Rainbow Dash leaned on the recliner in the living room after another long day at work. Monitoring winter was always a tough time of year for the weather team, and that meant more over time for her. She sighed, kicking her back hooves up and throwing her head back. She shut her eyes and felt a pair of hooves slide across her shoulders and down her chest. She chuckled slightly and smiled. "Hi Flutters." Was her tired greeting.

Fluttershy nuzzled her sweet heart behind the ear, holding and caressing her lover. "Hello sweetness." She replied softly. "Here's some fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, just like you wanted." She handed the large cup she had balancing against the recliner to the cyan mare.

Rainbow opened her eyes and smiled happily, ready to rehydrate with a tangy taste. She did not care that it was a summer drink. "Thanks babe." She took the drink eagerly and chugged it down in one massive go. She finished it off with a lick to her lips, already feeling more energized. She looked up just to find no pony there. She glanced forward to see the yellow pegasus sitting on the ground in front of her happily. Rainbow leaned her seat forward and rubbed noses with her marefriend.

Fluttershy was blushing slightly. "I hope you had a good day at work honey." Her voice was soft and sweet to the prismatic pony's ears, just what she needed after a long and hard day.

Rainbow Dash shut her eyes and let the yellow pegasus nuzzle against her. She absent-mindedly ran her hoof through the pink mane, relishing in its softness, and the scent of flowers. "It could be better. But what is done is done. And now I get my favorite part of the day, coming home and spending my time with you." She opened her eyes and looked on softly toward her beloved. She stared deep into the blue eyes that were full of love and devotion. In the blink of an eye she pressed her lips against Fluttershy's, tasting her.

Fluttershy shut her eyes and surrendered to the kiss, leaning forward and letting her lover hold her up. She felt the passion grow between them. She felt all too eager hooves grazing a tad roughly across her back. As their moans grew more lustful, she pulled away, almost in fear, much to her best friend and lover's dismay.

Rainbow held a tired look in her eyes as she felt the smaller pegasus pull away from her. Her face grew a tint of red, more from anger than from passion. She bit her tongue, her expression that of annoyance as she saw the yellow pegasus fluster about, face red from embarrassment. "Again?" she thought as Fluttershy's gaze shifted to the floor.

"I-I'm sorry Dashie. I must finish up dinner. It should be ready in half an hour. I know I should have had it ready by now." She started walking slowly toward the kitchen. "I was just so busy today and—"

Rainbow hopped out of her seat, faking a smile. Her whole body longed for the embrace of the timid filly. "Don't apologize Shy. It's fine. I know things come up, we both have responsibilities after all. You go finish up dinner, I'm going to go for a quick flight to clear this headache."

Fluttershy looked miserable now, eyes big and sad. "Oh dear, I am so sorry Dashie. Maybe you should take a nap if you aren't feeling well? I can give your temples a rub?" she asked hesitantly.

Rainbow let out a heavy breath as she slowly stretched her body. "Nah, it's fine. You do so much for me already. Besides, I have been pretty lazy these past few days. A good fast flight will be good for me. Pick up my spirits." Rainbow studied her marefriend carefully. She could see the want in those sparkling eyes, but she also noticed her firm jaw and faint frown. "She's conflicted about me. Oh Fluttershy, when will you understand I only want to bring you joy. Don't be afraid of me." She pleaded in her mind. She created this mess, she had to deal with the consequences.

Fluttershy's expression finally softened, looking a peg happier. "Alright, just be safe out there. I'm scared you're working yourself to exhaustion Rainbow. I don't want you to have an accident." Fluttershy explained in her motherly tone she always used when concerned.

Rainbow's usual bravado appeared as she puffed her chest out and gave her dashing smile. "It'll take more than a work day and headache to exhaust me, baby. You of all ponies should know that." She joked, to see Fluttershy turn red. Rainbow chuckled, even during this awkward time, seeing Fluttershy all cute and blushing made her feel all bubbly inside. She trotted to her marefriend, planting a quick kiss to her forehead. "I'll be back before dinner's on the table." With that, she flew out the window.

Rainbow Dash's brow was wrinkled in frustration as she forced her sore wings to go faster. She steadied her breath as she decided to do a few laps around town. She licked her lips, grateful for the cold wind to cool down her ignored body, finding comfort in the way the wind blew through her mane. She thought about taking a cold shower, but tossed the idea aside.

"This has been an awful dry spell! I swear, it's been ten weeks since we made love. I barely even get to lay my hooves on her flank nowadays." She thought bitterly as she did a few aerial tricks above the town center. "I thought at first, she was just still getting over the fight. But she has kept me waiting this long, why is she punishing me like this? Doesn't she know I felt bad enough for what happened?"

She stopped her train of thought right there. She mentally yelled at herself, remembering how that train of thought made things tenser in the home. Memories flooded back to her.

