Chapter 15: No Place in this World

Location: Fifty Miles from Bronypaloosa

Time: Ten minutes before Attack

The Equestrian Space Defender Sector ED-2 Branch, was enjoying one of their usual breaks when a message from Head Quarters came through. They all jumped to their hooves and went to the magical holographic screen.

Asteroid Belt: Branch ED-2 can you hear me?

Pegasus ED-2: Hear you loud and clear, what's the problem?

Asteroid Belt: We have an unidentified object moving for your sector, a personal request from Princess Celestia *they all pay more attention* Get to Bronypaloosa ASAP, the object will most likely fall there, the Elements of Harmony are in that area.

Pegasus ED-2: Understood, I'll mobilize the squad right away. *transmission terminates* All right everypony, we have a very important job to do, even more so than usual, so I want pegasi in the air in one minute, is that clear?

The ED-2 ESD all saluted.

Location: Equestria, Bronypaloosa

Time: Current Time

The Mane 6 and Harbinger were having a stare down with the massive dragon. Unlike the movies the mares were absolutely terriefied, even though they put on their bravest faces. Harbinger was the least intimidated, but by least it meant not at all. The dragon just looked at the crowd ignoring their 'saviors'. Rainbow Dash frustrated that she was being ignored flew up in the dragon's face.

Rainbow Dash:*angrily* Hey! Don't ignore us! You think that if you're big you scare us.

The Dragon: Actually no, I know that because I'm big, I actually terrify you.

The rainbow Pegasus started fuming, she wasn't going to let some dragon make fun of her.

Harbinger: He is right. You are indeed all terrified.

The Mane 6 gave him cross looks.

Harbinger: What exactly is it that you want with these ponies?

The Dragon: They don't belong to this world, I want them removed from here.

Harbinger: By all considerations, I am not part of this world as well.

The Dragon: There is a larger scale to the world I refer to. I ask you to not interfere.

Harbinger: I will not interfere with your work.

The ponies all stared at him in shock, over his statement.

Applejack: *in disbelief* Ha'binger, what the hay? We 'ave tah protect these 'ere ponies.

Twilight: We'll need your help with this fight, you're the strongest of all of us.

Pinkie: Yeah, it's no fun if you don't join us in the party.

Rainbow Dash: We're gonna show this dragon what it means to make fun of us.

The crowd was murmuring in agreement, they didn't know who the Reaper was, but from what the Mane 6 was saying, he may give them a bigger chance to win than before, not that they were doubting they could beat the dragon without him.

Harbinger: I understand that you are a powerful creature, so I wish to see just how powerful you are. My name I Harbinger.

The Dragon: My name is the End Dragon, I see that you not only are the most powerful, but you are also the wisest of the group.

Rainbow Dash: Twilight's the smartest in the group and she wants to beat your butt.

End Dragon: There is a difference between wise and smart. A smart person knows how to get out of trouble. A wise person knows how not to get into trouble in the first place. You are obviously neither.

For the Rainbow Dash fans in the crowd, that was an outrage. Throwing away any fear they had for the dragon before, they started shouting at him.

Crowd Brony: Hey, don't you dare insult Rainbow Dash, she's a lot cooler than you are!

Another Brony: Yeah, she and her friends did have more achievements than you ever had!

Third Brony: So don't you insult Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash is the best pony!

The rainbow Pegasus was a little embarrassed at the compliments, yet it also made her feel even more confident. All of this however vanished, when a nearby building exploded. They all looked in shock and noticed the dragon's extended claw, he turned towards the ponies with a glare that could probable make even Discord stack his underwear neatly.

End Dragon: Three out of three. Tough luck bronies.

The End Dragon took the air and landed on one of the buildings destroying it. The unicorns including Twilight fired spells at the dragon who wasn't even fazed. The earth ponies launched lassoes in the air that latched onto various scales, with a mighty tug they immobilized the dragon. The unicorns further immobilized the dragon with Telekinesis spells. Pegasi jumped on clouds and started firing lightning bolts each hitting their target. The End Dragon roared as electricity painfully ripped through his entire body.

All of the ponies were smirking at the fruits of their efforts.

Twilight: Keep this up everypony, we're gonna win.

Pinkie Pie pulled out her party cannon and aimed it right at the dragon's head and fired. The dragon was slightly disoriented by the mass of streamers, cake and various other party items covered his vision. He felt multiple hooves connecting with his scales, as the earth ponies bucked him hard. One certain mare giving him the hardest buck.

Harbinger was watching the entire fight from one of the roofs, he was analyzing the dragon. The building then started collapsing when the dragon hit it with his tail.

Harbinger:*sullenly* This had to be a joke.

The building collapsed, burying the Reaper under rubble.

The black dragon was struggling against the restrains. His tail nearly hit a group of ponies, but Rarity jumped between them holding a gem shield, that absorbed the hit. Ropes started breaking, spells started failing. After a long struggle he broke free and took the air again. Lightning bolts started cracking again. Some hit him, others didn't.

