(Twilight's POV)

Twilight's body was stiff, and her eyes were wide. Her heart has stopped beating and her blood had turned to ice.

Tails…Murdered…Amy?

"W-w-w-why?" Twilight asked her voice hoarse and shocked. How could the fox that had been so nice to her, could have done something so cruel?

"I-I-I-I couldn't deal with it!" Tails said. "I went down to try and reason with her, but when I came she looked like she was dead. I carried her body into the room she was found in, and placed it on the ground. She suddenly opened her eyes, but they looked sad. She muttered to me "T-Tails. I-I'm so sorry. I-I know what I've done is wrong. I-I want to apologize. To everyone. Especially to Sonic and Rainbow Dash. Please". I didn't want to listen to her. I didn't! From behind her back, I took a big knife and drilled it through her. When I realized what I had done, I made it look as if she had committed suicide. I-I couldn't tell any!"

Twilight's eyes were shaking uncontrollably. She felt as she was about to cry. Tails on the other hand, was already crying and was shaking just as uncontrollably.

"Tails…" Twilight said. Her voice became dry.

"NO!" Tails said and ran out of the room. It didn't take Twilight less than a second to figure out that he left the base. Twilight fell to her knees, her tears falling rapidly down her cheeks. Why? Why did she care for that fox so much? Whenever he neared her, her heart went uncontrollably fast.

Was…Was this what love felt like?

(Tails' POV)

Tails ran quickly into the forest. His tears fell probably even faster than Sonic. He ran until he accidently tripped and fell down a hill. As soon as he stopped, he realized how much he was freezing from the snow. He wrapped his tails around himself and curled into them, as a real fox would have done. His vision suddenly blurred and he fell unconscious.

(Rainbow Dash's POV)

"I know that" Sonic responded. Rainbow Dash's eyes went wide, and she looked at the hedgehog. Confusion was written all over her face.

"Y-You've known all along?" She asked.

"Since you lost your powers. I could sense the new chaos energy inside of you"

"So, all this time…"

"I've known. Have you already told Twilight?"

"N-no…"

"Why not?"

"B-because…I-I'm afraid that all we have to do is find our friends and…that's it"

"What do you mean?"

"Now that I don't have any harmonic energy, I have no destiny that can be completed. So what's the point of being here?"

"I don't think Twilight is going to leave either way"

"Huh? Why?"

"Have you seen the way she looks at Tails? She's always blushing and she's tilting back and forth. She's obviously in love with him"

"But is Tails in love with her?"

"Yep, he's doing the exact same, and his tails are moving faster than they should"

(Tails' POV)

Tails felt…warm. Warm as if he was in front of a fire. But, he was outside…right? Tails opened his eyes slowly, and felt something not so heavy holding him tight in an embrace. He blushed and looked surprised when he saw that it was Twilight. She had wrapped her arms around him, as well as her wings. Tails looked in front of him, and saw a little fire. He was about to leave Twilight's arms, when he realized how cold he was compared to Twilight. He decided in the end to instead of leaving Twilight's embrace, he cuddled close to her and curled himself up in his tails.

Tails didn't know how long he slept, but when he awakened, Twilight was already up, with the fox's arms wrapped around her. Tails embarrassed let go and blushed.

"I-I'm so sorry for that!" Tails said. Twilight looked at him and smiled.

"It's okay. You were cold anyways," Twilight said. She created some water out of her magic, and didn't even ask Tails before sending it into his mouth. Tails swallowed it and sighed as he got the fresh water into his throat.

"Come on, we need to go back" Twilight said and stood up, and started to walk. Tails didn't follow her though. He kept on sitting in the cave. Twilight turned around and looked at him.

"Tails?" She asked.

"I'm not going," He said. Twilight sighed.

"Tails…"

"No. I know what you're gonna say. But it won't do a thing. I'm still a monster"

"You're not a monster! You're far from!"

"If I was far from a monster, how come I killed somebody who begged for forgiveness!?" Tails stood up. Both of them looked at each other angrily.

"You followed your instinct! Who knows, maybe Amy just tried to play a trick on you!"

"No, I said to myself in my mind: 'She doesn't deserve to live', and guess what then!? I murdered her!"

"That doesn't make you a monster!"

"That's what exactly makes me a monster!"

"No! The Tails I know should know this too! The real one knows that whatever he did, he did it for the better!" Tails looked shocked at Twilight.

"The Tails I know is kind, intelligent and generous one. He always follows his instinct, which follows him to the greater good! This Tails blames himself for something he did, even though it would probably be bad if he didn't! Amy was psycho Tails! Even if you didn't kill her, things would have turn out bad. Did you even want to forgive her for what she did!? Do you think any of us would forgive her!? After she tried to murder Rainbow Dash on her 1st day!? After she told some horrible things about Sonic!? After she tried to force Sonic to be hers!? After she almost finished Rainbow Dash for good!? After she tried to make Rainbow Dash run away and commit suicide!? After she lied to me about Rainbow Dash!? How can any of us ever forgive her!? Don't you see how much this is hurting me!?"

Twilight panted and fell to her knees. She burrowed her face in her hands and started to cry. Tails stared shocked at the purple cat who had no idea how he was looking at her.

"Twilight…" Tails muttered out slowly. He walked over to her slowly and sat on her lap, embracing her kindly. Twilight returned the embrace of the warm fuzzy fox. Tails heart was beating uncontrollably. He really had a temptation, to kiss Twilight, right on the lips. Soon, the temptation became too big, and Tails leaned up and kisses Twilight. He didn't look at her, but was surprised when he felt the arms of the cat surrounding him. As their lips was removed from each other's, they looked at each other, both blushing like a tomato.

"T-Tails…" Twilight got out. Tails just stared at her with the same shocked face as hers.

"A-Are you in love with me?" Twilight asked. Tails slowly looked down, and nodded as a response. Suddenly he felt Twilight pull him in to her, and plant her lips on his softly. Tails could only close his eyes, and return the kiss.

Now I understand why Sonic hangs so much out with Rainbow Dash now, hehe