Rainbow Dash hadn't slept better in ages. She woke up in her favorite bed, holding her favorite pony. She looked on happily to the peaceful mare, that soft smile swelling her heart with love and pride. She wanted to lie there forever, watching the beautiful pegasus sleep like an angel.

She held her just a bit closer, feeling the softness of her curves, smelling the sweet scent of her mane. Enjoying the heat the yellow beauty radiated from her sleeping state. She felt Fluttershy rustle the smallest amount, her mouth now forming a small o.

Rainbow focused on the pillowy lips, a devilish smile forming on her face. Maybe she could do more than lay there next to her lover. "Ain't nothing better than make up sex." She said to herself as her experienced hooves touched the sleeping mare in all the right places. Fluttershy's whole body was coming alive as she gave out the faintest little moans of pleasure.

Dash took this as her cue to roll on top of the smaller pegasus. Fluttershy's eyes fluttered open to lock onto the magenta ones peering at her. Rainbow Dash caught the freshly awaken mare's lips in a fiery kiss, grinding tenderly against her smaller frame. Rainbow's moans escaped from her busy mouth as Fluttershy lay there, still in a daze. They broke apart for a breath. "Morning babe. You are quite the sight for sore eyes. I think I know who I want for breakfast." She stated smoothly as she went back to kissing, her hooves playing with yellow wings.

Fluttershy's started moaning more, although more in distress rather than pleasure. Rainbow was brought out of her lust filled haze as she felt those same lovely lips pull away and hooves jab her a tad harshly in her sides. "Dash! No, please stop." She heard her lover mutter.

The sign was clear to the fast flyer that her actions were not welcomed. She groaned as she lifted herself off of her marefrined, worried she had hurt her. "Shy? What's wrong? Was I too rough on your wings or something?" she asked, concerned.

Fluttershy looked ashamed, guilty for stopping what should come natural to the two of them. "I-I'm s-sorry Dashie. I just c-can't do this right now." She looked like she might cry, shifting her gaze to her own shoulder. "I'm just not ready yet." She whispered, just loud enough for cyan ears to pick up.

Rainbow Dash stood there, dumbfounded for a full minute, not knowing how to react. She felt hurt, guilt, embarrassed, she felt like a monster. She eventually snapped out of it and moved off the bed, only one fore hoof placed modestly on Fluttershy's. "Fluttershy, I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to force myself on you like that, honest. I just thought, you know, you would have the same idea as me. I thought that's what you would want. If I had known, I would have given you space." She looked down sadly.

Rainbow Dash jumped a bit at feeling a timid hoof hold her own. "It's ok Dashie. I understand. I don't know why I feel this way, I just do. I just, need some time, to get over all of this." Rainbow frowned at the words, worried she might still lose her true love. Fluttershy noticed, and planted an innocent kiss to the sad lips. "I forgive you Rainbow, I just need time, please."

Rainbow smiled, assured again. "Take however long you need babe. I will wait for you as long as it takes."

Rainbow expertly dodged the sturdy apple trees on her friend's farm as she was deep in thought. She could feel the tickle of the leaves brush across her body as she narrowly maneuvered around them. She smiled confidently, her body, spirit and mind as one during flight. She grunted as more memories came back to her.

It had been two weeks since they got back together. It was Rainbow's day off, Fluttershy had an easy schedule, and the dashing pegasus was ready for a night of fun. "Ok, reservations for dinner, check. Tickets to GREAT Bunnies of History, check. If that doesn't prove I am willing to change, nothing will. And of course, this baby!"

Rainbow Dash slowly opened the little box she had hidden beneath her wing. She admired the shine of the jewelry as she slowly lifted it out to look at it. The simple silver chain was pulled out, revealing the lovely pendent she was able to find in Cloudsdale. It was of an elegant butterfly, whose wings were spread wide open. The large wings were intricately designed, brimmed with different gems and stones with every color of the rainbow. She held it up to the bedroom light, wanting to see if the jeweler was right about it creating a rainbow of colors when held at the right angle. Her eyes widened in amazement as soft and glittering hues shinned against everything in the room.

"Ah, yeah! She is going to go gaga over this!" the happy pegasus stated proudly. She just knew tonight would go perfectly. She would wine and dine her cute little lover, and get her to warm up to being more intimate again. They could finally put the whole mess behind them.

She almost dropped the gift as she heard the front door creak open and shut. She felt her nerves act up, in an excited sort of way, as she neatly put it back in the box, and kept it tucked under her wing. She raced down stairs and nearly collided into her unsuspecting partner.

Fluttershy let out a meep of fear as she dropped her groceries and took to the air at the surprise pony and swift gust of wind that awaited her the moment she shut the door. She was holding herself, eyes wide, until the cyan coat and rainbow mane caught her eye. She smiled.

