Chapter 1: White
It's snowing like crazy, just today there was tons of new snow…Might as well stay inside with a hot mug of chocolate, and watch My little Pony.
As I was watching, I had warm feelings. Colorful, bright feelings, even though nothing else was there to see outside, just blank whiteness. It even covered up some cars.
I didn't think, there was anything more normal than this usual white snow plain, since it's a nice and welcome change of they grey it usually is, which we call "city".
It's actually pretty calm in comparison. Since I live on a small street, there isn't much traffic, which is why the snow doesn't get carried away. I have to use a bus stop even further away than it is anyway at the moment, but that's fine, it's only 10 minutes walking each morning.
I was watching some episodes, as the winter wrap up song started up on my monitor.
Immediately I sang along with all the ponies, knowing that no one would mind, since no one ever asked what I do in my room…Well, if I lock it, they'd get rather mad and guessed for the worst, but luckily I was just a closet brony, and not doing anything unethical.
As I was starting to watch the 3rd episode in a row, my mobile rang. Its old, but it does the job. I immediately stopped the video, and looked at the number…
Oh, it's just Chris.
"Hey dude, want to come over?"
He asked me. Chris is the only one that actually knows, that I'm a brony, since he is one himself. It really helps, knowing that there are other people outside of the internet sharing my joy for the show.
"Very funny, you know just as I do, that I can't just come over since we moved. Besides, I'm kind of busy."
I answered in a sarcastic, but still nice voice
"Seriously, My little pony is great, but you can't just lock yourself up in your room, and watch it all over and over and over and over again, I mean look at the weather, it's a nice snow day. Come over, I'll order us some pizza, and after that, we will go out catching some fresh air."
After that he just rang up, knowing that I would take on the 1 hour bus ride, just for visiting him…And free pizza.
One extremely boring bus ride later, I arrived at the bus stop and went to his home, rang the door bell, and he let me in, greeting me, and handing me over the pizza. The room was pretty warm, my feet were heated up by the floor heater.
"So…Is it something special, that you invited me over for?"
I asked curiously, while looking around. His room is still the same, small room as always. His desk with his Computer on it, His red chairs, the wooden bed and some wardrobes, that's pretty much it. Only one big window lightened the room, together with a very weak desk lamp.
"Not really, I just wanted to return the favor."
Chris told me, while eating his pizza. He looked like always, his long hair which was just barely longer than his shoulders and with that only one or two inches longer than mine. His grey, simplistic T-Shirt and the jeans didn't tell too much about him, neither did the neutral facial expression.
"Just eat up already; I don't want to sit in this room here all day."
As usual, he was almost finished, while I had my first 3 pieces eaten.
We got our jackets and left the house.
We went down two little, completely in snow covered streets, and then came to the small frozen lake.
"Ok, I'll be honest with you. I have to share something with you."
He showed me a small cave, just so big that he and me could fit in, if we would go after another.
"This cave here, it seems to have…Something in it."
"Something?"
"Yes, something. It just appeals to me, and I don't know why."
"Well…Thanks for the pizza and all, but this isn't a reason to call me over."
But just as I replied that, the ground broke apart underneath our feet and we fell.
-------
I didn't remember only one thing, but that I woke up in a very bright hospital. It had 3 big windows, letting in a lot of light, which made the room much more comfortable.
An unknown, but yet somehow familiar face was the first thing I saw.
"You're awake! Thank Celestia, you are alright! You…Are alright, aren't you?"
As the first of the two female voices spoke to me, I still couldn't quite see everything, so I asked:
"Where am I…And who are you? And…Ow!"
As I tried to question my reasons of being there, I noticed the pain in the head and that I remembered nothing.
I only knew that I had the worst headache of all time.
"Well, You seem to have hit your head pretty hard, you better thank our friend Applejack, since she is the one who brought you here just in time."
"Well, I was laying out seeds, and then you suddenly fell down from the sky like a stone would." She replied.
Wow wow wow, wait a second.
Applejack? Like the pony Applejack? Like in… My little pony!?
"I certainly do have a bad headache…Thanks…Eh Applejack."
"No need to thanks, It's what every pony would have done."
Again, a relation to ponies! I really hurt my head a lot I guess.
I started to open my eyes completely, and I was shocked:
Applejack stood there, and the nurse from that one episode, and everything looked so cartoony, yet so color and beautiful.
After pointing this out, I asked myself: Is this real life? Or did I just hit my head too hard? Is it a dream?
And if its reality, who am I? And why the hell is the only thing I remember the name of this orange pony with the straw hat and freckles? And wait a second...Oh my gosh!
