He dragged his hooves across the floor, his eyes gently closed and sighing. His ice blue wings limply hanging by his sides as he walked through the corridors.

"Why won't you trust me, Dash?" He muttered, not noticing the hovering draconequus before him.

"Maybe she does, but can't trust herself." The draconequus replied. Making the stallion jump. He fluttered his wings as he stared at the God of Chaos in front of him.

"What? What do you mean?" Soarin asked. Confused by the draconequus.

"I mean, she does trust you. She just can't trust herself, believing she'll get hurt again." Discord explained.

"How would you know this? You're the God of Chaos, not love and advice." The pegasus continued walking. Pushing Discord away, who slowly followed the stallion.

"I may not be an expert. But...I know these type of things."

"Really? The Creator of Disharmony knows about love." Soarin hissed. Discord opened his mouth to speak, yet nothing came out. He lowered his head in shame.

"You may not believe it, Soarin. I have also experienced this. What you are feeling." He mumbled, the stallion turned and looked at Discord. "It may sound crazy and unbelievable but it's true. All my trust was put onto one pony. Who I stupidly fell for."

"Didn't you like her?"

"Of course I did. I still do. I was just so stupid. So very stupid." Discord lifted his head and glanced upon a stained glass window. Placing his claw upon the white alicorn pony. Unaware of the the same alicorn down the hall, hiding by a door as she listened in.
"I guess I wasn't right for her. She never loved me. And why should she?! I screw everything up! I create a path of destruction! I betrayed my own family to be with her! And she threw it back into face!" Discord gritted his teeth as he smashed the window. The stallion beside him gasped as the shards of multicoloured glass fell onto the floor.

The two stood in silence, starting at the broken glass.

"I never deserved her anyway. She was...too perfect for me."

"That might not be true." Soarin tried reassuring, but the draconequus ignored him.

"Listen, Soarin. Times may seem dark and unbearable, but that's only because you haven't reached the light at the end of the tunnel. Keep trying and keep believing, and soon, everything will be happy again." Discord smiled gently to the pegasus, who was shocked at the Chaos Creator's sudden soft advice. What shocked him more was the tears, building up in his eyes.
"Heartbreaks are never easy. Some are more damaging than others, but only two can mend a broken heart."

"Wow....thank you." The stallion thanked, stunned by the draconequus. "Listen, this may sound weird, coming to you about love problems, but I think something's wrong with Rainbow."

"Hmm? How so?"

"I don't know. She just seems...sick. She's a lot more tired. And slower."

"What do you think then?"

"I don't really know. I'm just worried for her." The stallion sighed as they stood in silence. Staring out of the broken window.

"Give her this." Discord muttered, breaking the silence, and handing an item wrapped up in a white cloth to the pegasus. The Wonderbolt stared at the item and then at the gently smiling draconequus.
"Take it."

Slowly, Soarin picked up the covered item. Pulling off the cloth, and gasping at the item in his hooves.

It was a beautifully decorated dagger. With a brown, swirl carved handle. Engraved on the stunning, clean blade were two names.

Sunset Breeze
Lighting Blitz

"Wait! Where did get thi-"

"A friend. I met her a while back in Manehatten. She found it and sent it to me to find the owner." Discord explained, wiping his own tears away. "I may seem blunt and stubborn to others, but I'm not stupid. And I'm not heartless either."

"You just can't comfort it like she did." Soarin finished. Making Discord chuckle lightly.

"Thank you." He patted the draconequus' back as he trotted away. Hoping that his loved one would accept this gift and himself again. Discord watched the stallion walk away with high hopes, unaware of the trotting alicorn.

"That was very nice of you, Discord." She complimented as her aurora mane sparkled in the sun's light as it began to set. The God of Chaos jumped up as he turned around. The grand white alicorn stood below him as he hovered into the air.

"Only doing what I can." Discord replied, glancing at the alicorn's sweet smile. "I've...I've got to go."

"Really? Where?"

"Erm..." Discord didn't understand why he was making an excuse. He could just click his claws and disappear. So why was he stuttering so much. "Oh! Fluttershy! She's in the Gardens! Gottagobye!!" He sheepishly grinned as poofed out of the hall. Leaving the chuckling princess.

"Oh, Discord." Her white cheeks glowed red as she trotted down the corridor. With very distant memories on her already busy mind.

~~~~~~
She sat quietly at the dressing table, staring at the mirror in front of her. Her rainbow mane ruffled and drooping over her tear soaked, cyan face. Her hooves held up her head as she stared at the crying mare in the mirror.
"Tomorrow is your very last day."
"I know."
"Do you think he's ready?"
"I don't think anyone is ready."
"Yes, but, do you think Soarin is ready?"
"I-I...."
"Oh, Rainbow Dash."
"I don't know. He's improved, but I can't teach him anymore. I'm becoming weaker. I can feel it."
"Just continue with a strong mind."
And a weak body."
"Weak." The cyan mare muttered. Her body aching. A large bruise was marked on her side from earlier. The poison within her finally taking it's toll on her. She weakly moved off her seat and laid across the bed. Her sore wings outstreched on the covers.
"How am I going to tell them?"
Rainbow lay there, stuck in her thoughts. Her heart beating irregularly as she breathed heavily. She tried going through senarios in her mind, on how to explain to her friends that tomorrow was her last day. The very last day of her life before it ends suddenly. She didn't know how her friends will take it, or how Soarin will take it. But she just hoped that she could help Equestria before she dies. Before her life's end.
She buried herself under the red covers, curling into a ball. She wanted him to be by her. To hold her. But she didn't. She couldn't. He'll only hurt her again. Slowly, she fell asleep. Her rainbow mane covering her face.
However, before she finally fell into a deep slumber, a pony quietly trotted in. Standing by her bed with a gentle smile. The pony bent down and placed his lips onto the mare's forehead, before stroking her mane and walking off.
Rainbow felt a smile creep up her lips, with her tears dripping down her cheeks.
"Too soon. It's too soon." She croaked. Crying herself to sleep. Dreading the next day to come. Hoping that it will be all okay.
Yet, hoping won't stop the fear and sorrow to come.
