Cole woke up on the couch, a headache searing itself into his brain. He did not remember any of the events of the past day. he tried to get up but his stomache lurched, causing him to reel over in pain. It had been two months since he had been teleported to Equestria, an alternate universe where the dominate species is the pony, but unlike the ponies of our dull, colorless, lifeless world, they are intelligent. seals, otters, and whales are intelligent but i am talking the intelligence of human beings, well maybe smarter, they care for their world.

He heard the sounds of pans and knives coming from the kitchen. Wow, he thought, Applejack must be in the kitchen making breakfast already! Despite His brain begging him to stay put he trudged over to the kitchen to see if he could help. When he entered through the archway he found it was not Applejack cooking but the infamous Big MacIntosh who was putting the morning meal together. Oh well, Maybe it's not her but i should be a polite guest and ask to help anyway. Cole's heart dropped the slightest ammount, he loved helping Applejack just because he felt comfortable around her, more so than any of the other ponies he had met since his arrival in Equestria.

"Hey big mac, Um, do you want any help cook... um, er, doing anything?" Big mac looked up, almost startled, almost, and stared at cole for a moment sizing him up. He had always looked at cole as if he was an alien, well actually, come to think of it he was an alien, well he at least thought he was an alien, he wasn't sure where exactly he came from.

"EENNNNOOOPPPEE." Big Macintosh's soft but deep voice cut through the silence shattering the train of thought Cole had caught on to.
