Chapter 4: 4: Pinkie Pie

4: Pinkie Pie

“Howdy!” Pinkie Pie said, poking her head out of the doorway. “Glad you all could make it!”

“I wouldn’t miss it for the world!” Rainbow Dash responded.

“Neither would I!” Fluttershy agreed.

Pinkie Pie stepped back and let us walk inside.

It was a small party; having lots of balloons and streamers everywhere, a record-player playing music, a various party games, and a small table of refreshments.

There wasn’t anyone here except for Applejack, Rarity, and Twilight.

Rarity was making herself some punch, Applejack was bobbing for apples, and Twilight was throwing darts with her magic at a dartboard hanging on a wall.

Rainbow Dash flew over to Applejack, knocking her head out of the water and taunting her; Fluttershy walked to Rarity and started chatting.

It took me a second to realize I was standing alone with Pinkie Pie.

“You know, I forgot to throw you a surprise welcome party,” Pinkie said. “I don’t know how I could forget; I mean, I NEVER forget to throw somepony a welcome party.”

“You didn’t need-“

“But seriously, I don’t know what made me forget! Maybe Twilight running into me somehow messed up my brain, or maybe you sounding like Twilight, or maybe it was even Gummy’s checkup-”

“Who’s Gummy?” I interrupted before Pinkie’s endless words continued.

“He’s my pet, an alligator!” Pinkie Pie turned her head to reveal an obviously toothless, baby alligator biting her mane.

Maybe Gummy thought it was cotton candy.

“Anyway, thanks for the invite,” I said. “I don’t get invited to parties that often.”

“It’s no problem at all! Any friend of mine is always welcome to my parties!”

Pinkie Pie skipped off joyfully somewhere, swinging Gummy up and down with every bounce.

I leaned on the nearest wall and watched everyone enjoy their time.

I usually like being the one who stays in the back quietly and watches everything, both literally and metaphorically.

Rainbow Dash dunked her head underwater for a few seconds and came up with an apple clenched in her jaw. Applejack gave an annoyed look and dunked her head into the large bucket-thing and pulled an apple out a second later.

Rainbow’s jaw dropped, along with the apple, which splashed into the water.

Rarity and Fluttershy were still chatting happily by the refreshments.

Twilight’s had been replaced by Pinkie, who had the darts tangled up in her tail, chasing it like a dog to get them out with her teeth.

“Having fun?”

The sudden voice made me jump. I turned about to see Twilight standing behind me, smiling broadly.

“You really shouldn’t surprise me like that,” I said. “I might over-react and send you flying somewhere.”

“I didn’t know you can make ponies fly!” Twilight responded, oblivious to what I was saying.

“What I meant was I might be startled and hit you with so much strength you’ll be launched.”

Twilight’s smile faded so slightly it was almost undetectable.

“Why didn’t you tell me you had super strength?!” Twilight exclaimed quietly.

“Did I not mention it?”

I was pretty sure I did.

She shook her head. "While I've got you here, I need to ask you something important."

"Sure," I said.

"I was instructed by the princess to do a bit of research on you, to learn about you and your species.

"What do you mean by 'research'?" I asked.

"I'll just ask some questions and do a few experiments on you, nothing big."

I don't like to be a lab rat. What can I do to replace myself?

What would Twilight like?

"How about I just give you some books about my world, from the time it started to the time it ended, and everything that happened and everything about it?"

Twilight's eyes widened. "You can do that?"

"I can summon anything I want, of course I can," I remarked. "I'll come to your house later to give them to you."

"Sounds great to me!" Twilight said excitedly, trotting off.

I leaned on a wall and closed my eyes for a minute.

I can't reveal myself to everyone. Depending on how Rainbow Dash and Twilight acted, I'm sure they'll all just use me. Hell, even Fluttershy took advantage of my kindness.

Maybe I should just go and live in isolation, away from everyone and see if I can find some way to get home.

"Hey, are you sleeping?"

I opened my eyes to see the eyes of Pinkie Pie a centimeter away from mine.

