When I awoke everypony told me I had been gone for a thousand years but it felt like nothing more than a deep slumber. Now I feel every lifetime it has been since I have had somepony to call ‘friend’. All that is left is a sister who refuses to trust me and ponies that are scores of generations removed from those I knew. A friend; maybe that is what I need to mend my breaking heart.

something isn't right with the wordcount on this story. I tallied up all the chapters before this one and got 1006 but the story page only says 800-something... whatever have the first diary chapter that's not actually a letter.