Rainbow had that gleam in her eyes as she looked on, amused at her lover's cuteness. "Fluttershy! Stop fooling around, come down here and come give your awesome pegasus a kiss!" Rainbow playfully yelled, unable to get the grin off her face.

Flutttershy slowly started hovering down as she giggled into her hooves. "Oh, silly me. Of course I will, you sneaky pegasus you." Her eyes were warm and full of life as she gently landed in open fore legs that quickly squeezed tight around her.

Rainbow held her beloved happily, nuzzling into her neck. She soon let go, excited to give her gift and start the date. "I hope you're ready for an awesome night out you pretty filly. You deserve it."

Fluttershy blushed at this, crossing her forelegs. "Oh, Dashie you charmer you." She gingerly swiped her yellow hoof across a blue chest. "Let me just unload this food, and I will be all ready to go. Are you finally going to tell me where we're going?"

Rainbow snorted her laughter as her head lifted higher. "No way baby. That will ruin the surprise! Besides, I know you will love it!" Her eyes drifted to the slender neck, a place she wouldn't mind putting her lips on. That mischievous gleam formed in her eyes as she smoothly circled around her partner.

Fluttershy noticed as she suddenly seemed smaller. The fast flyer settled in closer, pressed against the timid mare. She shut her eyes, taking in her scent as she nuzzled her ear, making the yellow pony coo in delight. She wrapped her fore legs around her frame, smile wide as ever.

"I got a little something for you to wear on our date." She said quietly as she planted a few soft kisses in that one special spot on her lover's neck.

Fluttershy moaned softly as she shut her eyes. She raised an eyebrow, "Really? What is EEP!" she yelped as she felt her naughty marefriend nip at the sensitive flesh.

Rainbow now had her whole face buried in the soft neck, trying her best not to squeeze the poor filly any tighter from sheer excitement. She finally pulled away, and couldn't help the smug look on her face at seeing the awe on Fluttershy's as she caught sight of the opened box masterfully balanced on an outstretched wing. "Well, do you love it, or do you LOVE it?" was Rainbow's question, she gave a toothy grin.

Fluttershy's mouth hung open, the necklace glimmering in her wide eyes. She shook her head clear as she looked at it again. "Oh Rainbow, it's so beautiful! I- I LOVE it!"

Dash chuckled as she fussed with unlocking the chain for just a moment, before getting it undone. She smiled proudly as she managed to lock it around Fluttershy. "You're right, it is beautiful." She brought her face in closer as her gaze connected with Fluttershy's. "But not nearly as beautiful as you are."

Rainbow Dash could feel her heart thump harder in her chest as the quiet filly blushed and ducked her head. It never ceased to amaze her how even bringing these little joys, seeing the smallest smile, brought such fulfillment to her life. She really didn't know how she went through life before.

"Thank you, my sweet Dashie." Fluttershy said quietly, her eyes shinning with unshed happy tears.

"Baby, anything to see ya smile. You deserve everything beautiful in this world." They were both blushing now, and Rainbow took the chance to steal a kiss. "Now let's put this stuff away, we got a date to go on!"

After the date

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were walking slowly, side by side, enjoying the cold night, and the bright moon. Rainbow wrapped her wing over Fluttershy, who was still shivering a bit, even with a coat on. The blue pegasus felt like she could walk on air, which she totally could. Her smile grew wider as she neared the cottage, snuggling ever so closer to her date.

Rainbow cocked her head to the side as she noticed small changes in her lover's demeanor. She put the thought aside as she placed her lips along the side of her head. "Oh Flutters, you know I can't get enough of you."

Fluttershy was blushing again, looking flustered. "Oh, well, thank you. Um—" she softly let out before she was cut off by an eager Dash getting to and opening the door.

The smug pony held the door open with a leg as she did a small bow. "Please, your chamber awaits, my Queen." Dash said in her best guard impression. She looked up, expecting a giggling Fluttershy, only to get one that looked nervous. Dash's breath caught in her throat for a moment, her high being taken down a notch.

"I thought she was having a great night?" Rainbow pondered. She let her marefriend in, and followed quickly after. "No matter. She's about to be in for the night of her life in sexy town!" Rainbow gathered herself again as she turned on a few lights.

Magenta eyes scanned the room, taking in every detail. Her eyes moved slyly to the still nervous pony, bundled up in her coat, slightly hidden under her mane. Rainbow laughed at her cuteness and slinked in closer.

First, she circled around Fluttershy, who was as still as a statue, with the exception of her eyes. She stopped right behind her, politely taking off her winter coat. "Let me just get this for you, dear." The flashing pegasus gave a quick nod of approval to see their reflection in the mirror, and how stunning her gift looked on her special somepony right now.

The sky blue flyer licked her lips as she leaned her body atop the crème colored one, sliding her fore legs expertly over Fluttershy's shoulders, and across her chest. She could see her tender lover shut her eyes tight, biting her lip.