"No, I'm not," I assured.

"Oh good, you're awake!" She exclaimed, taking a step back. "I was starting to think my party was so boring you fell asleep! But then I thought 'My parties aren't boring' but then I thought 'Then why is Christina sleeping?' So I came over and you were awake and so it proves my party isn't boring!"

She said everything so quickly it was hard for me to keep up.

“So, what’re you up to?” she asked.

“I’m just standing here that’s all,” I said. “I don’t usually do much when I’m around others.”

“Then what do you do when you’re alone?”

“Various things; mostly just doing whatever I feel like.”

“Well, why don’t you do those various things here!?” Pinkie suggested.

“Because I’m not comfortable with doing them around you guys just yet,” I explained. “I’ll decide when to do them around you or not.”

“But I’m your FRIEND!” she exclaimed, putting her hooves on my shoulders. “You should ALWAYS be comfortable around your friends!”

I took Pinkie’s hooves with my own and placed them onto the ground.

“I will not repeat myself,” I stated.

Pinkie Pie’s smile became a frown as she walked away over to the refreshments table.

I closed my eyes again, thinking to myself.

They don’t seem so bad, what’s there to worry about?

Possibly because of the fact that they might only be my “friend” because I can give them anything they want.

Well, I can stop being so nice and actually doing what they ask, and see if they’ll still be my friends.

That might be a good choice.

“Are you SURE you don’t want to do anything around us?” Pinkie’s energetic voice said from in front of me.

I sighed.

“Yes, I’m sure,” I responded, not opening my eyes. “I’ll do them eventually when the time comes. Don’t keep bugging me about it or otherwise I won’t do them, ever.”

“But if I don’t keep bugging you about it, how will I know you don’t forget to do those various things with us? You might forget all about it and NEVER do them with us because you forgot about them!”

I opened my eyes and placed my hooves on Pinkie’s shoulders.

“If you’re so eager for me to show you, take me somewhere away from everyone else,” I said. “I can’t do it in front of your friends yet.”

“B-but they’re your friends too!” Pinkie objected.

“I know, but the things I do is a secret, I can’t go around showing them off to everyone. Look, just wait until after the party, then I’ll explain everything to you.”

The party had ended several hours later; it was nearly nightfall.

Everyone was saying goodbye as they went out the door. Twilight was the last one out, who stopped in the doorway.

“Are you coming, Christina?” She asked.

“I’m staying with Pinkie for tonight,” I said, nodding towards the bubblegum-pink horse.

“But what about the research?” Twilight added in a whisper.

“Tomorrow,” I responded in the same voice level.

Twilight nodded and left, closing the door behind her.

"Soooooooo what's your secret?" Pinkie asked happily, turning to face me.

I sighed, changing my voice back to normal and pulled of my hood.

Pinkie gave a large gasp and screamed for a split second, which was halted when I had my hoof on her mouth.

"Calm down," I assured. "It's still me, Christian. Well, Christina, really."

Pinkie's eyes widened a little at my words as she attempted to speak, but to no prevail from my hoof still on her mouth.

"I'll take my hoof off of your mouth if you promise to be a good pony and sit quietly while I explain, got it?"

Pinkie nodded.

I lowered my hoof back onto the ground and sat down, Pinkie mirroring my action.

"Why do you look like that?" Pinkie questioned. "Is that a spell?"

"No, it's not a spell," I explained. "This is my true form. I look like this whenever my eyes are shown."

"Why?"

"Because I'm not normal, as you might have noticed. I'm not from this world. I'm not even a pony, I just look like one so I won't freak anyone out."

"Then what do you really look like?" Pinkie asked eagerly.

I inhaled a deep breath, exhaling it a moment after.

"Are you sure you want to see?" I wondered. "I'll only do it if you promise not to freak out."

Pinkie shook her head up and down so fast it was only a blur.

I changed myself back into human form, feeling my bones and organs change and rearrange inside of me in a matter of seconds. Once everything was in it's proper place, I was kneeling on my hands and knees, looking downward at the floor.

