"Aw, come on, Dashie. We've been parted since our wedding day. And you've been unconscious for at least two weeks. Why can't we?" A stallion whined as he stroked a mare's mane. A sat on the large brown chair, slouching as a pegasus mare leaned against him. Her head resting on his ice blue chest. Both their weapons and cloaks on the table. Allowing the two ponies to embrace each other's warmth.

"I'm sorry, Soarin. But I can't. Equestria is still one hoof in a grave. Until it's safe, then we can. It just doesn't feel right that we have happiness when other ponies are getting killed." The mare apologise. Stroking the stallions chest in a circular direction.

"Okay, Dashie. I see your point. It wouldn't be right. I just thought..." He trailed off.

"Soarin. I promise that after this is over, we will, okay?" Rainbow said softly as she watched her stallion nodded his head.

"Okay. But that better be soon." Soarin joked as he hugged Rainbow. As he hugged his lover, who kissed him further, his hoof slipped onto her stomach. He circled his hoof before stopping. Slowly, he parted from his lover's kiss. Who stared at him in confusion.

"Soarin?"

"Our foal....what happened....?..." He muttered.

"What....?" She squeaked, not really wanting to bring up the sensitive subject.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there....but what happened? What happened to our foal?" He asked. Turning to the rainbow assassin, who held her head down. "Rainbow, please tell me. I loved our unborn foal. I love you. I have a right to know how our foal died."
He grabbed Rainbow Dash, sitting her up. He then used his hoof to raise her head. She gazed into his emerald green eyes. Sighing in defeat.

"I...I....I'm weak. I'm too weak to bear a foal. My body wasn't able to support the foal. So....it died....inside of me....the doctors told me that I could try to have foal, but the chances of it living are slim." She cried. "It's hopeless."

"Hey. It's not hopeless at all." He tried to defend. But the mare had none of it.

"It is. All I've ever wanted was to live happily. With a stallion to love and a colt or filly. But I couldn't. Nopony ever loved me. And my job just made things more difficult."

"Stop. Dashie, you need to stop hanging onto the past. Whatever has happened, forget it. I know that you haven't had the best past, but-"

"I have. I let go a long time ago, Soar. When we first kissed. I no longer thought of my past. Only the present and future. As long as I am with you in the present, the future will truly shine." She smiled, embracing Soarin in a hug. Soarin chuckled lightly as he stroked the Rainbow's mane as he hugged her back.
The couple cuddled in silence. Happy to finally love each other once more. They were happy, content.

"Dashie....do you still hate Twilight?" Soarin asked quietly, making the mare sit up.

"Hmm? Why?" She tilted her head.

"Well, Twilight is your friend. And she's always been there for you. It wasn't her fault that she turned against us."

"I know....I don't hate her. Twilight....Twilight Sparkle is a strong pony. She's my best friend. She changed my life for the better. And I'll do everything to get her back." Rainbow said confidently, turning towards a photo left on the desk. The photo was all her friends at a picnic. With Twilight flying in the sky with Rainbow, Fluttershy and somehow, Pinkie Pie.
The happy memory of laughing with the girls brought a smile to her face.

"I understand. If it wasn't for her, I would have died. Twilight is an amazing pony. And so are you."

"I can't be that amazing if I couldn't protect her. I'm the Royal Protector. I guard the princesses with my life.....and I couldn't save her....or you...." She muttered.

"Hey, hey. It wasn't your fault. You didn't know. Rainbow Dash, you are the greatest at what you do. And that's defending Equestria. It's time for you to finally lead Equestria to victory."

"You mean, it's time for us. We're doing this together." She grinned, lifting the stallion's hoof and holding it. Soarin stared at the hoof and then at Rainbow, before smiling. Rainbow Dash grinned.

However, her grin faded as her gaze fell upon the open window behind Soarin. Staring at the orb in the sky. Soarin stared at Dash in confusion.

"Dashi-"

"We've got to go. Now!" She leapt off his lap, grabbing her cloak and galloping out of the door. Soarin quickly followed, still utterly confused, picking up his own cloak and following the mare.

"What is it?"

"What's going on?"

"Why is getting darker? The sun is still out."

"The sun. Why is it doing that?"

A crowd of ponies gathered in the centre of the small town of Ponyville. All confused, shocked and scared. Some stared crying and wailing that it was the end. Some just stared in dismay. Others held their families close. They all cried out as the great gem in the sky flashed violently. Swallowing the skies into darkness.
Ponies all over Equestria stopped their activities and watched the sun. Dreading the near future. All towns and cities grew silent. Everyone stopping dead in their tracks.

A crowd of mares and stallions dressed in white cloaks stood outside of a large, elegant mansion. Staring past the trees. Mesmerised by the event in the sky.
A cyan pegasus skidded to a halt, gasping loudly. She shook head, muttering to herself. The ice blue stallion followed, stumbling back as he finally noticed the flashing sun.

"Dashie?" He squeaked.

"No....we're running out of time." Rainbow muttered.

"What?"

"Come on!! We don't have long!! Mea sicariorum!! In proelium! Now!" She yelled out her demands. The ponies in the white cloaks glancing at each other before nodding confidently.
"Good. They're ready...hopefully. She back at the sun which had stopped it's flashing, but the sky was still dark.
"Please hang in there. We can do this. We can win."

"We can."

This chapter, god, why did it take so long? Sorry for the wait. This chapter is just a filler.
The next chapters shall be Twilight's POV, then back to Dislestia. Then it will be all together. Then it shall be Solitaire's and Dashie's POV.
