Chapter: The Beginning

Tails had been up all night. Shadow had asked him to modify his quantum computer, and it was no easy task. Having all the code in qubits didn't make it as easy to modify as a normal computer. But he was finally finished. Tails had only gotten an hour of sleep before sonic broke into his room. "Tails! Get everything ready, eggman's attacking!" And with that announcement tails had begun his day. It seemed relatively routine actually, eggman had really been pushing his attacks lately with shadow joining their side and all. Tails didn't know how he felt about Shadow joining team sonic. He had definitely made a major contribution, and fighting eggman became all but a joke, but Shadow still was that very negative guy who still scared him a little. Tails went to go get his chaos emerald to power the X tornado, but when he opened the safe the room seemed to explode. Tails had never seen the emerald radiate so much power and eye scorching light on their own before.

Damn. Why did shadow have to team up with sonic? It just wasn't fair. Having to deal with a blue ball of robot destruction was bad enough, but now with the ultimate life form on that side it made it almost impossible to win an attack. "Well sonic, things are about to change. I didn't ever think of using this again but the new events leave me no choice." Eggman then sumens all the robots he has forward. "ALL ROBOTS ATTACK!" He then ordered metal sonic to stay slightly behind the massive horde of robots."I will build my eggman empire and you can't stop me this time, you blue pineapple."

The light quickly disappeared and tails grabbed the emerald. "What could have caused that", thought tails. Tails saw everyone was ready to take of. He loaded the emerald into his plane, and they took off to fight eggman for the 2nd time that week.

(with shadow)

Shadow didn't mind being with team sonic. It gave him a lot more opportunities to fight without having to worry about sonic trying to stop him. Shadow saw that sonic has left him a message saying "eggman attack, meet us outside of tail's workshop", so he prepped the Dark Tornado. Most of his rivalry with sonic had disapeared, it wasn't very productive to fight someone almost equal to him in every way. He continued to get ready for the fight. But this day just didn't feel normal, even as he tried to focus on preping for the battle he couldn't shake that weird feeling.

(with eggman)

"Don't worry eggman, this will work", said the worried . "After all I did this before, and that was an accident!", he thought."Initiate the chaos generator!", he yelled at his robotic minions." Well sonic it's time for some past memories." he said quetly." If this plan suceeds then I will never have to worry about team sonic again." Eggman got into his eggmobile and flew towards his egg dragoon mech. "Time for this again, it should serve as a fine distraction for sonic while I attack tails" thought eggman. "This mission would be a lot less stressfull if team sonic didn't have 3 of the emeralds" he thought. "Sonic and tails should be easily distracted, getting shadow's emerald will be the real challange" he planned. " I think attacking sonic with everything I got from the beggining should get me that emerald, and then I could use it to power Metal up." he thought. "After that an attack with metal in the front, my egg dragoon in the back, and my army of weaker robots covering everything else, will be my best bet for shadow", planned the doctor. "let's hope this works!", said the doctor aloud. " who are you talking to?", asked qubot. "None of you're business tin can! Get back to work!" he yelled at his robot servent.

(with team sonic)

Everyone was heading over a hill and when they got to the other side they were very surprised. "Uh tails, don't you think we're a little under preperad to fight, i don't know, A FULL ON ATTACK BY EVERYTHING EGGMAN EVER MADE!", yelled sonic. "Geez sonic, I didn't know eggman was desparate enough to attack with everything" responded tails anoyed. "You two, stop fighting now, thats my job", said shadow calmly."Fine", they both said in unison. Everyone decided to split up. Tails and sonic remained close to each other, while shadow went lone wolf.

"Yes,Yes!" thought eggman as everything was going perfectly. "now that everyone is spreading out they are volnerable".
