I ran through the garden that surrounded Lance's house, looking for an easy way in. I spotted an open window nearby, I felt like Ezio from Assassin's Creed. But he was the good guy in the story, I shook that feeling off that I was doing wrong, I was just taking my revenge. I laughed to myself, I wasn't who I used to, I was better. I climbed through the window and looked around in the darkness. I was in the kitchen, perfect. I began to scan the room, I found the entrance, the living room, and several other doors. I guess Lance has got his other friends here... better be more stealthy. I detected some stairs and began to climb up until I reached the second floor. Perfect, I saw a few more rooms, I opened the first one. I saw Lance and Twilight sleeping together in the same bed, I closed the door and opened the one next to it. Bingo.
It was Spark's room. I took out the potion and put it in a milk bottle, I gently picked up Spark in my hooves, I wanted to smash the damn thing up against a rock. But I wasn't THAT heartless... yet.
Spark opened his eyes, I looked down at him with a smile. Damn, he was adorable. WHAT THE HELL? His eyes! They're... like a snakes! I shook my head, I wasn't seeing things! I tried to keep my smile and gave Spark the bottle. He latched onto it, drinking every single drop... I heard it hiss into my head.
"His innocence... he can only feel happiness... He will not fight you when the time comes."
I grinned, and set Spark back into his cradle. After nearly waking up Greg, I was able to avoid getting caught. I made the trip back home, the sun was just rising, but I felt like I was going to pass out. I jumped into my bed and fell asleep.
I woke up, I looked at the lock. 2 PM. Great, I went over to Canterlot, I wanted to catch up on Luna, I haven't been caught... this was good, my plan was working. Damn shame that the potion only worked on smaller ponies. I didn't mind, another one bites the dust. The guards nodded at me as I entered and I nodded back, saluting them. I felt... different. I didn't feel as angry as I did before, but then I felt something press against my skull from the inside, and I heard the voices again.
"Make her shame."
I knew exactly what to do. I felt like I had two sides, calm with Luna, angry without her. I knocked on the door, and it revealed Luna and Frederic. I smiled at both of them, thank god I took those acting lessons when I was younger.
"How are you doin' Dorchester?" Frederic asked with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back, I felt... at peace. Odd.
"Good, I see everything is fine, I saw Spark." I said, still smiling.
"He's just the cutest little thing, isn't he? Can't wait for ours." Luna blushed after Frederic kissed her on the cheek. He laughed nervously.
"Luna told me all about you and her. I'm sorry man, but Luna learned her lesson, didn't you?" Frederic said, laughing.
"Yup, no more insanity!" Luna giggled. No insanity for her, more for me. I felt my eye twitch and my body get a sudden urge to run at Frederic.
"You okay buddy?" He asked me, I nodded. No... not yet.
"Well, me and Luna where just about to go on a picnic, you wanna join us?" Frederic asked, he jumped off the bed and walked over to me. He was much larger, he had large wings, along with his horn. Oh I would kill to snap that thing in half... it would feel so good...
"Yeah, sure. I'd love to!" I jumped at the chance to gain Frederic's and Luna's trust. Anything to make it look like I was innocent.
"Awesome!" Frederic smiled and playfully knocked my on the shoulder with his hoof. I laughed with him, I felt... happy. I heard the voices again.
"Don't forget your goal..."
"Yeah yeah yeah" I said out loud. Luna and Frederic looked at me akwardly.
"Excuse me?" Frederic asked, cocking his head to the side.
"Oh, sorry... I'm just not feeling well... I'm just a bit tired." I said.
"That's okay, you still up for the picnic?" Frederic asked me hopefully.
"Of course, what time should I join you guys?"
Frederic looked at the clock. It was a quarter to four.
"About half an hour." Frederic said. He looked at me and I nodded. Today was going to be a great day.
"I'll see you then." I turned around to leave, then Frederic put his hoof on my shoulder, I turned around to see Luna smiling at me and Frederic. He lowered his head down to mine and spoke quietly.
"I uh... just want to thank you for not... you know... taking any form of revenge." He whispered into my ear.
"Yeah, no problem. It's all in... the past." I looked down painfully. Avoiding Frederic's gaze. I walked out of the room, one last thought popped into my head before I walked away from the closed door of Luna and Frederic's room.
Maybe... I'm doing the wrong thing... I heard a hiss in my heard.
"NO! You will not forgive her! She put everything, literally, at stake! You will have to show her true punishment!"
I sighed and continue to walk towards the exit. So many things went through my head that day...
I just didn't what to think anymore.