Rainbow slowly rubbed her face in the pink mane. She made her way to one perky ear, gently taking it in her teeth and nibbling in that soft yet firm way. "So. The living room is empty, the sofa is all free. And it's just you, and me." She explained while swirling her tongue along the ridge of the yellow ear.

Rainbow smiled with glee as she felt the smaller pegasus tremble underneath her. "Oh, Rainbow." Was all the yellow mare could muster out in a shaky breath.

Rainbow Dash's breath grew heavier as her hooves moved along the shivering body. "I could take you in front of this mirror. Right here." She softly bit into Fluttershy's neck, feeling the chain and flesh in her teeth, hearing her lover's quick intake of air. "Right now." The excited pegasus growled.

Fluttershy started to squirm as she felt hooves play with her wings, noticing those fiery eyes watch her intently from the reflection. "Please Rainbow."

Rainbow Dash could practically hear her heart thump in her chest, felt like she could explode. She wanted this, needed this. She felt every feather twitch as every sense was heightened in this beginning of ecstasy. It felt like so long since she was last in control, of both her everyday life and her love life. Her dominance was overflowing, the need to lead them into something fast paced and calorie burning overwhelming. Tonight the gates of heaven would once again open up for her, and she never wanted to leave. "It's going to be so freaking hot!" she whispered into Fluttershy's ears as she held the pony tighter.

"Please… stop Rainbow."

Just like that, everything that was going right in her life went wrong. She had to remember to breath, as she felt her face grow hot. "What was that Fluttershy?" she prayed she misheard.

"I said to stop." She repeated, more firm this time. Rainbow Dash's hooves shook, which did not go unnoticed by the smaller pony.

Rainbow let go, her eyebrows furrowed down. Her wings, which were once up and flapping in anticipation, were now flaring, unknowingly, in agitation. "What? What is it?" she already knew where this was heading.

Fluttershy, taken aback for a moment, firmed her gaze. "Look Dashie, I'm just not ready yet." She explained.

Rainbow felt steam coming from her ears. How could things be going so good, only to be going down the drain in a matter of seconds? "Not ready? Still Fluttershy? I thought things were going great tonight?" Rainbow nagged in a pleading tone.

Fluttershy frowned as her gaze softened. She lovingly placed her hoof on Rainbow's shoulder. "Dashie, please listen. Tonight has been wonderful, I haven't had that great of a time in ages. It's just, I'm still not ready to move on to that part of our relationship yet? I need more time, please understand—"

Rainbow nudged the hoof off her shoulder. "I have been understanding! I have waited patiently! What can possibly be wrong! I already said I'm sorry!" Rainbow Dash yelled, stomping her hooves as she moved away from Fluttershy.

Fluttershy hunched over slightly, feeling uncomfortable. "It's not about that. Look, I don't know what's wrong, I just know I need more time."

Rainbow grumbled under her breath, trying to control her frustration. "Look, I'm trying really hard, ok? But, isn't this taking long enough already?"

Fluttershy rolled her eyes and gave an annoyed sigh. "You're the one who messed up Dash. Don't rush me just because I need more time to deal with how you treated me!" she said, a little stronger than necessary.

One of Rainbow's eyelids twitched as she snorted. "I know I messed things up! It seems like everypony wants to remind me! I'm working on it, I really am. You don't have to keep throwing it in my face like that." Rainbow felt all her muscles tense when Fluttershy frowned and looked away, unbelieving. "I'm not the same Rainbow Dash that loses control! I just, I don't know!"

"Well, what?" Shy asked, her eyes getting teary.

Rainbow's stomach knotted as she ground her teeth. "It's just, I thought we agreed to put it in the past. I'm improving everyday. I just want some, reassurance from you, that you aren't always going to hate me for it. I already hate myself for it."

Now Fluttershy was getting angry with all her mixed emotions. "I don't hate you. I forgive you. But I can't forget what you did, how you treated me. And it's not fair that all you can think about it sex when I'm hurting inside!"

The rainbow head flung back in surprise as she stomped closer. "See, there you go again. That's not all I think about when it comes to you! Of course I know you're hurting! I'm sorry, for the millionth time! All I think about is trying to make you happy! That's all I want to do, make it up to you, take care of you, see you smile!" she yelled, tears building up. She breathed harder, determined not to cry.

"Sex is just a small percent of our love! I keep my eyes on the future, I spend each day thinking of how to make you happy, and proud. And it's like, each mistake I make, you just throw what I did in my face! Like all the hard work I have been doing means shit to you!" her voice strained as she desperately tried to get her point across.

"Well it doesn't help when you start yelling and cursing like this." Fluttershy complained.

"So, you're just going to sit there and deny all the good I've been doing, and bring me down? That's all you have been saying lately, how much I ruined our relationship!" Dash said back.

