My Little Pony: Magical Meaning

Chapter 1

Tearful Legacy

Comet winked into existence behind the school barn walking around it he headed inside for dinner. The other ponies all rambled inside freezing at the sight of him before sitting down. Once again wondering how he beat them here... again?!

Staring at the Ponies all talking happily he wished for their acceptance. But then the teacher came out and putting down their meals he stomped off.

Now the reason all the youngsters eat together is because a rule says until they reach a certain age they must do so.

Comet ate quickly then walked upstairs to his small, VERY small bedroom and sat down listeningas the Ponies walked home.

Comet reviewed his life and tears glittering at the corner of his eyes he started to cry.

The whole time he thought in his head one single word applying to most of his life.

Why?

Why did his parents abandon him?

Why did the villagers hate him?

Why did he have no one to be there for him?

"Why? Why? Why?" Comet yowled bursting into a fresh round of tears.

Night fell the moon rose and Comet's crying changed into quiet sniffles.

Comet used a hoof to wipe his tears and with the other front hoof he reached under his pillow.

He pulled out a paper thin rectangular object. A card

The backside was a solid black but on the front was what appeared to be a illustration of a discolored Pony surrounded by five balls and over him there was one big one.

Now you might wonder what this is? This card is all Comet has of his family.

When he was sent to live along Comet found out his parents had left something in the basket when they abandoned him.

Of course they didn't know he knew this so when he add the chance he sneaked into the Mayor's office and took it.

What he didn't know was that the card wasn't the only thing they left him.

Staring at the card Comet looks up the the silver-white moon and whispers that one word.

"Why?"
