Chapter 4 - A Night I'll Never Get Back pt2

Ponyville, Equestria

3:45 PM

Haystreet, Rich Estate

I sat on the couch as Diamond watched TV flipping through a fashion magazine looking about the pages one after the other. "Such terrible models," she huffed. I ignored her such a snobby foal, she shouldn't be allowed to be around other ponies.

I heard a knock on the Rich Estate door, I knew it had to have been Diamond Tiara's friend Silver Spoon. She looked to me and watched as I got up and took a moment to stand by the door, knowing that Silver Spoon will scream as I open the door. To my shock, as I opened the door Diamond Tiara's friend simply walked past me and into the living room where Diamond Tiara sat. I scratched my head and sat near the two fillies. And watched and listened to them talk amongst each other.

Most of the things they spoke about were either fashion . . . or insulting me. Nevertheless, I kind of need this job, imagine me out on the streets of Ponyville. I'd not last a second, I'm a human in a pony dominated world, I can't hold up any other job than a foalsitter for the snob Diamond Tiara. "So, what's this biped's name?" Silver Spoon snickered in an insulting tone.

"Gabriel, Silver Spoon," I crossed my arms and shook my head as I disapproved of their insulting comments. "Is that the answer you were looking for?" I asked not realizing how aggressive I was sounding. Of course I wasn't meaning to sound angry but, those fillies really push my buttons. And its like they aren't even trying!

"Gabriel, what a stupid name, but it seems fitting for a stupid biped." She teased and laughed.

"Wow, this is only just getting started and I'm already angry and wanting to quit," I said and looked to the door. "I suppose you'll have to find someo-pony else to watch over you, Diamond," I waited for her to get scared and it popped instantly.

She jumped up and grabbed my leg with one of her hooves. "No!" she stopped me, but in truth I just stopped for her sake. "I mean . . . Daddy already paid for you for the night, you need to stay."

It becomes abundantly clear that Silver Spoon didn't know Diamond Tiara had a fear of the dark and I smiled faintly. "Can I talk to you alone for a moment, Diamond?" I smirked just wanting to be sure that I was right. She walked into the hallway away from Silver Spoon's earshot.

"What is it, biped?" and back to insulting me, okay. "If you don't know my friend is in the other room."

I nodded and smiled. "Yeah, I know, but I have to ask you, does she know you're afraid of the dark?" just her reaction shows the answer being no.

She was taken aback and shook her head. "Of course not! That would change how I look to her!"

I smirked and looked back at the doorway leading to the living room, Silver Spoon was reading over the magazine Diamond previously read. "Okay, you should go and be with your friend," I said as I saw Silver Spoon yawn in her hoof.

Diamond didn't need to be told twice, she ran to Silver Spoon's side and stayed there.

Ponyville, Equestria

6:13 PM

Haystreet, Rich Estate

I take out the dinner that was previously cooked for me by Rich himself, he loves cooking and he actually fired his chef when he found the joys it brings to one's self. So, it was kind of a strain when he works and can't go back home by dinnertime. "So, what's for dinner, biped?" Diamond asked from the table. She was hungry it was obvious, I set down her plate and we ate in complete and utter silence.

After dinner, I did the dishes and sat in the chair I originally occupied before dinner. It suddenly occurred to me that Silver Spoon had left an hour ago. I yawned and attempt to wipe the sleep from my eyes and sniff deeply. Oh if only my medicine has been invented in this world, I could be living a better life if I could get over this normal sniffle. But it occurred to me that it gets WORSE the next day. I stare at the clock for the remaining hours that I was trapped with this god-awful filly and her angering insults.

"So, how did a biped like you buy a house here anyway?" Diamond broke the silence finally.

I shrugged and took out the bag that the pink mare handed me. "Pinkie Pie handed me this bag of bits which had enough to buy this house," in truth that's what happened I didn't save up for the house, I didn't do anything to lower the price of the house, I just bought it from the mayor's office with the help of Pinkie Pie. I check the time, and sighed slapping my knee as I got up and yawning loudly. "Okay, let's get you ready for bed."

After bathing her and watching over her as she dozes off to sleep, I left.

MEANWHILE

Canterlot, Equestria

11:20 PM

Canterlot Castle

Princess Celestia was still awake and watched Luna as she sat atop the royal throne. She still has that sinking feeling that something somewhere is different and this will change the dynamic of Equestria forever. But what is it? "Sister, art thou supposed to be asleep?" Luna asked from the other side of the room.

Princess Celestia nodded and sighed but no words came out of her mouth, for she thought that if she was to breathe this single word, Luna would go crazy and repeat what happened long, long ago when humans lived alongside them . . .