Fluttershy rolled her eyes, getting upset. "Hello? Of course you have been doing well. But you just can't expect me to just forget what YOU did!"

"I know you can't forget. Neither can I. But you can't keep bringing that up every time I try to move on! I need you to move on with me, get past all that nastiness, so we can work on getting better." Rainbow's magenta eyes peered into Fluttershy's, watching her frown as she thought about her words. "I didn't think you were the kind to hold onto a grudge Shy."

Fluttershy looked at her, scorn in her eyes. It hurt the cyan pegasus to see it. "I can when the pony I thought loved me broke my heart to pieces."

Rainbow snarled, shutting her eyes. She felt the tears trying to come through. "Fine! If I disgust you so much, I'm getting out of here."

Fluttershy looked away, hurting inside too, surprised at how hard she was feeling. Now she felt panic, her lover was going for good. "Where are you going to?"

"I don't know. To my home. Out of town. It doesn't matter."

"You don't have to do that Dash." Fluttershy felt her stomach turn.

"Yeah I do. You need time, I need to cool down before I get all fired up." She stated, looking down.

"You always get mad at me, and then just leave me behind. Just like when Discord—"

Rainbow turned on a dime, bringing her face closer. "Don't you dare compare this to that time Shy. I'm not leaving you behind. I'm giving us our space. I want to let off some steam, so I can talk to you like a rational pony. You're hurting me, and I'm hurting you. I'm not going to make the same mistake of saying words I don't mean again. Okay? I will be back by morning."

Rainbow saw the yellow head lower in surrender, in defeat. She could hear her sniffle. It made the tough flyer want to cry too. She crept up slowly, and nuzzled her face back up. She held her chin with a hoof. "I'm sorry if I made you feel cornered. We will talk more in the morning, okay?" She saw a small smile form, and a small yet firm nod. She shut her eyes and laid a tender kiss on Fluttershy's forehead. "I love you."

She didn't wait for a reply, as she was already airborne.

Rainbow banked left as she headed back to the cozy cottage near the Everfree. She did feel bad for how easily she lost her cool that night. But she felt good about voicing her opinions on their fight though. She did come back the next morning. Both thought about what the other said. Fluttershy saw that she was holding on to her pain, and not moving forward, just like she did with her fears. It made Rainbow smile to see she had been working hard on letting go of the past.

And Rainbow worked every day on her patience and temper. She was gaining more will power every day. Her nose delighted in the sweet and savory smells coming from the lovely home. A smile grew as her stomach growled. She landed gracefully, stretching after a good work out.

She entered through the door, the smell of a hot meal growing stronger. She stopped at the entrance, all her previous negativity washing away as she saw Fluttershy finishing placing dinner on the table. There was no Angel or Tank. Hibernation was the reason why. She remembered how hard she took to Tank needing to fall asleep. She remembered how her friends helped her through it, how Fluttershy held her that night, as she bawled like a baby.

Fluttershy was just adding some hot apple cider from the Apple Family Farm. She flipped her mane back, wanting to show what she wore around her neck.

The sky loving Pegasus skipped to her spot on the table, seeing her gift sparkle. "You're wearing the necklace I got you!" she beamed. Her lover had not worn it since the first night she got it. It hurt Rainbow Dash inside that she had not worn something she bought out of love. It took a long time to find just the right one. But her problems were many, and that was just a small issue.

"Yes, thank you again Dashie. It is so beautiful. I really do love it! I don't know why I haven't put it back on, I'm sorry." She said softly, timidly. She played with it with a hoof.

Rainbow walked up to her, nuzzling her cheek. "Don't be, it's in the past. You are wearing it now."

Fluttershy nestled under the strong blue wing, something she also hadn't done since their last date. "Well, I promise not to take it off again. I want everypony in Equestria to see what a lovely gift my charming hero got me." She pecked her on the cheek.

The larger pony was surprised by how affectionate her little lover was being. It hadn't felt this nice, this natural, in a long time. Her heart skipped a beat at feeling how close Fluttershy was to her right now, her entire being just wanted to hold her close. Then her tummy protested.

The yellow caretaker giggled, patting the loud stomach. "Somepony is hungry! Come, I made a really good stew. And I know how much you like apple cider." She offered with a smile.

Rainbow Dash felt happy and goofy again. "Awesome sweetness! Thanks for always feeding me so well. And for the cider!" She laughed at her cider obsession. She sat down, and was delighted at how great the meal looked. She went muzzle first, not realizing how hungry she was.

She stopped when she noticed how much her lover was staring. She wiped her face with a napkin, blushing. "Heh, sorry. It's just so good, ya know." She looked down at her nearly empty bowl. "Thanks again, for everything." She looked back up to see the quiet mare smiling tenderly.

