"I betrayed my best friend. That's why she hates me so much. I betrayed her." Thunder mumbled. He hated how the princess had forced him to tell his relationship with Rainbow, but it felt good to tell somepony. He wished he could just tell the cyan mare how much he still loved her. She was still hurting. And she needs somepony with her. To hold her. And stroke her pretty mane and tell her everything will be okay.

Twilight had lowered her shield as Thunder was telling his story. Although an enemy, she wanted to know more about Rainbow's past. But the assassin shut it all up. Not allowing a peep of information out. She let the shield down, knowing there was no threat. Knowing that Thunder only came to send a message from the Lords. But she had also received a message from Celestia. Asking why she had the shield up anyway. Worrying for her student, believing that she was under attack. Twilight just simply explained that Soarin came over and was hoarded by fans. She felt bad about not completely telling the truth to the sun princess, but, she wanted to know more about Rainbow. And her past. Her relationships. Her friends, family, everything. She was her friend, she needed to know more.

"Well. I must go." Thunder rose to his hooves. "The message I carry from the Lords is for Miss Dash."

"And that is?"

"You will not win, Mistress Dashery. The Creed is weak. You are weak. You will not be able to defeat us. Nopony will. We will take the throne, and lead Equestria into a land of the pegasi." Thunder repeated the message told by his masters. "Now, I must go. If Rainbow found out I was here, she would bloody kill me. So goodbye. For now." Thunder fluttered out of the grand tree library. Leaving two gobsmacked ponies behind.

"Bloody hell!! Who the hell do they think they are?! Sweet Celestia!!" An angry pegasus mare growled. She paced around the library. Everypony watching her every step. Her midnight black cloak swiftly swaying as she walked around. Her cyan wings fluttering with frustration as she continued to go on about their enemies.

"Please Rainbow. Calm down. You've only just got back." Twilight tried to reason with her friend.

"I don't care! Okay? The Lords....those bucking lords!! How dare they attack my first hoof pony!! Lyra is the bestest assassin I've ever seen! How did they...how did he get hold of her?!"

"Rainbow!!" The alicorn yelled. The pegasus immediately stopped. "I order you to shut up, sit down and calm down. At this rate, you'll probably kill yourself. Understand?"

Rainbow Dash slowly nodded before sitting next to Soarin. She sighed.
"I am sorry, your highness. My temper took hold of me."

"It's not tha first time." Applejack sniggered. Rainbow glared daggers at the farmer pony.

"Right. Before anything else, Rainbow."

"Yes, Celestia."

"When are you planning to...assassinate the Lords?"

"This afternoon. During their grand speech."

"B-but....why?! They're in the public view. Everypony will see you and your mission will fail." The nightly princess stated.

"You do realise who you are talking to, right?" Rarity pointed out. Trying not to sound too rude towards the blue alicorn.

"The Lords are more vulnerable out in the public. They have less guards out. And this might be only chance. Before a war does break out."

"It's true. The Lords believe nopony would attack them in the view of the public. So they don't bother with too many guards." Fleefoot stated.

"Very well then. This afternoon I will assassinate the remaining Lords." Rainbow stood up. Standing confidently in the middle of the room. She was determined to finally kill the Lords. To end their reign at last.

But, the ice blue stallion's heart was being ripped apart. When Rainbow said she was going to kill the Lords at dusk, that meant he could have a whole day with her. Before she would be doomed to that terrible prison. He was planning to finally make her reveal her feelings to him. To make her love him as much as he loved her. But now that plan was gone. As Rainbow was due to kill in less than three hours. There had to be another way. There had to be. Soarin shot up. Standing in front of Rainbow.

"You can't!! There must be another way!!" He blubbered.

"I'm sorry, but there isn't."

"There has to be!! There's always another way!!"

"Soarin! There isn't any other way. Our choices our very limited. Either to choose that we just sit and watch the Lords attack, or stop them before anything gets worse." Rainbow plainly stated. She was starting to get really annoyed with this stallion. Every minute, he frustrated her. Her heart was madly falling in love but her mind pulled her away. Now she was becoming confused. Upset. Angry. With everything else happening, she was like a balloon ready to pop.

"How about....how about...we let the Lords attack. Thinking they have won, then you can strike them." Soarin quickly thought.

"For the bloody love of Celestia, Soarin!! That would make everything worse!! Innocent ponies would be killed!! Not only that but you want me to somehow to strike them!? I'm an assassin, you freakin' moron!! Not a bloody superhero!!!" She yelled.

"Yes...well...well..."

"Well what?! Anymore bloody good ideas, Wonderbolt Soarin? Or is your head stuck in the clouds too much?!"

"Rainbow. Please. I'm just trying....I'm just trying to help." Soarin whispered.

"Help? Help?! All you've done is cause me nothing but grief!!" She shouted. The stallion staggered back. He didn't mean to upset Rainbow. But all this time he's done is cause her grief?

"I'm sorry, Rainbow. I-I didn't know...I didn't mean to."

"Of course you didn't!! Nopony did!! I'm just so bloody confused, Soarin!! Everything is just running around in circles. Not getting anywhere." Rainbow Dash sighed and looked at Soarin. Staring into his emerald green eyes. Her feelings for him blasting inside of her. "I'm sorry for yelling, Soarin. I'm....I'm just....I'll just go..." The assassin fluttered out. Leaving the others behind. And leaving one heartbroken stallion.