I stood up from the ground onto my two legs, waiting for a response from Pinkie.

She didn't say a word, but st there with her jaw hanging open.

"Surprised by my appearance?" I asked.

Pinkie was still speechless, but she nodded in agreement.

"I figured. Now, allow me to explain everything," I said, sitting down onto the floor, eye-level with the pink horse.

"I am a human from a world called Earth. It's kind of like Equestria, except it's ruled by humans instead of ponies. I can't really explain what all humans do, because so many of them do different things. Anyway, humans ruled the Earth for thousands of years, until they eventually killed themselves through war..."

"You can sleep in my bed!" Pinkie exclaimed later when we were in the dark upstairs bedroom, bouncing on her bed and messing up the sheets.

I had once more told one of Twilight's friends everything about me and my kind, and once more they had agreed to keep it a secret.

"Are you sure?" I asked. "I don't mind sleeping anywhere else."

"Of course I'm sure! Why would I ask you if I wasn't sure?" Pinkie responded. "But I don't think you could fit while you look like that, though..."

I changed back into pony form as soon as Pinkie went quiet.

"Oh, that's much better!" She said with a smile.

Pinkie hopped off of the bed, grabbed the sheets with her teeth, and tossed them into the air. Pinkie quickly lied down on the bed as the sheets fell perfectly neat on top of her. Pinkie pulled out her hoof from underneath the covers and pulled out a nightcap (which wasn't on the bed a couple of seconds ago), fitting it upon her head.

How the hell is anything she does possible?

"You sleeping or not?" Pinkie said. I rolled my eyes with a smirk and trotted over to the opposite side of Pinkie's bed, rolling onto the bed as I covered myself up.

"Goodnight!" Pinkie said, closing her eyes and began snoring.

"Night," I said with a chuckle.

I woke up the following morning to something bouncing up and down on the bed, shaking me up and down rapidly.

"Wake up! Come on! Wake up!" Pinkie Pie's excited voice said. "I want to play a new game I thought of!"

I didn't bother telling Pinkie off for waking me up. I have a feeling that she doesn't do this normally.

"What game did you want to play?" I asked, standing out of bed and stretching widely.

God that feels good.

"I wanted to play Pirates!" She responded.

I didn't know that pirates existed in this world. I don't know much about the kind of pirates Pinkie knows about either, but she seems pretty excited about it.

"Rainbow Dash would NEVER play games like Pirates with me, and all my other friends say they're busy all of the time. But you're not busy! You said you don't do anything last night! I never had a playmate forever!"

This was all said very quickly.

Well, she DID say that she has never had any of her friends play with her before. I guess I could do it for her this one time...

"Sure," I said. "I don't mind playing with you."

Pinkie squealed and zoomed up to me in a heartbeat, squeezing me as much as she could (which wasn't very much due to my invulnerability). Pinkie hugged me for quite some time, not making a sound.

It's getting pretty awkward.

I decided to break the silence by asking "Where are we going to play?"

Pinkie Pie released me and brought a hoof to her chin. "I never thought about that before…" she said. "I was always thinking about playing a game with somepony that I didn't think of a place to be…"

A place to play Pirates...

All I know about pirates on Earth is that they were basically murderous thieves with boats, but children believe that they hunted for buried treasure; so I'll try to make it a bit "childish" for Pinkie.

That would require an ocean, an island, and somewhere to find a treasure chest.

Unless this world has anything like that and I never heard about it, there isn't anywhere that could make a place like-

Wait, maybe there is...

It may not work, but it's worth a shot.

"Pinkie, grab my arm," I said.

Pinkie Pie didn't say a word and obeyed, clinging her hooves around my left arm.

I want to go to my Realm.

A purple spiral of fire enshrouded me and Pinkie, revealing a large flat, circular, purple-ish rock we were standing on. Every direction we would look was nothing but dark rain clouds creating a sphere around the platform, as if the clouds were a planet and we were what was inside.