"It's quite alright Dashie, my dear. It always brings my heart joy to see how much you love my cooking. Besides, you work so hard, and do such a great job leading everypony. You deserve to enjoy yourself." She refilled her lover's bowl, and picked up the spoon in her lips. She scooped up the food, and offered it to her beloved.

Rainbow felt her cheeks grow red again. The act of feeding each other hadn't happened in a really long time too. "Why had I stopped doing that for her?" She happily took a bite. "Mmm, so good. Now it's my turn baby."

She tenderly filled her spoon and gently placed it to those yellow lips she loved so much. She could smell the calming lavender scent from the pink mane, their eyes connected with their faces being so close. Fluttershy hadn't opened her mouth yet, she just had that loving look on, smiling softly.

A corner of Rainbow's mouth pulled into a grin with the spoon still in her mouth. She lovingly pressed the spoon between the yellow lips, making them part. "Close your eyes, and I'll kiss you baby." She thought randomly. As she saw her lover's eyes close, she swore she could hear music playing all around her. Her heart beat harder. She placed the spoon back in the bowl as she watched Fluttershy savor the food.

Rainbow looked her up and down. She appreciated all those little parts that collectively made up Fluttershy. Every inch of that yellow body that she loved. Once she saw the quiet mare swallow, she quickly pressed her lips against the soft buttery ones. She could feel that spark ignite in her chest at the quick show of affection.

She pulled away just as fast, watching those crème cheeks grow hot, gaining a strawberry glow. "I love you." The three simple words popped into her head, unsaid. Fluttershy looked down, hiding behind her mane, but the blue flyer was able to see her smile all the same. The ever so shy pony brought her face closer, and Dash gently placed her hoof around her slender frame.

Their lips met again, and time felt like it slowed as she heard music again. Rainbow Dash felt so relieved, knowing that their love was still there and strong. She felt the urge to swallow that cute face whole. She wanted to consume her. She held back though, really thinking about it. All those times recently, when she made the first move, it always ended with her Shy feeling cornered. They talked often after the last spat, Fluttershy feeling like she wasn't really in control of anything since Rainbow's birthday. So the cyan mare decided to let the fair mare get comfortable enough to make the first move.

It worked. Rainbow shut her eyes, tasting the sweetness of those soft lips, nose full of her scent. She could feel her heavy breath on her face. "I'm probably breathing even harder." She laughed inwardly. She heard a little moan from her partner, felt her nuzzle closer. She felt a pair of hooves trace over her shoulders, softly at first. She felt them stroke her there harder, as she felt a wet tongue lick her lips.

Dash smiled, and opened her mouth as she pulled the smaller pegasus closer, just the littlest bit. She felt the heat grow between them as Fluttershy fully pressed her body against hers. Rainbow's wings were slowly flapping now, keeping them cool. She felt so alive, felt like she was soaring so high above the clouds. She released a moan herself, holding her marefriend tightly. She caressed her back up and down, opening her eyes to see a pair of beautiful, almost golden wings unfurl gracefully.

Fluttershy deepened the kiss again, much to brash pegasus' surprise. She gladly let her, and started to pet the marvelous wings, feeling each perfect feather under her hooves. Rainbow felt more powerful than Celestia herself as she held her affectionate lover up and close. Her heart was pounding faster than it had earlier when she was zipping through the sky. She was sure Fluttershy could feel it, hear it. Their tongues danced around each other, swirling and twirling with familiarity. The sky blue flyer rubbed her rear hoof up and down a milky leg, feeling Fluttershy begin to rock. Then an almost monstrous growl roared from the smaller pony, much to Rainbow's surprise.

Her magenta eyes shut tight as she snorted a laugh, grinning wickedly. She felt Fluttershy tuck her head and hide it in the crook of her neck. She could feel how hot her face was, and couldn't help her laughter as it escaped. "Oh, stop it you! It's not, i-it's not that—funny!" each word grew louder with embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! It's just—" she felt Fluttershy pound lightly on her chest, playfully. "Hilarious! It was too perfect!" She finally looked down, and saw how flushed her lover looked. She held her face in her hooves, squishing the already pouting face. She gave Fluttershy one of her dashing smiles, watching the feign anger in her puckering face.

Rainbow Dash grinned and pressed her nose against the other. "You are so freaking cute, you know that?" she finally let the scowling face go, cheeks still red from their heated moment, and the growling tummy. "Come on babe, finish your dinner. I know you have been busy all day too, probably forgot to eat again." Dash said, then picked up a spoon and fed her marefriend.

They fed each other for a while, just looking into each other's eyes, enjoying the company. Rainbow Dash felt so content, to see love, affection, and even desire mirrored back in those blue eyes. She rested her head on one hoof, listening as best as she could. Fluttershy went on about her weekly tea party with Discord. Rainbow Dash was happy she worked Tuesdays, so she wouldn't be home to see him. But he was a part of Fluttershy's life now, so he was a part of hers too. "An annoying part of my life." She thought begrudgingly.

