Chapter Two: Powers

(The Next Day)

Twilight was coming down the stairs when she noticed the humans were waking up.

“Morning Ms. Sparkle”

Twilight let out a light chuckle.

“Oh please call me Twilight”

“Ok Twilight I have a question for you”

“Go ahead Ulrich”

“Why were you so quick to let us stay here?”

“Two reasons. One because I want to see what your abilities are and two: I’m slightly scared of your two swords”

Ulrich looked at his swords then back to Twilight and laughed.

“Don’t worry I will only use these if I am attacked”

“Oh that’s reassuring. Is it alright if I ask you a few questions?”

“Yeah go ahead”

“Okay first off what are you?”

“Well me and my friends are a species of highly evolved apes call humans or if you want to be scientific about it we are called homo sapien sapien”

When Twilight those three words her eyes widened.

“Oh my. Okay so where did you come from?”

“We come from a planet called earth where humans are the dominants species”

“Interesting. I’ve got one last question for you. How did you get here?”

“Well I think us coming here was a pure accident. We were actually trying to transport us to a virtual world called Lyoko to defeat an evil entity called Xana”

Upon hearing that Aelita started to cry.

“Aelita whats wrong?”

“Xana… I can’t believe he… he killed him”

She cried even louder. Ulrich put his hand on her shoulder.

“Aelita if we ever find a way back I will make him pay with his life”

“Th… thank you Ulrich I needed that”

Ulrich walked up to Twilight and began to whisper in her ear.

“One of our friends died trying to get us to Lyoko”

She simply nodded.

“So Ulrich what is this virtual world called Lyoko your talking about?”

“Well on our planet we have highly advanced pieces of equipment call supercomputers. They are capable of storing vast amounts of information and data. There is this one specific supercomputer called Xana which rules Lyoko. About five years ago me and my friends defeated Xana and shut off the supercomputer for good. Up until now everything has been going fine. Now Xana has returned and killed one of us. If he finds a way here I doubt we will survive”

“Your technology sounds incredible. So what exactly are your powers?”

“Well I’ll show you…”

(Back On Earth)

“At least they’re out of the way. No I shouldn’t even let them live if they are still alive”

Xana walked up to the computer and activated the scanner then quickly went to the scanner room and stepped into one of the scanners.

“Time to see where this took them”

(One hour later in Equestria)

Twilight was walking back to the library with Ulrich, Odd and the rest of the gang.

“Wow Ulrich that was… amazing”

“Well I still find it entertaining but after doing it for over a year it kind of loses its touch”

“I see. How about lunch?”

“That would be nice thank you”

They all went inside the library and had a nice lunch after an hour of demonstrating their abilities. Little do they that they’re being watched.

“Hmm so the dominant species here are horses… it doesn’t matter who or what lives here they aren’t going to get in my way. Should I attack them now? No I’m going to wait for bit and then make my presence known”

The man looked down to a strange creature beside him.

“You know what must be done”

The mysterious figure walked away leaving the creature to do its job.

One hour later Twilight was at her friend Fluttershy’s house picking up some supplies.

“Once again Fluttershy thanks for everything”

“Oh its no problem Twilight I’m happy to help”

“Well thank you now I have to get going see you later”

“Twilight wait there’s something I want to show you”

“What is it Fluttershy?”

“About half an hour ago I found this strange creature walking around my garden. I don’t know what it is but I think you could know”

“Where is this creature?”

“It is still in my garden”

“Ok lets go see it”

The two mares walked through her house and into the garden. To their surprise the creature was looking directly at them. It appeared to be the same height or slightly smaller than a baby pony and it had a circular red eye. Its legs seemed to be made out of metal because they made a metallic noise when they moved. The strangest thing of all was the symbol on the creatures head.

“Fluttershy do you mind if I take this creature home I need to see if there is any information on it in a book?”

“Oh no its no problem whatsoever Twilight besides I have to take care of the birds I think the creature spooked them I’ll see you later Twilight”

“Ok bye Fluttershy”

Twilight left and went back to her home with the creature being levitated by her magic.

“Hey guys I’m ho…”

She was cut short as Ulrich ran up to her and aimed his swords at the creature being levitated.

“Whoa Ulrich what are you doing?”

“Getting rid of that creature that’s what”

“Why?”

“That’s one of the creatures my friends and I fought on Lyoko. Though it looks harmless it can fire a beam of energy from it’s eye which can hurt; kill even”

“Well it hasn’t harmed me or you yet so put down the swords”

Ulrich breathed in and out then put his swords in their sheaths.

“So what is this thing exactly?”

“Its called a Kankerat. They’re minions of Xana. If it is here then that means Xana and more of his minions could be here too”

They just watched the Kankerat walk around the room occasionally looking at them.

“So how do you think it got here?”

“The same way we got here through the scanners”

“What do we do with it?”

“I’d say keep any eye on it for now. If it tries anything kill it”

(Around Midnight)

Gygis: 12:25

S’uht Am’ahsk

***Dah’kars Lyoko***

It was 7 in the morning; Ulrich was sleeping peacefully in the guest room.

Boom…

An explosion woke Ulrich up instantly. He reached for his blades which were lying at the end of the bed. He put one in its sheath and kept the other out. Ulrich slowly opened the door and looked around. There was a large hole in the wall and through it came…

“A Tarantula? But how?”

At the time it didn’t matter; he saw Aelita trapped by the beast. He wasted no time in getting its attention. The Tarantula saw him and opened fire. Lucky for Ulrich he was fast enough to dodge the lasers and jam his sword in the Tarantula’s head. It fell to the floor and dissipated like they did on Lyoko. Ulrich then turned to Aelita and ran up to her.

“Aelita are you okay?”

“Y… yes I’m ok; a little shaken up though”

“Good where are Odd and Yumi?”

“They’re outside fighting off what I think were Crabs”

“Stay here and find Twilight I’m gonna help them”

Aelita nodded and ran off to another part of the library. Ulrich went outside and saw Yumi and Odd standing beside two now dissipating Crabs.

“Guys how did…”

Ulrich was interrupted by a long deep laugh. They all turned around and saw the evil entity himself… Xana.