My god, it worked.

A sudden thought caused me to whirl around in search of hope.

But to my disappointment, the portal that I remember back to Earth was not here.

I gave a large sigh and faced Pinkie.

"Welcome to my Realm," I said, Pinkie's jaw dropping as her eyes went one way to another.

It didn't take long for her to look around, because there wasn't anything to see.

Pinkie darted several meters over to the edge of the stone platform and looked down.

"Whoa," she admired. "Where is this place?"

"This is my Realm," I repeated, explaining. "This is basically my world. I can change this world into anything I want, and have it do anything I want it to, such as turning it into another place."

"Oh! Oh! Can you turn it into Sugar Cube Corner?" Pinkie asked, oblivious of why I brought her here.

"We were literally just standing there," I remarked. "The reason I brought you here is so we can actually play Pirates, meaning that you and I are going on a little adventure."

Pinkie's eyes widened. "You brought me here to take me on a pirate adventure!?" She exclaimed. "This is gonna be super DUPER fun!!! Thank you so much Christian!!!"

Pinkie gave me a great big hug as she finished her sentence, pinning my arms to my sides.

"Don't thank me yet, we haven't even started," I said.

I want my Realm to become the best Pirate experience Pinkie will ever have.

The clouds surrounding us began to swirl, gaining speed as the stone beneath our feet burst into purple embers.

"W-what's happening?!" Pinkie exclaimed, sounding terrified as she clung onto me even tighter.

"What you wanted me to do with you in the first place," I responded, morphing myself into my pony form.

I created a pirate outfit for myself; a long red coat with buckles, black trousers, a peg leg and an eyepatch (for a more "pirate's touch"), and a red pirate hat to match the coat.

Of course, the clothing was black, because one of my eyes weren't covered.

The sudden outfit change startled Pinkie, causing her to let go of me and fall onto the now-wooden ground.

My Realm had finished altering itself; we were standing on the deck of a large ship, in the middle of the ocean filled with clear skies and waters.

The soft splashes of small ocean waves hitting the ship could be heard.

I tilted my hat to hide my uncovered eye to look normal for Pinkie.

Now I can't see a damn thing.

I want to be able to see through any clothing that covers my eyes.

My vision returned, and Pinkie Pie was gazing out into the open blue.

I trotted over next to Pinkie and gazed out with her.

The ocean was as blue as the sky above it, splashing and moving as free as can be.

"It sure is nice, isn't it?" I said.

"I've never been on a pirate ship before!" Pinkie said, again in her excited tone. "Or on a regular ship, or on a pirate, or on an adventure, or-"

I put my hoof over Pinkie's mouth before she continued her endless words.

"I get it," I remarked. "Now, shall we get started on our adventure? Or do you want to stare out onto the seas some more?"

Pinkie brought her hoof to her chin and thought for two seconds.

"Lets start our adventure!" She yelled, throwing her hoof into the air.

I conjured an old letter, levitating it in front of me as  I read out loud; "To any loyal pirate who reads this; I have an adventure for you."

Pinkie gasped.

I ignored her and continued. "I am the mighty pirate of the seas known as Green Beard. By the time you read this, I'll be long gone. But my treasure won't be, and I want to give it to the most loyal of loyal pirates in the seven seas."

"Oh! Oh! Pick me! I'm loyal! I'm loyal!" Pinkie said, jumping into the air.

I continued; "Your first task will be to find the Rock of The Ocean. Your ship is magically enchanted, and will take you there automatically."

"So exciting! A magic ship!" Pinkie said as she continued jumping.

"Your next step will already be there. P.S., I left you all a friend down in the cabin. Don't leave him, he's going to keep you company."

My eyes hit the blank bottom of the letter as I finished my sentence, so I crumbled up the letter with my telekinesis and threw it off of the side of the ship.

"I'll go and check out this 'little friend' that he talked about," I told Pinkie, turning around to face the door to the lower part of the ship.

I walked over to the door and opened it, seeing nothing inside  but a couple of old wooden stairs into darkness.