"That's nice. Anything new with him? Flipped any towns upside down?" Fluttershy giggled at the joke.

"Well, he did turn Princess Celestia's room upside down when she woke up. He says she wasn't very happy about that. He says he was trying to show her how she made him feel. It didn't go so well."

Rainbow face hoofed herself. "He needs to do more research on how to tell a pony you like them! I actually feel a little sorry for him."

Fluttershy daintily placed her hoof on her lips, holding in her laughter. "I know. Poor guy. He never wants to listen to my advice on the matter though."

"Maybe we can send him to Rarity?" Dash sneered teasingly.

Fluttershy's eyes widened at the thought, her mouth hanging open. "Oh no, no, no, no! She would be so upset! She is still rather mad about the whole Turek experience."

Rainbow was amazed at how much happened in these ten weeks. It seemed something big every day. Yet her biggest concern was still making Fluttershy trust her again. She was happy it was finally happening. Her goofy expression came back again as she thought of another way to "help" Discord. "I'm sure Princess Twilight Sparkle can give him some helpful lessons on how to be a, Proper Suitor!" She beamed as she heard Fluttershy lose it from her obscene idea and Twilight impression.

She took another swig of her regular apple cider, relishing the taste, giving her Flutters a chance to pull herself together. After the hoot and holler from Discord's love troubles, they quieted down. They looked deep into each other's eyes. Rainbow Dash frowned suddenly, looking away.

Fluttershy seemed to know what was on her marefriend's mind. "You're still a little sad over Tank, aren't you sweet heart?" She reached over, and lovingly placed her hoof over Rainbow's unmoving one.

Dash responded with a sniffle. She looked up with her sad eyes. "Yeah, I guess I am. It's only been two weeks since he went to—" she still didn't like coupling Tank with that word, "hibernation." She could hear the disdain in her own voice. "I know I'm acting like a big baby about the whole thing. It's not like he is dying or anything. I guess I feel a piece missing with him gone for the winter."

Fluttershy pouted, patting the still hoof understandingly. She scooted closer, placing her wing over Rainbow Dash. "Oh Dashie, I know that feeling all too well. You have a special connection with Tank, something you have never had with a pet before. And he is away for a whole season, of course you are going to miss him." She nuzzled behind a blue ear. "And that's ok. All those feelings of loss, that's normal to feel. You don't have to pretend like you don't feel those feelings. Remember how you cried when I went on that trip to see the Breezies?"

Rainbow had a look of terror on her face as she finally moved that hoof to cover Shy's mouth. "Shh! I don't want anypony to hear that. You didn't say anything, did you? It's bad enough the girls all saw me crying like a baby!"

Fluttershy smiled, nuzzling her again. "Of course I didn't say anything. Even Discord didn't figure it out, he just thought you ditched everypony because you hate him."

Rainbow ran a hoof through her mane. "Hate's a strong word." Once upon a time, that was how she felt though. She hated that her friends were mad that she left them hanging on that faithful day Discord decided to pop up and harass Twilight and Cadence. She really couldn't stand to be near him, but she was also a wreak, having Fluttershy gone for two weeks, during their already strained relationship. She could never admit it to her friends though, they would know how bad things were.

"It's okay to feel sad, or scared, or hurt Dashie. Because, expressing those things is how we know to help you when you feel that way. No pony should have to face that alone. I know, I tried for so many years."

Rainbow Dash felt sad again. Her beloved Fluttershy was alone for so long. And she was her best and oldest friend. Yet she never noticed how much help she needed. She always focused on keeping up appearances, showing strength, and never showing her tender side. She sighed, she still carried a lot of guilt.

"The way you got over Tank, that's the way I reacted ever winter for many, many years you know. I have a special connection with all my animals. It's my talent. For a long time, they were the only ones I could truly talk to about all my feelings. Winter was always such a depressing time for me, minus Hearth's Warming Eve."

"Wow, I never thought about how you take this time of year. No wonder you always seem more alive during Winter Wrap Up." Rainbow thought aloud. She looked at her lover, guilty. "I'm sorry I never took notice."

Fluttershy smiled. "It's alright. How could you anyway, when I always locked myself inside? I shut everypony out, I never let any of you know I needed help. You can't get help until you ask. I have learned that."

Rainbow nodded in understanding. Fluttershy was right, it was easier when she showed her emotions, and her friends where there to see her through when Tank had to hibernate, as hard as it was letting go.

"Anyway, dealing with winter is much easier, now that I have you here to keep me company. Plus the dogs, chickens, and cats." Fluttershy explained as she pet a young shih tzu on the head.

