A/N: As much as I enjoy writing Discord, I need to deal with Nightmare Spectre.

Another Challenge for you: Harry is sent to Equestria (Post Discord's reform) and adopted by the newly coronated Princess Twilight. Discord is a designated foal sitter to try to give him some responsibility since Cadance is busy running the Crystal Empire. Spike is very protective of the infant and tries to get Discord in trouble with various shenanigans. Would like this to be a drabble series. Harry should be human in this.

I would love to see more Harry raised in Equestria fics. Here are some recommendations:

Shining Armor (Before he starts dating Cadance so as to create "New Mom" looming tension

The Cakes (I've lost inspiration for my Raised By Cakes series) He should be a unicorn.

Gilda (with Harry as a pegasus, Gilda's father should be the Emperor of the Griffon Empire) should be GildaDash

Soarin and Spitfire (with Harry as a unicorn foal. Soarin and Spitfire retire from the Wonderbolts and move to Ponyville)

Celestia (From infancy as a unicorn foal after the AK)

Luna on the moon as Nightmare Moon from infancy as an alicorn with similarities to her. He should be a foal when she is released from the moon.

The chapter kicks off AFTER Discord is returned to his stony prison.

One last note, Nightmare Spectre will have armor similar to the Jaden as the Supreme King from Yugioh Gx.

Chapter 17: The Return of Harmony Part 2 (Nightmare Spectre)

Summary: With Discord now stone again the Elements must deal with another threat. This time closer to home...

The Elements of Harmony mares all cheered as Equestria returned to normal. Since the Element of Courage hadn't been discovered when the Princess's first turned Discord to Stone,

"But how did we do it Twi?" Applejack asked the unicorn. "How did we do it without Courage?"

"What Discord said earlier made me realize that though Harry is the LIVING representation of Courage, just as you and I and all of our friends are the living embodiments of our Elements of Harmony, the Courage flows through all of us. Without the Courage to stand up for Kindness, Loyalty, Generosity, Laughter, Honesty and Magic, the Elements of Harmony would just be useless trinkets." Twilight said motioning to their.

"Hey! What happened to Harry's Element?!" Rainbow Dash shouted as she looked in the book of the Elements.

The mares all gathered around. The Element of Courage had lost its light and color. And it had snapped in two.

"Well done My little ponies." Came the voice of Princess Celestia. "But I am afraid I have dire news."

"More dire than this freak?" Rainbow Dash asked gesturing to the now stone Discord.

"Even more dire than Discord. Touch either one of us My Little Ponies. Be warned you will not like what you are about to see..." Celestia held out a hoof as well as Luna. Three of the mares held onto each Princess.

They where suddenly in a vast hallway. Filled with rows upon rows of doors from the floor up. Each leading into the subconcious of a pony.

"Hey! My name is on this door!" Pinkie Pie said eagerly. Her door was covered in party decorations and sweet treats.

"Mines right here!" Applejack said. Hers being covered in Apples and farm equipment.

"All our doors are close together." Twilight noted. Her door resembled a book cover. Representing her love of knowledge. Rarity's was covered in lustrous pearls and glittering diamonds and precious gemstones. Fluttershy's had animals and Rainbow Dash's had animations of Sonic Rainbooms. However...there was one doorway that had a single green lightning bolt on it. Its surrounding cracks where filled with a dark aura. Did something happen to their youngest Element? Is this why his Element broke?

"This is the Hallway of The Dream Guardian." Luna said as the group traveled down the hallway. With these doors the Guardian of Dreams accesses each pony's subconcious to monitor their dreams and nightmares."

"Is this your job Luna?" Twilight asked timidly.

"Luna chuckled. "Fear not Twilight Sparkle. No harm can come to thou whilst I am with thee in these chamvbers."

"Your majesty, not that I'm complaining or anythin' about ya bringin' us here but...where's my baby?"

Celestia lowered her head. "This is why we are here. Luna?" She gestured for her sister to continue.