I conjured a flashlight that levitated by my side, revealing a long staircase down onto a wooden floor.

I already know about the eyepatch trick that lets you see in the dark, but I see through my eyepatch, so it's like I'm not even wearing it.

I descended down the staircase slowly, in case some stairs might give out.

Something was telling me that Pinkie was standing in the doorway watching.

I looked behind me to see that my feeling was correct.

The sunlight from the doorway showed that Pinkie was standing in the doorway watching me.

Pinkie noticed I was looking at her and waved.

I waved back as I touched the floor, looking straight ahead. The flashlight showed several stacks of crates and barrels.

There was a steady creaking throughout the lower deck, each about three seconds long as the ship tilted on one side, a moment of silence, and another three seconds of creaking as it leaned in the opposite direction.

I trotted forward, moving left and right past the crates and barrels full of who-knows-what, looking around for something alive.

"Did you find our friend yet?" Pinkie called from above.

"No, not yet," I yelled back. I pointed the flashlight behind a crate, to shine upon a brown teddy bear.

The bear's fur was a little rough and worn, a couple of stitches in various places and an ear was missing. The bear also had black buttons for eyes, also one of them was missing.

"Never mind," I said loudly.

I levitated the teddy bear onto my back, had the flashlight vanish, and teleported in front of Pinkie Pie onto the staircase.

My sudden appearance startled Pinkie, causing her to stumble backwards outside.

"Sorry," I apologized, stepping outside and giving Pinkie my hoof, helping Her up. "But I like teleporting. You'll have to get used to it."

"So who's our friend?" Pinkie asked.

I turned to my side to show her the teddy bear on my back.

"Awww it's so cute!" She said, picking it up with her front hooves.

In the corner of my eye, I saw that we had arrived at some kind of stone spire.

I turned my head to see it correctly: it was a statue of a stack of stones (each stone getting smaller as the tower got higher) with a serpent encircling it.

There was an old paper that was aged yellow pinned to the statue by an old cutlas.

My telekinesis pulled out the sword and brought both the paper and the cutlas to me.

I stabbed the cutlas into the wooden floor of the ship and looked at the paper, Pinkie peeking over my shoulder as I read out loud;

"Congratulations, you had been able to pull out my personal sword. That is your starter reward; the sword of the greatest pirate of all time."

Pinkie quickly tried to pull the sword out to admire it, but to no prevail.

She gave a small sigh and went back to hovering over my shoulder as I continued reading the paper.

"But you are only scratching the hull of the ship, my friends. There is a much greater treasure if you venture further..."

Before I could continue reading, a large BANG sound went off in the distance. I spun my head around to see what could have caused it, and out of nowhere a large cannonball clunked off of the top of my head, squishing my hat and landing on the wooden deck, breaking a board or two as it rolled away.

I should be dead right now.

"CAPTAIN!!! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!!" Pinkie screamed directly into my ear.

I fixed my hat using my telekinesis, turned to face Pinkie, and responded with "I think I can tell," walking over to the side of the ship.

Out into the distance stood a large, dark-brown vessel with a black sail, moving swiftly across the seawater around us.

"Pinkie," I said, "you're First Mate. You get to return fire."

Pinkie saluted me and ran off towards a cannon that I had not noticed before (and that's surprising, because it's twice as large as Pinkie or myself).

Pinkie turned the cannon towards the distant vessel and fired.

The cannonball had been shot straight, and went into the water about twenty feet away from the ship.

Pinkie looked puzzled from the results as she reloaded the cannon.

"It's affected by gravity, you have to aim higher to get a longer distance," I explained. "And when it's moving how it is, you have to shoot in front of it."

"Really? It's that easy?" Pinkie said, sounding surprised. "This is gong to be fun!"

Pinkie Pie tilted the bak part of the cannon downwards and spun it with the encircling ship around us.

Pinkie took a shot, sending the cannonball high into the air.

It went flying for almost three seconds, before it splashed directly in front of the enemy ship.