"Wow! I am a pony? What the hell?!"
"Well, duh. We all are."
Applejack replied in a sarcastic voice.
I couldn't believe it. I am a pony. Dream or not, it feels really…real.
But…how do I get back? Why am I here in the first place? If it is no dream, do I have to find the other side of that hole and climb it up? I…Do remember this place from somewhere.
As I was inspecting my body, I could say that I am a normal pony, around the age Applejack was. I have long, brown hair, and a lightly orange skin color.
And then I suddenly remembered, what this all was, a show made up for kids, that has a huge community and lots of fan made stuff and 90% of them are older than 15 and they still love the show for what it is and…Why is this all I can remember? And much more importantly,
What is my cutie mark?
As a true brony I just had to look at it, what would it be? Well, the nurse disrupted me.
"You should be fine, just rest a bit at home and you can go."
Yeah…Home. I think I had a home before, but I'm not even sure. I only remember that I was able to watch my little pony.
I still have to figure out, how to get back, wake up…Or not. But first things first, maybe I actually am a pony now! Or never was, or…Wow this is confusing.
I tried to give it a shot, maybe someone around knows me, and I lost track in time and were a pony for a longer time!
"Applejack, do you know me?"
I asked in hope for an answer, but she sadly replied:
"Sorry, pal. I never saw you before around here. Do you even know from where you are from? Maybe that could help. You don't seem to be a Pegasus, neither a unicorn.
Don't you remember any kind of friends, or your Family?"
"Eh…Not really. Actually, the only thing I remember is waking up here in the hospital bed and talking to you."
I said, as I wondered, how it comes that the only thing I remember is, that I love My little pony. I still wondered if this was a dream, or everything until now was just a dream…Or not. Maybe I always was a pony and the show is reality, maybe I'm actually sucked into the land of Equestria… I seriously didn't know.
"Don't you have a home of some kind?"
She kindly asked
"Not that I know…"
I had to reply.
"Well, that won't be a problem, you can sleep at our house, I own a pretty comfy-"
"Apple farm."
I disrupted her, not knowing that I shouldn't be knowing of it.
"Eh… yes. How did you know?"
"I just guessed…I guess. But is it really alright if I just sleep at your place? I mean, you don't really know me, nor do I know you."
Oh man, that was a close one. I should better shut up, if I don't want thousands of mares having personality problems, and I really don't want to confuse anyone. Or me.
"I don't think this will be a problem, and you certainly look like you could need a place to sleep so…What do you say, do you come to my home?."
Applejack grinned slightly at me
"That's really kind, just saving me and then even picking me to your home. Thanks a lot. Of course I will."
I stood up, and the nurse told me that it would be fine and all I need is some rest.
We left the hospital, and I had to see, that there was a some snow, but some of it already thawing. Everything was very bright, and colorful. It just filled me with joy.
Even though everything looked just amazing, it surely was very cold, and I shivered a little.
"Don't worry its warmer inside the house. Let's hurry up before you catch a cold as well."
Applejack told me while I was gazing upon the great lands of Equestria.
I didn't really want to hurry up as much as she wanted me to, because I wanted to see everything of this awesome place.
And if my eyes didn't deceive me back then, I saw Rainbow dash, flying quickly through the clouds to make them disappear. Her rainbow mane left a trail of six colors, and she got assisted by some other pegasi which I didn't quite remember.
But I can surely tell, that they were almost finished with the winter wrap up.
Later on, we arrived at the Shed and I got introduced to Big Macintosh, Granny Smith, and Applebloom, which all greeted me very nicely. Big Macintosh, the red big steed, just said hello with a little grin on his face, Applebloom was very questioning, but got disrupted by her older sister. Finally, Granny smith stood in front of me and asked me who I am, and what I do here. I told her, how I fell, how Applejack saved me, and then invited me over here to sleep here. "What?" She held her listening horn onto her ear, as Applejack told her: "I'll explain later, but let's get you to a bed first.
Then she showed me a small room with a stack of hay, a pillow and a blanket on it. "It's not very comfortable, but it should do the job." I nodded and I let myself fall into the bed, which felt much better than Applejack explained.
"It's alright, thanks a lot!"
I replied, as I closed my eyes and smiled
"You're welcome, but now get yourself some rest. Maybe you need just that to get your memories back. Good night." After she said that, she went outside.
I was so excited, that I thought I would never sleep, but the cold, yet nice weather still got my hurt body tired, so I fell asleep rather quickly. I wonder what will happen next, since this all still seems so unreal to me. Next Chapter: Colors Estimated time remaining: 1 Hour, 6 Minutes