"Well, it helps having you with me too. I really didn't realize everything I was missing, until I was honest about my feelings for you." Dash smiled lovingly, watching the buttery cheeks begin to redden again. She felt that dreamy feeling as her mood went from depression to arousal with just one wink from Fluttershy.

She knew she had that dumb lover's smile on her face, as she stood up. "Dinner was great babe, thanks again. Why don't you rest up, I'll take care of the mess."

Fluttershy stood up on all fours too, stretching her body and looking at the clock. It had been just over two hours since Rainbow Dash came home for dinner, and it was getting late. She trotted over with some dishes to the sink. "Please Dashie, I want to help. You work hard too."

"You know the house rules. You cook, I clean. Go get some rest baby." Dash ordered.

Fluttershy gave a booty bump to her partner. "I believe I am still the owner of this cottage. How about, you wash, and I'll dry. It will go faster that way."

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes over exaggeratingly. "Yes boss lady. Whatever you say."

They giggled and played around while cleaning up. They splashed soap water on each other's faces, blew in each other's ears, and just laughed as they made faces to each other. The cleaning went by fast, faster than they realized.

Rainbow Dash was sitting in front of the sink, drying off her hooves with a rag. She felt like a filly again. Chores were always fun when she was doing them with her bestie. The fur on the back of her neck stood up suddenly when she had the feeling that somepony was right behind her.

Fluttershy leaned her body over Rainbow's, her lover's strength holding them both up. She buried her muzzle into the prismatic mane. The cyan mare closed her eyes, wanting to focus on the touches she felt. "So, I was at Sweet Apple Acres today to get the cider. I had a little chat with Applejack."

Rainbow Dash was in heaven with the massage Fluttershy was giving the back of her head. She felt tingles in her spine as she felt the nuzzles turn to kisses. "Hm. That's good." She didn't really seem to care about the conversation with AJ at the moment.

"A very interesting topic came up. Something I think you would like very much." Fluttershy pressed on. She added licks to her kisses, as she trailed them down the lean blue neck.

Since Fluttershy was still talking, Rainbow Dash was trying hard to listen, even if she was failing. She bit her lip, trying to silence the sounds in her throat that tried to escape her mouth. It was bliss, she hadn't gotten this affection in so long. "Oh, ah. That's great Shy. What wa—" she had to pause as she felt her lover's tongue prodding her neck. "What's it all about?" she finally managed.

Fluttershy smiled, unknowingly. She stopped her kisses, and resumed to nuzzling. She could smell the winter air, and wet clouds in her lover's fur. "We talked about the original Poison Joke incident. How she was tiny and your wings were flipped upside down."

Rainbow Dash seemed confused about why that particular adventure was brought up, or why anypony in their group would like it, least of all herself. But she was more confused about Fluttershy teasing her the way she was, then going back to the silly subject. "Okay. Can you do that thing with your tongue again?" she finally asked.

She grimaced as she heard the mischievous mare giggle. Her eyes sprang open as she felt her lover's muzzle near a certain sweet spot on her neck. "She sure is asking for it now." Rainbow thought, her already motivated mind going on overdrive.

"Applejack told me how she was able to wrangle you up, and how she got you to open your wings and fly steady." Fluttershy whispered seductively. She prodded a particular spot right next to the carotid artery in her athletic lover's neck. She could feel her quick pulse as she held it there.

Rainbow's powerful wings shot open in a flash as she gasped. Her magenta eyes were wide, and she felt her legs shake. She quickly turned to look her marefriend in the face. She could see her desperation in those blue eyes, knew she held that same need in her own. "Do you really want to?" she whispered.

Fluttershy answered by shutting her eyes and nipping that same spot on her provoked lover's neck. She held the flesh gently in her teeth, grinding it ever so moderately as she heard the stirred pegasus' wild growl.

All of Rainbow's muscles tensed up as the grinding turned to suckling. Every feather was flared out, as she tasted a hint of iron on her tongue. She barely noticed she was biting her lip a little too hard. "Oh thank you!" she exclaimed in her thoughts.

The center of her attention finally pulled away and gave a coy look as she tried to hide her giggling with a wing. She motioned for the bedroom. "Why don't we take this upstairs Dashie. I believe I have been keeping us both waiting far too long."

The biggest grin overtook Rainbow's face as she swiftly picked up her lover and took to the air. "You don't have to tell me twice sweet stuff." They were up stairs in a flash, and they made up for all their lost time for hours.

Howdy again. Sorry for the long wait. Things have been hectic for me, and I just couldn't get started. I decided to make this chapter shorter, since the next few will have a different feeling. I wanted to end this one nicely, and not too graphic. I have my final coming up. So after this week, I will get started on the next chapter. Big things a coming! Well, I hope this was good enough for such a long time of not posting. I hope it is well received. Let me know by leaving a comment/review. Again, thanks for all the encouragement and support. Until next chapter,