"Alright," I said, "I'm not going to have some random boat sink my ship to stop this adventure."

I conjured a homing cannonball (not really technology, but it came from my imagination) and gave it to Pinkie.

"Use this instead of those normal ones," I said.

She nodded and ran over to the cannon, placing the magic cannonball inside of it.

Pinkie aimed the cannon carefully towards the enemy ship, moving as they did and fired. We watched as the cannonball become a glowing-violet flame and zoomed at high speeds towards the slightly-distant vessel.

The cannonball took about two seconds to smash into the side of the ship, emerging from the other side and coming around to slam into the main deck.

The ship immediately began to sink (rather quickly too), and it was submerged underwater a moment later.

I went over to Pinkie, patted her on the back, and had the letter come back over to me so I could continue.

"You were just attacked by an old friend of mine. He was part of this and knew what was coming. If you had successfully beaten the best sailing pirate in the ocean, then you are worthy of finding my island."

"We just beat the best pirate EVER!?!" Pinkie exclaimed in excitement.

"Actually it says he was just the best at sailing," I said. "That's why he was moving so fast."

I continued reading: "My island is north of the Rock of the Ocean. It is rather small, but you can't miss it."

We're almost finished already?

That wasn't much of an adventure...

The ship turned sharply, catching us off our guard and making us fall onto our sides as it sailed forward.

When I was back on my feet (or hooves, rather), I already saw a small dot on the horizon.

Damn this is short.

"Oh boy! I see the island already!" Pinkie said, jumping and pointing as the island became larger and more clear as we approached.

A few moments of Pinkie running around in excitement, the ship stopped about a kilometer off shore from the island.

The island itself (from this point of view) was about as large as four city blocks.

"The ship stopped," Pinkie said, sounding surprised. "How do we get to the island?"

I rolled my eyes, grabbed Pinkie, and teleported us both into the beach.

"Oooh, that's how," she said, placing a hoof onto her forehead and giggling.

Pinkie trotted some feet away and tripped on something green and shiny sticking out of the sand.

My telekinesis took it out, revealing a letter in a bottle.

I opened the bottle and slipped the letter out, levitating it in front of me like the others and read aloud: "My treasure is behind the third rock on the left. I hope your adventure was great."

"Awww, over already?" Pinkie groaned. "I was having so much fun!"

I don't see how this was fun at all.

Pinkie zoomed off somewhere, and who zed back and said "Can I have a shovel?"

I summoned a shovel in the air and stabbed it into the ground in front if Pinkie.

"Thanks!" She said, pulling it out surprisingly easy and zoomed back around a large boulder.

A split second later, dirt was spouting overhead as though it was liquid along with a rapidly repeated sound of a shovel hitting the ground and being lifted.

How the hell is anything she does possible?

I walked over to see what she was doing, but before I could, an old wooden treasure chest landed directly in front of me.

"I wonder what's in it?" Pinkie thought out loud.

I was about to open it, but a small piece of parchment nailed to the side caught my eye.

The chest levitated into the air from my telekinesis, making a large amount of clinking sounds, and adjusted itself so I could read it.

"The key to life lies within your friends," I said as I read.

"What does that mean?" Pinkie questioned.

"It means you're nothing without someone to accompany you," I explained.

What does this even have to do with this?

The chest fell onto the ground with a huge CLASH sound, and it wouldn't open when my telekinesis attempted to.

Wait a second.

Key...

Within...

Friends...

I have an idea.

"Can you hand me that teddy bear?" I asked.

Pinkie blinked in a confused look.

"Please give me the teddy bear," I said very clearly.

"Oh! Why didn't you say so?" She said, pulling the teddy bear from behind her (although she doesn't have any pockets) and presented it to me.

I conjured a knife and cut the bear's stomach open, creating a gasp from Pinkie.

An old rusty key could be easily seen through the stuffing.

I had the key fly out, pulling some stuffing with it (getting another gasp from Pinkie), and land inside of the chest's keyhole.

