A familiar voice says, "A long, long, long time ago, I mean like a thousand plus years ago, there lived two sisters and a colt with a dark future."

"Doctor, what are you doing?" asked Derpy.

"Why Miss Hooves, I'm narrating," said the Doctor.

Derpy replied, "Why are you narrating?"

The Doctor answered, "I'm telling the story of when we watched over the royal sisters as foals. Also, I'm filling in for supersoildsnake."

"Who's that?" Derpy inquired.

"He's our usual narrator. I'm filling in because he's out having lunch. I think he's having chocolate chocolate chip muffins." the Doctor answered.

"MUFFINS!!!" Derpy said and vanished.

Moments later, Derpy reappeared with two dozen muffins. "I needed something to munch while I listen to your story," Derpy said.

"Well, then. Shall we continue?" the Doctor said.

"Yes," Derpy said, with a mouthful of muffins.

"Avante!" replied the Doctor, and he continued narrating.

"The two sisters were named Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. And the colt, well, his name was Sombra. Now, keep in mind this was during the second Great Pony War, the war between Equestria and the Crystal Empire. So by all rights, the sisters and the colt should not have been friends. But they ended up being friends anyway. And, because of their friendship, a treaty was formed between the warring nations," the Doctor recounted.

"I bet you're wondering how I know all this. Well, the fact is I was there!" the Doctor stated.

"As time passed, Princess Luna grew especially fond of Sombra. In the next chapter of my story, I'll tell you how their friendship grew into love. That's all for now," the Doctor said. "Now Derpy, hand me one of those muffins. With butter; I love butter."