Luna nodded grimly and walked over to Harry's door. "Normally, Harry's door is this simple lightning bolt of green. However since yesterday it has become a dark and forboding door filled with anxiety, hatred and self loathing."

"The same way Luna's door was when she was possessed by Nightmare Moon." Celestia told the Elements of Harmony who all gasped.

"Are you say-" Twilght sputtered. "W-w-how is that possi-Didn't we?"

"You indeed destroyed the spirit of Nightmare Moon Twilight Sparkle." Celestia told her faithful student. "However the darkness that dwelled within Luna is in all of those who possess Alicorn blood. In this way our line is a blessing, and a curse. If one where to say, "snap" as the young ponies say nowadays, the alicorn would go into a catastrophic, destructive rage."

"Nightmare Moon." Twilight said in understanding. "Then...no it can't be. This has to be a mistake."

"His last thoughts as Harry will explain everything." Celestia said as she entered the doorway after Luna opened it.

"Twi I really don't like where this is goin'." Applejack said, very disturbed by the history of alicorns lesson they just recieved.

"I don't either, but we have no choice." Twilight followed her teacher into the darkness of Harry's subconciousness. The rest followed. Fluttershy stopped.

"You guys really seem to have this down and that seems awfully dark EEP!" The pink maned mare cried out as Rainbow Dash's hoof grabbed her and pulled her inside the darkness forcefully.

The group was suddenly in a dark dimension full of hanging mirrors.

"I have to say, Our beloved nephew's subconsious is one of the most..interesting I have ever visited." Luna stated "Its not normally like this."

"What's his mind normally like?" Twilight asked with genuine interest.

"Normally our nephew's dreamscape/subconcious is full of life, love and happiness. You raised a fine son Applejack. However I have not been in here since the door changed."

"Interesting...yeah right. More like creepy. Did Discord do this to him?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Impossible. Discord can only corrupt, not possess." Celestia told her little ponies. "Though it is possible that whatever Discord tried to corrupt him with caused him to "snap."

"I must say though these are fabulous mirrors." Rarity flicked her mane in one.

"Aren't you gonna come play with us today? You seem a lot better."

"That's Sweetie Belle." Rarity said in shock. The group gathered around to see the mirror. It showed a younger Sweetie Belle, the same age Harry is now, Harry was 6. He had bandages wrapped around his middle.

"No that's okay. I'm gonna rest so I can get better!" Harry said semi eagerly with his ears down. "Ow." He rubbed his middle.

"Wow your lucky you only got cracked ribs. Isn't your uncle Macintosh like Super Strong and everything?"

"Yeah. I'm lucky I didn't get killed by the buck I got." Harry said with a slight grin. "Ow." He cringed visibly again."

"I remember this. Harry had gotten bucked accidentally by Big Macintosh. He wanted to help buck apples." Rarity said.

"Cover story. His wings where growin'." Applejack said.

Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash winced as did Luna and Celestia.

"Why would that hurt?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"When a pegasi's wings begin to grow its very painful because they grow rather quickly in a few days. Unlike poor Scootaloo, who's wings are stunted in grow." Luna explained.

Scootaloo in the memory hmmed as she rubbed her chin as the Crusaders all left. There was something fishy about this. Oh well she'd figure it out later.

"See you at dinner." Harry said to Applebloom. Then he curled up on his bed and let a tear fall. "Ow." He groaned. "Why am I such a FREAK?"

The word echoed through Harry's mind. "Freak, freak, freak, freak."

The mirror cracked all throughout and shattered into light.

"You made him hide his wings Applejack?" Celestia asked.

"We didn't want you to take him away from us Princess." Applejack said in shame. "I guess it affected him more than I thought. "Of course...that's not all I did." She said hanging her head.

"Uncle Macintosh why does Momma send me away every three years?" A younger Harry asked the larger Stallion. "She did this around this time three years ago."