A quick look showed me that Pinkie had tears in her eyes as she was holding the rather thin teddy bear close to her.

"Don't worry," I consoled, "I'll get you a new one."

And so I did, having it appear right in front of her face.

She didn't look up and continued holding the one in her arms.

"Don't you want it?" I asked.

Pinkie shook her head and gave a small choke.

"Do you want me to fix that one, then?" I questioned further, having the new bear vanish.

Pinkie slowly nodded.

"Alright then. I'll fix it as soon as the game's over."

I turned to face the chest correctly and turned the key, lifting chest a moment after.

Inside of it was a very large pile of golden coins with skull designs on them, jewels, crowns, and even a pair of swords.

"Wow! Look at all of this!" Pinkie said, walking over with the bear on her back.

She admired the treasure for several moments, putting her hooves within the coins, grabbing a handful (or, rather, a hoof full) and dropping it back in to enjoy the sound it makes.

"We have the treasure, so now what?" Pinkie wondered.

It can't be over already. I have to make this better.

Lets spice things up a bit.

"Now," I said, levitating the swords out of the treasure chest and facing Pinkie, "you meet your end."

Pinkie Pie took a couple of steps back from me.

"W-what?!" She exclaimed through shock.

"You see, I only used you for several things. I never intended on SHARING the treasure once we found it."

"Wait!" She yelled, still backing away.

"Now, if you wish to live, you will fight me like a true pirate would."

I threw one of the swords directly into the ground a foot in front of Pinkie.

"Take it to defend yourself, or die like a coward," I explained.

I have no intentions of actually hurting her in any way, I just thought it might be fun. But to be safe;

I want my sword to bring no harm to Pinkie. I don't even want her to be able to notice if I hit her.

Pinkie grabbed the sword with her teeth and withdrew it from the ground.

"That's it," I said. "Now, fight!"

I grabbed the sword with my hooves and leaped into the air, bring my sword downward.

As I expected, Pinkie dodged it by moving out of the way. She ran at me with her sword, ready to slash horizontally, but I deflected her attack by bringing my sword up vertically. Pinkie was rebounded by a step or two, giving me time to give a couple of random slashes (I didn't know that a pony could move like a human so easily).

Pinkie blocked several attacks by moving her head, causing the sword to move with her jaw, but one or two missed by no more than a centimeter.

She rushed at me, swinging the cutlass frantically as I attempted to block and avoid them. She ran out of energy quickly, so I kicked her straight in the chest, causing her to fall over onto her back.

I walked over to her, raising the sword above me with my telekinesis, ready to thrust. But, again expected, Pinkie rolled out of the way, grabbing the bear as she did, and I stabbed the hard ground of the island.

I gabbed it with y hooves and attempted to pull it out (I can pull it out in a heartbeat, but I just thought it should be fair).

I was too focused on pulling my sword out to notice Pinkie, but I have to check to know what to do.

Stop time.

As the rushing sounds of the waves stopped, I twisted my head around (trying to keep my pose) to see that Pinkie was spinning with her sword, very close to me in fact.

I stood up and took a couple of steps to the right and faced the action.

I noticed quickly that Pinkie is spinning so close, in fact, that she's about to cut something of mine.

I'll make this fair...

I want to create a vulnerable clone of myself right in my exact pose I had when time was frozen.

A spiral of purple flames erupted in front of my cutlass that I was using, looking as though he was struggling to pull it out.

I want to make myself invisible.

Invisibility is a cool ability, I admit, but it sucks that I can't use it outside of my Realm.

Well, back to the action.

Play time normally.

The sounds of the ocean returned, a single grunt of mine was heard while I yanked before Pinkie had completed her spin, beheading the vulnerable clone.

The clone's head had a surprised look on it's face as it rolled over to the side.

The body was gushing out deep purple blood as the head leaked identical blood.

I never knew what color my blood was.

Pinkie had just realized what had happened, taking a humongous intake of breath, dropping the cutlass, and falling to what her supposed knees are.

