Princess Cadenza, or ‘Cadence’ as she insists I call her, has not taken kindly to my passing over of her beloved. I in turn ask when she last has seen him. Before her answer leaves her lips the new captain makes himself known at the door. I ask where Morning Star is and the captain reports that he is asleep. I excuse myself with a pointed look at ‘Cadence’.

Her rejection of a title given to her offers more insult than she sees. She should count herself lucky that it is Celestia and not I that is her benefactor. Though in all fairness her forced humility is preferable to Bluebloods pompous uselessness and if she ever were to rule it would fade into confidence quickly. Barring the death of my sister and I or some nation rising up in need of a ruler she will have no such opportunity.

It is too soon to offer a report with any depth on Morning Star. I have paired him and a few unicorns of his choosing with Moon Shadow’s squad. There is a fire between those two, if the two tribes should mix well in the night guard or if they should not, that fire will blaze brightly. In success or in failure the outcome will be anything but subtle.

600 views and 60 chapters woohoo ! Don't you just love it when round numbers come together because I sure do.

I'm not sure about the summarized dialogue in the first paragraph. It seems more like what someone (or somepony as the case may be) would actually put in their diary but i just don't like it.
Also calculus is not as bad as i thought it would be so i will start updating more often. (monday and friday updates with one somewhere in between. I won't have a set day for that update so it will just be whenever i write it.)
