The Enigma
Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Initiate Contact

I felt groggy as I awoke, my whole body aching. I appeared to be in a hospital of some sort. The lens in my eye suddenly lit up and alerted me that a class Omega-five security breach had been attempted while I was asleep. That could only mean one thing. Surgery. I started to panic, thinking that I had been found out, but then relaxed when I heard a snippet of conversation from the next room.
"He needs surgery, but every time I take a knife to him he zaps me with a ton of electricity! I don't know what to do!"
Apparently my body decided to take matters into it's own hands. Yay. Now, to the second question. Why was I alive? I know I pressed the self destruct button several miles above the ground! Why didn't I die!?! Just then the nurse came back in. I just had time to register her before I saw the scalpel, and something clicked in my mind.
Knife.
Blood.
Kill.
The poor nurse barely had time to react as I jumped on top of her, a dark, glowing sword sliding through a slot in my skin into my hooves. Wait. Hooves?!? I switched out of elimination mode to see the ponies who had rescued me staing at me in shock. Then I realized that I was holding a dark-bladed sword, standing on top of their nurse with red, firey eyes. I facepalmed as they started to back away. "Never fails, does it?"
I got up off of the nurse, and the blade retracted into my arm. Leg. Whatever. I somehow knew that my eyes had reverted back to their usual brown, and I attempted to put my hooves up to show that I meant them no harm. What really happened is that I fell flat on my face. Suddenly, the pink one started laughing, and although she was quickly shushed by her friends, it was a good sign.
"W-what's your n-name?" stuttered the purple one, clearly nervous about the sudden outburst with the nurse.
"You may call me Enigma." I said, picking myself up off the ground. "Where is this place?". The purple one was about to answer when two Pegasus guards burst through the door, panting heavily.
"We have been authorized to transport you to Canterlot. Will you come quietly?" asked the first guard, clearly unenthusiastic about forcing a demented pegasus to meet the princess. The beast inside me growled angrily, but I did my best to put on a convincing smile. "I'll come quietly." I said with a quick smile in the direction of my rescuers, who seemed relieved that it wouldn't come to a fight. I stepped inside the royal carriage, and it started to head in the direction of the capital city I saw from orbit. I dozed quietly as the carriage flew off into the sunset.
