"The unicorns and earth ponies are not worthy of us. We are the dominate species. Without us, they would not be able to feed themselves. Yet they turn their noses up to us. Especially the princesses. When have they ever visited us? Once. For that stupid flying competition. But they never visit us for our political needs. When has Celestia ever cared for us?"

"Yes. I agree."

"What do you suppose we do?"

"War. War on the princesses. War on the land strucken. War on the unicorns and earth ponies. That way, they will listen to us."

"Yes. Brilliant! War! And we have the Air Force. Equestria's second greatest defense!"

"War is the best."

"Then a war it shall be!"

~~~~~~
"Oh shut up, Applejack!! I get it!! Your apple pies are better than pear pies!! Just please. Shut up!!" A cyan blue mare shouted with a hint of frustration and annoyance in her voice.
"Alrigh' sugarcube. No need ta shout. Ya coulda jast said." The orange earth pony huffed as her angry friend yelled at her.
The pegasus sighed.
"Listen. I'm sorry, AJ. Okay? I didn't mean to. I've been a under a lot of stress lately. Our numbers are decreasing rapidly." The cyan pegasus mare apologised. Her wings fluttering with frustration. The two mares were heading towards Golden Oaks Library of Ponyville. The residence of their friend, Princess Twilight Sparkle. They were going to see her for some help with Applejack's barn. As Rainbow Dash had accidently sent storm clouds, instead of rain clouds, and ended up wrecking the roof. Rainbow wasn't able to help as the planks were stuck and too heavy. And they thought a little unicorn...sorry...alicorn assistance could help. And Applejack didn't really want to walk in silence with the pegasus, so she decided to talk about her arguement with the spanish family that came over to Ponyville last week. Arguing about which fruit was better, pears or apples. It was obvious that the pegasus got annoyed about her friend dribbling on about nonsense.
"Tha's mighty fine, Rainbow. Ah understand. It's not tha best thing ta be frustrated." Applejack smiled to her friend. Who surprisingly smiled back.
"I'm glad I have friends like you lot. I don't know what I would have done."
The two mares arrived at the door of the great tree. Applejack knocked on the old wooden door. The sound of the knock vibrating throught the hollowed out tree. The taps of hooves gradually got louder as the pony inside opened the door.
"Can't you see the closed si-Oh! Applejack? Rainbow?" A purple alicorn sheepishly smiled. "What can I do for you two?"
"Twi. Ah need help with tha barn. Tha roof's broken an Rainbow can' help as they're stuck." Applejack explained.
"Oh. Sorry. But I have visitors. Maybe later. It's not to damaged is it?"
The orange mare shook her head.
"Not too bad for now, but it would still need repairin'."
"Good. I'll be there later on. And Rainbow. I have somepony to speak to you." Twilight creaked the door open. Revealing the identities of the ponies inside. The cyan pegasus staggered back in shock.
"S-Spitfire? Soarin? A-ha. What a pleasant surprise." Rainbow smiled nervously.
"Rainbow. You are a rookie, training at the Wonderbolt Academy. Please explain your absence." Spitfire said sternly as she rose to her hooves.
"Sorry. I've been busy."
"Busy with what? Unless you have a valid excuse, then I-"
"I quit." Rainbow interupted.
Spifire and the four other Wonderbolts gasped.
"Q-Quit?" Soarin squeaked.
"You can't quit. You're our best flier. I refuse to let you quit." Spitfire's anger began to rise.
"Sorry, Spitfire. I cannot do. I wish to leave the Wonderbolts." Rainbow trotted into the library, followed by Applejack, and sat down.
"But...you've always wanted to join us. Why push it all away?" Soarin inquired. He didn't want her to leave. He was going to be her teacher. Her trainer.
"Because. I have bigger responsiblities. Sorry again, Spitfire."
"No! As your captain, I refuse to let you quit! I am your captain!" She barked at the calm looking Rainbow Dash.
"Actually, Miss Spitfire. I have a higher authority than you. So technically, I could boss you around." Rainbow pointed out. Not even making eye contact with the angry yellow mare.
"What?! No you don't. You're just a weather pony." Spitfire's expression twisted into one of utter confusion.
"I have bigger responsiblities than flying around in circles. As the personal protector of Princess Twilight Sparkle and The Elements of Harmony, it my duty to stay by their side and make sure no harm comes to either of them. That and I am the leader of The Assassins Creed."
Spitfire's mouth hung wide. Along with the four other pegasi.
"Wait. So you were....the one Equestria was going all about one? The assassin who risked her life to save Princess Twilight, Princess Luna and the rest of Equestria? The leader of...Assassins Creed?" Silver Lining gawped at the rainbow maned mare.
"B-b-but....what? If you are an assassin, why did you come to the Academy? You know that wouldn't be able to join."
Rainbow sighed before answering.
"I guess...I guess I was being selfish. I wanted to know what it felt like to be a normal pegasus. Without the weight of everything else, like protecting Twilight and training the other assassins. I just wanted to be free for a day. A day where I could forget my troubles and work towards the dream I wanted as a filly." Rainbow kept her eyes to the floor. Her head lowered.
"Tha's wha confused me. Ya said tha ya always wanted ta be a Wonderbolt, but you're an assassin." Applejack rubbed her head as she tried explain her confusion. Only making her more confused than before.
