Author's Note: Only the second week of school and I have already done a 4 page essay, 5 quizzes, and a test. I'm no longer sure if I am becoming insane, or if the school system is.

Chapter 29: Since when am I an Ambassador?

When will this pony shut the hell up?

I have been sitting here in the council room listening to all of these ponies problems with my fellow councilors, and for the past 20 minutes this one pony has been going on and on about… I don't even know any more, I faded out at some points.

I turn, and see a look of equal boredom on the others, even Puddinghead was bored and that was saying something. I looked over at the Pegasus' represented, Storm Surge he looks like a male version of Spitfire. I wonder if they are related.

"Alright sir," I said, getting the pony to finally stop. "We will see what we can do, you may leave."

The pony just gave a smile and a small bow as he left.

I turn to the others. "I kinda zoned out there, what did he want?" All I got in response was some mumbling and shrugs. Well that's 3 out of 3, that pony was boring.

Soon a vanilla colored pony entered the room. If this guy goes on about carrots, rain, or a noise complaint about Star Swirl I am walking out.

"Sorry to bother you sirs," Stated the nervous pony. "But we are having some issues near my home town. We have…" The last part was mumbled so none of us could hear him.

"Speak up," Surge demanded, scaring the pony.

"W-We have dragons sir," The pony said louder.

Dragons… great.

"What is the issue?" I asked.

"Well, um, sir. The dragons have been demanding that we leave."

What? "Why are they demanding you lot of leave your home?" I ask. The dragons tend to keep to themselves unless provoked for some reason.

"They claim it to be their right to sirs," The pony continued. "They claim that the strong can take what they wish. Please sirs, we need help." He begged.

I looked over at the other councilors to get an idea what they were thinking, but I saw both of them staring at me. Why do I feel that I am going to have to do something real stupid soon?

"Well then. We have heard your pled young one. We will be sending one of our best to deal with the problem," Surge stated, still staring at me.

Goddammit you winged donkey, even Hurricane wouldn't… no he would do that too. Damn pegasus.

"Thank you sirs!" The pony said happily as he bowed and rushed from the room. I look over to Surge once the doors closed.

"Next time, don't volunteer me for a suicidal mission or I will pluck all the feathers from you wings." I threatened.

Surge's wind tightened, possibly imagining what would happen if I did carry out my threat.

I got up out of me seat and turned to leave.

"Where are you going?" Puddinghead asked.

"Well, seeing as how I have other work to now do, I'm just going to leave the rest to you two," I said, and peeked out the door. "And looks like you will be here all day as well." And with that I left with a grin on my face.

Once I left the building, I saw the vanilla colored pony again still with that large grin.

"Ah, hello again," I said, getting the pony's attention. "You forgot to tell us the name of the town, mister..?"

"Ah, I am sorry," The pony apologized. "I am Acrid Misdo from Erymanthus in the far south."

"Wow, that is quite the distance to of traveled," I stated. It must have taken these pony weeks if not months to walk here.

"Well Acrid, you can expect this problem to be take care of quickly," I assured him, as I turned to go back home.

(Few hours later)

After explaining the situation to the girls, I left them in the hooves of Star Swirl, and I left Star Swirl in the care of the girls. I pity the old goat.

By the looks of it, I am currently flying over the Bad Wolf Bay and will be reaching land around the Broken Leylands.

(3 days later)

Oh finally!

I finally land after 3 days of flying. I land near the town, and can see the mountain range of the Scorched Lands in the distance.

I walk to the town of Erymanthus, or at least what remains of it. As I get closer, I can see that many of the building of have been burned down, demolished, or barely standing. One of the few buildings still standing was an inn called the Dab Flow. I think this place has a thing for odd names.

I step into the building, and the first thing I noticed was the solemn atmosphere. I looked around the main room and noticed the many ponies inside, drinking their cares away. Ponies suffering from PTSD?

"Welcome to the Dab Flow," Said a dark red unicorn said from behind the counter. "What brings you to our… town?"

"I was sent here to help deal with the dragon problem," I stated, still looking around at all the ponies. I notice that some of them were bandaged, partly covering burn wounds. "By the looks of it, I don't have long."

"Well sir," The unicorn continued. "I doubt there is much you can do, unless you brought an army with you." He said skeptically.

"You'd be surprised with what I can do mister." I told him.

"It is Doctor. Doctor Redheart to you stranger," He said aggressively. "And I don't need you giving them false hope sir."

"Very well then Doctor Redheart, seeing as how I am not welcomed right now, I will take my leave to the dragons right now. And it is nice to see some ponies have normal names here after all." I turn to leave.

"If you mean the bar, take it up with Acrid, he made the idiotic name," He called out when I left.

Ah, so Acrid is just an oddball.

I turn to face the mountain range to the west. "Let's go see if the dragons are more reasonable," I said to myself as I flew to the mountains.

It only took me half an hour the pass the mountain range to and realize some thing: Where would I find the Dragon's Capital? We don't have any maps of this area; the dragons would never allow us to map it out.

I land down on the other side of the mountain and look around the land. It was all badlands, with little to no vegetation, and the ground itself was cracked and fractured. I looked around the horizon and could see only 3 land marks, and all of them were volcanos, two of them near the mountain range, and on further west.

"Great, just great. I am in a hostile land with no idea where I am. What else could go wrong…" I close my eyes. This is becoming predictable now. "3, 2, 1."

I felt myself being yanked off the ground and held by something large. I open my eyes and looked around to see that I am being carried away by a large dark blue dragon.