"Cause she wants you to meet auntie and uncle Orange this time." The large stallion said as he strolled casually with the cart carrying the six year old foal Harry. "Since we gotta work a land deal in Manehattan, now would be the perfect time to introduce ya."

"This was when Harry and Mac went to Manehattan to close out a land deal with Sneaky Deal." Applejack said. "It was the Apple Family Reunion. Every one until this past one I sent him away somewhere."

"So when you sent him to help me model dresses you where...hiding him from your RELATIVES?"

"Harry had that exact same reaction when he figured it out." Applejack said with her head lowered. "You gotta understand the Apple family has VERY conservative views on foal rearing. Most mares don't approve of single mothers. Male or female mothers. I was afraid of being ostracized from the family for being single during his foalhood."

"And in turn you ostracized him. Two wrongs don't make a right Applejack Apple." Celestia said sternly. She was disappointed in the Element of Honesty.

"I know. And I'm ashamed of how I treated him. No wonder he felt like a freak." Applejack said in understanding.

"At least I get to meet somepony related to the Apple Family." Young Harry said to himself as he curled up in the cart.

"At least the visit went well. Auntie and Uncle Orange dote on him like they did me and Big Macintosh when we where his age and still do with Applebloom. They adore him." Applejack said calmly. "That still don't excuse what I-"

"Hey! There he is!" Pinkie Pie said as she looked down. Harry was indeed down

"Discord showed me the truth." Said Harry to nopony sadly. His eyes where bloodshot and dialated. "Nopony loves me. My family lied to me my entire life." He said in despair.

"That'x not true sugarcube! Discord's a big liar!"

"Yeah! Don't listen to that monster!" Rainbow Dash said trying to encourage the foal.

"Now Discords ruined the friendships of the Elements of Harmony. Now I'm alone. I'm all alone"

"No never! Your never alone!" Twilight tried to get his attention.

Applejack's heart was breaking seeing her foal like this. She wanted to strangle Discord with her bare hooves!

"Of course your alone. Everypony's alone." Came a dark insidious voice similar to Harry's that made everypony gasp as a dark pony figure in evil looking armor stared down at the alicorn foal from several mirrors. "So what if your friends are gone and your family lied to you? You can't change the past. You can only look to the future! Equestria is yours for the taking! But you have to truly want it! And in order to take it you need power! Accept my power, and nothing will stand in your way!"

The Elements and Princesses watched in horror as Harry rose into the air with dark magic circling around him. Celestia having a flash back of when Luna became Nightmare Moon before her very eyes.

"There can be only ONE Princess of Equestria! And that Princess is ME!" Celestia watched in horror as Luna rose into the air encircled with dark magic...

"No." She pleaded. "Not my grandbaby. Please not again."

"I am..."Nightmare Spectre."

Nightmare Spectre's eyes opened and magic surged around him in the form of intense wind. The mares screamed as they and the Princesses where all hurled out of Harry's subconcious.

"Momma!" Applejack heard before the door closed forcefully. They watched as the door was suddenly chained from the inside.

"That is very powerful magic. Nopony in existance can block a Dream Door from my entrance." Luna said in shock. "This Nightmare Spectre knows what he is doing."

"He's still in there!" Applejack said in panic pounding on the door with her hooves. "My baby is still in there! I heard him!"

"Applejack you saw what happened! Harry' s Nightmare Spectre now!" Rainbow Dash said as she tried to pull her friend away from the door before she got hurt.

"NO! He needs me! He called out to me! He's scared!" Applejack said as she bucked the door hard. It shook then hurled her away and electrified itself. Harry's signature black electricity surging around the door.

"Its just as I feared." Celestia said. "My Little Pony's, if you cannot return my grandfoal back to himself, you may have an impossible task."

"Impossible task?" Twilight asked in confusioni, very disturbed by what she just saw happen in their youngest Element's mind.

"For the good of Equestria, if you cannot return Harry to normal, you must send him to the Moon."
