Chapter 4: Like Mother, Like Daughter Part 2

"She locked herself in the bathroom and won't come out." Twilight said as she sat back down on the couch next to Firefly.

The older woman shook her head. "I should have known she would react like this."

"Why is your relationship with Rainbow so strained anyway? Did ya'll have a fight or somethin'?" Applejack asked, handing the woman a warm cup of hot apple cider. She retook her seat next to Pinkie and gave the woman an attentive look.

"Something like that." Firefly murmured.

"Oooh story time!" Pinkie squealed only to be shushed by the other four girls as Firefly took a shaky breathe.

"It was about a month before she moved here to Ponyville..."

Rainbow Dash slammed the front door closed as she followed after her mother, fuming. “How could you?!”

“Squirt, listen please I-” Firefly tried to explain.

“You knew how important this is for me!” Rainbow shouted at her. “You freaking knew!”

“I did know. I still do. Something just came up and I won’t be able to make it. This isn’t the first track meet I’ve missed.” Firefly responded, sighing as her daughter stormed around the house seething.

“Do you know how many meets you’ve actually made it to?! Three. Three freaking meets mom! And you wanna know when the last one was? Fifth fucking grade!” Silence fell upon them as Rainbow’s words hung in the air. “This is my last track meet of my high school career. If you’re not going to be there, then I’m not going.” The rainbow haired girl said with finality. She began to stride up the stairs to her room.

“What?! But what about those people from the colleges?! Won’t they be coming to see you?!” Her mother called up to her. “You can’t just throw a fit just because I wont be there! You need to start acting like an adult!”

Rainbow stopped dead in her tracks. She spun around furiously. “Me?! I need to start acting like an adult?! You really wanna go there?! How about you act like a fucking mother for once and think about your child and not your stupid job?!” And with that, Rainbow slammed the door, separating herself from her mother for the rest of the night.

“I really wanted to go and cheer her on, but the deal I had to strike with the people my company had been working with was just as important. The meeting ended early, and I rushed over to the school only to learn the competition had just ended.” Firefly sighed. “I feel awful about the whole thing but she just won’t listen.” She chuckled a little. “She really is my daughter. Just as stubborn as me.”

Twilight put a hand to her chin in thought. “Hmm...If she won’t listen, then we’ll just make her listen. Applejack?” She called to the girl beside her.

The farm girl hummed in agreement. “Eeyup.”

“And how do you all suppose you’re gonna do that?” Firefly asked skeptically.

Applejack proudly raised both of her biceps grinning. “With the help of Bucky Mcgillicuddy and Kicks MGee.”

The door to the bathroom was jerked open, nearly scaring the crap out of Rainbow. She had been so busy sulking that she didn’t even realize it was open until a pair of tan hands yanked her up from off the floor.

“What the hell, Applejack?!” She demanded, kicking and trying to wiggle out of her friend’s grip. But it was no use. Applejack was one of the strongest girls she’s ever met. She may not have looked like she had the muscles to back the claim, but once she got a hold of you, you’d second think your position on the matter.

“Yer gonna talk to your mama whether you like it or not!” Applejack grunted as she struggled to keep Rainbow Dash in her arms. She may have been stronger than her, but that girl was fast and could easily maneuver her way out of someone’s grasp if she really wanted to.

Rainbow Dash was promptly thrown in a chair in the living room in front of everyone. Not a second later, she felt rope being tied around her midsection by Applejack. Only then did she stop fussing. With Applejack tying her up, she wasn’t going anywhere.

Firefly flipped a chair backwards in front of Dash and sat in it. “Great. Now that we’ve got you, I’d like to talk to you for a moment.” She said smirking. Rainbow refused to look her in the face. Firefly rolled her eyes. If she wanted to do this the hard way, they could do it the hard way. “Twilight, c’mere for second?” She said, motioning towards the princess. Twilight pointed a finger to herself for clarification, and when Firefly nodded, she crossed the room.

Firefly stood up out of her chair and then stood behind Twilight. All eyes were watching them curiously, wondering as to what the businesswoman was about to do. Firefly lead Twilight to the chair then made her sit in it. Rainbow stopped fuming long enough to give her mother a questioning look that was replied with a sly smile.

Firefly then walked behind the chair so that she was now standing behind Twilight. “Okay. Since you want to be a little stubborn bitch, let’s play a game.” She directed towards her daughter as she put a hand on Twilight’s shoulder. “For every minute you don’t talk, I will do something naughty to Twilight.”

The other girls in the room gasped. Twilight’s head snapped up at the woman above her, then quickly gave her friend in front of her a worried look.

“You’re bluffing!” Rainbow shouted at her.

“Am I?” Her mother countered, raising an eyebrow. She let her slim fingers ghost over Twilight’s neckline, causing the girl to shiver.

“I-I don’t think she’s bluffing.” Twilight stammered, squeezing her legs together. A blush was creeping on her face, and it wasn’t just from the embarrassment.

“Fine! I don’t care as long as you stop molesting my friend in front of me!” Rainbow Dash shouted with her eyes closed, trying to shut out the image of her mother fucking her friend. A small part of her thought it was hot even though she fully knew it was morally wrong.

Firefly smirked triumphantly. “Good. But just know, the moment you stop, I’m gonna make little Twilight here scream my name.” She patted Twilight on the back. “Now, why is it that when I came all the way out here to see you, you don’t look so happy to see me?” She asked her daughter a little hurt.

“You know exactly why.” Rainbow grit through her teeth.

“Hmm, I do?” Firefly hummed as her red lips touched Twilight’s neck causing her to gasp. “Care to elaborate?” She added, one of her hands creeping up Twilight’s shirt. Twilight squeezed her legs together even more and squealed when Firefly’s lips found themselves on her collar bone.

“You skipped out on my track meet. And then you didn’t even apologize for it.” Rainbow mumbled. She had long ago repressed the memory.

“Oh but honey, that was almost two years ago. You have to let it go sometime.” Her hands were getting a little frisky, as she was wrapping them around Twilight’s breasts. Then she leaned over and looked inside Rainbow’s shirt and gasped. “Dashie, you never told me you started wearing bras!”

Rainbow blushed. “I-It’s a new thing! I didn’t do it because you told me to!” She replied defiantly.

“Then why did you?” Firefly asked her curiously, stopping her assault on the girl in front of her much to everyone’s relief. “There must be a specific reason you just suddenly decided to wear bras and not bind your chest.” She folded her arms as a cocky smirk crossed her face. "I've been bugging you for years to put on a bra and you've always refused. What could possibly just up and change your pretty little mind?"

“Soarin! The Wonderbolt~!” Pinkie answered for her exuberantly.

“Dammit, Pinkie!” Rainbow growled, throwing her head back angrily feeling betrayed. She tried to wiggle one of her hands free, but couldn’t. She dared herself to look up at her mother, who was all ears.

“Oh, do tell me about this Soarin boy.” She egged on, never breaking eye contact with her daughter.

“He’s one of the newest members on the team. If I remember correctly, you endorsed him, did you?” Rarity questioned, a little amused.

Rainbow stared daggers at her.

“That I did. Looks like my little Dashie has an itty bitty crush.” Firefly pulled up another chair next to her daughter, the smirk brewing on her face a dangerous one.

Rainbow’s eyes widened in horror.

Firefly put an arm around her daughter. “Looks like you’re staying put, sweetie. We’re gonna be here for a while.”
