Her whole body felt sore. Sore to the bone. Her coat was cold. So very cold. And her head. Oh dear Celestia. It felt like somepony had whacked around her head with mallet. She raised her hoof to examine her head to find something weighing it down. She slowly flickered her eyes open, to see straight away...nothing. Nothing but darkness. The mare saw a glimmer of orange light at the corners of the....where ever she was. She squinted through the thick blanket of shadows. She could faintly see rusted bars. As her rose eyes grew used to the gloom, she could see slimy, dirty walls. Chains connected to the walls. Then, something close moved. She quickly turned to the unknown object, to see the outline of a creature. An ice blue creature.

Then it hit her. Hard. Not the fact that the mare was in some prison, but she had failed her task. Her mission. She had failed everything and everyone. Her friends. The princesses. Countless ponies' lives. She had failed them all.

The pony laying next to her yawned. And then sat up. He lifted a hoof up to his face and rubbed his eyes. Then he turned to the mare.

"Rainbow! You're awake!! Thank Celestia!!" The stallion hugged Rainbow Dash. Although chained, he could still move. He was a stallion of course. A strong stallion. A strong, caring, handsome stallion.

"Wait, what?!"

"You heard me."

"Are forgetting something?"

"What?"

"He's the reason why you failed. You got caught before you could finish the Lords off."

Rainbow's eyes snapped open wide.

"I was so worried. You were unconscious for so long and were so cold. I thought you were gonna die. So I stayed close to keep you wa-" His sentence was interrupted as a pair of hooves pushed onto his throat. Rainbow was on top of the Wonderbolt, pushing down on his throat. Ridding him of any air.

"You bastard!! You screwed everything up!! You made me get caught!! You made me fail!!" She yelled as the stallion choked.

"I-I...I'm....s-s-s...orr...y." Soarin spluttered.

"Sorry? Sorry?! You cost me my chance to kill the Lords!! My only chance!! Now it's gone...." Rainbow slipped off of the stallion. Soarin coughed and spluttered as he gasped for air. Rainbow slumped to the ground. Her chains clashing. The metal rubbing her skin raw. Unlike Soarin, she was weaker. A mare. The chains were heavy. And it took more effort to move. To make it worse, she was already weak. She hadn't slept properly in weeks. She hardly ate and she worked herself till she would collapsed. She lay on the floor. On the verge of tears. But she couldn't cry. Crying doesn't solve anything. When Soarin managed to breathe again, he looked over at Rainbow. Her head was in her hooves. He felt guilty. He blindly cost Equestria's only chance to regain peace. He had doomed the land he loved.

"I'm sorry, Rainbow. I guess...I guess...I'm an idiot." He muttered

"Yes. Yes you are!!"

"Oi!! Stahp a'guein' ya stinkin' brats!!" A black bulky unicorn grunted. His horn glowed green as the barred door. "'Ey there. Ya a pretty mare. It's a shame tha ya doon ere. Nasty place." He trotted up to Rainbow Dash. "Ya won't last a week, Miss. A mare like ya-self never last."

Rainbow snorted.
"Why? What's wrong with me?"

"First of all, ya'll an assassin. An assassins are hated around ere. Second of all, tha masters are really mean. Ah mean real mean. An ya look ill. Very pale. Ya'll be lucky ta stay awake through tanight."

"BUSTER!!" A voice boomed. "DON'T TALK TO THE PRISONERS!! YOU SIMPLE MINDED FOAL!!"

"Yes sir. Sorry sir." Buster replied.

"AND BRING ME THE ASSASSIN!! AND THE WONDERBOLT!!"

"Yes sir!"

The room was no better than the cell they came from. Dirty, grimy, stuffy. It was hard to breathe. Rainbow dash was chained to the floor. Four sets of rusted old chains around her hooves, held her firmly to the ground. And these chains were heavier than the ones before. Also, her wings were opened wide. But were also tied. As if the master wanted them open. Soarin was chained to the wall. His hooves were already bleeding from the previous chains that rubbed him raw. His expression held nothing but shame. He brought shame upon himself by endangering the whole of Equestria.

The large metal door creaked open, and another unicorn trotted in. Unlike Buster, he was an average size. He was deep red with a fiery red mane. His eyes bright yellow. A smirk adorned across his face. And much to the two pegasi's surprise, a certain purple pegasus walked in.

"Thunder?! What are you doing here?" Rainbow demanded.

"Silence!!" The unicorn boomed, a crack echoed in the room. The chained mare yelped in pain as searing hot pain struck across her side. She felt blood trickle down her now grubby coat.
"You shall not speak unless told!! You understand assassin!!"

"I speak when I shall."

"Then you shall face the consequences!" The unicorn held a whip in his orange aura. It was already dripping with blood. Again, a crack echoed and Rainbow yelped. But refused to give in to pain.

Soarin winced each time he heard the whip. He was forced to watch the mare he loved in pain.

The unicorn lowered the whip and cleared his throat.
"I am Master Flicker. Flame Flicker. And I the owner of this part of this prison." His harsh gruff voice was sore against the others' ears. "Me and my brothers each own parts of this prison. Torturing each and every pony in sight. And you," He pointed at Rainbow, "are accused of murdering three of the pegasi Lords." The whip lit up again. This time, more force was used as it made contact with Rainbow's delicate body.

"Ah!" She wailed. The pain was unbearable. She could feel the sharp metal pierce her skin. The stinging sensation as it created a new wound. The warm red blood, trickling down her.

"T-Thunder. Why are you here?"

"Shut up!!" Flicker shouted. The whip cracked again. The mare wailed again. She thought she could be strong enough to resist the pain. But it hurt so damn much.

"No Flicker. I'll answer." The purple pegasus glared at the unicorn before turning to Rainbow. "I am here to be a witness to your punishment. To see if you are truly getting punished."

"B-b-but..."

"I said shut up!!"

"Ah!!" More blood poured from her side. Slashes across her flesh where the whip had made it's mark. Flicker hovered the whip in a different direction. Aimed towards the mare's elegant wings. Soarin opened his eyes wide in shock as the unicorn lifted the item.

"No!! Stop!! Please!! Don't hurt her anymore!!" He begged. Flicker and Thunder looked up at the chained stallion. Rainbow stared at him with tears welling up in her eyes. Flicker smirked.

"You don't want me to hurt her, hey?"

"Please!! Torture me all you like, just leave her."

Rainbow stared at Soarin. Gobsmacked by his demand to protect her. Even though he shouldn't be the one to be punished.

"Well...sounds like a good offer."

Soarin weakly smiled.

"But, I love it when mares cry out in pain." He manically laughed as he flicked the whip as hard as he could. Hitting her wing. Tears poured down the assassin's cheeks. Pain exploded throughout her body. Her wings. The most delicate part of her body. She worked them so hard they became more sensitive. More sensitive to movement. So she could fly better. She cried out in pain each time the whip hit her. She felt weak. She was supposed to be an assassin. Yet here she is. She failed her mission. Her friends were in danger. Equestria was doomed and The Creed wad gone. Thunder and Soarin winced each time Rainbow cried in pain. Soarin's cheeks were now drenched as he cried for Rainbow.

"I'm sorry, Dash. It's all my fault." He croaked. Unheard under the noise of the whip.
