Technology has recently launched in Equestria. Computers, TVs, many things. The latest one that came out was Computers. They came out about 9 months ago, and they were complex. Equestria had the power to do things that humans on Earth could do too... gaming. Not only that, but that is one of the main points. Ponies have been downloading a program called 'Steam' and spending Bits to buy games, items for those games and more. They also talk to other ponies who are far away using Facebook or Skype. That is what most ponies used computers for, but some ponies use them to do work and other things like that.

Many ponies in Equestria have gotten a computer. A month after the release of the computer, Twilight Sparkle saw that not as many ponies were outside. Then something came to her attention. There was a new store in the market, which some ponies who hadn't heard about computers were going into, and it sold... you guessed it. Computers. Curious to see what this store was, Twilight went inside. It was a small and cozy room, with a few shelves with boxes that have computers inside. There was also a little laptop in the corner which showed some of the spotlights of computers. This intrigued Twilight, so she decided to get one herself, just to test it out.

For a while, Twilight had to adjust to the computer. Infact she stayed up late some nights just to learn the basics. It was then it hit her... she kept on using her hooves. She mentally facehoofed herself. It was much easier when she used magic, and she decided to get some programs which she had heard about. Twilight heard about Skype, which she thought was essential, and then Steam. She was unsure about Steam, because she wasn't one for gaming, since she always studied. But she still downloaded it, just to try it out. After installing both of the programs and signing up, which involved MORE signing up to websites, she decided to get a game on Steam. Because she didn't want to waste any bits, she decided to get a Free to Play game. Or multiple Free to Play games, to see if they were any good.

After a while, she downloaded a couple of games, but she didn't really like them. There was only one game left to play in her game library - Team Fortress 2. She had already installed the game, which was pretty timewasting. She ran it. The valve beginning song started to play, and when it loaded Twilight saw some things which she could click. She decided to learn some of the classes before she started to play. After playing the game for an hour or so, it hit her. Gaming was pretty cool. After a day of playing TF2, she decided to tell her friends about computers and Steam. When she went to her friends, she found out they already had computers, but she told them about Steam. And then they told their friends, and soon most of her friends knew of Steam. Her friends used computers to research, so she gave them something fun to do in free time. And she didn't forget to recommend them TF2.

Then now, it was the best moment of Twilight's TF2 gaming life. Mann VS Machine was coming out in AN HOUR. She had stocked up on tickets for the official servers, but she wanted to play on a server that wasn't an official one first. After a while of waiting, she got bored and decided to quit TF2. One minute later, a message box appeared.

20% Cooler Rnbw Dsh: OMG

Sparklight Twili: what rd?

20% Cooler Rnbw Dsh: i just heard...

Sparklight Twili: ?

20% Cooler Rnbw Dsh: MvM is coming out early

Sparklight Twili: OMGGGG

After a little bit, Twilight continued the chat.

Sparklight Twili: how long?!

20% Cooler Rnbw Dsh: like... 19 mins

Sparklight Twili: yeeeah! you stock up on tickets?

20% Cooler Rnbw Dsh: your kidding, right?

Sparklight Twili: xD no, seriously, i bought a ton of tickets

20% Cooler Rnbw Dsh: same here, i think the others did too

Sparklight Twili: so you wanna play on the official servers? i heard that u get rare items if you play on them

20% Cooler Rnbw Dsh: totes!

Then, another chat window popped up.

SUPRISE!: TWI

Sparklight Twili: what?

SUPRISE!: rd told me that MvM is coming out early!

Sparklight Twili: i know, i can't wait!

And so that process went with her other friends, ~BaCkStAb'D~, Apples 2 Apples and CritterZ. Which took up 7 minutes, because some of the chats were long.

Then, after 12 extremely long minutes, it felt like everypony spamclicked Play Co-op. The game was lagging so much, that Twilight's game crashed. A few other ponies games crashed too. Eventually, Twilight ACTUALLY got to the MvM screen. She chose to play on a community gameserver. She didn't invite any of her friends, since she wanted to try it out to sharpen her skills. She clicked the search button. And waited. She was extremely bored after a long time, before seeing a change. "0 SERVERS?! I guess its right... but wait, maybe its because all the servers are full! Damn, I wish my game didn't crash! Maybe... Maybe I can hack the game using my magic to get into a already full server!"

Twilight charged up a spell, and directed telekinesis to the computer. Eventually something came up. "One nearby... thats compatible?! YES! VICTORY!" She hoofpumped into the air. The server started to load, and Twilight's computer started to shake a bit. It was unnoticable at first, but then Twilight saw a sparkle come from it. "W-what....?!" She backed away, before the computer lit up in a magical aura and absorbed Twilight.

Spike turned from his computer. "Twilight?" He then turned back to his computer. "Oh look, I finally found a server I can go on! Next Chapter: Chapter 2 Estimated time remaining: 4 Minutes