The End Dragon didn't notice when Pinkie flew up on a bicycle and fired her Party Cannon again. Rarity levitated the shield and started firing gems at the dragon's scales, each leaving scrapes and scratches. Unicorns fired spells at the dragon's exposed stomach blowing the wind out of him. Twilight's body turned into purple energy, everypony watched in amazement, as the purple unicorn charged right into the black dragon's stomach, causing him to stumble a bit in the air.

Fluttershy flew up to the dragon and used her Stare on him. He stopped to a hover upon seeing her eyes. The ponies knew this would be a good distraction, a certain Rainbow Pegasus flew up high then started a dive. A mach cone started forming.

Rainbow Dash: Fluttershy! DODGE!

The yellow Pegasus flew immediately out of the way and as soon as she did, Rainbow Dash made a Sonic Rainboom. The multicolored shockwave hit the dragon square in the chest and wings, sending him flying towards the nearby forest.

The won, the ponies and bronies started cheering. The Mane 6 pulled each other into a group hug. They beat Nightmare Moon, Discord and now this Dragon. Ponies started pulling out various food items trying to bring them to the Mane 6. The celebration was cut short when the air started trembling. It suddenly became harder to breathe. Many ponies lost consciousness. There was a strange energy in the air, Twilight recognized it as magic energy and not just normal unicorn magic, it was dragon magic, a massive surge of dragon magic.

Crowd Brony: *panicking* What the hay is this? What's happening.

Twilight: Dragon Magic and it's massive.

They all turned towards were the End Dragon fell, they saw him standing in the on the ground, black energy seeping from his scales. The air magic energy around his body was so dense that it made the air darker.

End Dragon: If you are done playing, I will start working seriously.

The dragon seemed like he wasn't even fazed by the Rainboom.

Rainbow Dash: How the hay is he alright after that? I hit him with right on.

The End Dragon took the air, the magic energy in the air dissipated a bit, due to the distance. Upon reaching a few miles in the air, he stopped to a hover. Energy started charging in his mouth, the ponies on the ground were staring confused, but Twilight understood what he wanted to do.

Twilight: If that attack hits us we're done for. We have to make a shield using the Elements of Harmony.

They all nodded and started concentrating, the necklaces and tiara appeared. They started conjuring a shield which immediately started glowing with all the colors of the rainbow.

Twilight: Move closer, the shield will be stronger that way.

They bronies all obliged and huddled in closer. A little closer than needed.

The dragon finished charging its attack and fired.

Location: Equestria, Canterlot, Equestrian Space Defenders HQ

Time: Around the same time

Celestia: Are you sure about this? Was it a dragon that you saw?

Pegasus ED-2: Yes your majesty, I will send video feed.

The image changed showing Bronypaloosa in the distance. It showed how the dragon was fighting the ponies. How they attacked with spells, lightning bolts, lassoes. How Pinkie used her party cannon, Twilight her Magic Charge, Fluttershy her stare and how Rainbow Dash sent the dragon flying away with a Sonic Rainboom.

Everpony sighed in relief. Luna who had joined the room earlier smiled.

Luna: As expected from the mares who were able to defeat Discord and save me from Nightmare Moon.

Celestia: *smiling* My sentiments exactly, sister.

Pegasus ED-2: Wait something's – Holy hay, the air's trembling. What is this?

Asteroid Belt: What's happening?

Pegasus ED-2: There's something in the air, it feels like… magic.

The dragon took the air and reaching a few miles started charging an attack. From the altitude of the pegasi cameraman, they could see the dragon clearly. Celestia and Luna's eyes widened, there was only one dragon with such magic. The fired a beam of black energy right into the shield. It held.

They noticed the rainbow shield above the town, everypony sighed in relief. The beam hit the shield, which was holding. The relief was cut short when the shield imploded and the attack hit the ground creating a massive explosion. The black half sphere of the blast was a around two miles high and several miles in diameter. The blast dissipated and all that remained… was silence.

Location: Equestria, Former Location of Bronypaloosa

Time: Moments later

There was a massive crater in the ground. There was no debris, no cracks, it looked almost like someone just erased that tract of land of the face of Equestria. The smoke cleared and in the middle of the crater was a small yellowy-orange shield. Harbinger was standing on his back legs with his fore legs extended to his sides. The Mane 6 were unconscious inside the shield. The End Dragon landed next to the shield.

Harbinger: You could finish this now, but for me it would make no difference. For them on the other hand it would be another story.

End Dragon: They had nothing to do with this, so I will spare them this time.

Harbinger raised an eyebrow, but before he could ask any questions the dragon took the air and flew up. Disappearing behind the mountains. He stopped the shield, and dropped to the ground. In the distance the voices of many pegasi could be heard and other ponies including that of Princess Celestia, who teleported the entire distance to see if the ponies were still alive.

The first domino has fallen, the Code will be called.