"I've always wanted to be a Wonderbolt. When my father took me to see my first Wonderbolt show, I didn't realise that I had to become an assassin. As I grew up, I knew more that I couldn't continue my dream of becoming the greatest flier of Equestria. I argued with my parents, begging them to let become one, but their only reply was, 'once an assassin, always an assassin.'. I was born into the family. I was born as an assassin. So I used 'wanting to become a Wonderbolt' thing as an excuse for why I was away all the time."
"Hang on. That means that you can kill us. Right now. Holy crap!! She's gonna kill us!!" Surprise panicked.
"No. I don't kill ponies willy-nilly. I get a request to kill that pony, either from the Lords or Celestia, they give me a valid reason then either I kill them or I send another assassin out."
Surprise began to calm down. With the help of her friend, Fleefoot. Silver Lining rubbed his temples as the new information bashed into his head. Soarin on the other hoof, he had mix emotions. He was shocked, surprised, upset but most of angry. His parents were killed by assassins. And he never knew why. He just watched helplessly as a dark blue pegasus in a black cloak slit his two loving parents. The ice blue pegasus stood up. His anger rising by the second.
"You've got to be bucking kidding me!! A rookie. Our friend. Is a bloody assassin." He shouted at the colourful prgasus. Who in return just stared with a confused look.
"Okay. I understand not everypony has the same outcome when they've been told somepony they know is an assassin." Rainbow explained in hope to calm the stallion.
"No! I hate assassins! Bloody hate them!! An assassin killed my parents!! An assassin destroyed my foal hood!!" Soarin screamed. Tears pouring out of his emerald gem eyes. Soaking his powder blue cheeks.
"What?!"
Twilight and Applejack stood by Rainbow. In complete surprise to the stallion's sudden outburst. The same could be said with the four other Wonderbolts. Three of them just sitting there while their usually tranquil friend had a rant, and Spitfire had a smug look on her face. Seeing this as a chance to win Soarin over.
"I watched as a blue pegasus stallion in a black cloak slit my parents throats! And I was completely helpless!" He slumped to the floor, remembering his mother's cries and the blood dripping onto the floor.
"Father would never kill inoccents. Never. Your parents were not innocent." Rainbow tried to remember pieces of information that could help her right now.
"They were!! They were a loving family!!" Soarin cried as he wiped away his tears.
"Wait....wait. Your last name is Skies. The Skies family. They weren't innocent. They were smuggling terrorists into Equestria. Wanting to kill Princess Celestia." Rainbow explained.
"What?! Don't be so stupid!!" Soarin spat.
"Us assassins follow the pony that we have been assigned to kill. To gather enough evidence to kill them. It's true, Soarin. They only had you as a disguise. A disguise so ponies believed that they would be looking after you, but instead, would be betraying their land." Rainbow gave a comforting smile to the saddened stallion.
"...I....I....can't believe a filthy assassin. What's the point of assassins? They just go round killing ponies. It's pathetic."
"The Assassins Creed is the best defence Equestria has got. Then it's the Elements of Harmony, then the Equestrian Air Force. Then it's the Royal Guard. Without us 'filthy assassins' Equestria would be a land of dismay and death. Innocent ponies would be ruthlessly killed by our enemies. I'm sorry Soarin." Rainbow lowered her head as if his parents death was her fault.
"Why....why are telling us this?" Fleefoot questioned.
"I believe you can help me. Seeing as you are part of the Equestrian Air Force." Rainbow stood up. "You know the Pegasi Lords?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't we? Every pegasus serve under them." Spitfire pointed out.
"Well, they've chosen to go to war. With the unicorns and earth ponies."
Everypony staggered back from the statement. Twilight and Applejack gasped while the Wonderbolts just had the same look of shock and confusion.
"What?!" Twilight yelled.
"I've had a couple of my assassins sneak in on them. We found out their master plan to take over Equestria. Believing that the Princesses do not care for them."
"A war? Equestria can't have a war!" Spitfire stamped her hoof onto the wooden flooring. "I will not let this happen!"
"Good luck. They won't listen to you. You're just a captain of an elite flying team. But, yet again, they won't listen to anypony." Rainbow Dash huffed. Giving her wings a couple of flaps.
"Can't you just kill them? Seeing as that's what you do." Soarin mumbled. All the pegasi in the room gasped in shock.
"No. Even though they're our leaders, I can't kill them. It's against us assassins. And anyway, we can't do anything. We serve them." The pegasus mare gritted her teeth as her plans were easily destroyed due to a simple matter.
"Don't you have a high authority though? You could talk them out of it." Surprise added. "I know we pegasi serve them, but....I don't want to kill anypony. My cousin, Pinkie Pie, is an earth pony. And many of her friends are unicorns and earth ponies." Surprise hugged her blue friend to comfort herself.
"Applejack. Get the others." Rainbow whizzed round to the purple alicorn with a sly smirk on her face. "Twilight. We're going to Cloudsdale."