Her mane and tail popped like a balloon, blowing out air and becoming extremely straight and long as she burst into tears.

Pinkie grabbed the clone's body and apologized repeatedly between chokes and sobs, burying her face into it's chest.

I didn't know that she would be so emotional.

"I am so sorry, Christian," Pinkie uttered once more from the clone's chest, this time sounding quite unlike herself.

I walked over to hear what she was saying better. "It was an accident, I'm sorry. I remembered that you said you couldn't get hurt. I thought it would just bounce off of you like that cannonball did on the ship. I am sosososososososososososo sorry."

"You're forgiven," I said, making myself visible.

The Realm scorched in purple flames, revealing it's regular state just as it was before.

The body, chest, swords, sand, ocean, island, and even the sky were all gone, and I was back into my regular pony-version clothes.

The only thing I let stay was the teddy bear, because I said I would fix it.

"What?" Pinkie said, hiding a choke. "Y-you're okay?"

"Yes, it was just for dramatic effect," I explained. "I just thought it would be a nice finish for an adventure with the captain turning on-"

My sentence was interrupted by a mouthful of bubblegum-pink hair. The next thing I know, Pinkie was holding me as tight and as close as she could.

"Thank Celestia you're okay," she said. "I was so worried that I wouldn't see you again."

"We had just met the other day," I stated, "why would you be so concerned about me?"

"You're my friend, Christian. I'm always concerned about my friends."

I'm her friend.

She actually meant it when she said that I was her friend, and proved she cared about me.

I haven't had anyone care about me in over three thousand years...

I returned the hug greatly, holding as much of Pinkie as I could. I embraced her more than I've ever done to anyone else before.

"Nobody has cared about me like that for a very long time," I said. "You are one of the only ones I trust in this world."

"But what about Twilight?" Pinkie said. " And Rarity? And Applejack? And-"

"I don't even trust all of them as much as I do towards you," I interrupted.

"But they're all really good ponies! They-"

"Nothing will change my mind about them unless they do something that proves they truly care about me."

I want us to go back to the normal world exactly where we were when we arrived.

A split second of purple, spiral flames later, we were standing back in Pinkie's room in Sugar Cube Corner, the sun was shining a lot brighter than before.

We released one another, and I levitated the teddy bear off of Pinkie's back and observed it.

The bear was very thin, almost nothing but cloth now that most of the stuffing is gone, and the slice in the stomach was very noticeable.

I want all of the necessary supplies to be levitating with the bear and fix it properly.

A sewing kit was conjured into the air. A needle, roll of dark brown string, and several handfuls of stuffing came out of the kit, which had then vanished.

The stuffing began placing itself into the bear, evenly filling the insides of the arms, legs, and body.

Once all of the stuffings as fully filled, the brown string tied itself to the needle. The needle began stitching the bear's stomach closed.

"There, done," I said after it was finished. I had the bear go into front of Pinkie, who gasped in joy and hugged the fully stuffed bear.

I didn't fix it any further because I liked how the bear looked.

"Thank you SOOOOOO much Christian!" Pinkie exclaimed, giving me a swift peck on the cheek.

"Tell no one about this," I explained. "Not even to the ones who know, because they'll bug me about it. Don't speak," I added as Pinkie opened her mouth. "It's out little secret, okay? You can say we played pirates and I have you that bear but nothing more. Got it?"

Pinkie Pie nodded her head and made a movement of zipping her mouth shut with her hoof.

"Good." I gave Pinkie another quick hug and said "It's been a nice stay, but I really need to do something for Twilight. Thanks for letting me stay."

"And thanks for the adven-I mean thanks for the game!" Pinkie said, keeping her promise and smiling.

I turned to open the door, but it was barged open before I could, and Twilight was standing there huffing.

"The....princess...is...here..." She said between gasps.

"Which one?" Pinkie said.

"and why?" I added.

"Celestia...she's here...for you..." Twilight answered, collapsing onto the ground.

I levitated Twilight into my back and exited the building, heading for Twilight's house (which I assume is where she'll be).
