Luigi's Mansion: Equestria Girls
Chapter 1: 1. The Lock-in
Load Full Story Next ChapterIt was pitch black outside. But everyone inside the school was buzzing with excitement. It was the Canterlot High school Lock-in.
Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna stood at the front door. "Attentions, students!"
Everyone stopped talking and turned toward the two sisters.
"Welcome to the Canterlot High Lock-in." Principal Celestia announced. We'll be playing a bunch of fun games, watching an awesome movie, and we'll be spending the whole night together!"
Everyone cheered.
"Just so you know," Vice Principal Luna started. "The doors will remain open until 7. After that, the doors will be locked. If you have any second thoughts, I suggest you make them quick."
Principal Celestia continued. "The games will go until 9. We'll be starting the movie at that time. Once the movie is over, it's lights out. Well, enough chit-chat. Let's get started!"
After that, the students wandered about the school, getting started on all the games.
Fluttershy looked up and down the halls. There were tables set up everywhere. The Student store had become a place to redeem prizes. She couldn't wait to get started. She looked in her backpack to see if Angel was alright. He wasn't there.
Fluttershy's eyes darted around to see where Angel may have gone. Finally, she saw him by the front door.
"Oh, Angel." Fluttershy picked him up and started petting him. "You know you not supposed to get out of the bag. You could get lost in here. You might be all alone with no food, no water, no friends...or no way out!"
Angel gave an indifferent expression to Fluttershy. Then, he was shoved back into the bag.
Sunset appeared behind the shy girl. "Are you coming? They have a station where you can Hula-hoop."
"Sure, sounds fun." Fluttershy followed Sunset, but then she noticed something weird outside. There was suddenly a small, red camera on the Wondercolt statue with green lens. She'd never seen it before.
"Fluttershy! C'mon!" Rainbow shouted.
"Oh, right!" Fluttershy ignored the camera and followed her friend.
The night was a blast. Fluttershy played a game called Bucket Head with Twilight. Twilight threw a ping-pong ball, and Fluttershy had to catch it in a bucket strapped to her head.
Then, she played a game of ladder ball against Applejack. She got her butt kicked.
Last, she lost to Pinkie Pie in a hula-hooping contest.
Then, everyone was gathered in the gym, with a big projection screen covering the whole stage. Everyone was sitting on the floor in their pajamas eating popcorn.
"I wonder what movie they're gonna show." Twilight said.
"I hope it's a scary movie!" Rainbow said with excitement.
"Ooh, good thing I brought an extra pair of jammies!" Pinkie pulled out another pair of pajama pants.
"This'll be my first movie." Sunset added. "We don't have these in Equestria."
"You don't?" Twilight said in astonishment
"That doesn't sound like much fun." Rarity groaned.
"What do you have?" Rainbow asked.
"Well, we use these things called Phonographs to play music-"
"Phonographs?" Rainbow graoned. "What time period are you from?"
"We haven't used those since...100 years ago."
Fluttershy wasn't listening. She kept fidgeting. "I need to use the bathroom."
"Be quick." Applejack told her. "The movie's gonna start soon."
Fluttershy turned on the sink and started washing her hands. The light suddenly flickered, and she stopped moving. The door to one of the stalls opened up. Fluttershy looked, and no one was inside.
Finally, she left for the gym. Then, she heard laughter coming out of nowhere. Fluttershy's eyes darted around to see if there was anything, but there wasn't a soul in sight.
Fluttershy's eyes still looked around the gym, but it was dead quiet. The movie had already started. She shivered as she sat back down.
"Are you okay?" Rainbow whispered.
"Um...uh...yeah. Everything's just peachy." Flutter answered.
Rainbow turned her attention back to the screen, and Flutter shook as she watched.
The Rainbooms settled in the band room, and set up their sleeping bags. Flutter was sitting criss cross on her bag, thinking about what just happened.
"Are you okay, Fluttershy?" Twilight asked.
"Huh? Oh, yes. I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Sunset asked. "You didn't seem so fine during the movie."
"I'm alright."
"Is something on your mind?" Rainbow asked.
"No..."
"If you say so..." Applejack said. "If ya need anything, we're here for ya."
"Thanks."
"Good night, everyone." Sunset said.
"Good night." Everyone responded.
Sunset turned off the light, and everyone climbed into their sleeping bags. Fluttershy didn't. Where did that laughter come from? How could those doors open on their own?
Lightning flashed, and Fluttershy tried not to scream. She took a deep breath. "Everything's fine." Flutter kicked off her slippers, and climbed into her bag. The laughter could be heard again. A soft, green glow emitted from the door crack. Then it changed to red, then blue, then yellow.
Fluttershy's eyes darted around to see if there was anything. Then, her mind started to slow down, and she fell asleep.
