaned that ear." I stated, poking her with my nose. "I'm just glad to see you don't hate me." I felt something strange on my shoulder. I stopped dead, peeking to the side and finding a pale man peeking up at me. "Uh, can I help you?"

The man looked me up and down, forcibly turning me to face him. "...Ben Wesk?" He asked, holding me by my arms. "That's you right?"

"Uh, how do you know my name?" I asked, feeling a deep discomfort in the seat of my pants. "Can I help you?"

The man leaned his head down and took a deep breath. "I fucking missed you man." He pulled me tight against him, forcing my foals against my chest as he hugged me. "God damn, I fucking missed you man." He pulled me tight against him, tucking my head against his shoulder. "...I'm so happy you're alive."

I tired to push back, the man letting me go without a fight. "Uh, that's...great, now who are you?"

The man sighed extremely loudly. "Dude...it's not even worth explaining. I know you, you helped me out a long time ago, I watched you get shot in the head, and now you're here." He stuffed his hands in his pockets. "I know I sound crazy, but we knew each other in a different world, just...meeting you here is--"

"That's actually not that crazy." I stated, looking the scratchy looking man over. "You haven't seen the other shit I've dealt with today. You saying that, I'd totally believe it."

The man looked me dead in the eyes. "You believe me when I said I saw you get shot in the head? Like, you believe me when I say we were in a war together in a different universe?"

I tucked my foals against my and raised my hands up. "Dude, it really wouldn't surprise me if you were speaking the truth right now."

The man groaned softly. "Equestria is screwed up, right?"

"Very. Very, very, very, screwed up." I hoisted my foals up, stretching my arms and leaving them cooling like fresh bread. "I saw a mare with robot legs today."

"I had my head cut off a while ago." The man stated.

"I was named Count of a medieval city."

The man chuckled softly. "I was torn from my universe to sit around here for a while."

I started to laugh too, left with no reason to doubt him over the other facts I've seen today. "I have nearly one-hundred-fifty children."

"I'm married to a princess...." He stated, sounding rather disappointed. "I know I don't sound too happy, it's just been a long week."

I nodded. "My wife's family tried to kill me, so I know the feeling."

"Yeah...and everyone thinks I'm an asshole." The man crossed his arms. "I guess I am."

I looked down at my foals. "Is he a jerk?" I asked in thestrali.

Wayne pulled off my arm, staring at the man. "Yellow!"

Baux looked at him too. "That's not yellow, that's brown."

"Yellow!" Wayne hissed again.

The man grabbed his head. "It's brown."

"Yellow!" Wayne stated, defiant as ever. "You, yellow!"

The man just wore a sour frown. "I swear to god, don't yell Able, don't yell. It's a kid, don't yell."

"Yellow!" Wayne shouted again, leaning out of my arms towards the man. "Yellow yellow yellow."

The man stared at Wayne, his lips pressed together achingly hard. "So...I'm gonna go before I say something I'll regret." He turned to the road. "Name is Able, in case it wasn't obvious."

I pulled Wayne back against me. "How would it be obvious?"

Able turned around and threw his hands up. "The war thing? I guess memories don't extend past the fucking fabric of reality."

"Now that's crazy." I stated, turning towards the road home. "Well that was odd."

"Yellow!" Wayne shouted, his extremely raspy voice starting to bug me too.

"Alright Wayne--"

"Yellow!"

"Wayne!" I shouted, "stop it!"

Baux climbed over my arms, leaning against Wayne's head and biting his ear. "Shhh" She hissed, leaning against him and chewing on his ear. "No yellow."

I stared down at the couple of foals. "Aw...the future generations of Equestria will be beautiful."