"So then," I said calmly. "Where are you taking me?" I asked him. I got no reply from him, he just kept his eyes forward and continued to fly. Well then, looks like I got myself a ride.

I watched as the land passed by us, trying to form some kind of mental map of the area, but it all looked the same to me.

As we continued to go west, I began to saw some life down below: Dragons. There we dragons of every shade of color, and the number of dragons I saw increased as we went to the western volcano.

After nearly an hour of being carries, we reached the volcano's peak the dragon landed in the center of it, and let me go, and back away.

I stood up and looked around and saw numerous dragons surrounding me, and one dark green dragon, far larger than the rest.

"Why have you invaded our land pony?" The large one bellowed in an old voice. "We have warned you what would happen if you trespassed again."

"I am sorry dragon, but what warning? We have received no word of this," I stated. So someone did manage to piss off the dragons.

"Do you think we are dumb pony?" asked a purple dragon to my left. "We made our warning quite clear with that village near our boarders, and you have clearly ignored it." She said, flames escaping from her mouth in small burst.

"Calm yourself Kalurth," Said an orange dragon next to her. "You forget that the ponies are ignorant of our ways. It is not their fault they can't understand us."

"He is correct." I stated. "We were unaware that someone had angered your people. We were led to believe that this attack on one of our villages was due to the need expanding, not of pride."

"And why should we believe you?" Kalurth asked. "You could just as easily be lying to us, and trying to save your own hide."

Sigh. Dragon's pride is quite annoying. I wonder…

"Kalurth, if you continue to question my honesty I will consider it an insult to my pride, and I will be forced to show you your place." I egged her on.

"You think that you ponies no anything of pride?!" Kalurth demanded. "You are an insignificant race, who believes that you control the world!"

"Kalurth!" The orange dragon said, trying to silence her.

"Well then, if you think I am so 'insignificant', then I demand a duel," I stated, causing all the dragons to look at me as if I was crazy. I turn to face Kalurth, "And show you how wrong you are to think so little of me."

"Very well you foolish pony," Kalurth growled, baring her teeth at me. "I will enjoy ripping you to pieces." She turned to climb up on the lip of the volcano, and I followed.

"Kalurth, be reasonable!" The orange one pleaded. "We don't need this after what happened!"

"Silence Rylarth!" The large one spoke up. "The pony has challenged one of our own, denial of the fight will dishonor our race!"

Rylarth held his tongue from saying anything else and followed us, along with all the other dragons to see me get 'killed'.

Once we reached the bottom of the volcano, Kalurth and I stood on opposite of each other, with her wanting nothing more than to kill me, and me just grinning to anger her further.

We stood staring at each other for a few minutes, waiting for a sign to attack.

"This is a dual of honor," The large one began. "There can only be one victor, and as such only one may live. Let the fight begin!" He bellowed.

As soon as he declared the fight, Kalurth engulfed me in flames, blocking me from seeing anything.

"Ha!" Kalurth laughed. "That pony didn't even last a second against me!" She boasted, think she won just like that.

"Well that is a little full of yourself to think that would end it," I stated calmly as all the dragon turn to see I was fine.

"What? How can you live from that?" She yelled.

"Oh, you know. Breathing and such," I joked and ran towards the stunned dragon. I launched myself at her rib cage, and heard the satisfying sound of something cracking.

Kalurth walked back, no believing I could hurt her, let alone break something. She swung around, and lashed her tail at me, knocking me past some of the dragons, and into the volcano.

Hmm, time for some fun. I phased into the hole, and traveled underground till I was behind her. All of the dragons were looking at the hole for me.

"T-there! He shouldn't be able to get up from something like that!" She claimed.

"Wow, I would hate it if you were right," I said, causing all the dragons to turn and face me. Some of the dragons had to do a double take to try to understand what just happened.

"Impossible!" Kalurth cried out. "I know I hit you in there!"

"Oh you did, but I decided to do something otherwise," I said happily and aggravated Kalurth farther.

With a shout of rage she tried to simply swipe me with her claws to end it, but I still wanted to have some fun, and let the claws phase right through me. When her claws went through me without harm, all the dragons couldn't believe what they saw.

"What in Tartarus are you?!" Kalurth shouted. She couldn't understand what was going on. She had set me on fire, sent me through solid stone, and sliced me with her claws yet nothing.

"Oh, lets she what am I?" I faked pondered. "Quite simply put I am a monster seeking a peaceful life. A monster that will do nearly anything to protect it," I had gained the crowd's attention at calling myself a monster.

"What kind of monster can do this?! And you are a pony! We can all see that!" Kalurth demanded what all the dragons were thinking.

"A pony?" I said looking at my hoof. "Oh I am something that even the ponies fear," I lock eyes with Kalurth. "My kind are something that could spell the death for all life on this small planet of yours. We have commit genocide of hundreds of races for no more of a reason then we were hungry. We destroy the land, and over work the land to feed our growing population. What am I? I am a monster whose people greatest threat is themselves."

I finished my speech and looked around, with some of the dragons stepping away from me, worried if even half of what I said was true.

I look back at Kalurth and saw even her taking steps back at the sight of me grinning at her.

"And now, time to end this," I said, scaring Kalurth further. "I forfeit!"

The area around me was silent a moment before the dragons began yelling.

"Silence!" The large one bellowed, and turned to me. "You do realize that this mean you forfeit your life."

"No, the way I see it, only one was alive when this challenge started, the other was never alive to begin with," I said.

The large one and I stared at each other for a few moments before he turned away.

"I declare Kalurth winner of this match!" He bellowed.
